We wanted to pay more for higher quality because we have kids etc. This place has lots of brand at every price level and they service vacuums. Great experience, great store, excellent products.

Lauren LM: EDIT: Received a call from Adam; I clearly didn't hear the associate (Justin) correctly when he told me the price for replacing a belt on my vacuum. I heard $58, he actually said $15.80. Adam explained that most belt replacements are around that $15-$25 amount, which is what Justin had also told me this morning when I called. Adam also explained that AMEX is not good for small businesses - and would charge the store a very high rate on each transaction. My three star review earlier was based off of feeling like I was lured in with a reasonable estimate, then charged a high price - but now I realize I just need to get my hearing checked. Just as I said in my initial review the belt change was done in under a minute, but unlike earlier it was not as I thought ("expensive as hell!").

After wrapping up with another customer, Justin was able to not only fix my problem quickly and very reasonably, but also explained how I can fix it myself in the future. Janice Hewson: Lam's Sweeper Shop is a very reputable sweeper repair and sales shop. We took our almost 20 year old Dyson Animal Upright vacuum there too see if it could be repaired. The employee just we spoke with was very helpful. He said based on the age, not all parts are still available, but he believed the broken parts for ours were. He also said alhough it will take some labor time to do the repair, it may be money well spent. Customers with the newer Dyson's have said don't pickup animal hair nearly as well as the older model like ours and the newer versions don't last years like ours has. He said since we really liked how well our vacuum cleaned, if he can't get parts to repair, before spending hundreds on buying a brand new Dyson, to consider getting another older model that has been refurbished. I truly appreciated his knowledge and honesty. I also really like that Lam's will look at your sweeper, provide cost to repair, and they do not charge a fee for estimates!
