Dave Walker: Not sure why / how no ones reviewed the Berkley public safety department yet, but I’m happy to say I’ve been in the area for decades and have never had anything but good experiences with them! Great response times when it’s important and also just helpful in general. Additionally I know people with kids that say the Berkley team goes above and beyond to build and encourage good relationships with them! Thanks

Lauren Teal: I appreciated dispatch and the Black Officer for speaking with me as if I am a citizen. The other officers were extremely rude and disrespectful,all because I told one of them that I felt unsafe because he instantly began yelling at me. I don't have drama with the police but I don't care for police officers that lie and argue. That's just disrespectful, and this is why I never liked Oak Park or respected it as a city for minorities. I'm glad to see that there is finally a black officer and a woman dispatcher on the team, but the white police force hasn't changed in 6 years with how they disrespect people. For that, I will never spend another dime on this city, and I hope that they learn to respect people of all races, colors, and creed. The city and people needing help.isnt just for white people only. It should be for everybody. I'm letting the mayor and the governor know about the discrimination I faced tonight.

Marie's Spiritual Insights: Today I was extremely shaken from a car accident in Oak Park. A woman rear ended me pretty hard. When I walked into the police station, Officer Zarfl walked up to the window and took care of me. When I say that he took care of me he really and truly did. He completed the police report expeditiously. He was kind and when I asked questions, he made me feel so much better. I just want to give thanks to him for showing the extra professionalism, wamth and concern. We need more people like him in the world. Marie

Scott Mason: Apparently police in Oak Park can arrest someone for whatever they want. Civil rights don't mean anything to them. Arrested a gentleman in a public building just because management didn't want him there. It's amazing to me how little these "law enforcement" officers know about the law.

pairs brooks: I visited the police station today. I am 9 months pregnant, and I didn't know how to properly install or remove my child's car seat. I had been struggling and watching YouTube videos for days. I went into the police station and asked for assistance. Officer Charder (I think that's how you spell her name) came out to assist me. She was very nice and professional. She spent ten minutes with me in the parking lot securing the car seat. I am thankful!

Rasky Bukowski: I think they're great. I've spoken with them on two occasions, one time after 3 a.m. even, and they were extremely helpful.

Tiffany Logan: Officer Lawless should NOT be a police office,he is rude he kept cutting me off when I was talking. Someone hit my car from the back and he gave me a ticket and didn't give the tow truck driver a ticket I think it was because I'm BLACK

You kept us Informed without causing hysteria which was quite a feat when we were surrounded by a heavily armed swat team. I am so relieved that this was resolved without injury to anyone. That took patience and understanding of someone with mental health issues who was a threat to himself as well as others. Jasper Belen (inkwriter): Always prompt and ready to serve, even in the instances when I don't want them to. I feel bad that they respond awfully quickly to false alarms when my security system messes up sometimes. However, they have not done much followup on some legit cases; twice I have had my van broke into and twice I reported it, but I have not received much followup or calls concerning the reports we filed. So I'll never know just who keeps trying to break in.
