Detroit Children's Museum: what do users think?
Aser Elshawi: Today we met Charles! I wish my daughter learn from him. He is just AMAZING!!If you're looking for someone to make your day, meet this guy and talk to him.The museum is closed for public, but he still met us and we had so much fun talking to him
Major Jusmajor: Staff members are always exceptional.
Saundra Richardson: Love this place
Andella White: Fun and educational for kids of all ages.
Ben Williams: It's a great place to bring your children learn about history of science and for me it brings back memories being there as a kid
Seydi Sarr: I found books that accurately portray my senegalese heritage and many beautiful artifacts and dolls💜
Andrea Johnson: There are so many jewels in history here you must bring your kids to very kid-friendly the atmosphere is amazing
Cln Ly: I like this museum especially the free books.
Norm La Salle: Need more free parking
Cyndi Russ: I had fun with my grand daughter there. Good place to visit .
toni zbikowski: I guess if we want the museum to be open to Detroit Metro, Metro needs to help financially support the Museums or the state needs to step up. We need to tell our representatives in MI&DC to not cut funding to the Arts&Ed
Keith Pettygrue Jr: Very polite and friendly. Cool little activity for kids. Oil
Daniel Elrod: Nice
Douglas Hill: Great place to take the kids
Mike Cunningham: Wonderful exhibits, interactive, fun for all
vic1101ful: My students and always have a wonderful learning experience.
The Cry for America With Dr Kwaw (The Cry for America): Great fun
PJ'S creative corner: It seemed out to me this was closed on a Saturday?
Andy Butler: Same as other reviewers. It says it is open, drove all the way down here, = NOT OPEN
Maria Dickerson: Why is this museum being advertised on local Detroit stations when it is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC? This makes no sense whatsoever! Since it is open to DPS schools only...wouldn't the DPS schools KNOW THIS thus no need to show on television. NOT all school age children ATTEND DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS...but would benefit from the experience of the Children's Museum. Can someone figure this out..how hard it is actually?
This Is A Bucket: Took grand children today. Website said open today 9 to 4. NOT! Sign on door says open to DPS only. Common sense says put that on the website! Apparently the staff lacks in that department.

Cranbrook Institute of Science: what do users think?
Steve Buero: This place used to be one of my favorite places to go. The museum has been updated but seems to be same old stuff about space and rocks and humans heritage... wait I thought it was science, nope history museum instead of cool hands science stuff. Went there mainly for the good old pink floyd laser show... nope, all cgi projected on the ceiling instead, stay home and watch a screensaver with dark side of the moon in the background. Quite disappointed Cranbrook!Price for entry: $18Ticket type: Museum admit plus pink floyd show.

Victoria Bogoevski (Essentially an Empath): Absolutely LOVED our time here. We went once during the week and once on the weekend so my husband and their grandparents could see the exhibit as well.As a SAHM I would rather take the boys during the week as it was far less crowded and seemed easier to navigate as it wasn't so crowded.I do wish that the planetarium was offered on other days as well, rather than just Friday, Saturday, Sunday, as those seem to be busier days.Having smaller kids I love that the building is smaller than most other museums so I feel more confident when I go by myself with the kids.Parking is a two level structure, so some shaded and some not. The parking is a bit of a walk from the front doors, but being greeted by a stegosaurus replica is so much fun for the kids.I took my two young boys ages 4.5 and 2.5, during the touring exhibit of SUE the TREX, twice! They absolutely fell in love with seeing all of the larger exhibits there are.I was worried the boys would be too young for the science aspect of the museum and only be interested in seeing the trex cast, wooly mammoth cast, and other animals that are preserved. They did enjoy seeing all of the animals, and most of the other exhibits. The one my kids were nervous about was the exhibit showing how humans survived as that area is not as lit up as the rest of the museum. The Cafe was a perfect place to stop and grab a bite because I had underestimated how long we would truly stay there. Spoiler, we stayed for 4 hours. As an adult who loves learning and enjoys museums it also was fascinating to walk through and learn things I had forgotten from childhood.Needless to say we ended up purchasing the family membership to return frequently. My boys constantly ask to return and we will be doing so minimum monthly.
Kisha Emanuel: The kiddos had fun

Maria Livieratos: The Cranbrook Institute of Science was totally Amazing. I took my 3 & 6 year old Grand kids, and they Loved it!! They didn't want to leave. The Sue T-Rex exhibit was very educational with hands on exhibits touching Dinosaur bones, and the kids got to touch & feel. The movies were very good and not scary. There were lots of Dinosaurs, fossils, a huge rock exhibit , crafts and so many things to see and do!! We now have some great memories & photos too. What a fun filled day. I highly recommend this and the cost was reasonable too.
Geoff Paulin: We went in the evening so we could visit the observatory, as well as the other exhibits, including Sue, the T-rex.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Naomi Wei: Cranbrook academy is located at a hill where there are quite a few blocks with nice landscape. In this institute, there are two floors which has science from biology, marine to minerology. In any spring break or summer holiday, any one bring their family to the museum could learn a lot about science behind the earth evolution. And the planet around the building may be good for photography.
Ed Boucher: This is an excellent institution. Engaging for all ages!
