From the state where I live, I called SSR Law and talked with Ben when my sister in Michigan was within 3 weeks of dying. She had no Estate plan. In a matter of days, Ben made 2 personal visits to her home and drew up the necessary legal documents, according to her wishes, to preserve her Estate for her heirs. D. R.: My family and I had an appointment with Ben for a free consultation to go over our concerns for our mother and getting guardianship over my father. In my opinion, he was very condescending, arrogant and not very friendly. He looked at us a few times like “ok, get on with the story” and tried to cut us short. I understand that it is a free consultation and we are taking up your time but all in all you want to feel like the person cares and is truly compassionate because this is a very sensitive matter. I don’t care if it takes up an hour of your day (for free). You could have a potential client and in the end you should feel good about helping others doing what you do. I walked away like I was “mansplained” to. I don’t know how the other few lawyers are here but unfortunately I was not impressed.
