SE Sacks: I made a call to Jon just based on a simple Google search.Jon was on the phone with me for at least 15 minutes hearing out my entire problem with my security system installed by another company 3 years ago.Jon said the would stop by my house the next day and would take a quick look. We both determined that the existing system was not viable. He came up with new equipment package that was very reasonable and was able to get it shipped to him overnight as we had a deadline due to pending vacation.Jon installed the equipment today and made certain everything worked properly and explained all aspects of managing the system in terms that were easily understandable.Jon pricing was more than competitive. If you add that with his kindness and the great person he is it is like a huge bonus.I 110% would recommend him to anyone who wants their A/V projects addressed by a consummate professional.

He did really, really nice work mounting a TV on a plaster wall with hidden studs over a fireplace. Appears flawless. Price was more than reasonable. I can highly recommend his work.

Martin Billin: I called John in the morning and he immediately picked up my call. We arranged for him to come over later that day to look at my home theater connectivity issues.After a lot of testing he diagnosed that the issue was with my download speed and my modem. He sat with me while we talked to the Internet Provider. He knew the right questions to ask and negotiated to upgrade my service for no extra cost and replace the modem.The Internet Provider (WOW) was very helpful and increased the upload and download rate while we were waiting. After this, the system worked great. John also provided suggestions on how to further improve the performance.Without John, I would still be stuck in the dark ages.John has paid his dues. He is now branching out on his own.He should be the first person to call if you have home theater installation/connectivity issues, he doesn't give up and does a great job.
Katherine Weiss: Jonathan helped us out recently by mounting a TV over our fireplace. He did a great job, cleaned up and was reasonably priced. He was also very friendly and explained exactly what he was doing and why. We will definitely use Jonathan again!
Laura Land: We hired Jonathan to install a TV over our cultured stone fireplace. We didn't think it was possible, but Jonathan did it! Amazing job and no wires to be seen. In addition to the install, he took the time to do the TV shopping for us and found a great deal on a Sony available at Best Buy. This extra above and beyond service saved us a ton of time and money. We were so pleased with his work that we had him back to hook up our 20 year old surround system. He never pressured us to purchase a new system, assured us the old one would work just fine. It is up and running and sounds amazing. Jonathan is very responsive, timely and reasonably priced. We are having him come back next spring to install new outdoor lighting. Thanks Jonathan :). Kacety: Hearing consultants has been a life changing experience.I went in for my first apt, got my test, same results as my previous. I bonded well with my handler and she was very detailed with me about the process. What she wants to do for me and got me underway for approval from the state for funding for the best hearing aids for my condition. Knowing there is much better technology out there now that can help me thrive and raise my daughter with ease is such a relief. Christina Leigh: was quoted for an hour and a half to wall mount my 80” tv. they did it in an hour! charges were changed to reflect the time and it was much cheaper than anticipated. they didn’t try to upsell anything, they just asked if i wanted wires hidden or strips. i said i would buy the strips and do it myself and they didn’t try to convince me otherwise. no pressure sales. the guys were on time, cleaned up after themselves, wore booties, and even hauled my giant tv box out next to my garage for me. (not to mention one of them smelled really good ;) tv is perfectly centered on the wall, and the height is perfect too. hanging tvs is what they do and they do it well! thank you! 5 stars, the reviews are legit.

I am in no better position than I was. Spent money for nothing. Certain items from prior system stopped working with Texh Automation. When I complained Sean referenced the proposal which was vague again, but verbally promised the job would be done. When I complained, either they said it was never discussed or it’s not on the proposal. Waste of money spent!

I researched Control4 vendors in the Rochester area and after speaking to a few firms I chose Sean and the team at Tech Automation. I had worked with other Control4 vendors on projects at previous residences and appreciated Sean’s knowledge and candor around what would be right for this house. Sean was open to working on the project in a modular fashion and spent time presenting me with options on shades, lighting and entertainment.From the beginning, the team approached the project in a thoughtful manner prioritizing tasks appropriately in order to provide network access on my first day in the newly constructed residence. From there they coordinated with my internet and cable provider to get everything set up and the TVs hung. To date they have managed the process including the challenges from a constrained supply chain in an open and efficient manner keeping me apprised of any unanticipated delays.I would be remiss without a shout out to Sebastian who has consistently approached and managed each task in a can do manner. His attention to detail and product and installation knowledge are second to no one. I am looking forward a continuing relationship with Tech Automation as we finish up phase one and move forward to new projects.
