Tri-County Endocrinology: what do users think?
Deborah White: I do not even want to give this place a one-star review. My husband was seen on 4/19/23 @ this office & was treated horribly! The office mgr was disrespectful to him and after a verbal altercation btw my husband and this office mgr, he was told never to return. This office overcharged for his last office visit according to insurance statements we received, and yet this office mgr wanted him to pay the same amt again without his having received any statement from them showing a credit from his last visit. This drs office is apparently scamming people. It's a minimal amt that is left over after insurance pays, and this office mgr made a huge deal over it being paid in advance for this visit, and yet she doesn't even have the correct amt that would be owed after insurance pays. My husband still hasn't received a statement from them for the last pymt made for the office visit on February 1st of this year. I cannot believe the treatment he received from this person!
Scotty: Now I never write reviews, I’m generally a very patient and understanding person. I understand short staffing happens, I understand many doctors offices are very busy, mistakes happen, etc etc.The doctor is great, however just like everyone else is saying, the office staff is quite the opposite. I have spent hours on hours trying to get someone to answer the phone, they will not answer or call you back. Their doctor referred me to another specialist, which I literally cannot make an appointment with unless this office faxes documents. Well here we are on our 2nd or 3rd week trying to get someone to answer the phone or call me back. At this point I think just showing up at their office is the only way to get someone to do anything. At one point the doctor called me regarding test results that came back. I politely asked her to relay the message to her staff that I need this documents faxed in order to get an appointment. Gave her all the info. Still nothing a week later.
Mitchel Gardner: I have literally called ten times with no answer. The staff here are very unprofessional. It is hard to get then to authorize refills for my scripts as well. Do not waste your time with these people as they will certainly waste yours
S. G.: I adore Dr. Langer. Somehow he always takes his time, is very thorough, but I've never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes in the waiting room. I never feel rushed and he is so thorough, you'll be blown away at the level of care he provides. I dread the day he retires. However, the office staff are terrible. It's not even their fault! There seems to be a high turn over because I usually only recognize one girl, Jessie, there. She is amazing and truly does her very best. She gives "multitasking" a new meaning! Of all the times I've called, I usually get her, which means there isn't enough staff in the phones. They really just need some one specifically to answer the calls and nothing else! This office is so high call volume, you're lucky if you can get through, even to schedule an appointment! I always make sure I schedule before I leave and try to avoid calling if at all possible because you may not get through for DAYS and only sometimes does the answering service pick up but that's not guaranteed either. If you can get in to see Dr. Langer, you'll be glad you did. He's aware of the call volume and often gives 2-3 refills on meds/or until your next appointment so you're not forced to fight to get through the phones.
Sharon Duda: Dr. Andrews is a very kind doctor. Her office manager however, Sandy; makes it impossible to use this office. I don’t want to get into the details, but she is impossible. Rude, and unwilling to return a email, or call me to resolve the issue. I ended up having to move on, and I’m actually very sad about it. Dr. Andrews is a great doctor.
Karen Blaisdell: I had an appt as a new patient that I had to cancel due to illness. I canceled 2 days prior. They charged me $100 no show fee. I went to the office to show them my phone and thr day I called. I continue to get this bill and now they are threatening to put me in collections. So unprofessional and ridiculous.
Denise Peavler: Worst doctor office ever. They don't return calls. Complain about being short staffed and can't get through on phone. Go somewhere else!!!
Samantha Shue: I am a former employee. The doctors are great however the office manager Sandy is a nightmare. She plays favorites with staff and patients so if you call requesting an appointment she will tell you it's a long wait but will cancel a new patient appointment for a patient she likes. If a patient comes in with a problem she WILL NOT deal with the patient she will claim she is busy and leave her underpaid/overworked staff to deal with the patient even though she is the office manager then tell the employee they should have handled the situation differently. She illegally is charging patient's prior authorization fees, and patient assistance fees, and if she doesn't know a patient's copay she charges them $75 instead of billing the insurance company and then informing the patient of their copay. She will promise patients and employees things then lie and say she never said anything like that. She tries to make her employees change their doctor's appointments to days that is more convenient for her. The office has lost so many patients because of the office manager, however, they will not replace her because she is the doctor's wife. Sandy never takes accountability for her actions. She also committed insurance fraud when she was the diabetes educator (dietitian) and never got in trouble for it because she is the doctor's wife. She treats patients and employees like they are below her. BEWARE of this office manager she is a living NIGHTMARE.
Janice Rakoczy: Waited for results for 2 days, it was on rush. They never got back to me. Clinical assistant doesn't answer phone
julie menovcik: They are working on Mound Road and it is rather difficult trying to cut through the construction. Missed the appt, staff was so rude! Asked if they should run out with a flag!
Nicole Cz: I’ll spare you all the details. I’ve had 6 different interactions with this office and they’re rude, no communication and clearly severely understaffed. I once again and on hold for 25 mins and still holding to speak with someone. And when asked if I can hold and I said no after holding 20 mins, I was told, “well there is only 2 of us.” And placed on hold. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ally Susalla: I shared the same experience as CNAD who posted as well. I had to cancel my appointment the morning of my appt due to a Covid exposure and testing not back yet. I thought I was doing the responsible thing. I was told that Bethany the nurse pract.did not have anything until May but they were getting a new nurse pract. and did I want to go on the wait list. Two weeks later, I just got a bill for a "no show" fee for $50. I called in and discussed with Sandy. Apparently, there is a protocol where all office staff have to bring you up and log the call if you cancel. Guess what, there is no log of that ever happening. I was told by Sandy that there is no way that the office staff did not bring up my patient information in the computer - because they sit at the computer. We went round and round how humans are fallible. She told me she would check with IT to see if there was a glitch. REALLY?!? I am sorry but IT cannot come to the the conclusion that your employee did not follow protocol. So I pointed out at my last appt, I was not aware you were getting a new Nurse pract. so how would I have that information - how did I get on the waitlist? Well first question - no good answer - second question - odd answer - that everyone goes on the wait list. I was annoyed that it was implied that I am lying (and there has been lack of call backs from the clinical assistant) that a new Dr. would be in my best interest. I called in to get my records sent to a new doctor, I found out that Bethany no longer works there. And I have to go in the office and sign a form to request to get my medical records sent. Totally get it - but it takes up to thirty days because "there is a huge stack of them that need to get done" - THAT SAYS IT ALL!! If you are looking for an Endocrinologist - I would keep looking.
C. Nad: I’ve been going to this practice for several years. Dr. Langer is great but this review is not about him. I received an automated message about my last appointment and chose the option to cancel. I called back to reschedule they said I missed the appointment, I owed $50 and I would have to speak with the office manager to reschedule. Problem is, the office manger will not return my calls. I sent the $50 fee and I’m finding a new doctor because they certainly do not care about my business. I’ve waited for appointments, waited for staff to return my calls and waited in the office on appointment day with little regard for my time but they can cancel me at will? Ridiculous! I was comfortable with Dr. Langer and this practice but I do not recommend them based on this experience.
Kim Khamo: Can't review the doctor because I never saw her, but from what I'm reading I ended up dodging a bullet. I called here and was told my insurance was accepted, waited 2 weeks for my appt and show up to be told my insurance was not accepted there. I've been barely hanging on these last 2 weeks, and out of desperation I asked if I could pay cash and they told me no because if Medicaid found out I could get in trouble. Who's ******* problem is that?? Felt like total discrimination. Right from the start the receptionist was rude. If you've got thyroid problems like I do, save what little energy you have left and don't bother with these clowns.
Emily Sikora: Would have been nice of the office to let me know prior to me showing up for my appointment with Dr. Tobin, who I have been seeing for 15 years that she no longer works there, had ample opportunity.
Olivia willis: It was the best u should go there
Wayne Neva: So far, I have great things to say about this clinic. Wait times we as expected (10-20 minute wait). I saw Ashley (Nurse Practitioner). Very cordial. She consults with Dr Langer. I spoke with him on the same visit. Very good bedside manner.
Kate Golm: Online hours and answering service both stated their hours are until 4 pm. Just called and they are closed already at 3 pm. Answering service stated ‘they always leave early on Fridays.’As if it already isn’t tough enough to have a medical condition, now we also have to deal with the whims of an office staff.
Moppet Girl: Dr. Tobin is my new best friend now❤️❤️😀😀😍😍😁😁☺️☺️🤗🤗😎😎♥️♥️💖💖🎁🎁🍰🍰 Everytime I have to come there the only person I ever want to see is Dr. Tobin because Dr. Tobin is awesome and I like her very much. David Campo
Terry Cooke: No waiting at all, staff was very polite and answered all my questions..Dr. Tobin was very knowledgeable.. Very happy I was referred here..
Ann Pakenas: Have been seeing Dr Langer for several years. Very professional, takes the time to discuss your issues and answer any questions. One of the few doctors who treat you like a person instead of just a patient.

Mohammad A Hammoude, MD: what do users think?
Ashleigh Ramos: Called to make a new patient appt and the young female on the phone was very rude and unprofessional to me. Will be going elsewhere, please be more professional and kind.
Elizabeth Yates: I was trying to get an appointment at several different offices. Kim the office manager was so helpful and informative. Dr. Hammoude came highly recommended by other healthcare professionals. This office cares about their patients and spent time to help get us taken care of.
Christine: First time meeting with him, but by far the best endocrinologist I have met in metro Detroit so far. I have had some bad experiences with endocrinologists in the past, so I was hesitant to see one again, but I am very happy I did. Dr. Hammoude is very professional, respectful, honest, and I got the feeling that he genuinely wants to help me. His staff was incredibly friendly and pleasant (which is sometimes a rarity these days in medical offices) so that was awesome. His office is also newly updated and clean… many doctors overlook the impact this has on patients and their businesses, but Dr. Hammoude does not. This tells me he pays attention to details, invests in his business, and cares how his patients feel while they are there. Very pleased so far, hoping this continues! A+
sue sellers: I miss two appointments in about 6 years, one because I had a stroke and they told me to find another doctor 😡
Teresa Norris: I've seen my fair share of endocrinologists, he was by far the worst. He refused to run more extensive bloodwork other than basic panels that don't tell you much and would not address any of the issues or symptoms I was having from my hypothyroidism. His solution to all of my problems? He told me, "You need to go on a 500-600 calorie a DAY diet". First of all, this coming from ANY medical "professional" is an outrageous and dangerous solution. And second, anyone who knows anything about hypothyroidism knows that weight gain is a SYMPTOM and can only be managed once your thyroid and hormone levels are where they need to be. Also, anyone who is struggling with hypothyroidism knows that yes, weight gain is a very frustrating thing, however, there were other symptoms that were causing more urgent problems for me at the time. In addition to this ridiculous diagnosis, he told me that I had Hashimotos. Upon seeing another doctor after him (I walked out after the weight-loss tip and went to someone else) I discovered that he actually never ran any bloodwork to confirm Hashimotos (A SIMPLE TEST) and just was going on as if I had it. It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible. So I give you a 1.
John Lambrecht: Very nice and knowledgeable doctor. Great updated office as well.
Brenda Nikoriuk: I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism so I went to Dr.Hammoude's office to get medication to fix my problem. I told him what was going on with me and he prescribed me medication. About a year later I went and got blood work done and it determined that I was being severely overmedicated by him. He told me not to change my medication. I got a second opinion elsewhere and they lowered my dosage. Will NOT be returning to Dr. Hammoude's care.*Edit, I went to another endocrinologist and she actually determined why I have Hypothyroidism. I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. Dr. Hammoude didn't even care to look into why I had hypothyroidism or the fact that he was over medicating me.
Kimberly Sabo: Dr. Hammoude is very compassionate and concerned about the care and treatment of each patient he sees. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is treated well and cared for in his office. He wants to make sure everyone is healthy!
Abhi V: Worst doctor. His wrong diagnosis and medications ruined health and life. This practice should be banned and avoided by everyone.
Bev Sutton: What a wonderful experience!! I am so happy I followed my instinct and made the call for my 1st appointment. Dr. Hammonds and his staff are such a blessing in my life. Thank you for the great care, understanding, and thoughtfulness I experience with each visit and call.
Niky Thornton: After having Covid-19 my blood sugars were unmanageable, nothing I did bought my blood sugars to a normal range. Within the last year I saw two different endocrinologist trying to find help, no success. Once I founded Dr. Hammoude, I needed help and was desperate. I explained to him what was going on and how I was feeling, we talked about medication and my diet. He explained to me that this will be a joint effort, he couldn't do all the work on his own, it would take me to assist him. Our visit was different from the other doctors I saw before him. I felt as if he could really help me. I followed his guidelines and in about 3 weeks I saw a major change in my numbers and I wasn't feeling as tired. Finally I had a little more energy! Today make 8 weeks that I've been under his care and my numbers are even better! He was very happy for me today! He even told me I was glowing today!!! I couldn't thank him enough for accepting me as a new patient and working with me.. I'm going to stay with Dr. Hammoude and like he said, hopefully I can leave this horrible disease behind me... It will take some time and I get that, as long as I have him as my leader, I know I'll get there! And his STAFF!!!! ARE AMAZING TOO!!!!!!
Denisse Franco Nieves: does anyone can share a phone number that they actually answer? i have left several voice mails and none had return my call.
Natoki Henderson: Dr. Hammoude is an wonderful doctor that help me control my diabetes. I am a type 2 diabetic and when I first saw Dr. Hammoude, I was skeptical because I had a previous endocrinologist that was not able to get my A1C down or my high blood sugars. Dr. Hammoude worked with me very well. I started off on Metformin 1,000 mg, 2 different insulins, I weighted 183. My A1C was 8.7 and my blood sugars ran 200-300 every day. Dr. Hammoude, helped and I am no longer on Insulin, I weigh 142lbs and I eat basically what I want and Dr. Hammoude taught me how to use the portion control method. I feel good on the inside and I am very grateful for Dr. Hammoude for his professionalism that he and his staff (Trish - Dr. Hammoude secretary) and (Sara Lynn - Dr. Hammoude Certified Medical Assistant) has provided.Thank you all so much.Natoki Henderson
James Galus: I walked up to the office and was greeted by two mice (the actual rodents) chasing each other across the pathway outside. That should have been a sign to abort immediately. The office staff are not kind or caring. I asked for a simple prescription refill of insulin and the staff on the phone told me I had to see my doctor every 3 months to have that done. She then told me to go to my PCP or the ER to get it done. Thanks for turning a non-emergency into one.Additionally, they are extremely old fashioned, paper forms everywhere, and reluctance to use the Beaumont health portal (I think they are afraid of technology). When I asked if they could look at my CGM sensor data, they said they would only take an upload to the portal. Do you see the disconnect here? The only reason this is a 2-star review is that Dr Hammoude himself is very understanding and willing to work with you. Unfortunately, getting past his office staff is just an awful experience.
karen kaczorowski: After a 3 year struggle with my thyroid Dr. Hammoude was able to turn around my symptoms after one visit. He is very kind and patient and he has worked what I think are miracles. I am truly grateful I found him and I would recommend him to anyone suffering from thyroid issues.
Rami Elrefai: My experience with Dr.Hammoude has met above my expectations. The staff is exceptional from the first person that I spoke with to the last person who walk me out. He is professional, friendly, compassionate and concerned about your well being and strives to make sure all your needs are met. My family goes to him and I recommended my friends as well!
Kelley Varga: Dr. Hammoude was extremely patient and thorough with my care. His staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommended Dr. Hammoude's office!
Ashley Hammack: My experience with Dr.Hammoude has been wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable with the upmost concern for patient well being. I highly recommend him to anyone.
Reem Israel: Very personable and approachable Dr. I’m very happy with the results!
Lena Akkad: Dr. Hammoude is a phenomenal physician, extremely caring, thorough and takes his time with his patients. I’m very pleased with my dr!

Endocrine Shores: what do users think?
Wendy Porter: I been a Diabetic since I was 16 years old and my A1c been over 12 my entire life until I came here. Now my A1c is a 7. I never thought I would see this but thanks to this Doctor and God I'm much better. I probably would be dead by now but God sent me to the right Doctor ❤ he really cares and his entire staff. You can't say that about every Doctor office.
michael harlan: Dr and staff are very professional
Nikki Deiro: If you want a doctor that doesn’t give any weight to symptoms and only subscribes to lab results numbers, he’s the guy for you. Unfortunately, I need a doctor to do both.

Andrews Nancy J DO: what do users think?
Okcue Pearson: This place is the worst place for returning calls for test results and making appointments don't hold your breath for a call back just wanted to know if I was ok to go back to work and please don't say because of short staff because it's not that busy all the time
Carol Fahringer: I have been going to Dr. Andrews for about a year or so and I really liked her office was hard to get a hold of,. All of a sudden she no longer takes my priority Medicare insurance but I haven't heard anything from her. I don't know what happened I called priority health and they said she was no longer on there list
Jackie Manfredo: If you are not a current patient of this office don’t waste your time! Only fault I place on Dr. Andrews is for allowing her staff to treat people the way they do. You can leave multiple messages with no response put on hold and they never come back nice trick not really. The staff makes excuses for her PA leave multiple messages for him he never responds. If your lucky enough to get some on the phone and request to speak to the doctor you have to go threw the PA even if you explain you have been waiting over two weeks for a response. Guess what I’m busy also .
jn zam: Please be careful dealing with this office. I have never experienced such disrespect.
Shelley B: Receptionist will not make an appointment for my mother until Dr faxes over demographics, blood work and chart notes? Which we will be getting tomorrow at PCP. Then I was told after Dr faxes over above wait a week to schedule appointment after that?? Really.Guess that this Dr Nancy Andrews Endocrine, policy states no appointment until everything is faxed in so 2 more weeks out she may then schedule for new patient.
James: Beware They just want your money. They don’t care about you. Nancy Andrews. Is horrible. She walks in says HI. Talks to you for 2-3 mins out the door. 👎🏼
Ken Campbell: Staff is rude as hell
Karen Mcmurray: I’ve been a patient for 30 years. I drive almost an hour to see her 3X a year. I feel confident in her. She listens, she doesn’t rush, she up to date on the lastest technology and she cares about her patients. As with any office sometimes the staff can be short. But she has an assistant you can always reach. I highly recommended.
Chertera Durham: Dr. Andrews was very cold. She took no concern in my health as a person. She continually forced me for test and every time I came into her office, she had no answers; only more tests. She prescribed tests that had absolutely nothing to do with my condition and refused to write the prescription needed. I've consulted many other doctors, and they have all informed me that I should of started my medication last year when she first diagnosed me. I would not recommend this "specialist" whom it took me 3 months to even get an appointment with. Do your homework before you take on some grand 'referral'. To me it seemed like it was all about a check for her.
