Secret Lover: No! Dr appeared to be knowledgeable but they want cash cash cash. Basically if you don’t pay cash for the extra service they won’t do a revision. So be mindful of that. The scheduler is a nasty , rude woman and she gives the office a bad name. She was also arguing with another patient the day of my consult. He needs more caring staff in Southfield. Unfortunately she’s going to cost him a lot of business.

carolyn Retzlaff: I liked Dr. Aviles very much and appreciate his being conservative regarding my episode of carpal tunnel syndrome. It has been very painful but the splints have helped. William Phillips: When I 1st had my consult for my surgery I was given tier 1 pricing for my insurance of Smart Health. It took me a year to get the insurance to approve part of the surgery and sometime between my consult & surgery date I was told the Dr. Went private. After paying $2,000 cash and another $1,000 toward deductiblei was hit with another $1,000 bill and told it was because the deductible was for tier 2 insurance. I feel I should've been informed of the tier 2 status before I had the surgery.The reason I went the insurance route was to save money & now I'm paying more in the end.As a disabled veteran this will be very difficult on me & my family to pay.

G. Raines: Our kids were playing tag in the house and our son tripped and hit his ear on a wooden dining room chair. It was apparent he would need stitches. When we arrived at Troy Beaumont's emergency room, the pediatric staff looked at our son's ear and said "we need Dr. Miguel". I had no idea who Dr. Miguel was but the staff was VERY confident he was the guy for the job. Dr. Miguel just so happened to be on-site and was at our son's bedside within 20 minutes. I had to leave our other kids at home with my husband so I was flying solo and making decisions about sedating our son. His ear was literally split on the inside from the middle to the top of the cartilage area. Dr. Miguel must have sensed my anxiousness, he acknowledged my feelings, explained what he would do and asked if I had any questions. He has a very calming and comforting demeanor. I was 100% comfortable entrusting my son to Dr. Miguel. The injury was pretty scary to look at, I just knew our son would be scarred for life and have a disfigured ear. After the procedure, Dr. Miguel met with me to provide after care instructions and paused to make sure I was ok. When I saw Dr. Miguel's stitchwork, I was floored! It didn't look anything like I imagined. If I didn't have before pictures I would not be able to recall the extent of our son's injury. At our 1 week follow up with Dr. Miguel, you could not tell that our son had an injury aside from being able to see dissolvable stitches. Within 2 weeks post-injury his injury was barely visible. Absolutely AMAZING!Dr. Miguel has truly blessed hands! If I ever need reconstructive work done, he is my guy! Our son was so happy because he is in elementary school and was worried about people staring at his injury. Instead, he kept hearing "your ear looks amazing!" It was a confidence booster while healing. Dr. Miguel is an absolutely amazing physician, has great emotional intelligence and has truly mastered his craft. He has made a positive impact on my family and for that, we are grateful.
