reymundo ontiveros: What an experience! Man do they have a huge selection of things. Live fish, breads, all things Asian. Rices, noodles cooked and raw.fresh produce lots of fungi of all sorts dry or fresh. This store had inspired me to learn Mandarin so i can understand everything more in depth! I will definitely be coming back very soon!
S g: 野菜が安い。パン美味しい。冷凍肉饅美味しい
weifeng he: 附近为数不多的中国国货,环境一般,胜在品种多样
Beverly Lindsay: I'm planning on making that a Saturday event with my family.
鄭忠禮: Food is good

China Town Market: what do users think?
MyElle Love: Love this place! Clean environment, great customer service, and everything I needed and more. Plus reasonably priced!
john brackney: Love this place, and all the items you can't find anywhere else. #1 Asian market in michigan.
Gingham Higher: OMG the cashier was so rude we were asking for help and she picked up her PERSONAL phone right in the middle of our conversation. RUDE!!
T C: Employee's are always polite and have been very helpful to me when I needed them. Prices are fair. Store is organized and clean. Great variety of items. Enjoy shopping here.
R D Olson: Nice little asian market tucked away in a small strip mall. So many asian stores just in this area you are almost guaranteed to find what you want or need.I was impressed with how much they had in stock. Granted, during the pandemic, there is a lot of merchandise they cannot get now but the shelves were stocked and neat.Service was very friendly, staff was helpful and accommodating. I look forward coming back given I'm over 240 miles away.
Thomas Johnson: Great market
Albert Speier: Excellent place to get fresh fish
Jeff Kop: Very good store me and wife and kids shopped here and excellent produce ,the cashier was nice and greeted me as well 👍
Will Williams: Specially weighed a small amount of bean sprouts for me AND cleaned and fileted walleye for me! Great service!!
Alina: They don’t know how to say hello and thank you for the clients, so rude in there
Jennifer Zhang: The older guy, maybe in his 50s at least, at fish department was terrible. I just asked him do you have live 鲫鱼?He gave me a mean look and yelled at me: don’t you see they are swimming down here? (Of course at the floor level) What a bad experience with him, no customer service manner at all. Shame on the store.
Barbara V: It was an in and out. I knew what I wanted bought it and left right out.
saswat nayak: Very very bad service ! Not once but this is the 3rd time. I bought live fish and requested to clean and cut, he just snorted at me as if he din’t even bother to understand what I said !! He pretended he does not understand english !! Seriously !!! And when I saw, the fish was just cut into 4 pieces, but nothing cleaned, fins were as such, gills were as such, and most of the scales were still there.Never going back to the store.
lyutsin21: The main reasons I shop at the Asian stores are to buy fish, unusual varieties or rice, and sometimes unusual grain-like stuff like sorghum. I bought what I think was a black pomfret here a week ago, it might have been the most blatantly delicious fish I have ever eaten. If I see produce or other appealing items at a good price I may buy them too - I once bought a pink dragonfruit here for an excellent price of 2.99 a pound. I have shopped at 168 Asian mart too. 168 has a bigger selection of fish, but the extra varieties cost more than I am willing to pay. Both stores have pomfrets, the other fish varieties vary randomly. The meat and produce selection at Chinatown market are much smaller than 168, but again the extra items at 168 cost more than I am willing to pay. The rice and unusual grain selection here looks adequate and about equal to 168 but some items were higher priced than I remember at 168, unless 168 also raised their prices, i haven't been to 168 for over 3 months, I have bought fish here once a week on average for the last 3 months or more. And I remember waiting 20 or more minutes to check out at 168, while I have never waited more than 2 minutes to check out at Chinatown market. Just bring cash here because they only let you use debit or credit if you spend over $10.
Katteh Dotz: 还可以
M A Nazir: Live fish and other fresh fishes available in this shop
Michael Godard: Not a very large selection of anything except for fish. However you can find an all around better selection elsewhere.
This is Me: Service was badThe cashier was not welcome and unpleasant
Jonathan Pan: Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! They have a wonderful display of all of their merchandise organized in aisles. I really enjoy shopping here than 168 Market since they have higher quality items here. At 168, I found a lot of the items I bought were expired. Here at China Town Market, never. Not even once.
Anastasiia Iun: Why do majority Chinese markets smell like someone died there? Is it possible to keep places smelling nicely?Just can't shop in such conditions

Bekah Galang: The perfect small asian grocery in my opinion. A little bit of everything, they have a decent selection of produce, fresh fish, fresh meat, frozen staples, and snacks of course! On the weekend, brave the busy time for the freshly prepared grab and go snacks like banh mi, coconut juice, and cassava cake.
Van-Khoi Vu: Les prix sont plus élevés qu'ailleurs.
Maelca Duncan (MAELCA): Everything’s I need is here , it’s Asian store , there vegetables are so fresh ,meat , lots of snacks it’s not big store but they have for Asian needs and spices

Mohammed uddin: Kim Nhung Superfood is a must-visit store for anyone who loves Asian cuisine. The store offers an impressive selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, and fish that are always of the highest quality. The store also has an extensive variety of Asian products that make it easy to create any Asian dish you desire at home. What I love most about Kim Nhung Superfood is their fresh produce section. The vegetables and fruits are always vibrant and fresh, making it easy to create healthy and delicious meals. Their fish section is also impressive, offering a variety of fresh fish that are perfect for sushi or any other fish dish.In addition to the fresh produce and fish, Kim Nhung Superfood has an excellent selection of Asian products. They have everything from sauces to spices, noodles to rice, and everything in between. Whether you're looking for ingredients to make a Japanese ramen or a Korean bibimbap, you're sure to find everything you need at Kim Nhung Superfood. The staff at Kim Nhung Superfood are also knowledgeable and friendly, always willing to help you find what you're looking for. They are also quick to offer suggestions and recommendations based on your preferences, making it easy to try new products and flavors.Overall, I highly recommend Kim Nhung Superfood to anyone who loves Asian cuisine. Their selection of fresh produce, fish, and Asian products is impressive, and their knowledgeable staff makes it easy to find what you need.
Larry L: Kim Nhung has fresh vegetables and roots that you cannot find from big box supermarkets.
MsMoua01: The store is small and narrow in aisles sections, but they have almost everything you need here. I definitely recommend people to shop here.
Danalyn Gabgan: I will edit my rating later on, i am a regular costumer! I love this place because i tound food if my country. But i give 1 star for now because i bought a waste of money pork belly! This is my favorite place to buy pork with fat. Twice a month! But at this time the pork belly meats i bought is not good! Please make sure that your meats is good! Your pork belly meat this time is from BORE pigs! The meats smell so bad when you cook it! And i am not eating a meats from bore pigs so I thrown it!
M Herr: Always a nice variety and their staff is always friendly and welcoming. Wish the place was bigger though.
Lily Lee: Quite alot of items for this tiny grocery store hidden in the corner of the plaza. I've been coming here off and on over the years, when I'm in town. Definitely carries all your basics for the pantry, produce, meat and some seafood. Plus, they have limited Vietnamese food on the shelves in front, like the sticky rice with pork and mung beans in the photo. Yum!!! 😋
Dustin Vanderburg: Amazing selection of vegan meats and fresh fruits and vegetables. I love going here to stock up for my restaurant.
Ngân Huỳnh: Good stuff, but overcharging all the time
la india maria: Good
Tuan Pham: Charged periwinkle $16.36 two times and Banh Bao Tuoi Cali (fresh meat bun) $15.99 two time. Be careful when you shop here. Specifically when you buy a lot of items, make sure you check it before leaving the store. We were half way back to Cleveland, when I checked the receipt. We’re not coming back.
Donald Xiong: Buy all my Asian products from here.
KD Dudley: I found a few key ingredients I needed. It was nice to find a local shop. I didn’t want to have to order online. Great prices too.

Asian Bazaar: what do users think?
Neena R: Friendly employee. Always find my favorite ramen here. Place is a little small and hard to get around inside
Mazhar Khan: My favorite place for shopping grocery, chicken and meat.
J Kay: Pretty sloppy, very tight walkways not really aisles, dirty looking store. I've been here three times for spices and not once has there been much of a smile on the employees face much less a hello. For as many employees/people I see inside place should be cleaner.
Shah Ali: Great friendly staff and owners. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Clean facility.
Rick D: Wrong name on the front of the store
Morshed Hasan: Most of the products don’t have price tags so can’t track the prices. They over charged me.
John Renaud: Most of the merchandise is junk. Not worth the dollar or $2 each item is priced.
Faiz Miah: tomuch prise everything,,
Ehsan Uddin (Ali): Usually they are wonderful with great service, but this time, they were not. They practically forced me to buy this fish "Rupchanda" which came out to be one of the worst fish I ever bought. It was frozen so I didn't realize it was bad until I got home. Did not like the forceful attitude and the bad product. However, I will shop here more in the future because of the convenience of distance from my home.
Green Mountain: People be careful at this store. Cashier charging extra when you cash out.
Zam Zam: Young cashier tried to take extra $1.84 from me. Beware customers.
Nazir Ahmed: Good choice of items
Sahed Rashid: Good! But need more collections.
Delwar Hussain: Very good service and good working experience
Musammat Chowdhury: Nice
Syed Uddin: I shop today and see they charge high price.. They stealing money but people don’t realise because most people use Food Stamp.. Wake up people and when they scan your products please check the cashier screen..my product is $2.99 and he put $3.99?🤦‍♂️

Bay of Bengal Homecare service: All kind of desh I food
Mohammad M Rahman: Small but customer friendly grocery shop. You can find halal meat there. Also they have WIC products.
Shabbir Ahmed: Good Service
Brent Wiertalla: Small place but a lot of Indian food to choose from.

Han Mi Asian Mart: what do users think?
Miranda (sadMiranda): Great market to get your typical Asian cooking ingredients! We went to a couple shops beforehand to see if we could get any of those ingredients but the brands we like weren't available anywhere but here. Cashier is always friendly too.
Jill S.: Very clean, well organized and amazing selection at good prices. I'll definitely be back
David H: This is a small store but has wonderful home made side dishes.
Abhilash Bingi: Kinda expensive compared to other Asian stores
T Tn: The owner supper friendly, very convenience Korean market.
Nicole Bernacik: This is my favorite Asian grocery store and I’ve been going here for years! The store is very clean and organized. I like that they always have a rotation of different snacks to try and the prices are good. They have delicious kimbap but you have to go early before it sells out. The workers are very nice too.
Aimee Cruz: Clean & organized. Assortment of Asian goods. Helpful staff. Will recommend.
Stephen Goodman: Red beans (adzukis), mung beans, black sesame seeds, staples in my diet. All reasonably priced. The store is clean. Workers eager to help. Overall a very positive experience. Thankful there's such a store in our community.
Michael purplerose: Brings back lots of fond memories of being a smol Asian kid in a supermarket.
DD &D: They have lots of stuff but some of the items extremely expensive for no reason

Jeff Poulton: Great 👍
Cade: Very well stocked with the items I was looking for, as well as a very kind environment!
Lee Dongwoo: 생각보다 넓고 깨끗함.
Nickolena Topping: I'd drive an hour away to stock up on Korean/ Asian spices, sauces, noodles, melon ice cream bars, any frozen seafood you need. Potstickers, eggrolls, kimshe, seaweed and more. Many thanks to lenders who keep the store clean and well stocked.
Selina Li: Huge variety of foods/drinks. Perfect place to shop for groceries

nali kwon: 냉동 차돌👍👍

Christina K: Incredibly clean store with a nice variety of products. Even though most product labels are obviously not in English, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful - if you ask, they're more than happy to not only explain items, but offer great recommendations. Also, the fresh gimbap is 10/10 absolute crack, so make sure to go early in the day before it sells out.
Kimberly McCarty: This store has good prices and a nice range of products from food to beauty face masks. It's one of mine and my daughter's favorite places to go.

Mid 7 Asian Market: what do users think?
Mary T: This is a really great store for Philippine goods. We have found so many awesome products here. Definitely plan to go back and get some nice dried mushrooms. Got our friend a nice big ube roll for her birthday and she was thrilled with it.
Darlene Rivers: We love this store , so many different things to offer !!
Dan Simpson: This is the only place I've found locally to Livonia that stocks good egg roll wraps. Kroger, Meijer's, Wal Mart forget them, they don't have anything on this place for specialty goods. Things are reasonably price, you won't be breaking the bank coming here and the staff are super friendly. Reminds me of the corner grocery stores that existed when I was young but have since all but disappeared.
Mike Siegwald: Have the stuff you’re looking for likely. Good to have in town ;)
Greg Palmateer: Good selection of items. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will be returning.
Maria: Great place to grocery shop! We enjoyed shopping filipino products in this clean, organized, and friendly store.
Nibor Lofton: Friendly polite staff. Very well stocked market.
Trite Observations: If you need Filipino groceries, this is an especially good place to check out. Reasonable prices, a decent selection for the size of the store and very helpful people working there.
Tony: they got what u need. not alot of fresh veggies, but they got everything else
mark anglin: Good spot to pick up spicy noodles 🍜
Michelle Yelda: A great spot for hard-to-find Asian foods and goods! Everything is well stocked and reasonably priced.
Kristen M: Small, yet PACKED with goodies! Dumpling wraps here as well as the Kimchi I HIGHLY recommend!! So many good treats, spices, etc and great prices.
rick belanger: Fully stocked and close by.
norman kosinski: Checked out the Mid 7 Asian Market in Livonia today. It was a great experience! It was our first trip. They had an amazing selection! We picked up several new things to try. Lady was so nice and recommended a Filipino ice cream to try on our next visit. Lots of flavors. I cannot wait to go again. The teriyaki squid and Yummy Flakes shrimp flavor are what we have tried so far. We enjoyed both! Place was super neat and clean!
Jonathan Erno: The asian market that is close to me. They have a variety of goods to choose from. And like it that they have a lot of Filipino goods. The lady that manages and his husband is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Moosey McFly: This was my first time getting to visit this store and I was pleasantly surprised! It looks like a smaller shop from the outside, but there were so many selections of snacks and ingredients inside. I'll definitely be visiting again to get some ingredients that are difficult to find elsewhere :)
Robert Stempkowski: I've been spoiled, I guess, by Lee Lee in West Phoenix. Greatest. Asian market. Ever. Before I made my first visit this morning, I tried to temper my expectations. Walked into what looked more like a 7-Eleven. When I looked a little closer, though, I found a few things for tonight's Pho. If you're looking for fresh, Pacific Rim, produce, forget it. The pickins' are slim in that department at Mid 7. instead of fresh Enoki (straw) Mushrooms, I had to settle for dried Shitake. I was also hoping to find some fresh, whole fish/shellfish on ice. Alas, it's all boxed, bagged and frozen. But I did pick up some bean paste vermicelli, rice flour noodles, and lo mein, and all at nice prices. And I saw good assortments of shrimp-salty Asian snacks, classic Indochine confections, and all manner of packaged, Dim Sum-style delectables. While Mid 7 Asian Market falls short of something you might expect to see lining metropolitan, Chinatown streets, at least it offers a little something along those lines. If you're planning on fixing a multi-course, Asian-style feast, you may not find every foodstuff on your list there. More likely, just the staples, sides, and sauces. And fortune cookies filled with your lucky lottery numbers.
E Grace: I went because I was looking for lemon grass. They had a very large packet which I only needed a small amount… I prefer fresh over frozen and I prefer the stalks over it being pre-sliced - but this was closer to my house than my usual market - Very clean and well maintained, organized- Nice selection of Filipino items 🙌🏻 They have a large selection of lumpia’s ( yum) I just recently found good Filipino recipes on YouTube and look forward to making them- they also carry several other Asian goods- their prices are a bit higher than the market that I go to in Farmington but if I’m in a pinch, this is closer to home-
Jey Ann Larkins: Love this place, finally found Filipino store near me and also found new Filipino friends. They have everything I need. And Ate Ina(owner) is super nice too.
Anne Taylor: Friendly and welcoming. Have a variety of goods that cannot be found elsewhere. A must for Filipino cooking needs. They keep a clean store.
Bomms Yellow: Just Awesome

Oriental Grocery Mart: what do users think?
Henry Won: Their Kimbap is very good. Good balance of saltiness and a hint of sweetness. The texture of the rice is very good, too.It has generous coat of aromatic Chamgileum (sesame oil). This store is famous of its catering.
Astrid Billings (Astrid): Genuinely one of the sweetest interactions I've had, has amazing homemade on the spot meals, definitely a hidden jem!
Tahjuanna Jones: Super good kimchi! And super friendly people!
song lacoste: Best home made korean food ever
Protection Security: Best food ever
정라라: 사장님도 좋으시고 음식들도 신선하고 매우 맛있습니다
nam: Jungwon of Enhypen
M Morrissey: Love this place! Owners are very kind and everything she makes is amazing! So delicious!
Joanne Yihan: This is not a typical grocery store where you can get a cart full of produce. The main business of JoongWon is to make food. There are ready made food (kimbap, multiple kimchi, grilled fish, assorted banchan dishes, marinated meat such as bulgogi etc) to choose everyday. Many Koreans order catering food for social gathering. Order food that you like, she will make it, and you pick up. Her food is very very good. Also do not forget that she also has several frozen tteok (Korean rice cake).
Jessica Smith: Great kimbap rolls and very good customer service. Would definitely order here again. They are very reasonably priced and friendly when you order.
Bree Rising: Such a sweet woman in the front! Great food also!
Kiarra Robbins: the best kimchi ever!! owners are so friendly, also amazing kimbap, I always crave it :)
Chad Rankin: Great store, kind cashier, but they're definitely lacking in asian foods. It's like an expanded version of the international section of Kroger. Gave it 3 stars due to unusually high prices and the general awkwardness of it all.
Raymond Choate: By far one of my favorite places. Super accommodating willing to make food for you on the spot.
Raymond Lee Choate JR: I love this place. It seems like no matter how long i am gone i am never forgotten. And she makes the best kimbap whenever you ask for it.
LoSu Stubbs: The Chinese restaurant 2 doors down:Good food. Polite.
Patric Bernardo: Very helpful staff.
r v: One of my favorite stores already. The owner is friendly and helpful and the bibimbap she makes is amazing!!!
Richard Park: Best Korean food and kimchi in michigan!!! Also the owners are the kindest people.
Chuck Koontz: Great products: sushi rice, imitation crab, pickled diakon, nuri in 100 sheet packs all at prices better than H Mart and of at least equal quality or better. Using my purchases there I was ble to produce a tasty and very well received sushi.
Chris Harding: I'm pretty sure the metal pots with random food in them is some sort of health violation in a store. The refrigerated section has about 3-4 doors of products then the last few are full of what looks to be opened food or something raw inside kitchen pots. This worried me a little and deterred me from purchasing anything within them as they were all connected.Staff was very pleasant but the store is a mess. They have an office set up in the middle of the refrigerated isle blocking a pathway. With some man behind it doing paperwork. I only came here for won ton wraps.2 stars because the staff was nice and helpful, 1 star for the store setup and cleanliness.

Saigon Market: what do users think?
Qui Nguyen: I go here for $5 banh mi
Wendy Ocelot: Great real Vietnamese sandwich. We go here every time we are in the area. Great grocery market too. Yummy
MsMoua01: This is my go to Asian grocery store. Despite being a small store, they have quite a lot stuff at a reasonable price, but they don’t have a lot of choices for meat and vegetables. Whatever I can’t find I’ll go to Kim Nhung. They have a small deli inside the store where they make Vietnamese sandwich (banh mi) and other snacks. They recently tear down the wall from next door and expanded bigger for their rice products. Parking is small and sits right in front of the main road of John R. Friendly owners and employees. One awesome thing is that you get a free 50 pound bag of rice everytime you spend over $36. They will stamp it and you collect your stamped receipt with a retail total of $300.
Alp Paul: Great produce and even better prices!
Vegan in the Hood: One of my go to spots for vegan meats and drinks. I love this place.
Sally: The best local Vietnamese market. They have the best bánh mì for sale in the area too. You can’t get more authentic than here.
Ruth Wong: Classic small Asian market. Great bahn mi Vietnamese sandwiches! Be sure to order some!
Ken Nguyen: They have a lot vietnamese food
John Nevin: Amazing banh mi sandwiches, especially the chicken! Great selection of Asian produce.
Michael Miles: Amazing
Alice: Staff is rude. I will not be likely to be back
Lovely Endearment: Market is small but they always have what I need, so I can't complain. Good prices as well.
Ashley Chang: Best place for Bahn mi's and other Vietnamese delights on the weekends!
Harry Grongstad: Got some great curry pastes here. They have what you need to cook good Thai and Asian dishes
Harris Wilson: Excellent selection.
Testhna Seven: Manora fried Crab Chips here. They are the only place that has them, all the other asian marts don't carry / sold out. Thank god I went here on a whim and they have them!
Cyril Wolbert: Great Asian food selection.
Colleen Diehl: Beautiful little market. Amazing Behn mi, huge selection of all sorts of ingredients. You'd never guess how much stuff they pack into the store from the outside. Great prices too.
Jurgen Juziuk: Been a long time, satisfied customer here. We always find a variety of good products and then order some banh mi to go.
Mz.Sugarplum Plum: Great variety of ramen noodles

Hankuk Oriental Market & Restaurant [KOREAN]: what do users think?
Forrest Boyles: Only gave a1 star because there was no option for zero... customer service is the worse I've seen in years.. not the same as the original owners. Will not be back
Mae Winters: Best Asian market around! What are you looking for? They've got it! Kimchi is fresh and delicious 3 times a week!
Gursharan Kaur: First time trying Korean food and I absolutely loved it. Everything was delicious! It's a small Korean grocery store and a diner..customer service was good and prices were good.
Julie Prentice: Went for food and groceries today. Coming from 20 years in Los Angeles this place is legit! The owner was so amazing and the food as well. The items they had to purchase were overwhelming (in a great way!). I’d you like Boba they have so much! They have been in business 33 years! Will definitely be a regular! I was so hungry I didn’t take a pictureof our food! Picture of grocery items: we bought ramen, fumikake, ponzu and some sriracha! Was there really a sriracha shortage because we haven’t seen it for MONTHS! Food wise all were amazing. We had pork bulgogi, kimchi fried rice and a sushi to start! Korean condiments for the win!!
tightfitrightfit: It had a great variety of food but there was a horrible smell from a dirty mop they had at the back counter. It was so bad that I couldn’t stay to shop.
Charlene Lewis: Food is out of the world gooooood.!!!!!
Lee Satterfield: Good food and market
Thomas Dorcy: The food was amazing and picked up some snacks from the store!
Philip Conner: WOW! Hankuk Oriental Market & Restaurant is the place to go!Amazingly friendly staff!Great variety of items to shop!- Delicious food! - It’s tastes like a perfect home cooked meal every time!!!I will keep coming back. ;) Very well recommended.
Ang G: Only Oriental Market on this side of town. Large selection of moderately priced hard to find items. I've never tried the restaurant but it seems like you would have to be very familiar with the cuisine. Service on the store side assumes you know wth you're there for and there can be a language barrier if not. However, the staff here is very pleasant. So, look up what you need and be prepared to search for an alternative. There's a large freezer/fridge selection too.Edit 8/7/2022: I went back today and I think a lot has changed in the store. Minimal, expensive food ingredients. Carry out was available so I ordered ramen and a pancake. I am certain she overcharged me on at least 3 items. I asked specifically and was told a different price than what was posted. I didn't feel like arguing about it and needed the things. The place didn't look well kept. The pancake and ramen were ok. Overall, I wouldn't return and I would drive to the west side for a better experience.
John Marlow: Neighborhood fave
Eva Lemons: Nice Orientals store.. family friend. Enjoyed Service given by Staff... I left Smiling
Hugrf Flurf: Yummy food. Cute little market. Very friendly people, too. Love this place. :)
Hatchet Mobile: I get the stir fried octopus every time I come here and a new drink or snack Ive never tried. Always fantastic!
Christopher: Place got new ownership a few years back. All the prices increased, the kimchee isn't as good and the portions at their restaurant are very small/expensive. Miss the old owners.
Alyvia Johnson: I love the customer service and the food is really good, if your looking for super traditional Korean food this may not be the place for you but if your trying Korean food for the first time or you just want that Korean taste, this place is a great start. Also if you want to learn to make dishes for yourself the cashier/owner is very helpful. I love to try new snacks and treats, I also love to get a homemade container of kimchi as well which is soo delicious. They are very nice people and super helpful.
Lindsey Parton: Kim chi fried rice is fantastic! Owner is very helpful. They've been open over 30 years and offer many homemade items! Truly a gem in Macomb county!
C D: Amazing food, and kind people
Sandra Bell: Love this place I always come here for my Asian items that I love owner's daughter is very nice and helpful. I do wish they'd update their freezers though I think they're getting a little old
Joel Hacker: I'm disappointed that I have to rate this place as poorly as I am, and its strictly on its quality as a restaurant, not on its quality as a little neighborhood market. In fact, the friendliness of the couple that runs it and its quality as a small neighborhood Asian market are the only things saving it from 1 star. I can only assume that due to the relatively small Korean population in this area the majority of reviewers simply don't know better.Having recently moved back an area heavily populated by Koreans, I can tell you that not only is this food not good, it's not even what they're calling it on the menu. Our Bulgogi was sitting in a pool of light brown liquid closer to broth than sauce. Bulbgogi should have almost no excess sauce, most of adhering to the meat, and it should be dark in color. It should also have a subtle sweetness and a subtle spiciness, both of which were entirely lacking here. There also appeared to be an entire yellow onion sliced and cooked in, whereas true bulgogi should have fresh green onion/chive instead. It was also entirely lacking the sesame seed it should have had. The meat was not the normal cuts or consistency for bulgogi, was somewhere between shaved and ground? It also definitely had the texture of being cooked, then frozen, then reheated for service?I'm not entirely sure if the bibimbap was completely wrong or if they forgot part of my order. Typically, the rice, beef (similar to bulgogi), and vegetable are all cooked together in an extremely hot container and when possible either finished in a hot stone bowl or quickly broiled to simulate it then the egg dropped on top. What I recieved contained literally a single bite of meat, none of the cooked vegetables, the rice was separate and just steamed, and the egg was plopped on top of what appeared to be mostly raw/pickled Korean sides and some Kimchi? Those sides when served to go are typically packed separately, so it's possible they just forgot part of my order.Regardless, the food was of unacceptably low quality even for americanized Korean food, and was definitely not the korean dishes it purported to be. Avoid it and just pick up dry staples.
Jessica Mobley: Horrible I typically do food vlogs and we do Korean food once a week I visited this place because of the reviews I ordered oxtail soup when I received it it wasn't oxtail soup at all it was some kind of weird shaved beef when I inquired about it I was told that in Korea oxtail soup doesnt use oxtails. I was a little offended because I feel like because I'm a woman of color she assumed I wouldn't know the difference and then to tell me that as an explanation when I have frequently visited Korea is also offensive. Because you can't help but to think she must assume that I have no clue. I will be posting a video on my blog Showing exactly what I received. I will not be going back I wish I would have received the customer service as well as the experience some of the other people have but I did not.
