Donte Lewis: SSG Brooks is one hell of a recruiter. Very patient and helpful and wanting the best for those who come his way.
David Logan: SSG Brooks has been there every step of the way for my grandson, I would highly recommend anyone to join the national guard through SSG Brooks.
Mia Longoria: Trustworthy recruiter
Quinn Krause: If you are thinking of going into the military the national guard is the way to go. And if you want to go into the national guard SSG Brooks is the best recruiter you can get. He was there every step of the way and even after I enlist I still see and talk to him on a regular basis. He is helping me get promoted before I even go to basic training. I cannot say enough nice things about SSG Brooks. If you are even considering going into any branch of the military please at least meet with SSG Brooks.
D'Lawrence Williams: This organization truly looks out for the people. I have achieved a Bachelors and Masters degree will being a part of this awesome branch for service members.
Sienna Hill: My recruiter is Sgt Brooks who was formally introduced to me through Sgt Thibodeau. Enlisting into the Army National Guard was a smooth process because I had a great recruiter who participated in every step, ensuring that my enlistment process was taken care of as well as if I was comfortable during the entire process. I'm glad that I enlisted through this recruiting office.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Detroit: what do users think?
Kimberly Hudson (Kimm H.): I love it here! Ive been coming here for as long as i can remember! The access on/off is easy with the correct credentials. The guards are very professional.
Keith Phillips: I was stationed here from 1981 to 1984.
Steve Kirkland: My main purpose for going to the base was to access the Post Exchange, Access is limited to active, retired or totally disabled military veterans and one must have valid ID to gain access. Once there I found the prices on most commodities to be well below retail. If you want groceries the place to go is the commissary at Selfridge AFB on the East side, but for small purchases this is a good bet.

US Coast Guard Recruiting: what do users think?
Adam Galindo: I work closely with recruiters from all branches of the military, when I say Officer Minutello is the best recruiter I’ve worked with I mean it. The man is straight to the point, has good analogies of the comparison between branches, informational, and is overall a great dude. With his office being in Detroit and I working in Grand Rapids, he has not been able to do a face to face presentation yet. However, his presentations are by far the best compared to the face to face presentations that happen on our campus. Again, he is simply the best.
Jude _Minich: I just graduated bootcamp recently with Petty Officer Minutello as my recruiter. I don’t think I’d be where I am if it weren’t for the dedication he put into getting my medical waiver cleared and the preparation he gave me. Petty Officer Minutello answered every question I had and always kept me updated on the process. He’s a caring person and always wants what’s best for his recruits. I’m very thankful to have him as a recruiter.
Flint Erander: This place will properly prepare you to join the coast guard, tell you exactly what to expect & how you can go through the MEPS process & basic training successfully. And when the recruiters tell you to hop into the process immediately PLEASE LISTEN TO THEM. The same thing happened to me & my recruiter told me for months to get started with it
Scott Martzke: When our son elected to join the USCG, AET1 Minutello was assigned as his recruiter. AET1 Minutello is amazing. He guided our son down a MOS path, spoke only the truth, gave him a well-rounded perspective of what to expect, and kept in constant contact with him prior to boot camp. We are nothing but impressed with AET1 Minutello and his professionalism as a USCG recruiter. We are blessed our son was assigned to him and proud of both of them in help our son decide where and how to serve his country. AET1 Minutello's encouragement and sincere caring about our son's future directly resulted in our son's acceptance into the USCG. Thank you and God Bless.
Jared Martzke: I decided I wanted to follow my dream and join the Coat Guard. Vincent was the most accommodating Recruiter’s I have ever seen.He always responded to text and calls no matter the time or day. He helped guide me through the steps and gave me reassurance when I doubted myself and has done the same all the way up to the day of leaving for boot camp. He met me on my birthday and I signed my contract. And he was very thorough with answering questions and helping guide me to finally follow my dream.I would not have wanted anyone else to help me through this.
Daniel Gallagher: Thanks to the wonderful assistance of Petty Officer Vincent Minutello my experience enlisting in the Coast Guard has been very informative and painless. He helped me to take my career aspirations and direct them into opportunities serving in the US Coast Guard. Above all he's a very transparent and honest recruiter and I would highly recommend anyone direct their questions to him.
Elite-Sniper674: Petty Officer Minutello was my recruiter and I just graduated and he helped me out a lot in my transition and even answered all my wife's questions and worry couldn't ask for a better recruiter
Arturo Herrera: My Recruiter Vincent Minutello is my recruiter he did an amazing job with getting me mentally prepared and made sure I had all of the knowledge I needed before basic training. If I could relive the time I walked into the office I would!! He’s a great person!! Thank you V/R Petty officer Minutello.
Troy LaVaque: I recently joined the Coast Guard through my recruiter, Petty Officer Minutello, and you cannot find a better recruiter in any branch than him. Anytime you have a question about anything on the paperwork you have to fill out, Petty Officer Minutello was there to answer it or find the answer for you on the off-chance he didn't know it already. He is also the only recruiter that I have ever heard of making calls to his recruits in the days before they leave for basic training, just to ask if everything was OK and to make sure you were still ready and willing to go.
james ongie: I don’t know where to even begin. Petty officer Minutello was hands down the best recruiter that I had encountered with. He helped me make the commitment to sign the dotted line, and pursue the Coast guard. He was there every step of the way, always checked in on me to see how I was feeling, and was never a stranger. He doesn’t lie to you about how things are, he tells it straight forward which is what really helped me. Im glad that I had petty Officer Minutello help me through the process of enlisting.
Xena Berger: I just graduated from Coast Guard basic training and the process to get to this point was extremely smooth thanks to Petty Officer Minutello. There is a lot that goes into signing up an individual to join the Coast Guard and Petty Officer Minutello was on top of it all. He was very knowledgeable not only about the Coast Guard but also about the paperwork that had to be completed for my entrance into the service. Even though I’m graduated from basic training, he still reaches out to make sure that everything is going smoothly in regards to my first unit. Petty Officer Minutello is an amazing recruiter and I encourage all who are interested in joining the Coast Guard to reach out to him.
Maude Soller: Petty Officer Minutello was my husbands recruiter, he offered us the most honest information he could. I had 101 questions and he happily answered every single one of them. My husband is now in bootcamp and he still stays in touch. I couldn’t be more grateful as a wife to be able to have such a comforting recruiter. I honestly can’t thank him enough.
Seth Mattson: Petty Officer Minutello was great! You always will be told you can't trust recruiters but I can say he didn't lie and I got everything I asked for!
Jerry B: Petty Officer Minutello was my son's recruiter. He is hands down one of the best recruiters I have met (I was an Army Officer). He was there when ever I or my son had a question, took his own personal time to talk to my son encouraging him, checking up on him, and in the NCO way...mentor him. He even checked in once a week while my son was in basic training. Recruiters are the face of the service they represent and Petty Officer Minutello's service and dedication to recruiting reflects well on the U.S. Coast Guard. Thank you for everything.
Jordan Steis: Becoming a Coast Guardsman is something earned, but not given. If you are lucky, your recruiter might be named Petty Officer Minutello, an outstanding person who is honest, professional, and knowledgeable. Or, in other words, he is honorable, respectful, and has devotion to duty.I’ll miss our conversations.
Kelly Lapine: My daughter enlisted in the Coast Guard within the past 4 months. Her recruiter was Petty Officer Minutello. Our experience was excellent. In general, we found PO Minutello to be very candid. We were kept informed every step of the process. Petty Officer Minutello was available to answer questions and even was able to provide some clarity for us while our daughter was in basic training. He has checked in on our daughter and us, as a family, even through her arrival to her first duty station. It has been my experience that other recruiters have not been as supportive and motivating as Petty Officer Minutello.
Ethan “ALL2WHEELED” Gibson: Recently joined the Coast Guard through my recruiter Petty Officer Minutello. He did an incredible job. As a prior service Marine the joining process was much more involved, however he was there each step of the way. He was professional, knowledgeable and was always available to help in any way he could. If you have any interest in the Coast Guard, don’t hesitate to reach out to the staff of recruiting station Detroit.
Gwen Lapine: Super helpful and honest! Truly a great guy I feel I can trust and ask any questions I have!
Sean Dickens: I went through Petty Officer Minutello. Throughout the process, he was nothing but helpful, reassuring, straightforward, and above all, accessible. I had a difficult recruitment process. It was very unclear as to whether I'd get accepted because of some medical history- and nonetheless, it felt like I had an advocate. He's definitely the kind of guy you want in your corner, and I'm certain the process would have been more challenging without him. Can't recommend him enough.
Kris Hilbert: I can not say enough good things about Petty Officer Minutello. He was real and down to earth about everything, never made my son feel pressured to join, and when he decided the Cost Guard was what he wanted, Vince made the joining process so easy. He was in constant contact with my son the months leading up to his ship date. The evening before my son left he went into panic mode, and Vince was on the phone with him at 10:30 at night talking to him and calming his nerves. All during bootcamp he would check in with my husband and I to see how we were doing, and if we had any updates about our son. He called our son on graduation day even though he was on vacation himself. And now months later he still checks in with our son to see how he is doing. He is the real deal!We did talk to other recruiters from other branches, and I can tell you Petty Officer Minutello is one of a kind, and was a major piece of the puzzle as to why he chose the Coast Guard! We would highly recommend talking to him if you are thinking of joining! As well as highly recommend joining the US Coast Guard!
Krusen365: I can’t recommend these guys enough! I went through Petty Officer Minutello to get enlisted and he made the process as easy as you could possibly imagine. He kept in contact with me almost daily and kept me up to date on each step and what we had to do next. He will help you fulfill your dreams of joining the Coast Guard and make it as simple as possible. He has still kept in contact with me even after boot camp just to see how things are going and to see my progress. Couldn’t have asked for a better recruiter in my opinion and would 100% recommend using him if your looking to enlist.
