Flaming Grill Family Dining: what do users think?
anjeza Vukaj: Absolutely the best dining experience! I came in with my family and they accommodated me to perfection. My coffee was topped with out having to ask or wave anyone down. Ordered my food and came out at a timely manner. The food was DELICIOUS. Hats down to the chef! The owner is truly a gentlemen, he made me feel so at home! Thank you to the flaming grill family for an amazing eating experience! I will be eating here for years to come!

Greg Johnson: 5/5 - Family owned and operated, good food with a quick turnaround time!I eat here way more than I should. If I had to compare it to anything... I would say a high quality Coney Island. The menu has that kinda feel, but with better food. The owner is always there to welcome you, the wait staff is always happy to see you. The chefs kick out your food super quick. My favorite dishes are the Noah's Skillet, Turkey Delight, and cream of mushroom soup. They also have awesome fries!Parking: Limited spots.

Reemon Youno: We were going to this place every Sunday for breakfast. Today we had see the owner grabbing plate of meat out of the big garbage bin and going to the kitchen. Look like he was short in meat.
Stacie Booth: A very nice, friendly family restaurant. They were willing to accommodate a group of 15 on a Saturday night. The service was exceptional and the food was very good! This was a very nice find!Side note: there was a review about the staff being neglectful towards a "person of color." A couple, who happened to have more melatonin than others, came into the restaurant. They were promptly seated and well attended. Treated just as nicely as everyone else.

Samah Sammoha: We are guests from a different state. This place was recommended to us. So we decided to give them a visit. We were treated very well since we arrived. Pictures on menu don’t give the dishes it’s justice. Food was awesome full of flavors . I highly recommend it to everyone one.♥️

Atheel Goriee: Amazing! I’m picky about Arabic food. Usually it’s only Momma’s. But this place is incredible. It’s FRESH AND CLEAN!!! No shortcuts taken. I’m so impressed. I have a business close by and myself and my crew eat here and takeout weekly. Try it once but be warned it’s addictive.

Tara Nissan: The best food and the best service!! I highly recommend this place.
Karam Brikho: I’ve ordered a few times from here. Food was always good. One of the better middle eastern restaurants in the area. There dining room is also very nice.
Gisele Marques: My whole family got sick after eaten the meat.Flavor is good but it probably the meat screw up. Definitely I DO NOT recommend.
Andrei Alves: after I visited this place to have dinner with my family yesterday. Today, my whole family is feeling unseasy, and stomachaches and diarrhea... I reported!
VJDIM19: The best muthaf%ckin place I’ve ever been to yallah habibi!!! Great food great people.
Hussein Ali: A lovely place, with amazing customer service. Food was very delicious, and unique. Highly recommended to try!!
Soso Denha: My all time favorite restaurant!! Best food, amazing owners, great costumer service. I highly recommend.
Sabrina Donha: Been coming here since they opened. Very clean restaurant with fast and friendly staff. The food is always delicious
bianca salloumi: Very good authentic food! Clean place and friendly staff! Definitely will be back!
Tiaraa Weems: Order a lamb chop dinner . Didn’t have the option of soup or salad. Instead I was giving the chose of bean or potato stew (which is new for me because I go to Mediterranean all the time and it’s soup or salad and fries or rice) the lamb chops were unseasoned and very wild tasting as if they didn’t marinate or season/cook it well at all. No veggie preparation or anything just not what I was looking for. Also the food had a very disturbing smell and I knew instantly I was going to be disappointed. Lastly they were extremely over prized !
S K: Hands down some of the best Iraqi food you'll eat. We always get the 6 person platter and it's enough to feed 10 adults. Quality is superior compared to any other place around. Thinking of getting a platter today as I'm writing this review.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Falafel Plate, Lentil Soup, Mixed Grill, Falafel, Beef Shawarma, Iraqi Salad, Chicken Kabob, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Shawarma, Tabouli, Beef Kabob, Falafel Sandwich, Hummus and Pita Bread Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

Frank LiBretto: The food here was absolutely delicious. The combo plates offer food true to the estimate amount of people they will serve. We ordered a combo for 3 people and it was more than enough food for 2 people. A little bit of tea at the end of our meal helped selttle the food in our stomachs. The place was very busy and loud which makes it hard to hear your company talking but who cares if you are stuffing your mouth with delicious food. They also offer takeout if you prefer to eat at home and skip the wait.
ibrahim shaba: Im a customer always in Ishtar restaurant and before a couple days i saw hair in food. Amd today also i saw hair in my salad fatosh shaworma. So im so mad and disappointed

Delicious and fresh! I was immediately transported to the land far away…I recommend this place to everyone!Order lentil soup. And hope they serve you that tea with a flair!
Robert Frederick: Was brought here by a friend who is from Iraq. Food was amazing, best Middle Eastern food I've ever had. Very nice inside. Highly recommend. k asterbadi: I walked into this Iraqi restaurant with expectations as high as the city's skyline, courtesy of the strong recommendations from friends. Unfortunately, I found myself navigating through an underwhelming culinary experience. The Shawerma, a dish that should be teeming with flavor, was disappointingly bland. The Meat Teshreeb, while passable, was a far cry from the rich, hearty stew I had anticipated. The one redeeming element of the meal was the Meat Kebab, which was expertly prepared and burst with flavor. This standout dish offered a tantalizing glimpse into the potential of this restaurant, making the overall disappointment even more poignant. What further marred the experience was the service. Despite being generally attentive, there was an unsettling rush attached to it. It felt as if there was an invisible clock, pushing us towards the exit a bit too soon, stripping away the leisurely enjoyment of the meal.Given these experiences, this restaurant doesn't make the cut for my future dining choices in the city. Despite its potential, it falls short in delivering a truly satisfying and authentic Iraqi culinary experience. A revisit seems unlikely unless significant improvements are made
Koki Koki: Unfortunately it was better before . I took mixed grilled and the chicken was dry ,the meat was bad quality ,the chicken kabab was like you eat a fat.. not worth the expensive price at all.The only think i liked was the service .Food: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Isla Detroit: what do users think?
Michael Ma: An island in the middle of Sterling Heights. Very very good food! I stopped in and tried the Tropical Ube Cake, Buko Halo Halo, and the crispy pork. The pork was amazingly crispy, even more than a pork rind. The Buko Halo Halo had such good sweet flavors too.Highly recommend this place if you want something different and tasty!
Samah Gabrail: I had a really good and positive experience at Isla Filipino Cuisine. This was my first time trying Filipino food and my first time at this restaurant. The owners of the restaurant were really nice and professional. The restaurant was clean. The food and desserts were really good. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Ashley Lynn: Delicious food! I loved my meal and my bfs. They give you quite a bit of food so it's worth the price.
Craig M.: Drove 20 minutes to meet a friend arrived well before the posted closing to a piece of paper on the window saying closed just on Saturday if they're going to close they should update the internet as most people use the internet to check on a restaurant before they go there very disappointed. I was looking forward to trying Filipino cuisine, probably won't go back. Don't like my time being wasted.
A Z: To start off, the dessert was amazing, but everything else was pretty lacking for me sadly. Upon entering the store, there wasn't anyone at the counter until a few minutes later. I ordered the chicken Adobo, and sadly it tasted pretty mediocre, a little too salty if anything. It was just a bunch of rice and chicken and a little pricy, but nothing too special sadly. I do appreciate the generous amount of chicken and rice that was given, so much that I made a second meal out of it for dinner, but I just wish there was more flavor to it. That's just my opinion though, you might really like it! Highly recommend the dessert though!
Amy Babcock: The food here's fantastic, and I absolutely loved my time dining here. While the place isn't that big, it has large portions and a decent menu. The only thing their missing is fountain pop, but they do bring out big jugs of water for your table.Place isn't cheap, but you do get a ton of food. Even for the heartiest of appetites', you'll still bring home leftovers.

Shawn Kind: Great service wonderful food We really enjoyed my wife's birthday at this fantastic Filipino restaurant in Sterling heightsWheelchair accessibility: I saw a ramp and the door looks accessible for a wheelchair
William Vosotros: I’ve visited them a few times when they were still in downtown Detroit. Their menu seems to get shorter on this new location. Nevertheless, I always order their pork & beans, & it doesn’t disappoint as always. My friends tend to have a not-so-good review of this place but I always end up leaving full & satisfied.
Winter Rose: Amazing food. We had chicken adobo and the Pancit. Will definitely be back. The couple that run it were very sweet too. We're excited to try the Halo Halo next time.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pancit Palabok, Chicken Adobo …More
Lawrence: So good! Just what we needed. Been living in the Metro Detroit area and so glad to have a go-to place to have some Filipino food!
Ay Nako!: . We found this restaurant from a Google search and decided to drive the additional 15 or so minutes to give it a try. My wife was born and raised in the Philippines, so she is always looking for Filipino restaurants, as we lack such places in the Cincinnati area. Anyway, Isla has the best chicken inasal I've had since our last Philippines visit in 2016! I only wished the portion was larger, but any remaining space in my stomach was quickly filled with an amazing banana fritter. I must also mention that the spicy sauce we got with the chicken inasal is easily one of the best sauces I've ever tasted in my life (and I am a huge sauce person
Reneh Gelladuga: Delicious. Tasted like home. Came on a Wednesday and it was nice and slow. Inside is super clean and modern, there’s about five small tables and another seating area near the window, so be conscious of what day and time you’re coming. We dined in and were given menus and were told to come back up front when ready to order. We chose the chicken inasal and lechon kawali. For desert I was originally going to choose the Cashew Sans Rival that was on their little dessert sheet, but luckily Tita Jacqueline asked if we wanted Turon and or Halo Halo, we said yes to both and was not disappointed.Food took about 15 minutes, but Filipino food can take a long time to cook, so I was happy to wait. The food was amazing. It tasted like home, and it was certainly made with love. The portions are perfect. Lechon wasn’t too salty, but still had a crispy bite. Inasal was packed with flavor. And I don’t know what it is about their white jasmine rice, but it tasted wonderful, the fried garlic bits on top really made a difference.Tita Jacqueline also seemed to be conscious of the time frame of where we were in our meal, because just as we were finishing up our entrees, the Halo Halo and Turon were being served. I really really appreciated that it timed out like that.Halo Halo was delicious (and messy as it should be) and the Turon was perfectly cooked. The Halo Halo tasted like the ones from home. And I appreciated the flaky, not overly sweet Turon.I felt as though the prices were a tad bit expensive, but I know Filipino food can require a lot of time and resources to cook to make it taste properly. The Owners were very nice and friendly, and I can’t wait to see them again when I have another pinoy food craving. The palabok and Batchoy is next on my list!
Nia H: Amazing food!!

Savannah Byrd: This place is a hidden gem. I’ve been a few times now and can’t say enough about it. The chicken adobo and turon dessert are my favorites. For takeout, it can take a while so order well in advance. The wait is definitely worth it though.Recommended dishes Chicken Adobo …More

Summer Alkhafaji: The service was GREAT.. The buffet had a very large assortment of main course items. The desserts did not taste right at all, they were old and everything was made out of cheap boxed cake not even a good quality boxed cake! The fruits were good and fresh. The main reason I went there was for the Iraqi dolma, which was okay but a tiny bit extra sour. We love dolma sour but this was way over board. Hopefully it will improve in the future! For a total 30 dollars per person I think the quality could improve perhaps :)
