Lansing Institute of Urology: what do users think?
Tania Coats: Wish I could leave a negative star. I have never left a bad review on ANYONE in my 52 yes of life. This place is awful. The staff is not happy. You are always forced to leave a msg. And they hardly return your call unless you leave multiple msges. Dr's. And the PA is very arigant and condensending. Do not listen to you at all. Think they know it all. When in fact they do not. Tried telling them I had a stone on the opposite side then what their ultra sound sound dictated. I was understanding and thought there was a mistake. They took my concern as a PROBLEM. I was yelled at by the scheduling nurse for surgery. I had to ask her to calm down. Upon my demands they reluctantly sent me for another scan. And refused to open the results. All the time I was scheduled for surgery. I had to go to my primary Dr. To get my results. And YES the stone was on opposite side from where I was planning to have surgery. I gave them so many chances to rectify my situation. They last minute looked at the most recent MRI after I told the nurse to stop yelling at me. I told her to open my file and look for yourself then please call me back. She did. I got a call back confirming and was back pedeling how she was new and didn't know there was an unread scan. That was it. Surgery was cxld. I now see a U Of M urologist....let me tell you...they are a kind...professional.. and fine oiled machine. NOT THIS MEAT MARKET.
Bonnie Ward: Dr.Yousif is always gentle and polite. Answers all my questions. The staff is wonderful. Would advise anyone with bladder problems to go see them. Top notch office.
Kevin Ely: Great service, excellent results.
Brenda Alpers: I had been a patient of Dr. Yousif's for over 20 years. He is nice enough and knows what he's doing as a Dr but for one thing, I never saw him during office visits and two, we felt like the office was a urology machine where you get seen but you feel like just another number and three, it was hard to get ahold of them but calls were eventually returned. I've since moved on to another location and the doctor actually comes in the room. It's more personable and worth the extra miles to get there.
James Forsyth: Dr. Yousif is wonderful! Terrific bedside manner and very informative. A true professional and very interested in the patient's satisfaction.
Andrew Fullard: Dr Yousif was calm and professional during my surgery. The office staff were helpful and straightforward. A good healthcare experience.
Bill Dunham: Doctor Yousif is absolutely amazing. After 2 trips to the ER for ungodly kidney stone pain Dr.Yousif created an appointment for me on a Friday morning. After seeing me he sent me to the ER and called them to have me admitted. When he finished his full Friday of office visits he came to the ER on Friday evening to perform an emergency surgery to put in a Stent and relieve the pain. For him to give up his Friday evening for one patient is incredible. There aren't many doctors like this left in the world.
Billy Tobias: Very friendly and professional staff. They definitely made my awkward and embarrassing visit so much easier...
Matt Birmingham: Very helpful and professional.
Michael Cauzillo: Made the mistake of having a procedure in office Can't prove it but got extremely sick and could of died from it. Dr Y may be a great surgeon but not for me after that
C.L. Adams: I had the resume proceedure wore a cathater for a week. It did not work. I asked to speak to the doctor cause i went out of state. She said find a doctor where i was. He never called me.
DELANO STEPHENSON: My exam went wellHad a procedure done, and was told to call if I had a problems going forward. Several months laterI call for a appointment and was refused because of a 25$ co-pay, which I intend on paying when I get my check, but I felt that was discouraging given the level of discomfort I've been having. As a patient I just feel like going to another DrIt shouldn't be that way when you are in serious pain.
Jalen Watts: This “Doctors Office” hasn’t answered the phone in 4 days. From neither me or the doctor referring me. I will now be traveling over an hour for the next recommended urologist I probably dodged a bullet.
Patrick sherwood: This place is an absolute joke
Ernest Everts: Dr Yousef and his staff was absolutely fantastic, surgery went excellent, aftercare went excellent, recovery went excellent would highly recommend them to anybody looking for prostrate surgery
ezekiel merren: I appreciate the staff at Lansing Institute of Urology. Dr Dimitriou and his staff have been extremely helpful and answered so many of my questions surrounding infertility. Thank you again!
Donald Starkweather: Was unable to urinate. Now I can
Trever P: Doctor did a great job snipping me up, and was super professional like he's done it a thousand times. Healing up great after only 3 days
SnB S.: Appointment was at 8:10, never got in to room until 8:45, and it is now 9:40 and still have not seen the doctor.
Lynne Kramer: Great office
Kal M: Quick response from the front desk. I used their chat window (Lansing Institute of Urology URL) to request the Doctor appointment. Within few minutes someone responded for that inquiry. Very good service.

Sparrow Medical Group Urology: what do users think?
Diana Rose: Allison is the Greatest!! She does everything possible to help your medical visit be the best for you! Thank you for being a fantastic, caring human being! You are so sweet and very appreciated! 😄💖💖
Amelia Wheaton: In February/March of 2022 I had a urine sample lost and after a week of not receiving my results I contacted them and that's when they discovered that it had been lost. Then I had an ultrasound and to get my results I was lied to 4 times that someone would just be calling me with my results and after not getting them I called back again and I was told I have to schedule an appointment to get my results. I decided to call back and not give a name and just simply ask how I obtain my results and once again I was told SOMEONE WOULD BE CALLING ME! After this happened I wanted to make a complaint and ask to speak with a supervisor I was told once again someone would be calling me.🤣 That never happened.I had to come back now November 2022 due to having a catheter placed at another hospital out of network and so I was going to follow up with a urologist in network and once again my experience has been horrible. I was told that the order for a procedure I needed to have done was sent over and I could go ahead and schedule it on Monday. I called again today because the scheduler said they did not receive the order as of yesterday. Again, I was told it was sent over. I asked them when and they told m TODAY. THEY NEVER SENT THE ORDER OVER until I called and complained about not being able to schedule even though I called on Wednesday to verify that it had been sent over! I am not happy with the care from SMG Urology and it makes me question the care I would recieve at any other Sparrow affiliates.
Ted K: No phone number listed for either the physician I saw or for his Urology practice at Sparrow? Really Sparrow? Also, access to send a message to the provider regarding anything other than business matters is now suspended (except for chargeable "evisits“) the epic app. Am I nothing more than a source for more $$ for Sparrow? I guess I need to search for a health system that cares!
Joseph Spitz: Very professional. Very thorough. Definitely would recommend.
Kyle Linscott: Very happy with the experience I had in office. Staff was polite and knowledgeable! Recommend!
First Name: This complaint is not about the medical survive. It is about their receptionist. For whatever reason, receptionist Cindy did not check in my mother when we arrived. After an hour wait, it turned out that we never were checked in. My mom is 82. She is in severe pain, she started crying when she heard that we waited in vain. Her blood pressure jumped to 184/90 when we finally saw a doctor. On a positive side, Sparrow emergency room is just across the road.
Colin Springer: Had outpatient surgery early in March, was supposed to have two post-op appointments within the three months following. It's now been 4 months, I have reached out numerous times and have NOT been contacted. The doctors were good during my surgery, but I find the lack communication unprofessional and l cannot recommend a practice that leaves their patients out in the wind.
Chris Dana: Horrible phone system.

Joseph W. Mashni, M.D: what do users think?
Jonathan Patton: Incompetent office staff. Filled out paperwork incorrectly three times in a row for Sparrow. Also faxed paperwork to the wrong number several times. Refused to phone the hospital, and seemed put out when asked for the fax # to be checked which they didn't do until for several days until I went to speak with them face to face. My father was hospitalized because of the long delay. Emergency room nurse, urology department, and infusion clinic in Sparrow called several times and never received a call back from the staff. Would not give us a call back either after calling every day for 5 days straight. Also told us they couldn't authorize anymore paperwork concerning internal bleeding. Urology department staff and head at Sparrow told us that was untrue as well, as it stemmed from the bladder, and was a urology problem. Since the staff didn't seem like they wanted to deal with us, we will be changing doctors and hopefully find a more competent staff that knows how to do their jobs.

MSU Health Care Urology: what do users think?
Drew Ramsey: Over the past few years, Dr. Zimmerman, his staff, and his intern students have been, and continue to be, stellar.Primarily for keeping off the dreaded “catheter.”..
Marleen Cornwell: Everyone was very polite and helpful.
Greg Spencley: Wow been dealing with urologist for years 8 different ones had prostate cancer since 2017 had a Prostatectomy in 2020 1st time to Doctor ZimmermanWhat a great guy seem to care and took time to go over things. Where the others doctors over the years rushed you in and out and you where just a number. Staff was very nice too! Thanks for caring!
Angie Burns: Was seen by a resident who told me a physical examination would be completed. The doctor came in, did no examination, gave me a medication, and sent me out the door. The medication does not work, and now they cannot fit me in with my schedule for an in person for 3 months. I will be going to the bathroom every 45 minutes until Christmas…And I’m a high school teacher.
Jenny Christiansen: My husband has now had two appointments cancelled, the second the morning of. The fact that they can’t even keep appointments makes me question their capabilities. We’ll be going elsewhere.
andrew blahblah: My surgery went so-so. My after effects and recovery were horrible. Lots of pain, and some scary after effects. This was not an easy o/p procedure where I went home, rested for a few days and was fine--which is 99.5% of the cases. However, staff and Dr Prudnick were caring and very responsive. Their care would have resulted in higher marks as I know things can go wrong in surgeries. BUT they really struggle to keep an appointment: I have had seven total appointments, four of them have been rescheduled, very disrespectful of my time, and pain.
Cat God: The staff here are very professional! I started to have a reaction to a medication and they were very prompt with the response to the situation and took great care of me in making sure I was alright. Some people might complain about the wait times but for the quality of care you’ll receive it’s worth it.
Matthew Shileikis: I had my vasectomy done by Dr. Prudnick and he was awesome. Highly recommended.
Gary Smith: MSU Urology should be shut down! My sister went in over 2 weeks ago to have a CT scan and tests done because she was in extreme pain and thought she had kidney stones. She relentlessly called after the tests were done to find out if the doctor had read the reports. After 2 weeks she went herself to get the reports and CD of the scan and called Sparrow Hospital crying after she read the reports that said she had 3 masses, one on her liver, spline, and kidneys. Sparrow has agreed to see her tomorrow after they heard her dilemma with MSU. What a shame, I thought Doctors cared,. This to me is damn near criminal, especially when Blue Cross will most likely be charged for an incomplete job, and my sister is suffering with the pain of the unknown.
Vanessa Westmoreland: My first two appointments were canceled by the doctor because of weather and reasons unknown. When I went to my appointment for a pessary device, they kept that appointment but didn't have enough devices to give me one. So, I had to make another appointment, at an extra cost to me. Six days before my appointment I called to make sure they had a pessary for me and, sure enough, they didn't. Good thing I didn't pay for another appointment to find that out. It is July 31 and I have been trying to get help from them since January. Extremely unprofessional and under prepared.
Dan Martin: Spent 11 days in the hospital and had Dr. Khatiwoda see me while in the hospital. She told me to make a follow up appt with her within 2 weeks of leaving hospital. Called office day I left hospital and staff told me they would call back with an appt. Been over 2 weeks now and they never called. I gave up trying. Have an appt next week with U of M Urologist. Can't recommend MSU Urology to anyone.
David Mills: Dr Rider Does not participate with the MSU S HEALTH TEAMS patient portal system severely diminishing the effectiveness of .the efforts of the Team and patient care. He was dismissive of the fact when he was informed of the missed protocol. He was rude and elitist as well. We were not pleased and found this to be very unusual for MSU. The MSU HEALTH TEAM IS about as good as it gets and expects participation to be useful.
Dan Laverty: Dr Rizer, the nurses and the entire staff are great. Friendly, professional and caring.
marktiffany Roberts: Dr. Barkowski was an amazing doctor. We had to see him for my sons kidneys (2010/2011) my son ended up having his left kidney removed and I give that man props that surgery took from 2pm to 10:30 pm with that robot thingy, amazing. He did an awesome job saving my boy. Thanks to him! 🙏😇
Kenneth Palmer: Had a kidney stone removed and stent removed by Dr. Davis. He is an upfront no BS kind of doctor. The procedures aren't the most enjoyable but Dr. Davis did it professionally.I took a star off because they scheduled me over the holidays and then had to reschedule with the latest rescheduling a month out. Other then that the front staff was also very pleasant to deal with.

Colton Prudnick, DO: what do users think?
Candice Dalton: I highly recommend doctor prudnick. I have been seeing him for several years for kidney stones and they listen and treat you like they want their family members to be treated. Thanks for all you do.
shannon young: I am verry happy with the way Dr prudnick took the time for me to explain my story and how to help went over everything and explains things if you have questions about something shows compassion I'm new to see him and can say iv suffered for a long time with bladder pain and tryd alot of bladder medicine s and outher bladder doctor s nothing helped I have noticed a Big difference for onece and an thankful
Daryl Green: Dr. Prudnick displayed a very high level of empathy for me as a patient. He took the necessary time to fully explain and answer all of my questions regarding my procedure. Dr. Prudnick is truly an awesome medical professional.
Don Tomlin: Do not go here!!! I've had issues after issues with this place. I did a survey the "manager " Melinda called me to see why I gave bad reviews. I told her but of course she didn't want to hear it. All she could do is stick up for Dr. Colton Prudnick. Then why call me and waste my time. She already had her opinion before even talking to me. Not professional at all. I will now be going somewhere that knows what they r doing.Tina
Katie Fox: He was so very sweet and kind when my husband was in so much pain. I’m very thankful my man was in such great hands! Seriously, GO to this guy if you want an awesome doctor.
Zaleski Law Firm PC: Dr. Prudnick is excellent, he knew my history and was very informative about my condition. I will continue with his service.
Debra Johnson: First appointment. He was kind, reassurance & professional. Answered all questions and thoroughly explained his plan.

Yousif Rafid H MD: what do users think?
Chad Arnett: Called in October to make an appointment for a procedure. Had an appointment in December that was then pushed to April due to emergency gallbladder removal. Called the office to check about the April apt because got a notice it would be at the hospital instead of in office. Was told by the office it was to have it done with the gallbladder, which was done in December! Canceled appointment and rescheduled for a 3rd time for May. Go in and the Dr. explains there is a hernia that may become an issue during the procedure so we won't be able to do it. Find out from the front office that is what the April appointment would have been!Terrible communication, they charged my card back in December and said they reimbursed us but never did. Told me to just "call billing". Then charged us even more at the May appointment but still didn't do any service! Probably won't be calling to reschedule, I'll just have McClaren do it.
Scheline Hoskins: Why would you go to a doctor you never get to see? His staff is not him. I tried to schedule an appointment for my dad to see Dr Yousif and his staff gives you the run around. Not impressed. When my dad has pain he can't wait 4 months out to see the doctor himself.
Anthony Bauer: I have been a patient of Dr. Yousif for many years. during the last several years I have had a UTI and have been prescribed a number of different antibiotics, none of which worked, more significantly during this time I never had a visit with Dr. Yousif; only his nurse or nurse practitioner. Recently the drug prescribed by the office has caused major urine bleeding and according to web documents should not be prescribed to patients over 75. I am 85 years old!
Joseph Hamel: Thorough 👍
Steve: Positive, professional, personal and very supportive. Highly recommend Dr. Yousif.
john dykstra: Wait at least 1 hrs each timeNot good
khan Safi: Yousif
