It was my grandson’s birthday so I wanted it surprise him with a sandwich that he loves using bagels. They were aweful. The bagels were so hard and dry that I was going to revert to purchasing Thomas’ bagels at the local grocery store. So disappointed.

Annie Savka: Woman working was making peoples sandwiches while using the same gloves she used to handle money/the register. I asked her to please change her gloves. She put 1 plastic glove on top of her dirty glove (left the other hand the same) and then proceeded to use that glove anyways to handle the register before finishing assembling the sandwich. Common sense is not being used here. Also, a lot of the ingredients are microwaved anyways so I would take my business elsewhere
Katie Novak: I’ve heard good things about Elaine’s and I am all about supporting a local business. However, the young woman behind the counter was extremely rude- was on her cell phone the entire time I was in this establishment and quick to cash me out when in fact I was interested in purchasing another item- which was not labeled so I had to ask the flavors, which clearly was an inconvenience for her to stop her conversation again.Not happy. Learn good customer service, please.My first time here and I’m definitely not in a rush to go back.

Haaris Malik: Once upon a time I was up at 6am for some odd reason and I thought to myself, “I could really have some of my moms pancakes right now” but my mom wasn’t up yet so I packed my bags and set off on an adventure to find some breakfast. I went store to store lookin for something to satisfy my needs. I was starving. After countless hours it was 6:30am and I saw a trail of sesame seeds. I thought I was hallucinating but as I followed the trail it turned into an everything bagel seasoning trail. The trail brought me to a bagel store(elaines bagels). When I walked into the store I stood in line waiting to give them my order. The wait wasn’t too long, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and before I knew it it was ready. This oddly short woman(her name was Brooklyn) handed me my bagel. It was the best bagel handoff I have ever seen in my entire life I would like to give a huge shoutout to Brooklyn for the amazing Bagel service 10/10 would take a bagel from Brooklyn again.💯💯

Brian Jefferies: Their bagels are soft and tasty. When ordering toasted with one of their yummy flavored cream cheeses, be sure to pull apart and eat as two halves. Double the flavor and double the enjoyment.

Not going back here.

I ordered two signature breakfast sandwiches and 2 cheesy hashbrowns. After taking a bite out of my sandwich I noticed the color green on the egg. Opened up the sandwich pulled the layers apart and sure enough there was mold all over the egg!! Felt like I was going to vomit. My husband checked out his sandwich because he saw mine and his was the same way! Only thing we ate were the cheesy hashbrowns. When you spend almost $10 on a single sandwich you expect quality not trash. Waste of money.

Rosy Hobson: I randomly discovered this place in my neighborhood 1 week ago, and I've already been back 3 times. A large variety of bagels to choose from, and they're so yummy and FRESH! They make their own cream cheese, and they're very rich in flavor and texture. The staff is friendly and they greet everyone. This place gets quite busy on Saturdays; weekday mornings are a little bit slower (in my experience).My favorite so far is the Chipotle Turkey Club on a Cinnamon Rasin Bagel! Try them, your entire family will thank you. I promise.Note: The parking and entrance is located away from the street on the opposite side of Harper Ave.

Carolyn Suttles: We ordered catering, and they will be my new go-to for bagels! Everything was so fresh and delicious - bagels, cream cheeses, fruit. As soon as you popped open the trays, you could smell how fresh everything was and the bagels are pretty perfect, even untoasted. The fruit was some of the freshest fruit I've ever received in a fruit tray. I love supporting a family-owned business, and the owner's son delivered our food - he was perfectly on time and friendly. Looking forward to when we can order again!
Jontan Butcher: The only complaint I have is that they are pretty much closed one hour before closing times given. They close down half of their kitchen before closing time. Don't plan on having fresh orange juice or coffee in that timeframe. I use to work in a kitchen years back and we had everything available to anybody that would even walk in 5 minutes before close, and closing chores took place after doors locked. Other than that, this place is GREAT!

BIG GUY for hire Moving Labor Services: This was my first time ordering from this bagel place. The total was almost $30 and I got two sandwiches and a bagel with cream cheese. I requested my lox sandwich be twice toasted and they didn't even toast it. The sandwiches were about 3 oz each which is pitiful for a sandwich that's about $10. The Bagel was okay and the cream cheese was pretty good but there wasn't a long line or anything. The sandwich makers were not just swamped. If they can't be awake enough to pay attention to a request like toasting in a bagel shop then they don't deserve my business. Also if I'm buying a bagel sandwich I don't need over half the weight to be bagel chips I already bought a bagel. I wanted to like it because I really had a hankering for some good bagels but I got ripped off. I can think of several other bagel places that do it right and I regret not going to those places.
