Shaun Avritt: I booked a class for my daughter and I. Donnie was awesome, educating us on different types of steel, temperatures, and techniques for forging. Very polite and great conversation in general. I would definately recommend and book again!!

Jeff Garrod: My wife got me an introduction to blacksmithing class with Donnie at CJ. Forge for my birthday. I've always been interested in forging and blacksmithing. My wife would have been disappointed if I hadn't come home with a blade. Donnie is a great guy. You can see he's patient and loves what he does. It was a welcoming and comforting atmosphere. I could have stayed all day and made even more pieces. I would definitely go back again either by myself or with somebody who would be interested and learning the basics as well.

Niko Kolis: Incredible shop with a talented owner smith. Donnie was extremely easy going and knowledgeable. He has a wealth of experience and is looking to share it with new up-and-coming smiths, or those just looking to hit some metal for the first time. I felt at ease practicing the basic skills of forging while we made some foundational tools of the trade. Will be taking more classes and hope to see a lot more of this seriously cool space.
Barry Boggs: My wife and I took a couples class and we LOVED it. The class was fun and we learned a ton. I'd recommend it even if you don't want to learn about forging (you will learn the basics whether you want to or not), because it's a fun way to spend an afternoon.I made a letter opener and a couple of hooks, while my wife made a hook and a key rack.

I would recommend it if you're considering it!! We were each able to forge three pieces during our time, 2 simple hooks, and then a main project.
