TE3NAGE UNICORN: They forgot many items that I paid for tonight. Come on. Do better. Have you seen their reviews? They served a salad to a little girl with plastic beads in it that she almost choked on. Not a safe restaurant.

Jessica Smith: I really have been disappointed more and more with Zaytoon. The good is okay, but it used to be great. The service is mediocre, but it used to be great. The quality and correctness of my past three orders has been downright horrid. Missing items, takeout containers that weren't closed and dressing went everywhere... Just disappointing. When attempting to have the errors corrected, the hostesses/cashiers always seem to have better things to do. I think I'm done with Zaytoon. Sad.

Heather Field: We found several beads in our salad. My daughter almost choked on it. They apologized and were aware that a bracelet broke during prep. It seemed to me that they could have easily avoided serving that to customers. They gave us a gift card, and we tried them a second time. That time, I paid extra for a salad and never got it. Other parts of our order were wrong. The restaurant is not very clean either. We will not be back.

Ilona Forshey: I grew up eating Mediterranean food, so I've eaten a lot of it over the years. This place is fantastic. For a very understated place, they are serving up insanely amazing food. They also only serve lamb on weekends, which isn’t mentioned on their website or menus.The food they actually had was very disappointing. The tabouli was flavorless, as were the Greek fries. The flafel and hummus was ok. The bread was really good. Overall this trip was terrible experience.

Nabeel Kasim: After hearing a lot of great things about Zaytoons, I came here for lunch with a friend. It was an overcast day so I must admit photos of the exterior look a bit dilapidated. Nonetheless, upon walking into the restaurant, the dining area was noticeably dark. They had a huge menu with lots of options to choose from. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. It came with rice hummus, shawarma, and choice of soup or salad. I went with their lentil soup. The rice was basic par-boiled rice, nothing to write home about. As for the hummus, lentil soup, and chicken, there was a nice mix of spice and textures that made the dish a yummy combination. But, there was nothing significant about presentation, flavors, or preparations that really sets this restaurant apart as mediterranean restaurant. While the food didn’t showcase much flare, I must say the staff and service is reason to come back. The lovely ladies who were working hard to take orders and deliver food to tables were super friendly and made sure that we were taken care of. All in all, Zaytoon’s is a place to grab a quick bite for lunch with friends, family, or coworkers but I really wouldn’t credit it for much more than that. Given the location, they are doing the area a service.

I even bought a strawberry banana smoothie and it was so fresh I'm glad I chose these items. The decor is that of a grocery store rather than a restaurant, so it's very casual, but clean and comfortable, and not crowded. The service is excellent. It's a perfect example of Middle Eastern neighborhood market food in Michigan. The prices are low, the atmosphere is casual, and the food is top notch.

Duane Schott: I got a chicken kabob and it was terrible!! Chicken was dry and veggies were slimy. It’s obvious they cooked it ahead of time and microwaved it. Salad had too much vinegar. I threw it all away.

Lydia Itsell: Yeah…I know…a 5 out of 5.But nostalgia and taste really do align with locals when it comes to Woody’s.If you grew up in the outer Lansing area in the Aughts…it was our first taste of hummus before weight watchers deemed it the healthiest pairing to 0 point options (no dig, it’s true!)Point being…in my 30 years, Lansing has opened its doors to an incredible tapestry of culinary endeavors I’ve been fortunate enough to witness and taste. I can only hope this is a sign that our community is opening not just its palette…but it’s mind.I was forutunate enough to be reminded of what an impression Woody’s made on me when I lived in said “Lansing bubble” where Taco Bell was my first introduction to eating Al fresco.Thank you Marie for reminding me of what an impression and trailblazer woodys has been in my life and our community!……and for the extra piece of namoura. ❤️Vegetarian options: It’s VERY much vegetarian friendly with litterally half its menu split in two with half of it being “vegetarian”. Edrees: As someone who has lived in Michigan for a while and has sampled Mediterranean cuisine from various cities like Detroit, Dearborn, Troy, and others, I must say that this particular establishment is overrated. The lamb lacks any discernible taste despite its tenderness, and the chicken also lacks flavor. When it comes to prices, Sahara in Sterling Heights offers better value for money, and their food is superior, especially if you don't mind dining at a chain restaurant. However, if you're looking for a local restaurant that provides a more satisfying experience, I highly recommend trying Tabooli. If you're seeking a diluted version of Mediterranean cuisine, this place might suit you.
Marios Fotiadis: I placed an order of chicken shawarma through uber eats, yet the only thing that tasted right was the rice and the pita .The chicken tasted and smelled completely different than any other time, as if it was from an older batch.I called the store right away to report my horrible experience,however the manager seemed to not care about my complain and kept reassuring me that next time he will take care of my order.

Ever since I moved to East Lansing for college, I have been missing my hometown Mediterranean restaurant, and I was so pleased to discover a place that makes food as good as they do. I like to treat myself to carryout once a week, and as much as I try to switch it up, it always ends up being carryout from here! The owners and employees are so kind, the food is delicious, and the prices are great. I have tried everything on the menu basically, but I would highly recommend the crushed lentil soup, makhali, veggie and/or lamb grape leaves, lamb kabob dinner, chicken shawarma dinner, garlic sauce, and their health cocktail raw juice.

Justin Petrill: Used to have great gyros, but my last visit was awful. They forgot my order and then gave me a gyro so greasy the wrap fell apart instantly. The food also was cold and overall a bad experience.
Hama: Their food is not bad most of the time but recently I’ve been getting the chicken shawarma and rice that they have and I’m so sad each time as the rice is very uncooked and hard. I end up having to throw the food away because after just 5 minutes of trying to eat it despite the uncooked rice, my tears flood my plate.
