The gentleman working there was very helpful in explaining what we had and in turn purchasing them from us. I would recommend this shop to anyone who knows nothing about coins, but also those to that are avid collectors. They had a wide variety of coins in the shop.

Silver King87: Daniel's coins Used toSell their silver at $2 To $3 over spot.But now they are selling their silver for $10 over spot. Now that things are back to normal everyone elses premiums came down back to normal so there premiums should not be this high still. There is no silver shortage any more. Daniels coins should do the right thing and lower there premiums back to normal like everyone else. Its a shame because i would much rather buy from them rather than online but i cant afford to because there still charging outrageous prices. If physical silver is that valuable to them right now and there going to charge $10 over spot then they should be paying the customers at least $5 over spot when they come in to sell to Daniel but thats not happening. I feel like there taking advantage of the situation a bit wich is a shame because other than that Daniels coins is great. They are very attentive and have a nice selection of stuff. I hope they do the right thing and lower there premiums so us hard working guys can buy from them in person again and if not then at least pay people over spot when they sell to them

The guy inside was an older guy and I showed him the coins but with held the part about the appriasing that I had of the coins, he barely looked at the coins said that they are all fake didn’t even stay in the store for 2 minutes when we walked in and he wasn’t even friendly or and very unprofessional and unknowledgeable of the coins and I quote “I don’t know anything about these coins and I’m assuming that this coin is fake as well” if u want a real person to help u go elsewhere if u come here u won’t be happy with the customer service that they give to all there customers

But I’m so glad we saw so many good reviews and came in.The owner has been in the business for a long time, and he’s getting older so he’s not as chatty as some of the other resale shops on Van Dyke, but he’s a busy man and in demand.The shop is a gem. His collection is truly amazing. Great selection of 1 oz gold coins and other commodities and he also has some very unique items from American and Michigan history.If you love collecting and buying coins, give him a shot.

However, I was looking for older collectible pieces and was told all the good stuff that comes in goes straight to his established clients. No problem with that at all. That is what happens when you build up a business and clientele. Disappointed there were none left over for me though! haha

Mike answered all my questions about some Silver American Eagles I had purchased elsewhere. They looked a bit different but Mike assured me they were both Brilliant Uncirculated. Very informative. Pat even liked the one better. Pat was having a great day too, he was joking about how Mike sprung some really beautiful toned silver coins on him that he just had to have now! I think these two guys are great. They run a clean operation. Great shop on the 3rd floor of the Comerica building. Highly recommend. 5 stars for these guys. Keep up the good work gentleman.

These guys are great to chat with, they took the time to educate me and were also honest. For example, I was going to buy some silver eagles, and they told me premiums are so high that it might make sense to consider another coinuntil things settle down in the future. I have always felt I got a fair deal; and have found their prices consistently lower than any online store I check for similar products. I make a 30 minute drive out of my way to go there now versus other shops that are closer because I trust them.

Richard Fitzwell: BEWARE! VERY SHADY BUSINESS!!!! I Do NOT recommend CranBrook Coin and Jewelry! They will Rob You Blind! I would give them 0 stars if I could. My elderly mother went into their shop with some jewelry and loose diamonds that she wanted appraised because she was thinking of selling some of them in the future for a charity she works with and wanted to know their worth. They graded the diamonds and jewelry Much, Much lower than they should have been! We had the diamonds GIA certified a year earlier, although my elderly mother didn't remember. We still had the certifications upstairs in the closet near the safe. These diamonds were stored individually in a closed jewelry box inside of a safe and were never taken out or handled. CranBrook Coin and Jewelry tried to convince my mother that the diamonds and jewelry were extremely low in value and then tried to peer pressure her into selling the items to them at a rock bottom price. They told her that they would give her the best pricing and their offer would expire at 5:00pm that day. My mother was about to sell them because they told her she wouldn't find a better deal and if she didn't do it today, they would revoke their offer. They also said that the value of gold and diamonds was supposed to drop heavily at the end of the week. Luckily my wife had called my mother, while she was still in the shop, found out about the situation, and told my mother to get the jewelry and diamonds back and to go home because they are worth about $38,000. The CranBrook Coin and Jewelry offered her $980. My wife and I went over to my mothers that evening and showed my mother the GIA certifications and explained again what everything was actually worth. We now have each diamond sealed with each GIA certification. We also had a couple of the jewelry items appraised for my mother. One of her broaches that she had got from my father, when he was still alive, was faberge and worth thousands! CranBrook Coin and Jewelry told her the jewels in the broach were fake, costume jewelry. We were so mad, we called CranBrook Coin and Jewelry but were immediately hung up on after referencing the situation with my mother. I don't know how CranBrook Coin and Jewelry can sleep at night while robbing customers! STAY FAR AWAY FROM CRANBROOK COIN AND JEWELRY, THEY ARE LIARS, VERY DECEIPTFUL, AND WILL ROB YOU FOR THEIR OWN GAIN!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED IN ANYWAY!!!!!!

Cris Salamango: I stopped in for the first time this morning. I arrived at 11:30 and observed prominently on the front door a sign which said back at 12. It is now 12:30 and the place is closed. I also called the phone number prominently listed on the door which says call for an appointment. I called the number and hung up after nine rings. They say time is money and this visit is wasting my time. During my one hour wait in the parking lot multiple customers came and went. At this time I will take my business elsewhere.
