City Rescue Mission of Lansing: what do users think?
Madison Barton: Wonderful place that gives food shelter and hope to the community:)
Joe W: I appreciate what this place is doing to help get homeless people off the streets. It is an excellent place to volunteer to help feed the homeless.
Tina Blaylock: My first couple weeks wasn't bad, but because I had a job I got moved to a work dorm. That was when things went down hill and quickly. I started getting harassed and threatened by 2 of the other individuals in the room, because I snore. They also treated me like I was 2 when I am old enough to be their parent. When this was all brought to staffs attention they stated that there was nothing they could do because the beds were all full. They couldn't even switch me with anyone else. They said that I was completely safe. These girls threatened to beat me up, throw hard objects at me, and dump water on me. They can't keep the residents safe. I packed up my things and left. One of the girls had been kicked out nermours times for the same thing.
Brittney Jones: Some of the staff can be rude but someone has to investigate on where the funding is going at the woman's mission
Korey Murray: Very helpful individuals
Axel J: If you not white they won’t help
Amber Brownharrison: Great place
Eugene Turner: "There's no love like Christian hate."This place seems terrible by the reviews left.I had a friend stay there and their response wasn't much different from the ones here.
Business Man: Tough bunch in here and they are severely understaffed. You guys need to put in some applications and help these people out if possible.
Amber Barton: Great place if you are in need of shelter. Safe place to be. They provide meals, showers, and laundry to their guests in addition to a place to lay their heads at night. Free for guests. Consider volunteering your time or donating to help them help others in need.
Dawn “Dukes” Henke: It was my savior they fed and housed me I'll be forever grateful.
Martha Willingham: Nakianakiayafields thanks lansing michigan stay withen the state
Mel Schoonmaker: This place does NOTHING to keep people from passing around illness! Covid “precautions” are a joke, they don’t “separate” you if sick. Also RSV going around (3 babies HOSPITALIZED!) and ppl living there are FORCED to expose themselves AND their kids by going to “chapel” every day, all packed in there with ppl who are CLEARLY sick…wonder if this would be taken more seriously if I called the health dept!!!
Quentin Moon: This place is a dump, the workers are rude, disrespectful, and the building is rotting into the ground beneath it! NO security to deal with the violence! I've personally seen men beaten bloody before in this place with no help till the cops showed up! They want another million dollars to remodel that dump too!
laquita gary: Resources.
Robert Deal: Men's shelter very rude doesn't want to help victims at all.
Joann Rose-Freymuth: They are good people for helping me out and for giving me a place to sleep eat shower and eat
Sheila Stutz: I'm glad to be out of the elements.!
No friends Watch please: Homeless shelter does not allow you to lay down during the day only flaw.
Seth Peeper: I was there to drop off donations. I am thankful for places like this.
Paul White: Would give you a 5 star but now you dont take socks? Since when dont less fortunate need socks?? I have been donating here forever..not at all happy with this mission!!

City Rescue Mission of Lansing: what do users think?
Miles Lowber: Chris b! Older gentlemen on night shift! turned me away three night in a row! I have slept under a bridge since! worst worker there
Riko Suave: Very friendly and helpful people. If you are ever in need of shelter stop here.Only downside is they want you in by 6pm and out by 9am so if you are homeless and have nowhere to go... Well good luck basically.
amber petersen: Shame on you for forcing religion on people in return for shelter. It should be illegal to do this.😡
Frodo Adams: An absolute gem in our community... This place is extremely important. Protect the mission at all costs!!💚💚Also, staff are beyond kind and helpful.
Joey Pavia: Simple... Absolutely the very best.. From top to bottom.City Rescue Mission..THE VERY BEST
Montez Grandberry: Was thinking about going I’m currently in need but reviews say they just give you a place to lay your head . Do they actually help you find housing , vouchers ect ? Just wanna see if it’s the right place for me . Single male
Dawson Thompson: Thank you City Rescue mission for everything! I couldn’t be more grateful for everything that you guys do. God has shown me that being on the streets is no fun. I’m loving where I live at we have horses and they teach me life lessons that I’ll need so that I won’t end up back in the situation I was in. I also, would like to volunteer there sometime since you guys helped me with my issues I would like to give it back. Gods got a great plan for each employee that works there and I’m so glad that I got the help that I needed from there.
Jack Mills: Caring and compassionet to the homeless
Clifford Thompson: This is Aaron Meehan I was a recepiant of your service about 7 years ago i think and you were the best shelter i was at thank you for everything
Eric Armbrustmacher: They help a number of people. I went with my mom who dropped off items to donate
Michael Brndnbrg: If I could or you I WOULD NOT come here! It's filthy, allows violence to occur without recourse and has NO SECURITY! This place was given almost a MILLION dollar donation and rather than make the shelter more secure! BLEW IT ALL on the building next door which will cost over a MILLION dollars to renovate. They also DO NOT HELP find housing! Their job is to perpetuate homeless to stay in business.
Richard Miller: This place has helped me on more than one occasion first time death's in the family, this time BOSS well X-boss and so called friend haha
James Wehagen: It's a place to sleep but, they really don't do much to help with getting the homeless into housing.
Laura Marrison: I am a covid tester. I have been going to this shelter once a week since 2/21. The staff seem to care very much about their residents. During this time I have witnessed great compassion from both staff and residents.
DeMack Dawson: Thanks for the good food and for the awesome word of prayers that you give. Means alot.
Sean Stelmashenko: This is a clean shelter that offers dinner and breakfast to guests. Plus a shower, locker and clean bedding for the evening
Ronnie Kirby: Good food and clean place. Always beds open rarely turning down anyone.
Richard Martin: This is an amazing place, doing amazing things for God, changing people's lives.
Scott Mallery: Forced religion
Sherrinda Bailey: Great place to find China dishes
Rennsda Ozanich: This place serves food for the homeless and I love go help

Sonia Campos: I was there and they are wonderful folks
Antonio Vallin: Great place to help people
Benjamin Armstrong: Amazing
Clem Snide: If you're a substance abuser or chronic malingerer, they love you and will overlook a great deal of bad behavior. If you're someone who is seeking or has a job, and is using the short stay to help yourself (as one ought) you will get attitude from volunteers over late arrivals/early outs due to work schedule, failure of staff to communicate in/out times for work, etc.Typical liberal mindset enabling/condescension program.
Laura Larson: I cannot attest for the staff treatment to guests that stay here, but while I visited, I noticed how clean the establishment was and how committed the director was in trying to help out those that need assistance. It was a friendly environment for those seeking a home, at least for a short while.
Robert Scott: Its a great place to stay until you get yourself together they help you alot. My past experience there was a rude and immature staff worker there when i was there but i know they have improved.
julio martinez: The shelter is great, I'm glad to know there are good hearts out there., staff, wow. Unbelievably rude. Af. Won't say names because don't want to embarrassed anyone. To: Staff. I understand you are dedicating your time whether you get pay or not. And that's great however don't be rude to jump to conclusions, let people explain things, give a better attitude, don't give fake personality. Which I know that's hard for some of you.
