Jim Keister: We're a small company leasing a vehicle for business. Sutton has automatically renewed license tabs since our lease started 5 years ago. This year I call, and call, the number I've used for years and then finally called a "main" office. This office forwarded my concern for tabs and I get an email stating; "We no longer automatically do the license renewals under our new ownership, but I did request a price quote to renew." Isn't this something you should let the lessee know? I still, a month later, have not heard back on the price quote. Will not recommend.
Keith S.: Just a terrible experience. Every request I make takes MULTIPLE requests. I cannot emphasize enough - go anywhere else. Do not use this company.
Stevan Popovic: We are a small business in MI. Leased a Isuzu NPR Diesel Truck with buyout at the end of the lease. The truck had 60K miles on it. We did all our maintenance from Sellers where the truck was purchased. The Diesel Engine went bad at 140K miles. We only had 10 months left to own it free and clear. They couldn't care any less about us. This truck was the biggest purchase we made and is the backbone of our delivery company. This should not have happened and they are doing nothing to help us. They offered to put us in another truck and roll in the remainder of $8K owed. So now we would have to start over. Literally the sales rep Dennis stated: "You only have one truck with us. If you had 15 it would be a different story". So since we are small and only have one truck they are not willing to help us.

Arrived early and I didn't mind waiting for them to tell me they wouldn't have a car until tomorrow. Now I paid spot on. Then the lady told me in order to get my refund I had to call customer service. Well calling them wasn't easy either. So the lady called me back and told me she could refund my money but of course it would take 5-10 business days and it only took 6 seconds for them to take my payment off rip. Now here I am waiting out in the cold for another lyfy to pick me up. This place is a total scam. Oh and the guy that brings the cars around is driving with flip flops on reckless. So thanks Avis! I'll never use your service again!

Wait 4 hours for a car to show just to be told I can’t pass a background check to hold the $300 deposit… First time trying Avis and will not be trying them again. Don’t waste your time here

Joseph was so nice and kind to myself and family as a rented a car from enterprise! Joseph gave me exceptional customer service I was happy and satisfied with his positive attitude and how he treated me and made sure I was happy and satisfied with my car rental!! As I rented the car I occurred some car trouble with the tire pressure and then I meet Nathan, another Exceptional employee at Enterprise, Nathan was also so nice, kind, and caring about my situation and made sure I was given another car in a timely matter’ I was so happy and grateful to have two great caring men care about me getting into a car I liked and was reliable enough to drive! I will recommend this location to family and friends because of Joseph and Nathan Over Abundant Exceptional Customer Service! They really cares about me being satisfied with my rental and even called me to make sure I was doing well! Joe Todd: We needed a temporary car when my wife's was in the shop and the experience was good. Getting the vehicle was straightforward, and the agent explained everything in great detail. Returning the vehicle was likewise quick and efficient, and I was checked out in no time. My only gripe is Enterprise offers no service to get you home when you drop off the vehicle. I don't rent cars often, so perhaps not giving your customers a way home is an industry standard. But it seems that with the rates you charge and the vehicle being returned in the exact condition it was lent in, you could take your customers home. Especially when you'll take your customer to the shop when their vehicle is repaired

Julie Lewis: Response to Update - Enterprise Management DID NOT handle this quickly or efficiently.Immediate in person face to face with the mgr - NO HELP. 4 days of contacting Enterprise, not them reaching out to us or handling the situation as a manager is responsible to do at the time of the incident, in person no less. We had to reach out via text, calls and voicemails for 4 days before talking to the maintenance dept.The maintenance dept at Enterprise may have been quick & efficient, I'll never know, I'm not responsible for managing them or inter-department correspondence. I can say Reggie should've been the point of contact from the get go. He handled it professionally and with integrity, the rental dept manager can use continuous improvement customer service training, scratch that, she needs RETRAINING in all managerial functions, tasks, responsibilities.Updated - Damage caused by lawn maintenance crew was handled quickly and efficiently.Initial review - Damage to personal property from landscape maintenance company right after picking up vehicle from body shop. Enterprise failed to provide the company name at time of incident and seems to be passing the buck 4 days later. Do not recommend this location!
O S: I do not recommend dealing with them. When I returned the car to them, they made sure it was in order and signed all the paperwork saying it was in order. I was surprised after a long time that they sent me a fine that you filled it with something other than petrol and you have to pay the repair fee. I called the lawyer and he told me that you can file a complaint against them because you signed papers that the car is in good condition .. they want to get the money in any way

They kept my truck for 12 days for 2 recalls (master cylinder and door lock actuator), charged me $635 for a transmission flush and oil change and wanted to charge me another $1500.00 to replace a blend door actuator, which they messed up when they replaced the faulty navigation system. I replaced it myself for $25. My transmission still makes noise after it heats up, which is actually why I took it in to begin with. Needless to say, I’m not satisfied.

Quickly discovered it did not fix the issue called to make an appointment they don’t have any says the service person i used for the service. Frustrating when you take the time to go to the dealership sit for 2.5 hours for oil change and wheel balancing and problem still exists. What i want to hear is come in and we will figure it out and take care of you sorry for the inconvenience.

Dan Martin: Brought my vehicle into Suburban Ford about 10 days ago. The most important part is the team was able to fix the problem ( which was a water pump issue that is a lot of work since you have take a lot out to get to it. The reason for the 1 star is my service rep Brandon was completely zero help. On at least 4 occasions I'd call or text the number they want you to use and would be promised a call back by him for an update and he'd just never call back. It happened several times in the first 5 or 6 days they had the vehicle due to someone not even looking at it yet. I'm not upset in the least by that because I know how busy the service department is right now. The disappointing and infuriating part was that there was no communication. I pointed this out to Brandon on many occasions either in VM or on the phone with him that I would appreciate if he kept me better informed. He always said he would and did not. Even on the morning it was getting "buttoned up" (his words) I asked him for communication either by text or a phone call later in the day so he could tell me if it was done to pick up. No call or reach out happened at the end of the day again, and I even reached out by text and a phone call later that afternoon, neither were ever returned. I have family and friends that have worked at Ford for years, but I would never in good faith recommend taking your car there after this experience. I got a real chuckle as I was leaving when I was asked to make sure I filled out the survey that was coming. As you wish...Best Regards,Dan Martin

Andrew Hale: We purchased a demo eTransit from the dealership. Salesman was very polite but not very transparent and slow to process a deposit refund. I thought I was buying a vehicle that would qualify for the EV tax credit but after purchasing the van I found out the dealer was only discounting the vehicle to pass along the tax credit. Great, I did get the tax credit, but I was led to believe I was getting a discount on the MSRP for buying their demo van. Then I was forced to purchase a $2500 appearance warranty package because it was already on the van so I had to pay for it? So very bad taste regarding my sales experience but it wasn’t my worst experience ever. However, my service experience was terrible. Back in November 2022, I took the van to a EVgo @ Meijer for rapid charging but learned the van could not communicate with the charging station. I took the van back to Suburban of Sterling Heights and they performed a software update. Whatever update they performed did not fix the problem. I came back to the service department at Suburban to look at it again. They kept the van for several days to assess. It was determined that the charging plug needs to be replaced but was on backorder due to supply chain problems. After waiting 3 months of not being able to put the van out on a service route, I took the van to a more local Ford dealership for service. Within 48 hours, they fixed and took my van to 3 different rapid charging stations and verified that my van connects to the rapid chargers. To my understanding, the fix was a software update. After nearly 5 months of ownership, we can now place this van into our fleet.Business Fleet managers, I would not recommend Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights due to nontransparency of the sales department and the lack of experience of the service technician(s). I am leaving a two-star due to the service staff. The service guys were polite and were happy to help to the best of their ability. I am fully aware that EV’s are new and we are all learning together but my whole experience was less than unfavorable. I will work with my local Ford dealership for any future sales or service needs.

Rebecca Back: I bought a 2016 Ford Fusion from this place in February of 2022. Within 6 months the engine had to be replaced. It was under warranty but it took a month to get it done. I've had tire issues, had to get a wheel alignment, replace various bushings and control arms. Now the transmission has gone out and I've had a heck of a time trying to reach the Finance Department to check on my power train warranty. When they finally called me back I waited on hold for half an hour and got hung up on. I believe it's fair to say I bought a lemon. I just want to get out from under this car. It's the worst car I've ever had!
Brian H: I should have trusted my instinct not to purchase a used vehicle from a company that prides itself on "volume sales" at any cost. Had a costly issue that wasn't revealed to me until about a year after purchase - a headlight was literally glued into the socket and couldn't be replaced without the entire headlight assembly being replaced. There's absolutely no way I could have known this until after the headlight burned out. Was told hey, sorry man, maybe go to a junkyard for a replacement.Struts started going out after about a year of mild driving as well, oopsie doopsies guess that's on me too.On the positive side, I've been making payments faithfully, my credit score is way better, and I'm gonna trade this thing in soon for something better from elsewhere. Strongly recommend against buying from this dealership.
Rachael Wojta: Nope, nope, nope. I bought a Fiesta from them back in January that I have had nothing but issues with. I wasn’t going to say anything, but with the continuous disrepair that this car exhibits as time goes on (with 38k miles), I have to express my disappointment. I am paying over the average and fair cost of this car, under the assumption that it would function properly being a 2019. I hadn’t had the vehicle for two months and the defroster started to malfunction. They wanted $445 to repair it. Now, my sound system is going. Not only that, but they sold me an unprogrammed key which I was told would take about “10 minutes to fix”. Service said that “they don’t know why they said that” and I had to take my limited PTO to get the key programmed on a different day. Just has been overall an unenjoyable and inconvenient experience. The only silver lining has been Jason at service. What an awesome guy.
Rob D: Buyer Beware and don't make the mistake I did and buy a used car from Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights. Less then 2500 miles and it has been in the shop several times for over a month. Overpriced used car, defrost did not work, alignment was off, rear suspension clank and poping for a recall that was never done, bad front wheel bearing, leaking front axle seal, leaking rear main, leaking trans cooler lines, bad rear wheel bearing and that is so far. The cost to fix this overpriced car and the rental car I had to get so I could go to work should serve as a warning to you, don't make the mistake I did! Buyer Beware!

I was there in 2017 and purchased a vehicle everything was smooth .Unprofessional communication between hunter , and the financing managers.I went back to this dealership to purchase another vehicle and talk about a NIGHTMARE ! Let me explain .. So I inquired about a 2020 ford escape … I was original suppose to work with Isaiah ; but the day of driving all the way up there he had to leave early .. Ok so when I walked in I got greeted by hunter .. The car I was coming in to look at wasn’t even on the lot . It was down the street getting a new windshield , so I walked In and stated that I was already financed through my bank and because they were a preferred dealer through BOA all they had to do was pull my reference number to get my loan conditions and stuff .. Hunter and one of the finance manager mike were adamant that they can’t pull my loan through a reference number … LIES ! BOA said they could . Instead this dealership didn’t like the fact that I didn’t wanna do “in house financing” they ran a credit application to my bank without my consent and had numbers mixed up which caused my bank to flag me since I was already approved through them ! After back and fourth with hunter and the finance manager I had enough ! They kept asking for tax documents which was in correct since my bank had already did all that ! When I went in today January 13th one of the managers came to talk to me and his exact words were “you can’t walk into my establishment and expect a car without financing” I said sir I’m already financed !Needless to say I went across the street to Serra whelan Chevrolet who’s also a preferred dealership and guess what ? I walked off the lot with a 2019 Chevy blazer ! And guess what ? They were able to pull my loan through the reference number ! After suburban screwed up they had to call my bank and fix everything! I would not recommend this dealership !! Lost out on 25k because they wanted me to finance through them ! I highly recommend Serra whelan across the street ! Hands down ! Don’t waste your time here ! It’s gone down hill since 2017! Also when I asked for them to shred my paper work 📑 they through it in a locked box instead of actually shredding it ! Stay away ! Gladly took my business else where ! John Chalawich: Had a very good overall experience with the dealership. I worked with Hunter Hoppe as the sales rep. & Bryan as SM. At the end of the day we were happy we drove nearly an hour each way over 2 days. We wanted to make sure we did our due diligence and took our time doing research and made sure the vehicle we bought was right for us! At no point did we feel pressured or swindled as some of the other reviews said... They understood the first vehicle was not as good of a match as we wanted. Upon leaving the first day Bryan mentioned there was another vehicle that had become available as we were preparing to leave and it was simply a suggestion as we had a specific model and year we wanted... Only having a short window of time we took it for a quick drive and actually really enjoyed it but had no time to do research it to make sure it's history and safety logs checked out. After our brief 2nd vehicle test drive we had said we liked that car... But had no more time left as we had another appointment. The Manager said, no worries I totally understand we want you to be in a vehicle you are comfortable with and feel good about wether it is with us or not, take your time and we will hold the car, no deposit for you if you would be able to come back in the morning tomorrow? We of course said sure... There was an opportunity for me to do my research to make sure it was what we wanted and it was a good and safe purchase for my son as this was his first car! He saved up for 2 years and paid cash for it!! $8200 is a lot to pay for a used car but the actual value and price was spot on based on our research. They had replaced front brakes, major front end steering components and put new tires on as well... We felt comfortable with the vehicle that it was safe and was a worth while purchase!!! We were out the door after a couple of hours of paper work and detailing the vehicle and all the things that go with buying a vehicle now.... Listen, I read a lot of the reviews before I even made my initial trip out... We spent over 3.5 hours in just driving back and forth over 2 days and it was worth it! I feel a lot of individuals see dealerships as a negative experience or that they are out to get you..... I am sure things happen and no one is innocent of mistakes, but as long as a consumer takes their time, does their research, pays attention to what is actually going on and is a good stuard of the process things will be fine. You are buying a USED VEHICLE.... AS IS. It is really that simple. If you say yes why would they say no? It's up to the consumer at the end of they day to pay attention to what your doing and what your buying. The terms are laid out in plain sight..... You have to sign a form BEFORE you can even get the keys saying THIS IS BEING SOLD AS IS WE OWE YOU NOTHING AND IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY.... This is about as simple as it gets y'all..... If you have an issue after you drive it off the lot it is now YOUR issue. I know that can sound harsh but I knew that going into this and understood the rules. If I wanted something different I could have spend 4x the price and bought new and then I could have expected a warranty and expected everything to be perfect. At the end of the day I am very happy with Hunter Hoppe and the team at Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights (Used). Claire Myers: To start - as a business owner ourselves, we don’t typically like to leave reviews because we know there’s always two sides to every story. So, there’s something to be said that we’re taking the time to leave this review, based on such a poor customer service experience.To sum it all up - this is the type of dealership that calls you on pickup day and tells you that they already sold the car to someone else. They will ignore your ($500) deposit and sell the car for a higher price, since it works in their benefit.The communication between Sales Manager (James W.) and Salesperson (Shawn S.) is very poor & unprofessional. With the Sales Manager even blatantly blaming it on his 20-year-old Salesperson for not having communicated properly with his own boss.Very clear that they value money more than taking care of their customers.As mentioned, not only have they lost our business, but as someone who comes across hundreds of clients a week in our own business, we’ll make sure to share our experience with them - especially those in the market for cars. As James mentioned in our last phone call, “nothing personal, it’s all business”.
Kimberly McKnee: Needed help setting up Ford Pass on the car i had bought in September. The in-car screen indicated i had to contact the dealer. I drove there thinking it was a quick fix. Tom was the manager that evening-he was genuinely friendly and acted right away! He sent me across the street to service and called there asking them to look for me. It was almost closing but Jason Jackson greeted me, explained it probably needed an update that would take a few hours. Jason gave me his card and said to call him in the morning. We were able to set up a time for the next day and done! Great service all around. Thanks Tom and Jason!

Lace Me Hair company: I leased a car through them in 2010 and they promised me that i will only lease this particular car for 6 months which was a Honda Accord and after 6 months I can get the car I wanted. Well I paid 400 a month for a year straight on time and they lied to me. They were tryna keep me stuck with that car so I turned the car in and refused to continue. A few years later they sued me and garnished my taxes to pay off whatever I owed . Now 12 years later I have to sue them for garnishing me a 2nd time on something that I already paid in full. This place is a joke

April McCain: UPDATE: My car was stolen again this time in 2021 and the service was completely different this time... thanks to God and my changed attitude... I will give them five stars the first time I gave them one.... but this time they tracked the car down and Have it back after its been stolen for one week...My car was stolen Monday Oct 19, 2019. I called them they didn’t want to speak to me unless I have police report. I obtained the police report and asked them if they are able to track my car. These PEOPLE TOLD NO WERE NOT TRACKING THE CAR UNLESS ITS BEHIND ON ITS PAYMENTS!!! My car note was due the next day that Tuesday and I REFUSED TO PAY! So they could track my car , they told me NO WERE NOT GOING TO DO THAT FOR SECURITY PURPOSES... so you tell me you can’t collaborate with the police to find a car technically still yours?? They still said the same thing, harassing me all week for a payment when the notes clearly said the car was stolen!!! They denied the insurance claim because I refuse to pay on a stolen car that they could help track. I got an attorney involved and the attorney asked for an insurance policy. They told ME NO WE CANT DO THAT BECAUSE THE CAR PAYMENT IS BEHIND. Forcing me to pay for an insurance policy. That’s not even the icing to the cake, these people told me the POLICE WOULD HAVE TO FIND IT. And so they did now the car is in the impound when it could have been avoided if they tracked the car in the first place. They want me to pay for impound fees and still pay on the car. When my car was stolen and I pay y’all over $500 a month and they have $12,000 of my money. IM curently still without a car because I have no help getting the car back into my possession by the way my car note was all current during the time my vehicle was stolen..
Goose Gossett: The company as a whole is kind of a scam. I fell into the same trap as many people here, not knowing the car was a lease until well after I signed a contract. That being said, there is one bright light in the company and her name is Juanita. She has been the absolute most helpful, nicest woman to help me through many difficult situations. I would normally not publish a review on this company because the previous ones speak for themselves, however I felt compelled to recognize this wonderful soul who deserves way more than she is getting paid, I'm sure. I will never use Brite Financial again, but I can only hope that I come across Juanita somewhere else in the future.
Lateef Wright: This is by far the worst lending company to ever apply for a loan with. In 2019, I was tricked into a lease when I was informed I was going to be finance for a car. I was never late nor missed a payment, and in fact I spent over $4000 to pay the lease off a year before the last payment was due. I turned the car in, and before I knew it, a couple months later I received a credit alert stating that my credit score decreased by over 150 points, due to Brite financial flagged my credit report with a charge off for $233, which they claimed I owe. And the representative in the legal department claimed he personally sent a letter to my house stating that I owe a balance of $233.I never received any letter from them. And if they have always communicated with me by email, why would they send a letter all of a sudden. The letter they claim to have sent never arrived at my address. And the person from the legal department wasn’t helpful at all. After explaining to him that after I paid the car off and turned it in, Brite Financial still had in their possession my down payment which was a deposit I was promised to receive once turning in the car. That deposit was over $1200. There was nothing wrong with the car when I returned it, put side of it needing a new key fob, yet they stole my deposit and still charged me $233. Yet never sent any letter or itemize list showing how I owe $233. I recommend any and everyone to stay far away from that piece of s#!t of a company. They are scam artists!!! I’ve heard all bad reviews about this company after I was duped into the lease, but never thought that I would be writing a review due to these crooks taking my deposit, flagging my credit with a charge off and then lying about sending me a letter concerning what I owe them.
God's Light: For four years we paid brite Financial In a lease. Never was told it was just a lease. We thought we was in a contract to by our car. We are black and middle class whenever we pay that much money for something we trying to own it. To own it after 4 years of payments and over $24,000 paid on it they still want another $5,000 for it to be ours. Never again! If you fine with wasting your hard earned money, go ahead! Horrible contact and not set up for people to win, just the bank. Car-rite is where we got the car! Horrible service as well.
Lasherri Brown: I started the process on my extended lease program for my car and I had the pleasure of speaking with a few different people but I encountered this young lady by the name of Junita her extention is 248. She has made this process so smooth. She has assisted me when I was going through it. She calmed me down and walked me through every step. Her yes ma'am is so comforting. I believed them, they and I had legitimate paperwork proving that my income had changed and yes they took the car back but they did not tell me that it would negatively affect my credit report these people did me wrong

John Krepp: Took a bit to get checked in. Was recommended to get a front end alignment, which I did. When I received the final paperwork it seems not much alignment was needed. Maybe check the calibration on your alignment checking equipment that you drive through.
