noel flores: This place has a great selection of bait and tackle, however they lack in customer service. I’ve bought a few rods from them before and decided it was a pretty good place, 2 days ago I decided to buy a Shimano zodias rod from them. After buying it I realized that not only was I over charged but their prices are actually quite higher than other shops I’ve seen it at. The tag was removed but the rod obviously still brand new i tried to return it. They told me due to the plastic that is around the tag not being the original one they won’t return it. Honestly I don’t know how u can have a return policy if the return policy relies on the owners mood. That being said if u are looking the purchase tack of bait this or a great place if you’re looking to buy gear I would suggest going somewhere with real customer service

K A: I understand there may be a policy to have poles dropped for spooling but when staff is just sitting there doing nothing it would be a good customer service to maybe say you know what i can do that for you. Also stating they’re super busy super busy, doesn’t mean anything if you’re sitting there doing nothing to begin with. And when there’s literally no other customer there I doubt ‘all customers are going to start expecting the same’. It matters when staff is willing to help.

Edward Spicker: When your looking for a great place to stay when you are chasing monster smallmouth, walleye, perch or big muskies, this is the only place to stay. Where else do you have a secure and friendly atmosphere. Vicky, Sue and Chris treat you like family. The facilities are deceiving. Every time I have stayed here, I meet friendly people staying here or just stopping to get fishing supplies. Some may think it is expensive, however a hotel is just 4 walls and a bath room. At Anglers Point you get a home for your stay. We stayed for our anniversary. My wife is not a fisher person, and she really enjoyed meeting new people while sitting out on the store patio. We even had a fine wine, cheese, and crackers out on the patio one evening while enjoying the weather and lake view. So if you're planning a trip, we highly recommend you consider Anglers Point Marina for your stay. You will be another member of their family. Hats off to the staff. You will not regret your decision to stay here.

Jim: After staying in hotels and a few VRBOs over the years, we gave Anglers Point a call and from the fist interaction with Vicki I knew this is the place to be every time we come up to fish! She was extremely helpful with everything, offered any help that we would need while we were there at any time and our stay was outstanding! If you need a place to stay for your fishing trip with clean and roomy lofts, easy parking and place to plug your boat in and easy access to a ramp with awesome customer service, absolutely give them a call!

Dan Luongo: I went in Anglers Bait Shop on the 16th to purchase 2 out of state licenses for the 18th.Handed my daughters and my license to the gentleman behind the desk and stated that they were to be issued for the 18th.The transaction was passed to the woman also behind counter.After we were issued licenses and paid, it was noticed that she had put wrong date on license (16th).When brought to woman’s attention she refused to correct issue. Stating that there was nothing she could do once transaction action goes through.You would think that a woman who runs a bait store would have the knowledge of Michigan fishing rules.I contacted the Michigan DNR and was informed that she had the ability to void transaction and reissue correct one.I understand that it was only $20. The point is that this woman had very poor customer service skills, very unknowledgeable of DNR rules or was just to lazy to correct her mistake.Wish I could of posted no stars.A follow up to the issue I had at Anglers Point Bait Shop.I was contacted by a gentleman (Chris) from the store. He was very apologetic for the misunderstanding and issued refund for license.Thank you again for resolving this issue.Hope to return next year for another fishing charter.

The big guy is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and his enthusiasm is infectious. This should be your "go to" for any fishing supplies.

Brian: I was in the area & stopped by since I have only been to this shop once before but was in a hurry. My 2nd visit was just after they remodeling the entire store, (looked great before & awesome after the renovations.) They were still reloading the shelves with inventory, but i was very impressed with their selection of unique & hard to find bass fishing tackle/gear they sell. I commented about this to the owner & other employees and was told that’s what their specialty is and try to offer a variety that’s unique & catches fish. I really like this place, everyone is super friendly, plus their selection of specialty tackle is rare to find locally. It’s a tackle junky’s paradise, with selections based on what works locally and enthusiast tackle plus the staple brands of fishing gear. I spent 30-45 minutes taking in the variety of items on display and chatting with the owner. He told me a few places to try & tips about how to fish several of the inland lakes in the area. He wasn’t trying to sell me baits, just being helpful. I love this shop and highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for fishing tackle, related accessories, proven lures, & hard to find high quality tackle at competitive prices. Going to visit them soon to load up on some new gear, and updates on the fishing conditions nearby!
