Veterinary Emergency Service: what do users think?
Robin Jones: Don't take your pet here unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. Took our dog here and they did blood work and sent home with meds saying he might need to be hospitalized. He had a temp of 103!!! Didnt administer an antibiotic shot, a pain shot or insulin.... like hello, the dogs NOT eating, barely moving.. hes here for a reason. You think we can shove meals and meds down his throat while he's puking up even water? Just horrible. Was worse the next morning so took him in somewhere else who IMMEDIATELY put him on IVs and administered the medication he desperately needed via injection once he was hydrated and put in feeding tube.Paid $1400 for their garbage service and $3400 for the place hes hospitalized. Be aware!
Nate Cass: Dr sefron or whatever his name is has no idea what to do in an emergency service with an animal. My dog was having seizures and he tried to sell me eye drops for $70! I then asked many questions to find out that the eye drops have absolutely nothing to do with my dog having seizures. They then later told me I can just use regular eye drops. What a joke
Mary Van de Putte: I arrived in Metro Detroit from a cross country move, and not 24 hours later, I had to find an ER vet (my dogs got in a fight with each other, and one needed medical attention)As I read the reviews here, I think the people writing negative ones have never been to a human doctor - this is an EMERGENCY room. You will wait. Be thankful you're waiting.A man came in immediately behind me, and his dog looked very sick. They rushed her back, and left me and my dog in the lobby. That means my dog is safe, stable, and not in danger. That man didn't get to leave the hospital with his beloved dogYou can't go to a human physician and demand money back because your family member had a bad outcome. Why would vets do that? The staff members I encountered in my visit were kind, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to their patients and one another.I have been to ERs too many times to count with my own pets, and last night's visit was one of my best. I've never had my pet's medical records from an emergency visit IN MY HAND before leaving. My regular vet has already received my dog's medical report and followed up with me.The team at VES (east) is incredible.Thank you all for all the hard work you do in such a hostile marketThank you, VES3
Callisto Gornowich: They were able to fit me in 3 times, one for each of my pets, this past year. When I had called everywhere else even on a Sunday. Its handled quickly and kindly/professionally. they're very affordable. I'd recommend for any emergency.
Tyler Fletemier: Easter Sunday we woke up to find that our 1 year old Australian Labradoodle got into and ate all the pills out of an ibuprofen bottle (100 tablet, 200 mg each bottle we are guessing was half full) over the night. He vomited several times, was very lethargic, and had diarrhea. After speaking with poison control we rushed him over to Veterinary Emergency Services (VES).VES quickly examined our dog, consulted with poison control on the treatment plan, provided a detailed billing estimate, and began the appropriate treatment on our dog (fluids, meds, periodic vital checks, bloodwork every 24 hours)Throughout his 4 day stay, VES would answer the phone on the first ring and provide us great updates on our dogs condition and status at anytime of the day. Very friendly and accommodating staff! They also provided all the details to our primary vet, Maple Veterinary Hospital, in which our vet confirmed they were providing the appropriate treatment and same things he would be doing, really comforting us knowing that he was in good hands. Our little boy is now back home and continuing his path to a full recovery with medication and follow up visits to our primary vet for blood work.I know he would not still be with us if it wasn’t for the prompt and great care provided by VES on a holiday in which almost every other vet in the area was closed.I understand the situations and potential outcomes as we bring our pets in for emergencies, hence the negative reviews, but I would highly recommend VES if you are ever in a situation like we were.
D. RaPotter: Worst experience EVER!! Staff was only interested in getting your money and nothing about helping our dog. They said he was fine after doing a exam and x-rays and to come pick him up. Well our dog is not fine and are currently treated him for anxiety and stress that OUR veterinary figured out in one visit. We spent a lot of money at this Emergency Service and now are paying for it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE... Not a good idea, find another place even if it is farther away.
dave stewart: If there were zero stars I’d give it to them, DO NOT TAKE your pet here. Unless you don’t like your pet!
Shayna Goodman: Supposed to be emergency service but don't have a doctor in until 7pm how much help is that. Our dog needed help and is unable to get any because nobody is available.Just went to a different vet and found out it was what we even told them to look for . Was told it was pancreatitis and its a flipped stomach. He could've been saved if this place knew what they were doing. Its to late now his blood supply has been cut off.Dont take you animals here !
Lauren-Elise Brush: I understand that everyone's experience is different, but if I could give 0 stars I would and I will never take any of my animals here again. We took my 11 yr old Staffy in on Tuesday, because she had vomited 8 times in 24hrs, barely eaten or drank anything, was very lethargic barely moving, and had bloody stool. I informed the team I was aware she had mass cell tumors (but did not know how bad they had gotten). The dr called and gave a total of $800 something, I asked them to add something for pain (which ended up only costing an addition $70 something). He said she had "gastroenteritis increased liver enzymes." We go to check out and they provide a bill for more than $1200! All they gave her for pain was a single shot. Nothing to take home. The next day, I knew it was time her time. When we took her in to be put to sleep at a different location, we showed that vet the x-rays and immediately saw several things that were not normal. If I had known how bad it was, I wouldn't have kept her suffering on this earth 2 more days. My dog suffered in pain for 2 more days because these people didn't tell me how bad her condition was, and they tried to get an extra $400 out of us! Will NEVER come here again!
helloheaven12: Served very helpful and was the only place open near me- That is a huge plus in my book!Got the info I needed and they were very thorough
Word Writer: I've only been here once. The service was great. The problem I have with this place is...there is never a doctor there when you need one. How can you call yourself an emergency vet service if there is never a doctor to service emergencies??!! What's the point of being open 24 hours if you won't have a doctor until 6pm and it is currently 4am? Or the doctor only works 9pm-2am?? I really want to like this place but this is unacceptable and this has happened more than twice.
Kathy D: We had to rush our dog Sokka here last night at about 10:00pm due to accidental poisoning. There were a couple people in at the same time as us, but they were able to take him back for the initial examination while we finished filling out the paperwork, only a couple minutes after we arrived. They were really clear with what they were planning to do and gave an estimate of what it would cost which was very reasonable for a emergency visit and 12 hour hospital stay. Everyone was very nice and we appreciate the care they were able to provide! He is doing so much better today. Thank you!
Grease E. Monkey: Roughly 6 months ago we took our beagle, Queenie, to a different vet hospital and had a terrible experience. This time we took her to Veterinary Emergency Services and it was a 180° turn. Friendly, kind to our dog, and extremely affordable. We thank you for helping our pup and treating her and us right. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.
Janet Braunstein: I can't say enough about the kind, patient, and compassionste staff and the meticulous around-the-clock care that saved the life of my 10-week-old puppy. She had contracted a severe case of Parvo, which causes life-threatening dehydration in little puppies. We didn't have to wait to be seen. The efficient, professional care we received was worth every penny.
Stephanie Saville: I had to take my pup Charlie in for a bad pancreatitis flare up. I was scared and overwhelmed having never seen him act so sick from this disease before (he's had it a few years, but it's been manageable). Every staff person I talked to was so compassionate. Charlie had to spend the night and they reassured me I could check in as many times as I wanted, the Dr would be there all night and they were patient as I figured out payment. I got an updated call at 8 am the next morning and they patiently explained everything that occurred over night and scheduled a time for me to pick up my pup. When I got there, they spent at least 10 minutes answering all of my questions and explaining everything. I appreciate the staff taking the time to reassure me, show care for my 13 y/o pup, and take my concerns seriously.
Pam Golinske: Sadly It was the end of our dogs life. The staff was EXTREMELY kind and sympathetic. They truly could not have handled that any better. To top it off we got a thoughtful sympathy card a week later. Thank you for making an awful situation a little more bearable. ❤️
Shayla Weston: Nemo was brought in last night by a good Samaritan trying to save him from hell on earth. He had been shot and beaten and was left for two days to suffer before he was brought in. You had NO PROBLEM charging the lady who brought him in almost 1000.00 only to have him die when she got home. I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that the doctor didn't see how close to death he was and still charged this woman the money they did. Rest in peace Nemo! You were loved!
Pam Domengoni: They are AMAZING here! My 4 year old female blue pit had an allergic reaction on a Sunday morning and I called them and they said they could get her in immediately. They were so nice once I got there and she was in and out very quickly! Highly recommended in an emergency
Ronald Zielke: Took my gsd there, she wasn't eating, and had some difficulty breathing, one hour there,$960. Seemed better, next day, not, back again,$350 more, steroids, next day worst, they said she had virus, did x-rays,blood work all good. White blood count was a issue, later after steroids wore off, she's falling down. Take her to regular vet,had a softball size tumor in lungs, died in vets office. Caution on this office. Money seekers, preying on a sick pet. Not wanting a refund, but others should know. X-rays,don't show a tumor? Or if he said there was one, would you pay that?
LS: My 10 yrs old fur baby was sick. I was told she would need surgery for $3500 that I did not have. So, they sent we with med but they did not tell me she was ANEMIC so the $800 that I spenD was for x-ray and tests. When she needed FLUIDS IN HER BODY. DO NOT GO THIS PLACE.
Bruce: The lack of compassion at this place is insane. I brought my dog in tonight very sick. My dog Annie was always with me, never more than 5 feet away. I brought her in we knew she had to be put to sleep she was in so much pain. It took over 20 minutes after the decision she needed to be euthanized to put in an IV so she laid in the back on a table all that time and passed away in pain and alone. It should not have taken that long at the very least she should have been brought back in the room. She suffered all that time, and I’m sure she was scared without any familiar faces around. The one vet tech was passive aggressive and basically said well I was with her. If you were with her then you should have noticed her condition was declining and at least brought her to us so we could say goodbye and she could pass with a familiar face. If you were with her why did it take over 29 minutes to get the IV in. You robbed my dog of the comfort of those she loved and trusted and you robbed us of being able to say goodbye. I hope you can sleep well tonight I can’t knowing she died scared and alone.

Advanced Animal Emergency: what do users think?
Hopee Olson: I had to take my 2 year old blue heeler/border collie in last night and I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, friendliness, and gentle care with not only my dog, but also myself. They informed me very well of the following steps of after care and all they were doing when we visited before they did it. When I became overwhelmed with some information at his result they were too kind and patient with me and made sure I was alright before continuing. I really can’t thank them enough for their exceptional care of my fur baby and patience and gentle handling in my stressed state.
Kee White: Called to see if they take walk-ins for emergencies as every other vet I had called referred me to them. They stated over the phone they had an emergency surgery and had been asking everyone to call back within about 5 hours. I physically drive in the next day only to be told “there’s no doctor in and there’s a 6 hour wait” this just doesn’t make any sense there was one person in the waiting room….
Chelsea Thayer: AMAZING!!! My dog went here after getting attacked and the doctors and techs took such amazing care of her. Everyone was so kind, caring, helpful and truly cares about the work they do. Literally cannot sing enough praise for them. Bean and our family cannot thank you enough! Wish we could see them as our primary vet
Kathryn Goettsch: The early morning our old dog died was very sad. We took him in before dawn hoping to minimize any suffering. Everyone we interacted with was phenomenal. They had compassion and professionalism--they were so kind and respectful to us. Our dear pup passed peacefully in our arms in a private, comfortable room. They said we could take as much time as we needed. They were all so kind.
christie johnson: Have brought my dog Remi here twice . Very caring staff great emergency care . Thank u for being open when we needed help
Brenda Ludlow: Hi. I previously rated them a 5 star for care they gave my dog in Feb 2022. Last Friday, April 7, 2023, I took my dog back because she was having a seizure, and they had history with her. They didn't look at any of the history. Basically I went there so they could give my dog her Keppra dose in a shot because she couldn't take her dose by mouth. She was still having a seizure 3 hours later. Dr Brown didn't give her Keppra until I agree to admit her to the hospital for $1930. Dr Brown also refused to give her activated charcoal and my dog is oral and gets into stuff in the yard. Poisoning looks like excessive drooling and convulsions. Time is of the essense, you need to get the toxins absorbed by the activated charcoal and out of the dog's system. When I picked her up still shaking I wondered if they caused permanent damage. Dr Brown was telling me Oola might throw up the activated charcoal and breathe it. She was sure Oola has a brain tumor, but never did x-rays or anything. Owner told me the vet's name, but I may not even have the right name. She never introduced herself. There are some games going on with their income reporting because they refunded me over $800 when I picked her up. She was Still shaking, but I have muscle relaxants for that, as long as she can eat. Dogs do not eat during seizures. I relied on them to give her the Keppra *they* started her on. And they didn't. They used their normal protocol of trying Valium instead of reading her chart. Valium doesn't help my dog come out of her convulsions.I am Very disappointed. She didn't need hospitalization to watch her on Keppra. The morning vet Dr Pollack was fantastic. Maybe if you are desperate and go here you will get lucky with a vet you like. But I hope you have a HUGE emergency nest egg because they will take it.Owner said my dog wasn't having a seizure when I complained. Those episodes are what she always had and they told me it was a seizure in Feb 2022 and we are treating her for epilespy, so I don't know what to think. Maybe he was gaslighting me for complaining. Thanks for reading my long winded post.
Katie Jagenow: Had a middle of the night emergency with my large dog. They were so kind, professional and caring. He needed major surgery and the level of care he was given was extraordinary . The service was out of.this world. I would go there again and highly recommend. Thank you for saving Buford's life!
Lisa Howington: Sadly we had an emergency last night with our 13 year old, medically fragile family dog. The staff at Advanced Animal Emergency made me feel heard and like he was getting the best care from the moment of the initial call I made to them until we left their Clinic. Sadly our boy was not in any shape to pull through, but their compassion and professionalism made me feel good about my choice to take him here. My family and I appreciated the way they treated our pup and us. I know I did all I could and they did all they could. I would recommend AAE for those urgent Veterinary after-hours visits.
Michelle Bruno: As a veterinary professional one who is suppose to look out for the best interest of the animal, I am very disappointed that this facility is only a money making facility. To do a general anesthetic on a kitten for 3 to 4 sutures is so dangerous and unnecessary. Totally taking advantage of people and their furr babies at the worst time. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Usually when you love animals you do whatever you can to help them not make the most monetarily.
Haley: Brought my 8 week old puppy in after she had gotten into my children’s desitin, the front desk/vet tech who was there was absolutely amazing, she walked me though exactly what i had to do with posion control and when i arrived was so sweet to me and my puppy and made us both feel extremely comfortable- if i ever have to go anywhere or ever refer anyone i wouldn’t go anywhere else! thank you guys so much!
Brian Heldt: I want to thank all of the staff that helped my mother and i last Saturday with our red Doberman Jewel that unfortunately passed away.
Nicky Szawronski: Unprofessional. Money grab! Never go here!!!! Declined their service after my chihuahua was bit in the face by a big dog. The dr was not helpful in giving any information on my dog. All they wanted to do was sedate him and have me pay a high bill just to exam him. Charged me 130 for exam that didn’t even take place. Quoted me 1200-1400 for treatment without even knowing his injuries. Refused to X-ray him before sedation. Took him to Wilson in Washington Twp. They examined him. Explained everything about his injuries. Xrayed him with proper diagnosis and treatment without sedation. And bill under 350! Go with your gut! If a vet doesn’t inform you, discuss injuries, show that they even care or have any knowledge at all, leave!
Mellisa Branthoover: Seriously amazing place. Very clean and staff is very friendly
AuntBee: The employees were very attentive and caring, however the parvo test that cost $250 was completely unnecessary 😑
Taylor Umbarger: They took very good care of my cat! Everyone I talked to there was EXTREMELY kind and answered any questions I had. It also was much cheaper than I anticipated. Thank you!!!
Michael Schachermeyer: Had to bring my dog into the ER for object removal. The entire staff was kind. When i went to pick her up they told me i had a refund coming as i had overpaid on the estimate. They gave me a large refund very honest of them. Would recommend as an ER vet to anyone who needs them.
axlxlxixsxoxnxmxex: Amazing experience they saved my baby penny and were always open for me to call and talk about any concern I had after surgery. Could not imagine better service than this place 10/10
sarah: I am forever grateful for the kind accommodations when we recently had to take our 15 year old beagle Daisy in. She peacefully fell asleep and is now at rest. As hard as the situation was, all the staff and Doctor were so understanding and gentle. Thank you to all the staff for being so compassionate & accommodating for us. ❤️‍
Adrianna Bullock: Horrible experience ! Money hungry ! My 1 and a half year old dog broke her leg and they said the best option was to amputate it because she was so tiny and they weren’t qualified to do surgery for her there. I told them no and asked for other places that would do surgery they gave me 2 other places but still insisting amputation because surgery would be $5,000. I still refused so they sent us home with a splint. Not even 2 days later I had to bring her back because they put the splint on too tight and she was loosing circulation in her leg and foot and they still charged me full price for their mistake ! And on top of that they sent her home very high she looked so miserable and they kept telling me she would be fine after a few hours but she still wasn’t so i finally was able to take her to grosebeck animal hospital where they did the surgery for WAY less than what they told me and my dog did not come home high or uncomfortable. Save your money and time don’t come here. The lady up front also was a bit rude she seemed like she didn’t know anything she read my discharge paper but couldn’t answer any of my questions about discharge.
Kate: The staff is very kind, compassionate and professional. They were there for us when everywhere else was either closed, or understaffed, and couldn't help our beloved setter Keegan. We highly recommend them.
Lisa Lozen: They always say their vet is in emergency surgery and not available. I’ve never been able to get in after hours.

North Suburban Veterinary Hospital: what do users think?
Susan Bridges: We took my son cat for her first visit we rescued her now. Kitty well check. Dr Jay fell in love with her like we did. We always get the right answer from Dr Jay
John Lavalley: I took my Rottweiler puppy there for a spay. Dropped her off early morning and picked her up that evening. She slept all night. The next she acted like nothing happened. Took her back ten days later for a check and everything was fine. It was our first time there and we will be back. Everything went as expected. Even better. Thank you guys. Misty says Hello and Thanks.
Stacy Shows You: Highly recommend Dr.J and his clinic. If you are looking for a family practice that treats your animals the way you want them cared for we recommend going here.
Karen Shellac: I love Dr. J and his staff. They do not break the bank and run unnecessary tests. They are honest and take their time with you. I have a pit bull and they treated him like a collie.. never once showed fear, as with other places. You will not regret seeing the vet here!
Kristie Shat: I’ve taken two of my pit bulls and one Maltese and one mastiff here. They treated us with nothing but true care for my babies. Always down to earth and do not want to break the bank. Get us in right away when we have a concern. I’ve been to one other vet in my 35 years of being a dog mama, that has treated my babies the way I need them cared for. (He retired) Thank you for everything you do!!!
Stephanie Fletcher: I have been going to this place for a long time. The vet is really good and they care about your animals.
Joey Zilka: Dr. W.D. Jaxtheimer, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. This place was suggested by a friend as a friendly, trustworthy, and reasonably priced vet. I wish we had started with them earlier. Our puppers needed attention fast and he got it. Without breaking the bank. Thanks to all the kind staff.
ann hall: Great service and staff.
Stacey Arscott: Always willing to fit me in when I need to bring one of my cats in for quik treatment & they never make ya wait long
Sam Buket: Super helpful staff
L T: Wonderful staff! Fast service! Affordable! My puppy feels comfortable going here!
faygoforthejuggalo: Great facility and staff is fix my dog's knees to just regular visits always professional
tonyia yagiela: Dr. Jay and staff are wonderful!!! They went above and beyond for my dog when he had cancer.
Mark Pasik: I’ve been taking my little (puppy) girl of mine to Dr. J since she was eight (8) weeks old, and he has been absolutely the best. She’s been sick a few times and their staff get’s me in immediately, and Dr. J with his wealth of experience and love for the animals has always made my girl well (in addition to making me feel better about doing things right in caring for her). Sick or well, my girl always has the best of care. The staff is terrific, and equally as caring. After she was spayed, their office contacted me (on their day off) just to check on how she was doing. Dr. J is older and wiser, and with his experience has seen most of everything. They will always get you into the office. I’ve seen them work long days and stay into the evening just to care for everyone and handle the things that just come up! They care an awful lot, they are compassionate, caring, and will always be there for you!!! Thank you Dr. J, Jessica, Amanda, and the entire office staff. With love from me, Ruby, Waffle, Momo, Julie, and the whole family.
Dennis Rhodes: Very professional atmosphere and friendly staff. They care for the animals they treat and really enjoy what they do. Will highly recommend this place.
Ryoung1718 Melvin67: Some vets couldn't care less about your pet family this staff cares
Therese Sussi: I love this whole place. The location, the accessibility, the staff as well as the vets. My dog, Mr. Ryker rykes,? Is the only family I have , he is my friend, my protector, my support dog, my heart, and yes he is my SON. his health, happiness and quality of life Is of the utmost importance to me.With that bring said,? I whole heartedly love ❤ North Surburban Vet. They ( any and all that work there) are the best people I have had the pleasure of allowing, trusting, and reasonably priced health care for my MR. RYKER RYKES!!!!THANK YOU ALL!🙂🐾
Flutter City: As many others have said - if I could give this place zero stars, I would. I called to see if they can see my dog within the next couple of days because he was feeling unwell - we had already gone to the ER a week ago to have him checked out. The receptionist I spoke with was INCREDIBLY RUDE. She kept accusing me of waiting last minute and waiting too long to set an appointment. She must of forgotten that it was just after Independence Day holiday and EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED. I called Abby East down the road and told them what happened - they were much nicer and told me that’s usually the feedback they got from North Suburban patients! Learn to have better manners!
David Suminski: We went to this hospital for years with all of our pets. The support staff are very nice. The problem we had was that my dog needed surgery and Dr.J knew my dog had allergies. After the surgery we took my dog home we noticed something didn't seem right after several days. We took our dog back to the hospital. We were told he had a reaction to the catgut sutures he used and Dr. J re-sutured him with synthetic sutures. Catgut sutures have animal proteins in them and should have never been used on him. He started vomiting days later and when we contacted and saw the doctor he couldn't figure out why. Dr. J tried different meds, did blood tests and xrays. This went on for weeks and we finally went to another hospital. My dog ended up dying from a bleeding ulcer due to the allergic reaction. No apology from Dr. J.
Eric Bailey: If I could leave a 0 star rating I would as that is exactly what they deserve. We had a feral cat have kittens on our back deck and during the middle of the night we were woken up by a commotion in our backyard. A family of raccoons had gotten a hold of one of the kittens and were fighting over it. We managed to chase the raccoons off and brought the kitten in that they had dropped. When we were finally able to talk to someone at North Suburban Veterinary, we were told that, "they could not see the kitten, because they could not tell the people that were coming in to get their animals shots they had to wait for our emergency. " Had this been the only incident I would probably have let it go, but this is the second time we were told our emergency wasn't important and I personally know someone else that has had a similar experience. We have found another vet that showed compassion to both the animal and people. We will not be going to North Suburban Veterinary again.
Judy Morphy: Been going for 14 years, love this place!

Animal Emergency Center - Rochester: what do users think?
Firas Marenkos: Without going into a lot of detail, I had to unexpectedly put my best friend Ghost down today. I can’t express how great and compassionate the doctor, technicians and staff were. Thank you for helping me through the process.
Nicole Lemanski: Excellent care! Keep up the great work!
Shara Lindsey: Amazing! I honestly can’t say enough positive things about my experience here. I rushed my new puppy in and the staff took immediate and excellent care of her.
Samantha Cleaver: The vet, tech, and other staff were so kind during our difficult ordeal. While we ultimately made the painful decision to humanely euthanize our dog, it was comforting to receive the care for our pup and us as well. We were treated with respect and dignity. Thank you for all the work you do.
Bernice Townsell: Thank you so much for all you did to help Rocky and your loving sympathy card
Elena: Took about 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room until we got seen. Not upset about that, i get it. Severe patients are seen first. What irks me is when we were put in a room, we waited 15 minutes before someone came in, and another hour for checkup. Got an estimate for 1100 dollars just in tests (for one small bird) some of which could kill her if not done right. She had only vomited a bit so I just decided to take her home. Had to wait another 30 minutes of just sitting in the room to get her back. We were getting pretty antsy at the end there. All in all: 1/5 stars- Too long, too expensive
Allison S: I'm so thankful we were put in touch with this center when we had an emergency with our dog recently. The front desk staff were so kind and calming. The nurse or PA we worked with was thorough and kind. The Dr seemed rushed but that's not surprising; if I appreciated their work to get to us, the next people would too. The cost was pricey but that's to be expected from any emergency center. I think they were a great option for a situation like ours!
Erica's doll world: we had to rush our beloved cat to the vet. they took us in immediately. sadly we had to put her to sleep. they were very sympathetic and kind. and very reasonable on pricing.
Kathleen Williams: This place is hands down the best animal facility I’ve been too. From Michigan all the way to California. The doctors are the best. The prices are beyond reasonable and fair. The receptionists and nurses/ techs go above and beyond. You are treated with urgency, respect and they make you feel like family almost as if your animal is their own. They show compassion and you and your pet are taken care of ASAP. They make sure your animal is ok and then some. The doctor helped with my dogs allergic reaction quickly and not only reversed it but allowed him to be under observation to further ensure my dogs health and safety. This is my second time here and I refuse to go anywhere else even though I live further away. Also the facility is very beautiful and clean. There is no weird smells like most vets. Ha ! It’s very well maintained. Come here, you won’t regret it!!! Thanks to all that helped my baby boy Gunner. We appreciate you all so much!
thepunisher 767: From the initial phone call, to the last minutes with my pet, the staff (all 3 of them that I dealt with) made me feel cared for and comfortable the entire time (as much as the situation itself sucked). They gave me all my options in detail along the way, and were very compassionate. Couldnt ask for more, and I thank you all for making this awful situation as comfortable as it was. 3
Dan Rumschlag: Laziest most ignorant group of people iv ever had to deal with the exception of Goodison veterinary. It's all about the money not the care of the pet!!
yousif Hannosh: These people are the most profession and best vet hospital you can ever ever take your dog to. My dog was choking around 12:30 AM and I called them and they were able to take him in right away but unfortunately he couldn’t make it but I’m very thankful for this vet to have taken my dog and tried their best to save him. These guys are truly amazing at everything they do. I highly recommend them
Carly Corey: Everyone was extremely helpful, kind, and patient. After taking our BMD to two different vets over the weekend we ended up here on a Sunday, where they helped solved the problem and get our guy healthy. In the case of another emergency this is where we will return. Thanks AEC!
dusty campbell: The staff was very compassionate and got us in very Quickly (within 20 minutes of calling) after our emergency with our sweet Opal. While Opal didn’t make it, they gave us all the time we needed to give her the best goodbye under the circumstances. The staff also took the time to write out condolences in a sympathy card, which meant so much when I received it in the mail.
Jeffrey stieber: We arrived and we were only customers in the lobby our dog was in severe pain and we were taken immediately to a room. We waited 1 1/2 hours and not one person came to our room or checked on us as our dog sat in pain. We walked out to see 2 employees at the desk playing on their cell phones . We exited the bulding without either employee acknowledging us. I will absolutely never return to this place
michael simmons: We brought our dog in to be euthanized and vets in our area could not get him him for several days. Guinness has never liked the vet and he was shaking like a leaf when we arrived. They gave him a bunch of treats and he stopped shaking and was happy. The doctor did an exam and felt it was that time. The doctor and the staff were caring and compassionate and treated him like a king the last hour of his life, he even ate brownies and was happy until the last second of his life. Even though euthanizing him sucked everyone at AEC-Rochester were awesome and since he was happy going out made the experience slightly more tolerable.
inya beukenhorst: awful and really appalling experience.... the doctor calling me with updates told me I could always euthanize her (I think she was fed up with all my questions, and me telling her that $1300 a night is quite expensive). the explanations were always very indecisive, maybe this, maybe that...nothing solid. On top of that they left a 6 inch piece of feeding tube inside my cat.... I noticed it when my cat starting vomiting again at home. they were apologetic and offered to pay for the additional exam and Xray ($990, well that's the least they could propose), however, I was furious, because they day before when she was home, she was doing really well, eating and playing. Now with the tube vomited up again she was all of a sudden hiding in pain, did not wanted to eat and sniffling and sneezing etc (did it come out through her nose???) . so I wanted them to keep her for another night, which they told me was another $1300 per night. I plainly refused to pay that of course, because THEY left a feeding tube in my cat!! after I complained to agreed to keep her another night free of charge. however, the next day I decided to get her to another hospital.
Nakeya Rome: My dog was very sick after coming back
Wolverine Bullyz: Horrible service this is not a place that cares for pets it all about $$$$$$$$$$$
Ramsey Khalid: It was after midnight when we walked into AEC with Oliver. Although the facility was at capacity the doctor still made time to tend to our cat. Being a life long animal person I have been to these types of facilities in the past, having a mix of experiences…..more bad than good. One particular thing stands out about this visit to AEC is that all the individuals encountered that night were angels. The front staff is caring, concerned, compassionate. The doctor on staff was extremely knowledgeable and teaching. If you have the need for emergency animal care then I would most definitely recommend AEC. Happy to say that Oliver is still with us ….sitting by the fireplace…
Jillian W.: Thank you for helping our sweet baby Aldrich :') He came in for some stomach issues. We were very scared because he threw up bile very suddenly and stopped eating altogether. Your medicine really helped him! We followed up with his regular vet and now he is back to his happy, perky self! We thank you for seeing him as soon as you did ❤️ We love our baby boy and we were happy he was in good hands!

Animal Clinic Of Sterling Heights: what do users think?
Patricia Falk: Great place. I love all the techs and staff and the veterinarians!! Very good prices so I can afford my 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Vera: Ever since moving to the Macomb Co area in the early 1990s, we have been following Dr. Wilson’s practices, first at the Wilson Veterinary Hospital, but primarily the Animal Clinic of Sterling Heights. We are very pleased with the staff, both doctors & technicians. Dr. Jeremy Kreiger, is and has been our favorite. But all are kind, competent, and compassionate with our pets and it’s obvious they enjoy their work servicing beloved animals. You can’t go wrong choosing this practice!
Roc: I was about to have a panic attack because my dog was breathing hard and google was saying a whole lot of bad and not much good so I call in and the lady (sorry for assuming genders) instantly calmed me down and helped me figure out what was going on she walked me through taking his temperature he ended up being completely fine so thank you for that if you're reading this I was scared out of my mind
Karen Buchacz: Awesome as always! Dr. Krieger and all of the staff always take great care of my boy!
Lana Lipinski: Very nice staff and Dr. Wilson was very knowledgeable about the Frenchie breed and the issue my dog was having.
Emily Harris: I took my 9 year old female dog to get her up to date on shots and spay consult. Dr. Griffin was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and talked to me through the pros and cons of spaying an older dog.Answered every question and eased my mind.10/10 recommend taking your animal here. Every vet, vet tech, and receptionist was friendly.
Karen Derkacz: Great vets sometimes hatd to get in however again great vets
T Richardson: I will be driving a little out of my way to bring my mini dachshunds here. Service was quick, friendly staff, and the pricing is affordable without sacrificing care.
Emily Brewer: I just gotta say, I came here in a panic with my dog the other day, and they directed me to an urgent care but in the meantime, they had the vet just make sure he was okay and I am just so thankful that they helped me at all. My dog ended up being fine, just another large chunk of a blanket, hence his name, Chunk, but it was very helpful of them to get someone to quickly look at him so I could drive to where I needed to make sure he was okay. Thank you soooo much to all the girls that witnessed me having a nervous breakdown, and I will be scheduling an appt with them to get him established!
Eddie Cantu: Top notch. I just received a card from the ENTIRE staff with personalized messages on my cat that passed. He didn't even pass on their watch. Very kind gesture to go above and beyond and send that out once they heard about my buddy passing. Great clinic!
David C: I've been taking my baby here for years. These people love animals and we have a great experience every time!
Daniel (Nuk): Best vets around very caring and attentive to your animals need service prices seem fair and staff is very helpful for call ins and questions about your pooch or feline.
Amber Morrison: If I could give 1000 stars I would. The compassion and empathy they showed for our boy. I cannot express my thanks enough for the treats and pets he was given. His final time on earth was made so incredibly special by this clinic. We will forever come here. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else after our experience today. Thank you for comforting us and our boy and giving him a peaceful cross over the rainbow bridge.
susan florek: Always professional coupled with warmth and understanding. Polite and friendly.
Russell Victory: Great staff
Ruth Wallace: Very affordable caring office. The drs are awesome. Highly recommend!
William Porter: Wonderful caring staff.
Steven Jordano: Wanted so bad to find a vet for my new buddy Dieter. Sadly I will continue to look. Good vets are hard to come by as the older ones leave the profession. Many pets and a small fortune spent on them. Don't remember trouble finding a vet. It's tough. 1yr shots $200+ ouch
Jessica Ann: I had a great experience taking my pitbull here to get neutered! The staff was very friendly and informative about the process and after care!
Jane Laird: The staff is pleasant and professional. The medical care is excellent and I don’t mind traveling the extra miles to see Dr Wilson.
J: Great office, great staff, great vets, great prices and over all experience

Advanced Animal Hospital MI: what do users think?
O S: I do not recommend going to them because they have no mercy in taking money
Tamara Pizzimenti: Takes great care of my fur babies.
Dmitriy Feldman: Knowledgeable, friendly and fast
Abby Sensini: I took my dog to AAH for the first time today and was so happy with the friendly service and extra love Marnie received from the staff along with a very thorough exam from Dr. Dillon. I’m excited to follow them to their new location this spring!
David Wilson: Since Abbey East merged with Advanced, I've been taking my fur baby here for treatments. Staff is caring and engaging. They called to check up on me and they always took my calls with questions and concerns warmly. Prices for fees are competitive but certainly not cheap.
Sharon Johnsonbaugh: I can't say enough about Advanced Animal Hospital, MI. They employ the most wonderful, caring individuals from all of the support staff to each and every one of the doctors. I wouldn't think of taking my fur babies anywhere else. If you haven't had the pleasure of taking your pets to this animal hospital - try it at once. You won't be sorry!!!!!
tommy k: Best place for my pet
Evan Wenger: Friendly, compassionate, quick & easy to get an appointment - I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Wavez: Still requires masks 🙄
Emily Dougherty: Staff was welcoming and thorough. Treated my boys with care!
jennifer stinson: I brought my dog in because she was stressed out due to bringing a new puppy into our home. She had bad diarrhea and was not eating. Instead of treating her for this obvious issue, Dr. Wilson wanted to order a full lipid panel and an x-ray because he felt she may have a parasite. I told him no. That is not the issue. The issue is stress related. Let’s treat her for that. Had I gone with his recommendation plus what I knew what she needed to be treated for, my bill would have been close to 1000.00! Why couldn’t he just treat for what the obvious issue was? New puppy equals stress to a dog. I did not appreciate being treated like I had no idea what I was talking about. I know my dog better than anyone. I use to own a dog daycare, so I am very familiar with stress in dogs. I will be looking for a new veterinarian for my dog and our new puppy.
Mark Donaldson: I've had pets all my life, and this is by far the best vet office I've had the pleasure of visiting. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. The office uses text and email efficiently to make scheduling and communication simple. I have absolutely 0 complaints.
Diana Aldini: Very helpful and kind
alex choulagh: I won’t go back again price gougingThey over charge us for checks up
Aida Anaya Reyes: I recently took my furry friend for a vaccination and the staff is friendly. They truly care for pet wellness!
Paul Baugher: They were very compassionate when our dog went to the rainbow bridge.
David Bainbridge: Advanced Animal Hospital is ran by amazing and caring individuals. About 18 months ago my older cat was suffering from end stage kidney failure. His lifelong veterinarian (a cats only vet) was only working limited hours (covid) and was unavailable the past day and a half. I came home from work at 4pm on a Friday to find him in what seemed to be extreme discomfort. I knew I had waited too long to say goodbye. I called at least 4 other local animal hospitals and no one would see him that day for euthanasia except for Advanced Animal Hospital. They didn’t hesitate to stay open past closing and wait for us to arrive. They were extremely kind and patient while we said our goodbyes. I want to truly thank them for being so kind and helping my friend of 13 years. THANK YOU!
Westen Shelton: Charged my card for a missed appointment and didn't even call the day of the appointment to try and reschedule first. The appointment was a check up post teeth cleaning which every other vet Ive had either didn't do or was willing to do for free. I took my dog here ten years ago, and stopped going because they always overcharge vs other places and try and get every dollar possible out of you. Then, my new vet merged into theirs. So I gave them another chance and absolutely nothing has changed. There are plenty of vets out there that take great care of your pets without trying to extract all of your money.
Scott Rance: They make you wear a mask.
Matt B: My wife took our cat in for a routine annual checkup. When she left the house she was totally normal and fine and I didn’t think anything of it. About an hour later I get a call from my wife saying our cat collapsed and she wasn’t doing well. They explained they were going to take her back and monitor her. We were worried something was wrong with her. However, come to find out she was fine. They charged us 300 dollars on top of the checkup for this! We are furious. They nearly killed my cat and then decided to charge us for it. I do not trust them at all and think something deeper is happening there. Needless to say I pulled our records and am finding a new vet. I would avoid this place like the plague.
Deborah Prykucki: Everyone in the office are friendly and Dr Linhurst is the most knowledgeable and compassionate vet and my Shannon loves her

Animal Care Hospital of Sterling Heights: what do users think?
Dj Sam music: They have bad service and the price is so expensive they have different doctors now and not like before if you go only for check up you will spend over $200 I never take my dog there anymore I have 3 dogs I have spend over 750 each time lol don’t even try
Paul Dempsey: Great place, good vetenarion,Treated my cat Felix when he was sick,Thank you
merna bazy: The doctor he is so unprofessional and I took my dog to this clinic for the shots and he only 5 months and needs the rabies shots and the doctor he told me he need 4 other shots which is I already was there months ago and he took his shots and now he want to give me other shots just to charge me more money and sale me some medicine for 170$ which is also the last time he charge me for the consultation just to see my dog for 69$ it’s insane and unbelievable.
Ashley DeMoss: Took us in right away when my baby hurt his paw! Very loving and took care of him.
Brayhlon Cyrry: Weren’t much help. Very unprofessional, almost child like customer service skills . Weren’t very empathetic or compassionate. Wouldn’t recommend.
Rhonda Kurka: This vet clinic is amazing, as well as the veterinarian. My sweet little old man pupper has a heart murmur, gave him his vaccinations. Also recommended because of his age (14yrs) and condition that he also receive the canine influenza vaccine. The veterinarian/office staff is so kind and caring; knows my pupper by name (which is extremely important to any parent). Their prices are quite decent compared to other vet clinics. Also, they have reached out just to check up on my pup. I’m so grateful to have found such an incredible vet clinic
Evelyn Joyce Martinez: We brought our dog here due to a cough that wasn't going away. We needed a appointment that day and they fit us in.The Vet was very gentle with my son and Thor when he broke the news that our guy had cancer. When he took my husband and I to the back to talk to us privately, he showed us the imaging they took and explained that the cancer was everywhere. He wanted us to know because he didn't feel right about telling our teenager his dog had possibly one month to live. We appreciated his kindness. We went home and Thor lived like a king. We had him for three more months and he lived his best life.Thank you for everyone there. We now have a little puppy and we have gladly went back to the same vet again. When the vet we were told to go to couldn't see us and told me we would have to restart all vaccinations cause they weren't sure what he got while they saw him at the pet store we were at a loss. We called Animal Care and they had us come in the next day to figure it all out. There was no need to restart anything. They looked at his paperwork we had and said he was in schedule.I will gladly take my little guy here for all his doggie needs!
Colleen Stefanski: That's a horrible Hospital if they can even have the nerve to call themselves a hospital my dog is dead because of that incompetent that that calls himself a doctor I'm sick over all of it and poor 1,200 later and my dog died for no good reason
Leanne Turner: We took our cat here under the name Alfa Animal care. The solved our cat's problem of becoming amaciated and urinating in the house because of stress. Thank you doctor and staff! Very affordable price as well.
Patricia Sawicki: Always great service from a caring and compassionate staff and a great Vet Dr. Parviz.
Love: UNETHICAL!!Yeah, so I thought this was an amazing veterinary practice at an affordable rate. Not! They said they are charging a $20 fee to write me a prescription unless I take my cat in to have blood work done. She only needs blood work every 6 months. We’re not even at the 5-month mark yet, but he wants her to come in.They were fine with me picking up the meds from them for $58 for a 50-day supply (as opposed to about $12 from my pharmacy) without her having blood work first. But when I told them it’s way cheaper at my pharmacy, that’s when they hit me with the $20 script fee unless she also comes in for blood work.Excuse me, what?!! I have never had a doctor or vet charge for simply writing a prescription. Disgustingly unethical and I am changing vets. Only reason I am even going to this vet this one last time is because my cat needs more meds.
Kelley Collins: They took my very sick cat when no one else would, not even the vet we had been going to for years. Vet offices are busy, but my cat was sick. The extended my cat's life a couple of weeks so my daughter who was away at college could say goodbye.Clients for ever!
Yolanda Currie: I am so pleased I decided to go to here, my experience was Awesome! My little Milo has been suffering with allergies. One call to them and they right away did allergy testing along with an injection that last for six weeks. All other places were not able to figure out what was going on with my little guy. So kudos to Animal Care Hospital.
elizabeth perry: I just adopted two cats, who have never been to the vet before. I took them here for a wellness, vaccines, blood work, and. A fecal. They told me both cats were perfectly fine other then one was throwing up so we switched his food. Took them to a different vet for blood work to get my one cat fixed. And it turns out my cat was dying and was extremely anemic. His blood was the consistency of water. And both cats have tapeworms. This vet was so negligent, how did they not see my poor cat had white gums and everything else. If I could give this place one star I would! I would highly suggest goin to a different vet!!! When I called to get answers on how they missed everything. They told me it was all my fault because "I brought a wrong or bad fecal sample" when it was fresh. And that all the problems must have happened after I left the vet. I went here one week before taking them to a different vet so please tell me how it all randomly happened in one week. The staff was extremely rude, to me and my mom over the phone, and refused my refund for the wellness, blood work, and fecal. This place does not care about your animals nor they care about weather or not your pets lives. When I called to get a corporate number or anyone to call higher up they told me good luck trying to find one. "They did nothing wrong" I'm begging anyone with a pet please call around and find another vet.
Brian Wheelock: Great place
Danielle Biehl: Friendly fast service that focuses on my animals needs and not the businesses pocketbook. Highly recommend!
IRAQITRUCKER: We’ve been go there for three years now they’ll take care of our pet and their prices fair
Melissa Peters: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueHave been taking my fur babies here for years now! They are the absolute best! Highly recommend!
Cam Gardner: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ReliabilityI was able to easily book my appointment over the phone and have my dog seen in a timely manner. The staff was super friendly and helpful!! This is a high quality veterinary clinic that me and my family love!
Chris P: I would never attend this vet even with a sewer rat….doc told me takes 24 hours for lab results was 2 whole days I call in the am they say “sorry the lab was just picked up” bad attitude from the staff and doc!
Bree Bree: Critical:ProfessionalismI liked that my dog was 👀 quickly, niceDesk clerk but the doctor that seen my dog cut her Nails to far down to the point she was bleeding terribly when they returned my poor baby bk to me will not be coming bk ever again don't bring your pet here

BluePearl Pet Hospital: what do users think?
Dakota Watterson: The vets and techs here were incredibly helpful and caring. As bad as the experience was of having to be at an animal hospital, it could not have been any better. They cared about my pet more than the money and helped me come up with a treatment plan for my pet that was financially reasonable. They treated my cat like their own pet and I was thankful that they gave me all the details of my pet's care throughout his time at BluePearl. The receptionists were so kind as well.
Ruben Berg: Took less the one minute for the doctor to come in and tell us he has no idea what’s wrong with our cat before they left again. With that being said they said he can run test on her for 1500-2k or give her something for her appetite for 600$. Which is a crazy amount of money when he has no idea what’s wrong with her or had the time to check her over when asked for an itemized bill the price changed. With all the bad reviews and talk of price gouging I won’t be coming back.
Alycia R: I was on the phone for hours trying to take my dog somewhere, everywhere was full capacity. They asked me questions over the phone and told me to bring him in. They were so friendly. Will be my first place to call in any case of emergency here on out
Rachel Petz: We cannot say enough wonderful things about Blue Pearl in Auburn Hills. Our kitten was likely hit by a car and in extreme distress. The team there worked their magic and after we called while driving in, they were able to rush him to the back and get started stabilizing him. They took great care for hours and gave us plenty of updates, not to mention amazing bedside manner and friendly conversation. They also worked to get him into the nearest hospital for overnight care while before closing. We feel lucky they had capacity for us and highly recommend their care.
Amye Liquia: Absolutely wonderful place! I was a total emotional mess the day I visited but the entire staff was so kind, warm and welcoming. The entire place was peaceful and calm (which I definitely needed that day). The vet & tech were extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. They walked through all of the different options in both testing and in post visit care, and happily answered any questions I had. I would 100% hands down, choose this place if I need to visit an emergency vet clinic again.
Austin P.: Our dog Sammie got attacked by a cat and got a scratch on her eye. We brought her up to BluePearl and all the staff that attended to us were absolutely amazing. Its such an awful feeling to have to rush your pet to the doctor, so everyone being so sweet and helpful really took a load off of our shoulders. Affordable as well for emergency service.
K J Hobbs: My 97 year old mother took her 14 yr old kitty in who was obviously on her last days. Rather than just putting her to sleep they did a bunch of tests before doing so. Charged her $1151.50!! This is inexcusable! My mother is on social security. To take advantage of an elderly person who is losing there long time companion is dispicable!! Makes me so angry and sad.
Valerie McAllister: I just spoke to the vet at Blue Pearl about my dog's test results. The culture results show the antibiotic he was prescribed won't treat the bacteria he has. So a 6 days have gone by with him taking the wrong antibiotic. If they had followed the prescription he had previously been prescribed by his regular vet, he would be 1/2 way through his treatment. BUT THE BLUE PEARL VET PUT MY DOG ON A DIFFERENT ANTIBIOTIC EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD BEEN PRESCRIBED PREVIOUSLY for the same infection. On a positive note, the people who work at Blue Pearl were very compassionate and helpful. The office was very clean and welcoming.I understood walking through the door was $170+, but was shocked with the $465 bill. The additional charges weren't discussed along the way.
Shannon McKee: I can't say enough good things about Blue Pearl in AH. I, unfortunately, have had to visit with an emergency patient twice in the last year. Both times, we didn't get to bring our babies home, but I am forever grateful for the loving care they received while they were here. The entire staff was incredible and kind from start to finish. They were transparent and informative. I'm thankful beyond words they were able to help us, even if they couldn't save our sweet cat Biscuit, or our old gal Lily. The prices were fair, given that it was an emergency vet visit, after hours on a weekend. You can't put a price on the care and comfort from these awesome people. Thank you for making such hard things a little less painful.
S E: Excellent customer service, clean facility, excellent patient care, reasonable prices.
Sarah K: Genuinely had such a good experience here. The staff were very kind and efficient!
Clint Stoner: We had to have our beloved dog laid to rest and this place was amazing and they were very understanding
Briana: My cat pulled off his nail so I immediately brought him in to get stitches. They bandaged him so tight, my primary vet said it caused another wound on his paw. 900 dollars for them to give my cat an infection.
Kay R.: Was referred to internal medicine dept. of this vet by my regular vet for my cat. We saw Dr. Edwards. She and her assistant John were phenomenal!! They did absolutely everything they could for him and called to check up on him. When the medication they had provided didn't seem to be helping enough, they got us into dermatology to see Dr. Cook. Dermatology dept. was also fantastic!! Everyone here clearly loves animals. Wait times in lobby were always short. Our kitty loved the staff here.
Courtney Rowland: We had to put our pup Copper down last week due to severe heart problems. The staff was kind and Dr. Shepard was BEYOND compassionate and caring. She was right to the point and very thorough. We will be recommending everyone to come here and we will definitely be coming back if we ever need vet care in the future. Its not about the money. They truly care here. Thanks again for the symapthy card and your compassion in a hard time like this. It will never be forgotten. Our deepest gratitude to all,The Wirt Family
Jordy Johnson: Could not be happier with the experience that we had at BluePearl in Auburn Hills tonight. From the initial phone call to the moment we arrived at the front desk, during the exam, and consultation . Every staff member was kind and showed genuine concern and care for our dog. Everyone took the time to listen and asked questions. Thankfully, our dogs health situation wasn’t as serious as we first thought and we were able to take Mitzi home. If we ever need emergency veterinary services again, we’ll definitely make the 45 minute drive to BluePearl.
L Young: They lied to me on the phone saying they were open all night. This was a true emergency. After my kitten was triaged and stable, they came back with a $4,500 bill to transfer him to Southfield because nobody was staying overnight. This was an ER and the vet was trying to treat the kitten with a dewormer that was over ten times the average cost. He had no symptoms of worms. What the vet failed to look for was a liver shunt. In this case it's severe and nothing could save him. They just have a business model that puts profit above integrity. The vet was so unprofessional complaining about his huge student loans! There is a good reason why this hospital has so many low reviews. Stay away from THIS place.
Ashley Konowalski: I’m giving two stars because the office was nice. The vet spoke very loudly, was quite rude, and didn’t care to hear any input from me regarding my dog. She continuously regurgitated inaccurate information, and got mad when I attempted to clarify for accuracy. Also seriously lacking education regarding giant breeds, as she suggested that 3 cups of food equated to over feeding my Great Dane. This was before she even asked me about food and exercise. So I drove an hour and a half to be told that I was over feeding and under exercising my dog, which is wildly inaccurate, since she’s been on a diet and exercise regimen since May. The whole point of coming to a “specialist”was that my dog was failing her current therapy which involved medication, diet, and exercise. But the doctor didn’t take time to learn that. I have a sick animal, that’s why she is overweight. Won’t be back. I suggest taking your dog somewhere that isn’t 3x the cost of most places, with better doctors.
Cam Shirling: Took my coonhound here after his ear was bit off by a pitbull. Everything went better than I could have ever imagined. It was the absolute cleanest veterinary facility that I have ever been in. We were frequently updated. Staff was extremely polite. Much cheaper vet bill than what was expected. I highly recommend BluePearl Pet Hospital!
Kayley B: If I could give no stars, I would. My dog was hit and ran over by a truck. I called to see if they would help, they said to bring him in. 3 hrs went by and they were STILL saying we had to wait to be seen... I was the only one in the waiting room for over an hour. Never did see a vet. Nobody there cares. Very frustrating
Jessica Harden: We've been bringing our cat to the dermatology team here for a recurring nailbed infection that our regular vet has been unable to resolve. Knock on wood, things are looking better and we are now on the right track. Dr. Cook and Marissa have gone above and beyond. They've been kind, compassionate, and so patient with all of our questions between appointments. It's absolutely been worth the 90 minute drive, though I suspect our cat might disagree. ;-)

BluePearl Pet Hospital: what do users think?
Mariah Cramer: Michelle is absolutely amazing. Within seconds of showing up, she came out and took Lincoln to the back. She sat in the middle of the floor in the consultation room and explained absolutely everything that was wrong with him to us (he had spleen cancer) she never once rushed us she never once made us feel that we were just a patient. We had to make the hardest decision we have ever made the next day but in the moments we were there she was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Her heart is pure and the love for animals showed. I will forever be greatful to have be able to met her under the circumstances that we were dealt.
Kia Olson: The doctor here is absolutely amazing! She was super helpful and all of the staff working on my indie was super friendly and helped us calm down when our dog was going through some neurological issues! I would drive 40 minutes any time I have an emergency just to come to these wonderful people!!!!! Just know that you’re staff is amazing and super friendly!!!!
nil: Do not ever bring your pet here. They charged me 900$ for diagnostic tests that I explained multiple times that my vet had already done about a half hour prior. They wouldn't treat my poor dog in pain unless I paid $9000 on the spot, then cruelly recommended euthanasia that was not necessary. The dog just needed to be spayed. This place seriously traumatized me, and then blamed me for not calling first. I did phone them before driving 40 minutes to their clinic. I regret putting my dog through this when she already wasn't feeling well. They forced me to sign a waiver that I was leaving against medical advice, but they left me no choice since I could not immediately pay the ridiculous amount of money they were asking! This place preys on vulnerable people who want the best for their pets. I don't ever write reviews but I feel it's the right thing to do and warn others.I'm thoroughly disgusted, and please don't bother responding to this review trying to smooth things over. There is NO EXCUSE for this type of behavior. I'm just sickened.
Sarah Hall: $$$ OVER PRICED. The quality of care was good but I wasn't with my pet so how can you really know. Communication was poor. Waited more than 8 hours, no updates until I inquired. Paid over $500 for minimal treatment. I would wait for your General Practitioner AS LONG AS POSSIBLE before coming here. This is now on a "life saving basis" facility for me. In my 8 hr wait, I saw many different life-threatening emergencies handled promptly. Great for life or death.
Jamie Pauline: My dog was in critical condition and was referred to BluePearl by our local emergency vet because they lacked the means to treat him. My dog was immediately seen and cared for, and they fought valiantly to save his life. They even let us come visit him once he was situated and let us know that we should come again when his condition took a turn for the worse. Sadly, my baby passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. They took imprints of his paws and gave us a few tufts of fur as mementos, and his ashes were returned home in less than two days. I want to thank them for trying their very best against tough odds.
Ashley Love: This is by far the worse Vet I have ever been to. The Doctor and nurse had absolutely no compassion for my situation. The only thing this place cares about is money. If you can't come up with the absurd amount of money they charge right on the spot they will not treat your animal. They would rather watch your animal suffer than come up with a payment plan to help them.
Mathew Pimental: I hate to leave such a negative review since I've had good experiences with them in the past, but we lost our newborn kitten immediately after it was seen by bluepearl. We brought our week old kitten in through the emergency service because it was clear to us he wasn't able to breathe. After they assessed him, they told us his breathing seemed to be fine because he was able to cry out. They gave him water and a prescription for an infection and sent us home, and he died of suffocation on the way home right after he'd been seen and we were told he was able to breathe fine. Under no circumstance should I be able to tell more about a cat than a professional vet. I still feel he could have been saved if he'd been seen by someone else, we were completely devastated.
D Ballard: My son took our pup in to be seen and was told there would be a 2 hour wait, even though no one was in the waiting room with him. Once they were called to the back, the vet look him over once and said she didn't see anything wrong with him even though he was drooling and acting as if he had no energy. Then the vet left out of the room and no one came back in to check on our pup. Even though he could hear them going from room to room. The care he received was not good at all. He will never go back there again.
Jessica Nosal: Our cat was showing symptoms that we couldn’t quite place, and after calling several different emergency hospitals, Blue Pearl was able to help us with a possible diagnosis over the phone and recommended we come in ASAP. Thankfully, after being prepared for our arrival and taking our cat to the front of the line, they confirmed that if we waited to bring him in like we were planning to do, it could have been fatal. The doctors and nurses who helped us were knowledgeable and had fantastic bedside manners. They acted quickly and made sure both myself and my pet were taken care of. They were able to help us save on costs where we could and most importantly saved my cat’s life. Yes, it was expensive and yes wait times can sometimes be long - but this is an emergency hospital and there is a shortage in this industry so as long as my pet receives the care he needs, that’s all that matters. They even texted me photos of my cat while he was in their care!
Ayana T. Miller: Brought my dog in after he had a collapsing episode. Told there would be a wait because they were busy, but they actually saw him rather quickly. They ran tests and x-rays, and long story short, my dog has a form of heart failure. I couldn't afford to keep him there overnight, so I was given some follow-up options and prescriptions. The staff showed urgency and concern, and doctor Sydney was very patient explaining the echocardiogram and his condition.Harry is doing a lot better on his medication. My only complaint (4 Stars instead of 5) was that there were no discussions for payment options. Not sure how much more time I'll have with Harry, but I'm glad Blue Pearl is an option for emergencies.
Kelly Breslin: Dr. Aquino (ophthalmology) was just an awful vet, period. The staff, overall, was so great though.I took my cat to see Dr. Aquino for his recently diagnosed glaucoma. Despite being an extremely rare condition- she was completely indifferent and unhelpful.Also- It was extremely evident that she does not like cats- and was even more biased that my cat was purebred. She didn’t explain any information about glaucoma, prognosis, etc. It was like pulling teeth trying to ask her questions. After my regular vet performed an eye pressure reading, Dr. Aquino sent an rx for Demecarium bromide- and I wasnt given the opportunity to ask questions- she didnt provide any information either. After moving, my new eye specialist said this drug causes systemic toxicity- and there are other medications that can be used instead. Extremely upsetting and angering.Dr. Aquino did not care about my cat, or me, and based on other reviews, it’s clear she doesn’t care about pets in general.Out of my many years of seeing various vets, in MI and out of state, Ive never encountered such an uncaring, indifferent vet.
Mike Cooper: Brought my dog in to have an ultrasound referred from another veterinarians the doctor proceeded to examine my dog which was not necessary only needed an ultrasound then the vet took a sample from her abdomen told me that she was bleeding from her abdomen and that I should put my dog down I came home wash my dog use the bathroom and it was no blood in her stool I do not believe these people are practicing good medicine I believe they are here just to rip people off then they told me they wanted $600 just to do an ultrasound on my I had an ultrasound done on meeting only cost me $250
AriesArete: Neurologist was rude AF. French woman. Couldn’t understand her well so I was looking for clarification and she would just snap at me. Curt. Unwilling to do any tests on my baby Podo. She told me multiple times to put this sweet baby to sleep bc he was having trouble walking on his back legs. Was actually a very bad experience and shame on “Doctors”’at blue pearl for continuing to tell owners to put their animal to sleep over small things. To say it once OK but when I told you “we aren’t doing that now” no need to bring it up multiple times when I didn’t bring my cat for that. Terrible Dr.Dr. Ely was ok but you can never get into an appointment. UPDATE: BLUE PEARL killed my baby 😿
Greg Price: After spending 6k 3 years ago for surgery on our one dog and then 5k 6 weeks ago on a second dog i took him in to find that he had torn the other knee cruciate ligament. Again it would be 4500.00. I told the vet I just couldnt afford that and that I was going to try a brace and that if he still had too much pain I would have to have him euthanized. Her comment to that was "that is an option" Yes they are good as long as you have the money to pay but when it comes down to it that is all they actually care about.....MONEY! I am so jaded toward the veterinary care professionals after this experience. I understand that they have to make money but the lack of compassion for an animal by a professional tasked with their care is contrary to the ideal of a medical professional. I am sure that they all went to school just to make money not for the care of the animal and Blue Pearl will top that list!
Tasia Blaesser: 3 stars as the clinic itself did nothing wrong. Called to get a quote for a cardiology appointment and was told it was $220 for an initial consult + and echo, which for myself, is very reasonable. Was referred to the Ann Arbor location (still the same company) and was quoted 600+ more dollars, which the receptionist in AA said is the correct price.
Chris Monroe: This week my family had to have our dog put to sleep after a good long life. Being late on a Friday night, we struggled to find a place to assist us. Despite not being previous customers, the BluePearl staff took us in and gave us all of their attention. Not only did they put our dog to sleep using the most gentle touch, but they helped with our family's emotional loss. Their staff even took time to sit eye to eye and talk to our child and offer her momentos to remember our dog. They talked us through a difficult time for as long as we needed and listened as we shared stories to help ease our sadness. We were not the only customers in the building, but the staff went out of their way to make us feel like we were.
Sarah Cuda: We brought our cat here for a urinary blockage which is a very serious and time sensitive issue. They took nearly the whole day while we waited outside for several hours to finally talk to us. The whole time they mislead is to believe they were treating him. Once they finally explained to us that they didn't know what was wrong and that tests and treatment would be more than the cost of my car and even then they weren't hopeful he'd be okay. Being young and not having the several thousands of dollars they expected us to give them we had no choice but to take him home and seek treatment elsewhere. When they gave him back to us he was freezing still soaked in his own urine and they clearly just left him unattended in a cold kennel the entire time that they were supposedly treating him. They didn't give him any fluids or even the decency of a warm bed all day and still charged us hundreds for wasting our time. I blame them for his death. By the time I got him back everywhere was closed and there was no where else I could take him. He passed away that same night. Don't ever come here. They are cruel scam artists with no care for animals or the people who love them. Unless you're rich.
Jane Doe: I came here in December for surgery consultation for my cat. She had a grade I adenocarcinoma, and Dr. Hans kept my expectations realistic but told me a mastectomy was worth it in her case because her health was otherwise splendid. Thankfully, it was the lowest malignancy with no spread, and they carried out a full mastectomy with overnight stay. They were attentive to her needs and my own, and through the entire recovery period, they answered every single annoying email and call I had for them, every tiny concern and not, and I can't thank them enough for being so understanding. Props to the surgery department and to the reception. Wonderful people all around. I'm thankful I can still spend time with my baby.If you see this, let me know if you'd like me to bring some custard pies over, I've pondered making some and bringing them but wasn't sure if I could/should.
Monique: It’s unreasonably expensive & they are afraid of black people. They will call the cops on you for no reason because they see you as disposable. Another customer had to help me talk sense into them.
Dotty Link: Sun. Dec 11,22 we noticed our GSD 9yrs old panting steadily. After an x-ray confirmed his heart was up off his sternum we were off to Blue Pearl.Surgery to repair a collapsed lung was preformed 12/14/22. A VERY expensive surgery with a high survival rate. 2 weeks recovery, we still went slow. Now 3/2/23, playing ball, totally himself! Thanks BP, Drs and wonderful staff/techs for saving our GSD Koro! We got constant praise on him.
Olivia Rita: If I can give negative reviews I would. Go anywhere else. I called them and asked to take my cat out and they told me they were busy so I couldn’t get him. I told them to stop charging my bill and they said ok and charged me for another day because they wouldn’t allow me to get him the same day since they were busy. All I wanted to do was pick him up. They also said my cat needed at least a $13,000 surgery. I talked to two vets and they said no surgery needed. This place is a scam and they do not care about humans or animals. They acted like it was an emergency and my cat was gonna die when he was completely fine. Do not go here ever. Also, before I left the hospital on the first day they would not let me look at him acting like he’s gonna die and I couldn’t even see him. No trust to this place. Such a scam. They want to you leave with a pointless 20k bill.
