Andrew Magsam: The couple is very helpful and passionate about bonsais! A bit hard to find the first time but once you do the signs make it clear where the entrance is. It's surprising how much they fit into the space and as your walking in the fence has some nice looking ceramic pots for sale. The pots are shallow and range in width perfect for most set ups. They are also pretty reasonable priced. Inside the house it's full of varying bonsais and equipment from wire and pruning pruning shears. A bit naive on bonsai's, getting a gift, the couple walked me through the trees. Some had wonderful flowers but needed more advanced care. They had many options to choose from but I ended up getting a Brazilian rainforest tree, it's 8 years old. It was the perfect gift and now i want one myself. It's still alive but if you do end up losing a plant they offer half of the next one.

Alice Wilson: This is the best local bonsai place in Michigan. Not a nursery. This is purely traditional and authentic creations of the bonsai!!! A lovely elderly couple owns this house and it's just adorable and filled with galore! There is a great selection. Indoor and outdoor! I loved the owners, super knowledgeable and filled with love for bonsai.

J. Luke Huber: I have been coming to this store since around 1997. It has been the same proprietors who are very kind, knowledgeable, and understanding people. Discount on new trees if you return the pot. Best source for bonsai soil which is very useful when mixed with potting soil to increase drainage. Beautiful inventory of trees ranging in complexity of required care. A real treasure, worth the drive from any distance. Given the age of many of the trees and the with which they are cultivated, there is not a better value around.

X: Unresponsive on basic emails regarding stock, managers don't know simple concepts like deadheading, they say they gonna call you back on phone and never do.Go to Ray Wiegand instead, they actually care about you. Only a few more minutes away from the CTP location.Even when applying for a company position, the HR manager (Nicole Phillips) is so unorganized (I had to call her a half-hour later after our scheduled call). Poorly run company overall, but hey they can scam you on prices because they are "family-run". Maybe hire outside the family and connections and the place will be run professionally instead

Susan M: We drove 20 miles to shop here instead of shopping at the Troy, MI location because Karl Schmidt of Troy School District is stalking me on Yelp.We were looking for realistic Christmas garland that lit up with white LED lights. I had bought two 12 ft strands many years ago at the Troy location and wanted more to wrap around the porch. I get so many compliments on how classy my home looks in the winter because the garland looks so real.They had a lot of garland; however, we did not find any that met all requirements - wrong color, not realistic, didn’t match current set, no lights, etc. We ended up buying one realistic garland strand without LED lights. It was the only one they had!I bought a string of white LED lights for the garland at Meijer for $3 during their Christmas clearance sale. It looked fantastic and matched my current set. Now, I just need to find one more garland.

Unless I am purchasing a service that requires delivery, nothing you will sell me requires my personal information.The one and only time I have returned anything to EG in the 20 years I've shopped there, you got a fake phone number because it either doesn't matter, in which case you don't need it or you're going to sell my info in which case no one should be buying from you.

I even had someone help me out when she was done working. The flowers will go well with my daughters pots they painted. Flowers looked wonderful but glad this place is open.
