Fay A: Clearly a talented team, but take the following into consideration before signing a contract with ZJ and having them travel for your event. Here are the key points from my June wedding:- Minimal communication throughout the planning process, hard to get ahold of- Team made us change our entrance song the night before the wedding- Contracted DJ didn’t play any of the English songs we requested- DJ didn’t know how to pronounce our names upon entrance & asked us/family members multiple times, guests noticed when the DJ messed up- Paid for 4 drummers & was not informed ahead of time that the team could later assess if they only wanted 3 to enter us into the venue & on the floor- ZJ arrived late, pushing back our wedding entrance. They also walked directly through the venue in front of all the guests when given multiple hours in advance to set up backstage- Lack of support for transitions between events during the wedding, even after discussing the timeline many times

Jamal Alawi: The most stressful part of our wedding was working with Zaffet Joseph and their contracted DJ.I want to preface this review by saying that the team is very talented at what they do and kept the rhythm of the party going wonderfully.With that being said, there was a clear disconnect between the drummers and the DJ.Our initial wedding had to be rescheduled due to members of both sides of our families getting COVID a couple days before and there was not much sympathy from ZJ during this situation.Leading up to both the initial and rescheduled wedding, ZJ barely communicated with us about logistics and getting on a simple phone call took multiple weeks, if not months.They told us we could have the entrance song we wanted for many months, but not only until the evening before our wedding did they tell us we had to change the song because it didn’t have the beat they practiced with. In addition, we paid for four drummers on the dance floor but only three were performing. Joseph mentioned this was because “the venue didn’t allow it” but we verified with the venue and this was not true. We would have appreciated if this was communicated to us as a potential issue prior to the wedding.As for the DJ contracted to work with them, we asked for songs similar to the ones on our playlist…the Arabic songs were great, but we didn’t hear a single English song we added. We even asked for one song to be the final and then YMCA was played after that one? This did not fit the vibe we were going for as our guests exited the venue…Lastly, the DJ was quite brash with my mother in law and my event manager when they told him to lower volume and move his speakers so they weren’t directly behind elderly. He also asked me and my wife what our names were right before our entrance after we had been talking with him and the zaffa team for almost a year. Please proceed with caution before booking ZJ for your events.

Alexandra Lambertson: My husband and I celebrated our marriage in May of 2019. We originally had planned to make our own playlist and rent some speaker equipment for our wedding to help cut costs. A friend highly recommended hiring a DJ to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted out of our wedding night. Considering we love to party and dance (we even opted for the biggest dance floor we could find), we took her advice and shopped around. MBP was amazing to work with. They didn’t pressure us to select a certain package or include lots of upgrades. We even got the best deal out of anyone we talked to through them! Kyle was a great MC and kept the party going all night! I don’t think our dance floor was ever empty! He honored all of our special requests and helped rearrange the schedule when things didn’t go exactly as planned. We loved working with him and are so glad that we chose MBP to DJ our wedding! We highly recommend using them for your special event!

Benjamin Briskin: We hired Music Box for our wedding after hearing and seeing their amazing work at a friend's wedding. Fletcher was our DJ, and he was absolutely terrific! He was super conscientious about understanding our preferences and meeting our needs. He's both a great emcee and a great DJ. Everyone at the wedding (all age ranges) danced all night! We definitely recommend Fletcher & Music Box!

Cat Jarman: Let me begin, by saying we felt like we had a perfect wedding day, and were so pleased with all of our other vendors. However, I was very disappointed my husband and I decided to go with MBP Inc. for our music needs. The song for my husband and I to walk out of the ceremony began playing loudly before the officiant could even introduce us as husband and wife. Then, at our reception the DJ began playing remixes of very old songs no one could dance to. I finally asked one of my friends to go tell him to play something more similar to all our song requests and thankfully he changed it up. They have a nice online system that allows your guests to request songs, however it’s really just a waste of their time. Many people were disappointed that the songs they requested were not played all night. Especially my father, who had requested songs to dedicate to my mother. I am saddened that our guests and family felt excluded and wish that we had chosen another DJ company.We also had an issue with the DJ requesting access to our reception site hours before any of our other vendors, and then he failed to show up and utilize the space during the requested timeframe. Costing us an additional $100 fee for no reason. This complaint was brought to the attention of the management, but unfortunately they refuse to acknowledge their mistakes. For the prices they charge, I would highly recommend taking your money elsewhere.I would also like to point out, that at least one of the google reviews is written by one of their own employees, which seems dishonest on the company's behalf.

All the staff is super positive and willing to arrange things just the way you need it, even on the fly. Do you want a Wedding to remember? Also a Wedding that all your guest will remember too? Loving the Mommy Life: Fletcher was our DJ at our wedding this past saturday (he was accompanied by a second DJ, don't know his name). He did a great job at making sure our reception ran smoothly and also played the music for our ceremony. He was very helpful and easy to work with while planning the music for our wedding. He also did a great job at ensuring that everyone was having a good time and playing a variety of music. I would definitely recommend Music Box Productions, especially Fletcher, to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding!

Nicole Laing: I was extremely hesitant to use Music Box Productions at first, only because my grandparents recommended them to me. I thought, "how can they be so cool if my grandparents are recommending them?". Then I googled them, and came across their website, and spoke with the owner, Rod, who I hit it off with over the phone immediately. I explained the type of music my fiance and I liked and he suggested that I check out their DJ's online and call him back to let him know who I liked. Our top picks were Rod (who was booked on our wedding day, and Eric Wagner, because his opening song on his You Tube video was "Avicii-Feelings", MY FAVORITE SONG! Eric could not have been a better pick as the DJ for our wedding. He knew exactly what we wanted and totally felt out the vibe of our guests perfectly the entire night. Not only was he funny and engaging the entire evening, but also did a phenomenal job keeping the night moving along in a timely fashion. I received so many compliments from my friends and wedding guests on our music and DJ on our wedding day and after. I will continue to recommend this company for years to come. Thank you so much for making our wedding day perfect! You guys are AMAZING!!!

This was a big priority for us. He played all of the right music of our guests' age ranges and would cut to new songs with such smooth transitions. He truly kept the energy at a perfect level, played the songs we had requested, and mixed in some slow songs! Having a great DJ was really, really important to us as they essentially run your wedding reception and like we knew he would, Richard nailed it! Thank you, thank you, thank you for playing such a special and important role on our wedding day!

He made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. We had a reception entrance routine what we wanted and he did exactly what we requested! We received so many compliments about how personable he was. He made sure to talk to our families and was very good about picking up the vibes of the event. Overall I couldn’t speak more highly of Richard. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Zeya Yang: We’re so happy we worked with DJ Richard for our wedding. The music is obviously a huge factor for the dance floor vibes and Richard made it his mission to make sure everyone had a blast – and he succeeded wildly! Throughout the night and for many days after the wedding, guests were raving about how good the DJing was during the evening. For our must play songs, Richard knew all the remixes for them and worked them the perfect remix based on how the crowd the reacting at the time.Beyond the dance floor, Richard expertly managed all the sound throughout the day, from the ceremony to the reception to the toasts. There was also a chance of rain forecasted during the ceremony, and when we shared our contingency plans with Richard, Richard just said without hesitation that he was good to go with whatever plan we decided on. Truly a pleasure to work with.

Mia Deighan: We booked Richard from Michael's Entertainment back in 2020 before having to postpone our 2021 wedding due to COVID. Richard was responsive and helpful throughout the whole process despite our wedding being pushed so far out. Day of, if we had any questions or needed any adjustments/support with the timeline, Richard was always there. Needless to say, this company offers a lot more than just DJ services but he did have our group out on the dance floor all night!

He did an amazing job creating the perfect ambiance for cocktail hour and dinner, and transitioned flawlessly into the dancing portion of the evening.
