Sofía Syntaxx: Calling all Michiganders and Michigander expats: check out this cute "up north" themed cafe (IYKYK).Crossing the threshold to this shop feels like turning off I-75 at exit 202: there are tons of details in the decor and the inventory that elicited plenty of nostalgic tingles in this displaced Detroit Yooper.The owner's husband (hooray for supporting woman-owned small businesses!) made a coffee for my friend and chatted with us about the products they have on offer, as well as the outdoor space in the back. It was a bit too chilly for us to take advantage of on this visit, but the outdoor lounge space seems like it would be fabulous in warmer weather.Couldn't leave without grabbing a pastie - my only regret is that I didn't get two. Ope, guess I will just have to head back again soon...

Mark S: Orphaned by another coffee roaster, I went in search of some new places to try. Found Deer Camp and decided to try it out. I was not disappointed. One of the nicest families you'll ever meet. Knowledgeable about their craft. Great place to hang out (company name checks out).Oh, and their coffee...it's fantastic. Smooth and delicious. No "bitter" or "burnt" taste. Works well for coffee, espresso, or even cold brew. If you're looking to support local at a good price and great taste, make sure to check them out!

Richard Gilliland: Stopped by this store looking for Michi-gummies, and I found so much more. It's a very Michigan fusion of coffee shop plus outfitter. Lotsa great stuff for the coffee lover (premium beans that are roasted on site) and fans of the outdoors (hunting and camping accessories). On top of being a cool store, Tony the owner made me feel at home in his store, and is by far the most hospitable proprietor I've ever encountered.

Our socks were knocked off , like no joke we tried the New Years coffee and it instantly became my number one fav. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Nitty Gritty Pit Stick2: Cannot HANDLE how good the coffee is! A trip to this store is like a tiny little getaway up north. They have stuff for men, women, hunters, kids, etc. You walk in and almost forget you're in Sterling Heights! Major props to the owners... they're so nice and you can tell how much they LOVE to support Michigan small businesses. Good place to buy gifts, too.

Melissa Barnett: This place is always amazing. A hidden gem. I was just here today with a friend I haven't seen in ages. We were talking and talking and hadn't realized they had closed. We finally realized how quiet it was. When i asked if they were closed the owner (who is such a sweetheart) just said yep we're closed, but we're just here working anyway so it's no problem. Bless her heart... It's so nice there are still places in the community like this. And seriously their coffee and baked goods are phenomenal which is why I bring everyone here!

Nitty Gritty Mama: Such a wonderful, cozy local coffee shop. Bet quiet and quaint. They have such a wide assortment of baked goods! I had a latte and my 3-year-old had a bagel with cream cheese. We played a giant tic-tac-toe game and just sat. I will definitely be back to this hidden gem! I especially appreciate the many different sugar-free flavors they have for coffee. Prices are very reasonable too.

I reached out to the owner, who couldn't be nicer or have a better work ethic for his business and employees, and he resolved the situation with such grace and style, that I came back and had a great experience. Lauren Alison: I love this place so much and wish I lived closer so I could visit it more often. Their iced latte is one of the best I’ve ever had.I recently ordered beans from them and the customer service was phenomenal. After placing my order they let me know that their was a delay in their shipment and the delivery would take a little longer than expected. They were so kind and sent over two bags of coffee to try in the meantime. I didn’t even mind waiting and was blown away by the customer service. I seriously love this place.

Josh Denzler: This is a place for coffee purists. If you are happy with black coffee, or coffee with just cream/sugar, this is the place for you. The coffee is of the utmost quality, but they don't have any flavor syrups and are missing most of the offerings of your typical coffee shop. It comes down to personal preference, and for me, if I'm going to a coffee shop I want a variety of options on flavors and add-ins. If I wanted plain coffee, I'd just make it at home.

Victoria Cook: Brewing & roasting is an art. I respect that. I ordered a vanilla latte w oatmilk. No flavor syrups are available. Ok. I take that to mean that the flavor of your coffee is so magnificent that it needs no flavor. I purchased what tasted like hot oatmilk, there was no shining star of coffee to be found though. Chazzano, if you brew to just your tastes you should make coffee at home. If you open a coffee shop you should provide what the public would like. Given that I couldn't taste the coffee you may want to invest in a syrup or two. I love coffee and visit all the small shops. Sadly I was so incredibly disappointed you will not be in the rotation.

Frank the owner is very personable and attentive and will help you find a great coffee for your personal taste. This is their relocation spot in Berkley and it looks better than ever.
