lynne miller: Bought for my son and it took 6 months to get an appointment ...I confirmed the appt 2 days before the flight and the pilot was a NO SHOW!! Waited over an hour and another group was waiting also, no call no show!! Warning purchased from Groupon!! PS The airport manager said the pilot was a no show the prior week also!!! Beware

Asha Shajahan: No show pilot. I waited 20 min and the instructor didn't show. Nobody called to inform me. I called the office nobody answered. The person working at the airport informed me the pilot is a commercial pilot and he rarely shows up for his scheduled lessons. I waited 2 months for this lesson. Terrible customer service. No courtesy for people's time or money. Do not purchase. You will be disappointed.

Stacy Bartmess: Bough this for my husband. He scheduled flight, waiting at airport for an hour and a half. This guy was a no show. No one can get ahold of him. He “redeemed” the voucher from Groupon the day before the flight, so money/rescheduling can’t be made 😡

annie cardinale: got my ppl here. my cfi was really awesome, unfortunately not there anymore. the other cfis were really kind though. would recommend to anyone, even just for a discovery flight.

Steve Hewitt: Very organized and thorough flight school. A little more expensive than some others but I believe you get what you pay for, do you really want to go cheap when you go thousands of feet up in air.

daysha springer: I'm not sure if the staff at this place knows what customer service is. My daughter first went inside to take her test. She was inside for about 15 minutes came out and said they wouldn't accept her certificate from the #1 Aeronautical University in the country. Upon talking to her I found out one the employees completely ignored her when she first walked in and that the lady at the front desk was rude when talking to her. So I myself went inside. There was two ladies at the front desk one sitting and the other standing. No one greeted me or even acknowledge me. So I said hello first neither of them said hello back. I went on to ask why they wouldn't accept my daughter's certificate and the lady at the front desk basically said she wasn't going to take it because she didn't want to, and that my daughter would need a letter from her instructor. I questioned that and did my daughter has everything you are asking for in the email. I was then informed that the company didn't send the email and it was her discretion who could test. I'm not saying it felt racist but I'll just leave it at she made it clear that our kind wasn't welcomed there. So I definitely would not recommend this place. They really made my daughter feel like she wasn't good enough to be there.

Could not have asked for a more friendly, knowledgeable, and caring staff to help you learn and improve. I only got ~20 hours of instruction from DCT while I was living nearby for the summer but WOW was it beneficial. From the moment you step through the front door to the moment you leave, you receive nothing but the upmost quality from every employee that you encounter. All of the aircraft is meticulously maintained and in excellent condition and the instructors walk the delicate tightrope of leaving the training wheels on and just throwing you to the wolves. Each lesson left me excited, confident, and educated. I could seriously go on and on about this place.Shoutout to Seth Lula by the way, that dude really knows his stuff and was a phenomenal instructor. HIGHLY recommend! Was super kind, knowledgeable, and had great communication skills. I always knew what the goals were and the importance of each task/maneuver that we were performing. Dude is killing it.Also shoutout to Emily Shrader! She is an excellent instructor and when she's working the front desk, you couldn't ask for a more warm and friendly welcome. Total firecracker.I could write an entire thesis on this place but I am starting to sound like a broken record. Moral of the story is this. DCT has everything you need + more to complete whatever flights goals that you may have and I can guarantee that you will have an absolute blast and meet some amazing folks in the process. Godspeed.

My Wife and Daughter had never flown in a single engine plane before and really enjoyed it. Aaron took us up to the area we live in so we could get pics of our house and other landmarks. Would definitely recommend.

My instructor was great, and all of the other instructors, as well as the owner are VERY welcoming and supportive. I completed my Private Pilot Certificate on January 25, 2021, and I don’t think I could have done it anywhere else.They make sure you are well prepared to take your checkride so you can be successful. I am starting my instrument rating right away, and I am excited to continue my journey at this amazing flight school. All the 5 star reviews are from real students, and all of them are true! Emily Shrader: I have been a student at DCT Aviation for the entirety of my flight training through the Liberty University flight affiliate program, and the training there is truly unmatched. The instructors are all friendly and knowledgeable, there is a wide range of aircraft that make maintenance issues easy to work around, and the facility is state of the art. It is also located at Oakland County International Airport, which is the second busiest airport in the state of Michigan. Being so, students who train at DCT are well equipped and trained to operate their aircraft under a quick paced environment with many other airplanes in the vicinity; setting them up nicely for careers in aviation if they choose to do so. I am so happy I decided on DCT for my flight training, and will always recommend it to anyone looking to fly in the Metro-Detroit area!
