Continental Canteen: what do users think?
Motown Bandito: The machines are way overpriced, and more than half of the time the card readers do not work. The coffee machine hardly ever works and is nasty, and the machines are improperly stocked.
Reim Nassir: I used one of their vending machines and got charged $5 for a bag of chips. Never using ever again!!! Scammers I don’t know how they’re still in business
Joshua Henson: Machine is down again. Card reader took my money (verified with Bank) and never spit anything out. So much for the refund gaurentee.
Brian Ross: Fabulous work place!
Chad Smith: Poor quality machines barely work
John Mccluer: Out of date food, machines not working for months on end, refunds not being given at lol and being over charged when using a card. This is one of the worst vending companies out there. Luckily we have a gas station next door.
Tyler J: Tried to apply here a few months ago, told me they'd call me back with a time to interview. Never received any call from them. Called them multiple times, still no call back. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate people.
S G: Got scammed by the machine. The bag of chips did not come out and stopped. Machine too heavy to shake. Very old machines that do not work properly.
TJ: Multiple plant locations are always having problems. People are losing money!!!!
B B: Pack a lunch. Poor quality at a high price.
John Evans: I work at the Detroit news. 3.50 for a 20oz Coke. Last time I use any of these machines! But I'm sure it's just a glitch!!!!! I'll be letting my fellow co-workers know. But when your the only machines in the building you can get away with this!
Richard Abston: I was visiting AK Steel in Dearborn where they have vending machines. Used the pop machine once, then the snack machine once. I ended both sales. Now, a few days later, I look at my bank account, and I am being charged for 3 sales??? Can't call because all day long, I tried, and it goes to a voicemail for a lady named Samantha with a full mailbox. I am wondering if I should file a police report on the matter now??
Roln20S: Machines will charge you without giving you your soda, 9 times out of 10 product will be expired:/ garbage company
Ghost: Take good care of their drink machines, food machines could use a little care.
TheShadow Pony: Horrible service and rude employee

The Continental at Ford House: what do users think?
Cherie Thurner: Waitress was wonderful. View is lovely. Grilled cheese was toast not grilled with dab of cheese and rind. Potato fries were burnt cold and rubbery. Onion soup was ok lacked seasoning. Is this soup really vegetarian as listed?
howard scrivens: Nestled inside the visitors center on the immense grounds of the Edsel Ford house, ( he was Fords only son just an FYI), is the small bistro restaurant The Continental. Named after the iconic car , it not only shares beautiful styling and ambience but quality.Fresh season fare served daily, we enjoyed a well stocked brunch menu and dined on fresh coffee and my date had a simosa. ( eventually)The food was fresh and hot, our one major sticking point. they took away from the experience was our waiter who just found t seem to be found and when we did ask questions he was uncertain about most menu items and blatantly left out any mention of special dishes or drinks.Thankfully there were other staff around to pick up his slack. The dining room was cozy and contemporary, with a modern yet comfortable vibe.We dined on delicious popovers and when our lead did arrive , we were delighted with the Shakshuka, ( Look it up) and a delicious black bean burger.Fairly priced for what you get and it surroundings , definitely worth a shot, just make sure you get a good server.
LP Franks: Always good! Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. Out of town guests are always impressed. My grandchild is well behaved and always made welcome. French onion soup is appropriately cheesy not a dieter’s nightmare of cheese. Delicious. Strawberry rhubarb cobbler with vanilla gelato also really good. We have vegetarians, omnivores & picky eaters, all are happy here😎 BTW: the fries are real potatoes cut & fried. Just scrumptious if you were raised on real, not fast food fries. My mom’s were good, Rocket Eddy’s in Keego Harbor when Julie owned it were good, and the Continental is bringing back real fries. Yay!
Jaclyn Litwinczuk: Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lotMore
April C: You are essentially paying for the location; the food is decent at best. It’s just not fine dining. I’ve been to this restaurant four times now, each time hoping that the food would be better. Nearly all of the dishes I’ve tried have been bland. You should expect to be there for the beautiful Ford property, but not a delicious meal. If you’re a foodie looking for a quality menu, you might what to pass this one up.Each of the four times I’ve been to this restaurant, the menu implied something different than what was actually available. That part was frustrating, but not as frustrating as bland food for which you’re paying higher prices. Really bummed! The interior design is nice though, and the bathrooms are immaculate.
Deanna Saleh: Service is excellent. The salmon is great and there’s always a delicious vegetarian option available.Recommended dishes Salmon Dinner, Home Fries Dietary restrictions accommodated Vegan, Gluten free …More
M. B.: We did not have reservations, and we were told we could still order off the menu but would have to sit outside. No problem there. It was not explained however that the food would come out to us in to-go containers and we would eat w/ prepackaged plasticware. The food itself was mediocre at best: popovers are bland, calamari was bland--had to ask for a dipping sauce (also bland), chicken pot pie was literally just the filling of a pot pie served in a to-go paper soup container--no pie, crust, breading whatsoever (should just be called stew, not pot-pie), strawberry salad w/salmon came with a strange milky poppy seed dressing and 4 small slices of strawberry. I'm not sure it can justly be named "Strawberry salad" when less than one strawberry was sliced to make it. The added salmon was ok. Overall, don't waste your time/money eating here. Better off going elsewhere for food after your visit.
Rich Vance: Always enjoy dinner here. Good food and a nice view of the lake

P. Powell: No personality. Simply put, bland. The service sub-par served with a side of indifference. My impression is that people visit - like us - expecting a rich feast based on the setting. Only to find museum food wrapped in a hoity-toity napkin of the past. There is better nearby dining for the price driving in either direction from the Ford House. Best to visit and go elsewhere to dine.

Jessica Honig: It was a really nice brunch experience. Not a fan of the popovers but I believe they are a Ford recipe or historical so that’s interesting to try. I got the French onion soup and it was very Smokey. I almost couldn’t eat it. I also got the charcuterie board which had a lot (too many) crackers and the selections were not my pace. But I will be coming back to try more!
Liz MacGIllis: We had the Duck Au Vin and the plating was beautiful, meat was delicious and our server allowed us to exchange grilled Brussels sprouts instead of mash. Superb. Our server Brittany was prompt, kind and big smile. We are members and we love coming here for brunch, lunch and dinner. Never a bad anything. Looking forward to seeing the renovations.Parking: Ample parking, well lit, handicap ramps.

Christine: Wonderful spot for a business lunch, get together lunch with the girls, date night, etc. There is also patio seating in the summer. I don’t eat gluten but I hear the bread is amazing!
John: Service: Friendly, polite and a little slow.Ambience: Comfortable atmosphere, warm and inviting with views of the property and the lake.Food: We both ordered the side salad to start for $11 each. The salad is disappointing with two grape tomatoes, a few shreds of romaine lettuce and a couple of croutons. Second course was mushroom soup which was watered down. Third course was the salmon, risotto and brussels sprouts. Salmon was a rather large portion and delicious. Risotto was bland and tasteless. Honestly, I don't usually like brussels sprouts, but these were fantastic.Overall: We would return, but we both were highly disappointed with the side salads and thought we were ripped off because of that.
