Ashley T.: Wonderful first dance lesson here a couple weeks ago! My fiancé and I are learning a waltz for our first dance as husband and wife for our wedding in a couple of months. My fiancé was dragging his feet prior to our lesson due to a precious bad experience elsewhere. Curtis, the owner, blew us out of the water! He was extremely genuine, funny, and easy to talk to and learn from which my fiancé especially appreciated. We had so much fun that we can’t wait to come back for our additional lessons and my fiancé actually enjoys dancing now!!!

All of the staff and dancers are so very pleasant. They are very patient, informative, high energy and love to dance. Curtis is the owner as well as an instructor. He pushes you to be better than you were the class before and never compares you to others. They work with the skills, or lack there of, that you have to bring out the ballroom dancer in you. They are not just about selling lessons and making money, they are about the love of dance. Hope to see you there!

Renee Campbell: I give this studio 5 stars! The staff there goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Everyone there is very nice. Our instructor Erik, is very patient with my husband and me. We are new to dance lessons and Erik finds a way to keep it light and fun. We look forward to coming in each week for our new lesson. They have a lot of activities that involve dancing and socializing.

Megan Carson: I was introduced to Elegance in Motion through Oakland University's ballroom dance club. The atmosphere at the studio is always welcoming and fun. The group lessons during the week make the private lessons a great deal, and are also good for learning a new move or two. All of the instructors are super friendly and knowledgable! Max KIRBYllion: Our wedding is in 6 months so I figured now was a good time to start dance lessons. This was my first time taking dancing lessons and I was pretty nervous because I'm not confident at all in my dancing abilities. Veronica was extremely friendly and made the lessons very easy. She was so fun to work with and she had my fiance and I laughing and having fun the whole time. Not only did she teach us how to dance to our song, but she also showed us how we can use our new moves in other songs. Now I am feeling a lot more confident about our wedding. I could not recommend her enough. She is such an excellent teacher and just an all around very friendly person. I'm excited for my next lesson and can't wait to see what more I can learn and do.

We've had continuous encouragement and support from her and feel excited to return to the studio after our wedding. We've seen some amazing dances and only wished we could have been in the reception hall to see the reaction of their guests. I had been trying to get to the Wednesday Night Dance Social for months at the invitation of my son, which got changed to Thursday Night Dance Social at the turn of the New Year.Tonight I was finally able to go!!!You know how it is when you do something new and you meet new people and you feel like the odd man or odd woman out or like the awkward new person that everybody has to wait on to catch up..... well - NOT HERE!Coming to this place feels like you came.to your sister's house that you haven't seen in about 3 years and she iwants you to know how much she missed you and how much you mean to her and she does her best to catch you up on everything you missed or didn't get to experience.Once in the Studio, eventhough Veronica was busy with other customers her eyes were trained on me and her eyes made the statement "I got you and eventhough I am attending to others..I am attending to you as well."I immediately felt welcome and a part of the fabric of fun and excitement that was moments ahead.Remember.... I received all of that energy from Veronica and the dancing had not yet began.... Just Imagine what the night was once we started dancing.I learned several dances. I tripped over her feet and mine a lot. She pushed everybody to do their very best, while keeping things fun, and on a very short timeline. Some of our best memories are from the lessons before the event, and our guests were blown away by the choreography and the dancing. Definitely glad we chose Veronica and Vita-Dance!

Renee Collins: I was surprised when my husband suggested we take private lessons to prepare for our son's upcoming wedding. I jumped on the opportunity. We decided to take private lessons with Karmin and will likely continue after the wedding. She has helped us match appropriate dances to music and coordinate our moves with the "beat." She makes us look like professionals even though we are novices. She has even suggested local venues where we can try out our newly learned skills.
Jazmine Gonzalez: We gave Karmin a super limited time to assist us with dance lessons for our first dance as a married couple for a song that was 5 minutes long. She made the routine fun and beautiful! We would highly recommend her and plan on using her for future dance lessons!
Scott & Louissa: We could not have asked for a better teacher. Karmin is simply the best. We arrived with no experience at all and left with high confidence dancing at our wedding. Due to the location of our wedding, we needed to learn an uncommon dance, but Karmin aced teaching it to us. She supported us picking out our song, taught us the steps of our dance and made us less nervous for dancing in front of a crowd. Rachel Horn: Karmin is a fantastic teacher! My husband and I had unique circumstances as we lived almost 1000 miles apart leading up to our wedding. Karmin was very flexible with us in teaching me how to dance from no dance experience and working in lots of lessons with my husband and I whenever my husband would be in town in order to create a beautiful wedding dance routine.She was really patient with all of our requests regarding our dance routine and also was very creative when it came to designing the dance. I went from having no idea how to do a box step to performing a Viennese waltz dance for my wedding that went very well. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Highly recommend her, she is excellent and very flexible!
Leif Clark: Karmin was awesome! We took lessons for a few months leading up to our wedding and it was a large time and financial investment, but it definitely paid off as the dance was a highlight of our reception. Everyone was so impressed with our dance and we got so many compliments. I cut my finger in a table saw the week before our wedding so we needed to make some last minute changes, but Karmin was able to re-choreograph part of our dance to make it work and it looked just as good. We'll be back for more lessons soon!

Ashley Kamlay: Karmin was AMAZING!!! My husband and I purchased private lessons with Karmin to choregraph our first dance for our wedding with less than 2 months to go. We have no prior dancing experience so Karmin started us off with the basics and worked hand in hand with us to design the perfect dance to our song. She was great at communicating, patient with us, and made the whole experience SO FUN! It turned into something we looked forward to every week and we shocked all our friends and family at our wedding with the dance!

Chris M: Karmin is my dance instructor and has been for the last 6 months. With her supervision, I advanced from "afraid of dancing" to "fun gentleman to dance with" and on to "confident social dancer". I no longer feel a need to begin a dance with an apology. And it is now fun to ask strangers to dance. Karmin has consistently done an incredible job of breaking dance steps down into their components and helping me understand how everything fits together. She explains things in ways that make sense. Karmin teaches in 2 locations. The Troy location features a huge dance floor with excellent-for-music acoustics --a basketball court! As more people are attending her classes here, the wisdom in having a space this big becomes more apparent: We can have lots of people AND social distance AND dance in a not-crowded space AND clearly hear the music and the instructor AND have fun. Karmin has taught me dances including the Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Hustle, Nightclub 2-Step, Rumba, East Coast Swing, American Tango, and Waltz.

She is very patient and was great at adjusting her teaching based on our level of experience (which was 0) including our ability to catch on.
