John Wesley: Absolute pleasure to work with! Had 2 very large walnut trees in my yard that were in desperate need of pruning and limb removal. Mark, the owner, gave me a very fair & honest free estimate and 2 prices; 1 price if they haul the wood away & 1 price if they leave the wood. In my case I kept the wood which saved me $200! Thought this alone with walnut was a VERY honest business practice!Then, they were FAST to get me scheduled and the work done. Mark's sons do the work and without driving heavy trucks onto your property. It was a BLAST to watch the guys work! They climb the tree and a very particular about tree balance, crossover limbs and removing deadrot. Micah, Jerry, Mark & Austin were obvious experts in the way the attached ropes and took off even the biggest branches AND did so while managing my & my neighbors fence, which survived without a scratch! Jay T. DuBois-Jones: I called to set up tree removal services. A couple days before the scheduled appointment for an estimate a receptionist called to confirm our appointment on a specific Friday between 1:30pm and 5pm. We took off work to wait for someone to come and do an estimate during the allotted time. No one ever showed up. No one called to say that the person coming to do the estimate wasn't coming. Waste of my time. I'll be looking for service elsewhere.

There was no way to get a truck near the trees, so they carefully cleared a path to avoid damaging anything and hauled all the trimmings to road for mulching, and did fine job cleanup afterwards. They removed a big tree that was hollowed out by carpenter ants. My yard and driveway have some narrow angles, so it was hard to maneuver the equipment they needed to the back, but they were really creative and figured out a way to get a lift back there so they could cut down the tree safely. They removed all the branches over my house, cleaned up the dead beaches off another tree, and cut down a stump in my front yard that the previous owner left in a mess. They cleaned up my roof and my yard afterwards and left it looking really nice! And they did it all for a great price! Just me: Wlns exposed this fraud finally! Owes us over $5400 and I have proof of everything!JD Gibson is a complete scam artist!! Do not hire him I wish I would have seen these reviews before we did he took our money and ran and it was excuse after excuse after excuse since June 13th. Now he's completely ghosted us and won't return any calls he gave us the lift excuse to on June 20th, before the other review in July. He also sent me a false insurance document in case anything happened if he actually did show up and do any work and I called his insurance company and he has no active policy with them! He is also listed under the business name J&L Tree Service so don't call them either.

He sent an invoice (not with Lansing tree service Pros) and it said tree removal and stumping the stump. He arranged for a guy to come out Monday and I waited all day. No show! I phoned JD and he arranged for "his" guy to come here Tuesday at noon. Another no show! Tried calling JD and never answered or called back. I tried calling Lansing Tree Service Pros and the calls (several of them) went to voice service. It turns out your call service was sent to JD's phone. Still no calls. Stump is still in the ground. Chance Sharp: Came out and gave a free quote to have a branch cut that was growing over my house. During that he told me all about the tree and what to expect in the future with it's growth. Gave me a quote for my requested branch to be removed and a second one to do a full trim of the branches that were getting overgrown.They were quick and efficient with the actual trimming itself and they left the yard spotless, woodchipping all the branches and hauling them away.Service:Tree trimming pruning

He did not show up, and didn't text until 7:50pm that night to apologize. No problem - we rescheduled. I get it, things happen.The day of our new appointment, again he didn't show up at the time we agreed on. I texted checking in, he apologized but couldn't make it. Again, I get it, it was his daughter's birthday.We rescheduled for a third time. And again, he didn't show up and didn't text to let me know.So, I texted him and said we're going to go in a different direction. Then he proceeded to try to guilt trip me and said "good luck". Very unprofessional. I'm very understanding of contractors' long hours and hard jobs, but I really don't appreciate the no call/no show three times in a row. I also have a job and had to shuffle my schedule around to be home on the days we agreed on. Would not recommend!

Zach Monroe: I cant say enough good things about Two Rivers Tree Service, I requested a quote from their website and got a very quick response from Rich to set up a time to come and check out the tree that needed to be removed. He provided very competitive rates for both tree removal and stump grinding. We did have to reschedule a few times do to the recent winter storms but Rich was on top of the communication and we were able to find a day that worked. The tree removal itself took a couple hours and the guys working did a great job cleaning up the site. We have the stump grinding set up for April. Scott Scotson: I had a tree that was causing my solar panels to be shaded and therefore called Rubys. The tree was taller than my house and very close to both my house and my neighbors house.Rubys came the next day, on time, and quickly removed the tree and chipped up other branches that I had in a giant pile. They cleaned up using rakes and bins and even used a blower.They were friendly and effective.For the cost, it was very reasonable. I had cut down a bunch of smaller trees and was considering renting a chipper, but it wasn't much more to just have Rubys do the work for me. Plus I didn't have to worry about being put on YouTube for dropping a tree on my house!

cody schleicher: This company left a mess scattered in my yard from coming through to cut down a neighbors trees as well as leaving messes at two of my neighbors houses and refused to clean up then decided to slander my neighbor and essentially call him a drunk when he wrote a negative review on the service recieved. I have lived next to this particular neighbor as long as he has lived in the house and visit with him daily, I can say that he is far from intoxicated wether it be 9am or midnight.

Claire Henrys: We needed 3 large trees removed from our backyard, 2 of the 3 were in really tough spots. 1 next to our house and fence, the other was next to our fence and in between our shed and the neighbors garage. Earl came out on a Tuesday night, gave us a good estimate and showed up bright and early on Wednesday morning. The entire job (which was quite large) was finished before noon on Thursday. They were polite, hard working, & professional. They were able to quickly get all 3 trees down and trim up the others without any damage to anyones property and our yard looks amazing! His wife stopped out as well to go over the contract and take our payment, she was wonderfully kind & efficient. They did a ton of work for a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to use them again and will be referring them to everyone I know.

Farhan Bhatti: Awful, rude, disrespectful. They started work at 7 AM on a Saturday in our neighborhood, making all kinds of noise cutting down trees and disrupting the sleep of everyone who lives here. They were tremendously rude when I called to complain. And they are in violation of the governor’s stay home order since they are a nonessential service. They should be fined. I would never do business with a company that is so rude and tone deaf.
Justyn Williams: Wet molded wood for my fireplace. I called about this, was told someone would get back with me....no such luck. This is the 3rd bad batch. One batch had termites and i had to toss a great deal of it. They also damaged my front lawn. I have rented the yard roller 3 times trying to flatten my lawn and its still supper difficult to mow on my riding mower due to the deep tire tracks. ....2 years later.

Joseph Bissell-Maynard: I called these guys yesterday morning. The owner was at my house less than an hour later to give me an estimate. I was already impressed. He gave me a reasonable estimate that fell dead center of three other estimates I got. I asked him when he could do the work, and he replied first thing the next morning. First thing his morning, I got a call from Ruby in the office to let me know her crew would be out within the hour. 40 minutes later, they were hard at work cutting down the trees. They worked quickly and professionally. They did an excellent job grinding the stumps (had shoddy/incomplete stump grinding done before) and they cleaned up very well. They even very kindly moved a rope swing higher up a branch on a large maple tree in my back yard for me (was higher than I was able to manage with my 30ft extension ladder), and also trimmed off a few dead branches on that tree while they were up there, which was above and beyond and very kind. I highly recommend Ruby’s Tree Service and won’t hesitate to use them again the next time I need any trees trimmed or removed. I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Courtney Estala: We used Top Notch to cut up a tree that had already fallen and take down the other trunk. From the start, the office staff was pleasant on the phone to schedule the quote. When they came out for the quote, they were very nice and listened carefully to what we needed. Scheduling to have the work done was much faster than I anticipated and although I was a little concerned with the amount of rain we had, they assured me that they wouldn’t need to drive their trucks inside the horse pasture. On the day of the service, they showed up on time and were professional, friendly, and courteous. Because the tree was hanging over the horse fence, they took down the corner of the fence and replaced it perfectly once they were done. They took time to clean up the area and rake even though it’s a hay field. We very much appreciated their attention to detail and getting the job done right. Ryan Doom: We had 4 enormous, unhealthy oak trees that were each 80ft+ in height and towered over multiple homes, garages, and power lines. After a couple of them dropped branches that damaged property and vehicles we decided to have them removed.I had some friends refer a couple local tree companies to me and the first two I spoke with didn't even have the confidence or equipment to tackle the job. Top Notch was confident they could do the job and had a quote back to me the next day. I had to be out of town when majority of the work was completed but my neighbors said they were polite, courteous, and they had a good time chatting with them.Due to the complexity of the job it was no surprise that a couple branches took a wrong bounce or snapped off prematurely in the process due to the trees rotten condition. A rouge branch scrapped a little house siding and they had a contractor there in a couple days who replaced the piece with an exact color match. grace Baisch: They came down to my north Jackson home to give me an estimate. 24 miles for them. Our septic was down and we needed a big walnut tree down before the install. We had an appointment set up for 2 weeks then on the day they were supposed to start the job I get a text that they would have to reschedule because there had been a storm and they had emergencys to deal with. Our septic was down and the septic company was scheduled to start the next day. My job was an emergency. I had called their insurance company to make sure they had the proper insurance.Was told they had liability insurance but not workman's comp. I don't have homeowners insurance but that doesn't matter because if a tree company is doing the job they need the proper insurance. When I called the company after the text the guy said he was doing me a favor coming 24 miles to my house and he complained about me checking on his insurance. Trying to turn the responsibility on me for his utter incompetence. I was so blown away with this company's lack of human compassion. I had to pray for weeks to get the rotton taste out of my mouth.

X. Fan: They did an OK job of removing the tree, but they also left their highly polluting vehicles idling on the street for long periods of time for no reason. They weren't even inside the vehicles. This company must be loaded to be able to burn so much gasoline for no reason. Unfortunately, it also polluted our neighborhood and probably made my neighbors angry.
