J S: Let me start by saying this is the best Rent-A-Center! The process is really easy and helps individuals who can’t or don’t want to put down a huge lump sum on an item be able to afford nice things. I’d suggest if you do decide to go through here to READ your contact ASK the questions you need to ask so that you UNDERSTAND what the process is. The staff does explain exactly what’s gonna happen. Some of the reviews I read on here are people just not educating themselves on what the process is or they don’t care enough to pay attention. The staff can and will answer your questions. I will be back!

Vicki Selva: I rented a recliner short term. The ad said $24. Per week. No one indicated that there was a minimum rental period, nothing on the contract either. I paid $108. Up front, I understood as a deposit. Everything was fine then, but, the chair ended up being very uncomfortable, so after 2 weeks I called to have them pick it up. When I asked about them returning my $50, that's when they told me there was a one month minimum and they were keeping the money. Not sure how I could have seen that coming, so I have no advice, but, try to understand ALL of their policies before renting here. They ruined my experience over $50.
Richard Schieck: Came in on Friday paid a month in advance was supposed to be delivered Monday between 11 and 2 p.m. edit 3 p.m. when we called they said they couldn't rent to us and then we can come get our money back no explanation of why they couldn't rent when the lease was already signed pay stubs were proven and cash was accepted very poor business very very poor customer service extremely disappointed

Matthew Hamblin: I have bought several items from this store. T.V. and stand. Washer and dryer. King size bedroom set. Living room set. Kids bedroom set. Went in today to look at queen size mattresses and seen they had none on display. We asked about the beds and were told that they do not display them anymore they keep them in the back. I was then asked what kind of mattress I was looking for so I replied the kind that's comfortable and that I can lay on. I was then told that I could go to the back and feel them. Honestly who buys a mattress without laying on it first to see if its comfortable? I can't tell if I like it by touching it. Anyway rent-a-center I did get the exact same bed you offer from art van pure sleep less than an hour later. It was a little more money but at least I got to try it out first. I will not be returning any more.
Alexandra Morgan: I am only giving them 2 stars because of the first transaction I had with this company was great. The second time was a disaster. I order a bedroom set that was suppose to be delivered on 1/24/19. The order didn’t get put in due to a death in one of the worker families. Which is a situation that no one could predict. What I am upset about is the fact I called the store 4 times between 12-4pm and they lied about the delivery being made that day. The worker told me that the bedroom set was on it’s way that day multiple times. The worker couldn’t comprehend that I wasn’t upset about the initial order not being set out. I was upset I was being lied to and five hours of my time was wasted. The employee I spoke to was extremely rude and needs more training. I have called to leave complaints for both the general manager and store manager. It’s sad that it has been a week and no one has contacted me. It’s shows how much they care about their customer and their company. If the hired ups can’t handle customer complaints in a timely fashion, it’s no wonder they have workers working for them that act like they don’t care about the company. It sets a example that this is okay. Upside after have to sleep on the floor because the old bed was tossed and five hours of my life wasted they did deliver my bed.

Edmond Mui: Lowes doesn't like to give returns. Paid with PayPal and was told there was an issue with my PayPal account so they can't do the return, then called PayPal and was told there was no issue with my account or their system. Lowes clearly did not want to even try to resolve the issue until after I stood there waiting on the phone with PayPal for over 15 minutes. Then magically they said they can process it all of a sudden. Also noticed they returned less than what I paid on the original transaction. Not going back to deal with that BS. Very shady and deceiving practice. Waste of my time and horrible service. Better to shop at Home Depot.Update: Called customer service because after 3 weeks my funds still were not returned after the initial issue of the return in store. After speaking to the representative basically was told nothing could be done on their end since the transaction has been processed. Even though I gave back all the merchandise in store they did not want to return the funds and were completely rude about the situation and clearly did not want to help. Lowe's is just being a straight up crook at this point. Definitely never shopping here again.
TONE CENTRAL: The staff is very courteous
Shahid Bashir: I am a frequent shopper at this location and have a Lowes Credit Card account. The staff has always been very helpful and courteous, except for today when I had to return an item which I had purchased last week. I had the misfortune to be served by Kelara, who turned out to be the most inefficient, rude and downright stupid character. She refused to take back the item saying it was not from Lowes but some other store. I tried to explain to her a number of times but she kept interrupting and rudely repeated the same reason. When I insisted that she carefully check the item number, of course it turned out to be the correct one. She quickly credited the amount and walked away without looking back and did not have the courtesy or decency to apologize. After walking out of the store, I realized that I have to talk to the Manager and bring this staff's behaviour to the management's notice. The Manager was very courteous and assured me that she would talk to the staff. I understand that there is a shortage of staff, but Lowes should ensure that they hire someone with at least a high school diploma. This person has no business dealing with customers.

Kirk Delzer: Service needed to replace the door boot (heavy rubber gasket) on the washing machine. Repair was completed in about 30-45 minutes. Technician also offered some tips for improved operation and maintenance of washing machine.Issues I had with the process; 1. First repair could not be accomplished as part (boot) that was shipped was wrong. Part number on boot and package did not match. Part had to be reordered delaying the repair by a week.(more water on the floor with each use)2. Notified that repair would occur sometime between 7am and 4pm. That really narrowed it down! Email in the morning of day of repair to expect arrival around 11am. An update then said around 1:30. Then 2pm. Got a call from tech at 1:45 to say he would be there in about 15 minutes, which was accurate. I can appreciate the difficulty in scheduling but, jeez, basically had to wait most of day at home for appointment. Could not accomplish errands in the meantime.3. Repair was expensive but, cheaper than buying new washer.4. Part was offered at Sears online for $40 less than thru the Sears repair service! I appreciate the profit motive but, a part is a part. Why the 2 tier pricing? (Plus considering the fact the wrong part was shipped initially!) I can understand the mark-up on labor.Repair is apparently successful so, onward with life.Service:Washing machine repair

I waited at home all day on three different occasions when service technicians never came, despite being assured that I was the next stop for the repair person all day long. A technician finally came on 12/15. Although the refrigerator works now, it is making a loud whiny sound like a vacuum cleaner running constantly. Per messages on Facebook messenger, as advised below by owner, I am told that the company believes that a loud high pitched refrigerator is considered "regular working noises and can sound different if repair is performed." 586 Performance: I want to thank Nadia and the store manager who worked on 5/17/2023 (Mike or Mark?) for helping get my item that I ordered online to ship to my house. The Home Depot help desk online and via phone could not resolve my issue of not receiving 1 of 2 packages. Long story short, I ordered 2 expensive items for the price of one because that’s what was available online as one order number. The only thing online support would do is provide me with a refund of the item that was delivered, which didn’t even add up to the amount I paid. Nadia and the store manager took care of me right of way and gave me the missing item and the Sterling Heights store ate the cost. I really hope online support sees this and improves their customer service. Thank you again to this store location! I have not had a bad in person experience so I will continue to be a life long customer.
Veronica Adams: Since it has been getting warmer, I have been visiting Home Depot more frequently to get my garden started. Every time I have visited, Mina has been a great help, she is really kind and pleasant to talk to.

Torre Rosul: I was returning a Milwaukee tool that I had bought for my son almost 6 months ago. The battery kept popping out of the holder. The older gentleman whose name is Michael helped me.I explained everything to him, gave him my receipt, the item and original box. He asked me if I wanted a replacement or refund. I wanted a refund so my son could pick up the newest model. Michael was so helpful and sweet that I told the manager on duty that Michael should train the new hires. I just love Home Depot.

Marshelle Dixson: I had an interview here march 31st I can’t remember the manager it was with but he was African American like me kind of heavy set , it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a “ Man” my 21 years of living ! As he interviewed me he continued to talk down to me and basically tell me that I wasn’t fit for the job at all and proceeded to tell me that when he was 19 years old he liked to party and so with me being 21 it wouldn’t be a good fit for me he also seemed very offended because I told him I worked part time at apple bees which Home Depot is part time so it shouldn’t have been a problem he told me it would work because he doesn’t like being put 2nd after I told him I would make my work schedule fit around each other very very unprofessional I will never even visit that place again

Jeremy Hogan: I dont know what I love more about home depot. The small tool selection or is it the fact that I can never find what I'm looking for. It could possibly be the fact that I can never find help and when I do they are as clueless as me. Hold up wait a minute. It's definitely the inconvenient parking set up where you enter the far right side of the store but have to leave out the far left.

They’re all gathered in the appliance department talking and on their phones. It’s disappointing. Whatever happened to “how can I help you?” “Is there anything I can help you with?” They’re complaining and customers and management.
