Paul LaTorre's Christmas Tree Lots: what do users think?
Alexander Voice: Same experience as many others on here. We cut the bottom and started watering immediately, but it never took any water and started losing lots of needles immediately. Almost completely bare by Christmas.I have never had this experience before cutting my own. They likely cut the trees back in October or something. Waste of $100 and huge hassle and mess. I will not be back.
Leighton Watson: Trees mostly dead and terrible customer service. Don't waste you're time here.
Joshua Garrison: Outstanding customer service and great selection!
Destinye Lewis: All the trees I saw where $100 and up even small ones. But they had some really nice big and full Douglas furrs.
Annie: Great experience buying my tree today! I went in knowing I wanted a fir, but the guy assisting us helped explaining the differences between types and prices before we started looking, too. The whole experience was super efficient and everyone working there was friendly. Will definitely be coming back next Christmas! :)
Cathy Ann: Went here last year as our lot in SCS had a memory unit home built on it over the year. These guys have Metro Detroit roots and my husband used to know the grandparents from growing up on Eastside of Detroit. Great hard working family. Supporting small business at it’s best.
Rachel Black: We got our tree the first week of December, and I’ve had a real tree every year since I can remember. But never have I had a tree shed so bad. Realizing it was already dead, now. It stopped taking in water almost immediately and as I just undecorated it, it lost an unreal amount of needles. Since it was so naked… I could then tell it had been SPRAY PAINTED. Although the guys at the lot were so friendly, I can’t believe they can send trees home like this because it’s a serious fire hazard. 😓 $100 horribly spent but thankfully it didn’t cost more, like our house or dogs life in a fire.
Katelyn Spencer: Never leave reviews, but felt like we needed to warn people. We paid $90 and our tree started losing needles horribly right from the start. If you so much as breathe on it, thousands of needles fall to the ground. We also found out they spray painted it to look fresher before we bought it, which I feel is very deceiving. They probably cut it down early November at this rate. You can see the paint if you look closely. Very disappointed. Had it a couple weeks and it is mostly bare, even with strictly telling the kids not to touch it! What a bummer!
Mila Chernolutskiy: Service is great and they explained well. Very pleasant experience.
James Thompson: I love that they don’t require a mask of be worn.
Sharon Allen: Friendly helpful. Yes more expensive this year, but they are beautiful.
Austin Curtis: Best place around to get real, michigan grown, trees!! Prices beat all the other local lots and the trees are much nicer. This spot will be the new tradition for getting trees every year.
Joshua Freeman: Get our tree here every year. Nice people!!Felicia delete your review your a nut case. Just because you typed in a service on maps and this place came up (because you included Christmas trees which they sell) and your not smart enough to know anything isn't the business problem. You think this lot is the only one providing this service? Report her review people.
Felicia Vanetten: Was looking for a tree nursery that you rent the tree and return it and get it again the next year instead i found this and it appears they just chop it down and pack it up and send you on your way. Disappointed in the process and was willing to purchase. Also find the reply rude and find my review accurate given that i was specifically looking for the service and this is what comes up when it makes more sense to have a recyclable and environmentally friendly product then have to use cost to upkeep more atleast yearly and find it a misconduct of resources and especially with the reply will never spend an unappreciated cent here. My review an obvisious basis of killing the tree for business, lack of eco-friendly option, what seems lack of delivery, what you can see on their website and now with the crude reply i feel event more solidified in it is tempting to event lower it but i won't because i made up my mind. I will with certainty not support this type of business or management.
Marybeth Ruth: Paul LaTorre has been delivering our tree for years. His trees are simply the best! Happy to support someone who works so hard and believes in customer service.
The Crookedchef: Worse tree i have ever bought, 90$ for a tree that i should have returned the next day since it was dropping needles like crazy...Week after buying i could run my fingers across a branch and EVERY needle falls off... today is Christmas Eve and its been 12 days since I bought tree and I have to take it down. Lost 2 childhood ornaments that fell and broke bc of this dead tree and I don't want to lose any others. And yes I have had the tree stand/holder filled to top with water since day 1...Will never be back!!
Kaytee Wildner: Everyone here was very sweet and this will definitely be my yearly place to get a tree for sure. The most beautiful tree we’ve ever had!
Jennifer Buffa: Get your Christmas tree here.Love the freedom of choice. 🙌Let freedom ring. All glory goes to JESUS!Merry Christmas. Cheers!
Paul DeFillippo: Nice selection of freshly cut trees, friendly service, got a beautiful, 7' fraser fur for about $100. We love it, living room smells great. 😁😁 Merry Christmas 🎄
crispy crispy: Awesome service! 1/2 the price of the first lot we attempted to go. All around great experience. Kids had a blast and the people working there were very helpful and nice. The other place the guy was right behind us watching us like we were gonna run off with his tree. Highly recommend going to Paul's. Thank you guys for the great service.
James Lobaza: Beautiful trees! Best service. Had in strapped to my car in minutes. We get our tree here every year. Don't forget to tip!

Victoria: Such nice guys, Beautiful trees and overall awesome experience!!
Rolando Cantu: The Best service and value around for Perfecty trimmed Trees 🌲... Paul is Great at what he does! We get our Black Hills from him every year!
Monu Sarah: Great trees in a reasonable price
Aaron Schultz: After looking at the prices, I checked to see if I was on hidden camera. There are good trees available, buy you will pay 3X-4X the price of the other farms around. Go somewhere else and spend the $200 you saved on your family.
Alice Carleton: Paul went above and beyond helping me pick out a tree he will now be my go-to guy for anything Christmassy

Tryban Trees: what do users think?
Sarah Holland: Friendly people and beautiful trees! Highly recommend. Be sure to bring cash, since they are cash only.
Michelle Trevizo: Been going to Tryban tree’s every year for a few years now and they never disappoint!! Tree’s are always so fresh and last well into the new year. Dan is great and was very helpful in choosing the best tree for my needs. I highly recommend Tryban Tress surly the best in the area!!
Susan Sohn: Love this place! Been going there for years. Beautiful trees, fair prices, and friendly people. Highly recommend!
Katie Reviews: Knowledgeable, family-owned, good selection, and reasonable pricing. Friendly people. We will be back next year!
Nancy R.: We went out for our tree 3 weeks ago, received great service that was so friendly and professional. What a happy experience. 😊Here we are with our beautiful tree still green and fragrant, what more can I say? Fantastic!!👏🎄
Melinda Rosner: I called with a few questions, and the gentleman who answered my call was friendly and helpful. Once at the lot, the customer service remained top-notch. Beautiful selection of trees.
Jake Tiffary: Great selection. Very fresh full trees. Friendly and very helpful staff. Highly recommend
Elaine Williams: This is my second year getting my tree from here and they never disappoint! I love that it is family owned. Th family is very well knowledgeable about the different trees. There is no other place I will get my trees from now on.
Rachel Mortensen: We’ve been getting our tree, garland and wreaths from Tryban for about 5 years now and are never ever disappointed, with the tree or the service! This family knows their trees and are always so kind and welcoming. We have found their prices to be very competitive and their quality to above the rest. We love taking our children and dog each year for our special tree picking tradition. And we LOVE the opportunity to support the farmers directly.
Ashley Bair: They were GREAT! The trees were all beautiful, it was hard to choose because any of them could have worked. The service was excellent and they helped us have a great experience picking out our special tree 🎄⛄❤️
Hima Chopra: Thoroughly pleased with the quality of trees and service. They have a wide selection of trees and I found the one for me within minutes, and absolutely love my decision! The service was great, and friendly. They even delivered our tree for a small price. It was hassle free process. Just remember to take cash, no credit cards. Highly recommend this place!
Erin T: Friendly and knowledgable! A very good range of sizes and prices.
Mr. Kap: Had a wonderful experience, will be back next year. Great trees and prices. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!
eboni carter: Great service !!
Aaron Schultz: I will definitely come back to Tryban next year. We went to 9 tree farms in the area before visiting Tryban, and we finally found what we were looking for. You will find quality trees here with variety at a more than competitive price. The guys running this business are extremely helpful and polite.
Dave Dz: Great selection, great customer serviceFamily owned. They grow the trees 'up north' themselves.
J P: First time customers- great selection & service ! See you next year!!
Timothy Howse: Normally our family gets Christmas trees from Home Depot, Lowe's or another tree lot. A lot of times, trees from these places shed needles constantly near the end of the season. I found this place off a quick Google search, and I'm so glad I did! The staff were very helpful in helping me find the exact tree my family was looking for. While their prices are higher than what you would pay at Home Depot or Lowe's for trees, it's worth the extra money. Their trees have shed hardly any needles & have held up very well throughout the season. We are very happy we bought from them & and would definitely recommend this place to others.
Pamela Peter: They have the most beautiful, healthy trees in their lot. Sorry, no "charlie brown trees" here, Lol. They do have smaller trees for condos and apartments though.Father and son are very personable and accommodating. I noticed they enjoyed watching families pick out their perfect tree. I never felt or saw any pressure to buy, yet they were assesable when your ready to purchase. It was nice to be able to get the stand for the tree also. Better price than stores. The craftsmanship of the wreaths and garland are amazing, full and securely wrapped. They showed me how they make them right on the grounds. Excellant prices. Even the young boys, contribute to the family business by making small scented sprays for a dollar. It was a great experience. I will be back next year.

Candy Cane Christmas Tree Farm: what do users think?
Nicole Desmond: I won’t get a tree here ever again. We spent $145 on out “perfect” 9ft tree. Took it up front and the kid didn’t trim and flatten the bottom. He left all kinds of mangled branches on the bottom. He kept stepping on it because he wasn’t strong enough to lift it. He did not shake the tree enough because we got it home and it’s full of grass, leaves, and dead needles. Way too much goofing off was going on that day. We will return to Sherwood Forest for our tree next year.
Michael Shuell: Much easier than I ever expected, great for the family. Our tree lasted the entire month of December and into Jan!
Mike Pranke: Best Christmas Tree farm anywhere. Great staff, Great trees and always Great Experience!
John Wilson: Great place to bring the family to find and cut a fresh Christmas tree.
Michelle M: Just got our Christmas tree 🌲 Our 2nd time at Candy Cane Tree Farm and can't say enough good things about the people and the selection. This place will be become our tradition! They even took our photo 😁. Everyone is super helpful and they had the cutest decorations in the little store too. Santa is there too, and looked 🎯
Eric Herron: Great little family run Christmas tree farm. Lots of trees to choose from to U-cut and Pre-cut. Great prices. Friendly helpful staff. Open a few weeks in late November and early December. 12noon-5p Tuesday-Friday, weekends 9a-5p. Santa arrives most weekends. Great fun for the whole family.
Jenn Karteczka: Friendly family and workers, great selection for cut your own and pre-cut.
Russ Ming: This will be our fourth year going to Candy Cane. Always a great experience!
Chelsea Nickol: We love this place!!! Have been going for years. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Nice tree and they shake and wrap them! Santa is a nice bonus for the kids! Highly recommend
The Paint Box: Best place you’ll ever get a tree their prices are well worth their quality
Farid Luna: Great place, very good looking trees, different species, and the service from the owner was the best
Michael Shaw: Friendly staff and awesome trees, this is definitely our new stop for Christmas trees. The donuts and hot cider were great as well.
Scott Totti: Small local family business. We go there every year because they have the best trees and the best people! Great owner who stands by the quality of the trees and service!
Chelsea Tracy: Their site and google says they are open, they are closed for the season. They could at least put a recording on their phone website or post it online. Driving 40 minutes for a closed gate was very frustrating.
Patrick Silverthorn: Kinda pricey but you also pay for the experience. They had a great selection of trees and the family had a good time. Donuts and cider were amazing and fresh. Lots of helpers on staff to show you how it works. 10/10 experience
Jessica M.: We've been getting our Christmas tree every year for the past 5 years. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Troy Anderlie: Friendly staff, great service and fair prices. I can't wait to go back every year!!
Paula Sanford: Terrible looking trees and WAY to expensive !
Charles Stuart: Open and good for pandemic procedure. Not an inexpensive tree, but you can choose your own from several species, and have it ready to take home quickly. You cut it down yourself using a provided saw.
David Swaim: This a yearly tradition. Always a great selection if you get there early.
Shanan Thode: Prices are kinda high and they never have purple wreaths but I was happy to see distancing and masks especially outdoors..

Addison Oaks Christmas Tree Farm: what do users think?
Andrew Perry: Shame on you Addison Oaks Christmas Tree Farm!!!!London and her friend went to look at trees and snapped a few photos on their phones (like teenage girls do!!!) They were approached by a man on a tractor who demanded that they pay $35 for taking photos in the tree farm. There was no posting to state this is a policy and there is nothing on their website to confirm this to be the case. He followed them to the front and made them pay the money.Anthony just called them and asked about their policy. The woman claims that they charge PHOTOGRAPHERS $35 to use the property for photo shoots. As a photographer, I get that.We are talking about two teenage girls with a cell phone. I see a huge difference here. The woman on the phone kept repeating that they charge PHOTOGRAPHERS $35.My daughter and her friend felt robbed and threatened and are both really upset. So be careful folks. If you are out shopping for a tree at Addison Oaks and you take out your phone to take a photo, you may get hit for an extra $35 bucks!!!! 😡🤬 SHAMEFUL.I, for one, will take my business elsewhere.
Kelli Harmala: Frank and Kathy have been so helpful this year to us. We first had our engagement pictures done in property in July and Kathy is putting together garland for our wedding reception December 17. They have a beautiful Christmas tree farm! Very nice people and so helpful. We will be getting our first Christmas tree from them this year as well.
Gaspare Mesi: Got there with my 3 yr old 17 month old and my wife, used a buggy walked around 15 mins cut that bad boy down got it shaken and wrapped payed and got help loading and the nice kid tied it to the top of my car and we were out by 30 mins great experience and that blue spruce tree was only $68!! Thanks I’ll be back next year
Alex McMall: Lost power, no backup generator? C’mon
Mary Cohoon: Very expensive!!! I took the tag off in front of the tree shaker person and he proceeded to lecture me that it was his job to do that. Older man (owner) and his wife are not friendly at all. If you want any sort of Christmas experience- DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
Joseph Johnson: Very nice trees a bit pricey but top quality with great staff!
Anthony S: My family and I have been coming to Addison Oaks Christmas tree farm for years. Well worth the drive and visit. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great range of Christmas trees from budget friendly to large exotic trees if that fits your preference. Bring work gloves and a tape measure to help when you cut your own tree down.
Jim Coan: Trees are way overpriced. They cost double to triple what they should. Disappointing to say the least. It's not somewhere I would recommend or ever go back to.
Natalie Fowler Hains: Beautiful farm!
Chelsea Parker: Great place to cut your own tree. Nice service and prices are ok.
Savannah VanPamel: Nice place, but be willing to pay up to $300 for a horrible, scrawny tree. As well as pay a separate fee to have them wrapped.
Sarah Stephens: Stay away from this place not the Christmas experience you are hoping for. It looks like others have had the same problems we did. Wish we had read the reviews ahead of time. He also accused our family of switching the tag on the tree trying to get more money out of us. Over paid for our tree as it was. Dull saw and not a great atmosphere.
Aaron H: Used to be really good selection, but prices were high. Now, selection has gone down and prices have skyrocketed! We paid almost $300 for a roughly 12ft. tree last year. The owner gave us a story about how good trees were in short supply causing prices to go up. While a nice tree, it kind of killed the holiday spirit. We went early this year and found a really nice 12ft. tree at another farm for $75. I can see that we were getting ripped off the last 5 years.
Heidi Pope: We love Addison Oaks Christmas Tree farm. The owner is extremely friendly and always welcoming to our family. A great selection of trees every year!
Jonathon Springer: The owner accused my family of taking a price tag from a cheaper tree and putting it on the tree we cut down. She then lied about the tax, and then didn’t want to wrap/shake the tree for us. Quality of trees have gone down, overpriced, and very unprofessional saying we changed the price of the tree. (Tree was tagged for $149, and she said it should be for $169/179), over $30 you’re going to accuse my entire family of taking a tag from another tree, and then bringing a stapler to re-tag it? Very unprofessional and this was our 5/6th year there, we no longer will be going there with my family.
Kevin Seigneurie: Ridiculous to be charged so much for a tree. There prices are so inflated! I usually go to Blake’s and get an 8’ top of the line tree and it’s $80 usually! There a rip-off!
Renee Campbell: Horribly overpriced. $189 for a 6 foot tree that i could have got from Blakes for $70. Terrible selection as well. We will never go back.
Jen Williams: Such a beautiful tree farm, with the nicest staff. However, the trees are SO overpriced and not the greatest quality. The only tree we could find under $100 was 3ft. The most decent 6 ft tree was $145, and it wasn’t that beautiful. We saw one tree that was completely bald on the bottom of one side for $119.We had a little drive to get here, so it was disappointing that we left empty handed. I don’t want to pay so much for a tree we will only have for one month (again, not the best looking trees either.)We ended up returning to a family owned tree farm in Dexter (Westman’s Tree Farm.) We got the most beautiful, full, 7 ft tree for $70. It’s gorgeous! They also wrap and help load up the tree for free.
Paul Kosciolek: 2 stars because they have Fraser firs which are nice but when they are double the cost of anywhere it sort of ruins the Christmas spirit. I'll go back to Candy Cane next year. $145 for a 7ft tree is crazy and didnt see any tagged under a hundred.
Shannon Schermerhorn: Everything was perfect! All four of us decided on our family Christmas tree and the TAG price was a great deal. We cut down tree, had it shaken, drilled, wrapped, PAID for and LOADED up in the truck!! We all were admiring and joking about the height of our "Doozie". When the elderly gentman asked where we cut it down and the TAG price, mind you he took the tag and cashed me out! I told him, and he said, "I hate to ask you, but the price that you had paid must have been last year's price tag. If I had priced it out this year it would be......." $100 more than what we had already paid!!! Then proceded to ask me for MORE MONEY, but WHATEVER I thought was fair!!! Again, the tree had been already paid for already and LOADED up in the truck!! He had given his justification on why the tree was mis priced, BUT would you pay more for something at a store AFTER you already paid for it?? Needless to say, the only bill we had on us was $20, gave it to him, and told him we were not going to write another check (they only took cash or check) and wished him a Merry Christmas.Workers were beyond helpful, polite, funny and very nice.
Alexis Frisch: Great selection. A little pricey but we thought it was worth it for the tree quality
