Polite staff, great selection of anything you want, trains, models, die cast, dollhouses, crafts etc. Yes, some prices have gone up because of the ridiculous inflation of 2022 but prices are far far better than the catastrophe in Flint. I'll keep shopping here.

Tyler McGonnell: This is by far the best hobby shop around. I have 3 stores within 4 miles of me and would rather drive the 15 to go to this store because I know I'll find what I want. If not I can quickly order it up, as they seem to have almost every connection you need in terms of model making. I do alot of table top stuff and have never had an issue getting any kit, paints or tools that I would need to making something.The service is good, they answer phone calls quickly and never have been rude to me even when they were slammed in the 11 years I've been shopping here.

If you sell a product and it's returnable it shouldn't be an issue. But oh boy was it. I had to come back 2 days in a row for them to return the amount. The store manager wasn't there and the man I spoke with told me to leave with no refund. I almost had to call the cops because I felt unsafe with the men who were responding like 2 year Olds over a product and store that they work at. WHO CARES ITS NOT LIKE I TOOK THE 700 FROM THEIR PERSONAL POCKET. and still. Not even an Apology. So I will continue to periodically leave reviews because this company is trash. Good luck if you need a return.
David Schneck: Only 4 out of 5 stars because they seriously need to change the name and the sign out front, as drones now appear to be only a tiny portion of their business. Great selection of ground vehicles that I've been missing out on, as the last time I visited it was all about drones. Worth a visit, whether you like drones, planes out vehicles.

The employees at Excel basically taught me a course on Fpv. They were great, im super greatful for all their help. The shop was low on inventory in some areas( why only 4 stars) but you get that anywhere you go these days.

I am not a fan of the other hobby shops as much in Oakland county but this one is great and the owner is awesome and knowledgeable of rc cars and willing to help. I would bring my son here if I had one. It brings me back to the RadioShack days of the 90s for RC cars! I am a big fan of seeing parts and measurements in person for customizing and online isn't always great for that but this place rocks. Bring your son's or daughter and get into the hobby, they're cooler than tablets. The bad reviews are not accurate of the shop or owner in my opinion
Danny Tiwaini: Won’t return a new batteries within 14 days of purchase. Bad return policy, should take care of your customers that patronize your locations. Other hobby shops have went above and beyond for any return issue for an accidental purchase. Not here, beware.REPLY: Actually, the batteries & charger were NEW as i said before, never USED. Additionally I did attempt to get to your location sooner but you guys close before your written hours on my first attempt. You should really get your facts from your employee before replying on google. I never once asked for a different brand. I wanted to exchange this for Traxxas batteries, i didn't want this specific charger anymore because originally your employee didn't tell me this was the slower of the Traxxas charger options, didn't know that til i opened the box. I wanted the faster charger (200W). That doesn't come in a kit with 2-3S batteries, learned that after i opened it, but never used it (battery & charger.)TLDR Staff could use training. 7 day return policies are a joke, store closed early when i tried to come in and missed "return period" Even Traxxas has a 30 day return period, as does Nankin Hobby shop!

In a world where Amazon can deliver everything this store sells in 2 days or less and at a significant discount it bewilders me that a brick and mortar store like this wouldn't at least try to do better. I won't bother trying to keep it local if they won't either. BTW yall have over 5 different options smaller than 1/18 listed on the website despite me being told "we only really carry 1/10 and 1/8 scale"
