laura otto: I took their CPL course and I loved it! Robert was my instructor and he was absolutely amazing!! I learned a lot from the course and feel super confident in my abilities. I would absolutely recommend anyone come here and take the class, purchase a firearm, or even have a custome made holster. Everyone there is super friendly and very knowledgeable about firearms as well as the laws.

Diane Whyte: Each instructor was experienced and had much patience with us. Definitely feel more comfortable and confident after finishing the class.
Ian Parks: Safety and Responsibility. That is what they teach at Ultimate Protection Academy. I started my training late 2021 and have been coming back ever since and have respected Al, Mary, and the other instructors and students for making this place a cut above every other range, always pushing for safety and not compromising on it. If anyone asked me where to go or who they should take classes with I would only recommend UPA.

Dan Novotny: I have been around and used guns, since a very young age. I took my CPL class a few years ago at Accurate Firearms in Clarkston Michigan. This year I decided to take some additional classes and was referred to Ultimate Protection Academy by one of the salesman at Williams Gun Site. I signed up with UPA for a series of four classes. I have completed the holster one & two classes. I was amazed at the differences between Accurate Firearms & UPA. To be honest it was a reality check. A half hour in to the first class I realized that I had taken the responsibility of concealed carry for granted. The instruction was highly focused with attention to detail, safety, understanding your equipment, handling and shooting of your firearm, etc. most importantly, they teach you how to survive if God forbid you are put in a situation where you have to defend life with your firearm. I highly recommend Ultimate Protection Academy for CPL, or any of the other classes they offer.
Joe Taminski: Just took thier basic handgun class with Roel. He was amazing and taught everything a new gun owner should know before purchasing a firearm. I took advantage of thier 4 class package deal and they are going to walk me through the process of selecting not only what caliber but also make of gun. Highly reccomend coming here if you are new to shooting. This was my first time getting instruction and they significantly improved my accuracy.
louise slang: I signed up the class on March 11th, The place and all their staff and trainers are so nice and friendly. Mary was super patient while on the phone with me, explained everything in a very detail fashion. Our class consisted a very diversified group, ages from 20s' to 60s'; from Indian, Chinese nationalities, African American to Caucasion.Trainer Roel provided above and beyond, step by step instructions to us. It was truly a knowledge and fun combined session for us beginners. I recommand take this basic fire arms & shooting class, it"s money well spent and worth it.- Louise

Jimmy Buckets: Don’t waste your time. Literally you will waste your day for a CPL class. A lot of waiting around and a lot listening to political rants. $37 for 30 rounds of ammo as well. If you sign up plan on being here for 10 hours. This was a one and done for me.
Ambience Corruption: Good lesson and teaching from Angela. The hostess and mascot were very professional and kind, as well.

I have enrolled in additional classes.Update: I have taken additional classes at UPA and each time there is reinforcement of things I have previously learned and more importantly new things learned. The instructor has helped me refine my shooting style and corrected things I was doing wrong. I highly recommend taking classes at UPA. If you don't currently own a firearm but you are thinking off getting one, then you definitely should take classes at UPA. They have a variety of firearms that you can borrow to take the classes. This way you can get a better idea of what type of firearm best suits you.

Sonja Harris: It was my second time on a gun range, 1st I took their basic hang gun class and then their CCW/CPL class. Taking the basic hand gun class first was very important because it taught me the safe handling of a handgun and the proper steps to take before ever shooting a weapon. I was also pleased with their trainers because of their patient. They took the time to make sure I understood and was able to perform the tasks of shooting a handgun safely.

Joel Morris: Very upsetting. I wanted to give my business to a local store. I went in to purchase a rifle shown as a great priced package and of course they didn't have it even though it showed in stock. Instead I purchased their recommended replacement and accessories based on trust. Unfortunately the price I paid for the rifle was almost $200 more than comparable rifles and double price on the accessories compared to SEVERAL other stores. I feel taken advantage of. I could have saved over $300 total if I would have researched what they suggested instead of expecting honest service.

Atlas AtlasJewelers: I just picked up my second AR platform custom build from IFA. Moe was was so helpful the first time around on the 5.56 build, I wanted to come back again for the 300 Blackout. I knew what I wanted performance-wise, but I am not going to pretend to know how to do it and did not want to spend hours and hours and hours doing my own research homework to end up with mediocre results. Their advice on parts and accessories come from years of experience. Since this is not just a hobby for them, you can take their love, knowledge, passion and advice for the sport with confidence.
Jordan Anderson: IFA Tactical is my primary FFL and I always have a great experience here. These folks are knowledgeable and I enjoy the transparency; they never steer you in the wrong direction. MD is my go-to person to deal with and I am always learning something from him. Not only that, but he is extremely helpful in sourcing particular guns and he goes above/beyond to help with builds. David Albrecht: Stopped in to see about acquiring a Desert Eagle in 50AE. I am aware that they are difficult to get, but I got the impression that the person was not interested in talking to me since he took a phone call while repairing what appeared to be a 1911 on the counter while I am trying to have a conversation with him. If he was trying to convey the "why are you bothering me' vibe, mission accomplished! Not that this is always relevant but the place looks more disorganized than my teenage daughter's bedroom. I do not plan to return.

They always seem to have the new cool stuff that just came out, great knowledgeable people who will help you; what more can you ask for in a gun shop? The vaping Native American guy also did a great job fixing my Mossberg.

R Rychcik: I took the class on April 22, 2022. Rick and Scott are very personable, professional and knowledgeable gentleman. I had very little experience firing a hand gun and limited knowledge of gun laws and gun safety.They were very patient with me and everyone in our class. The class was small ( 4 people, 2 men and 2 ladies). The class was very thorough and included a lot of discussion with plenty of opportunities for question and answers. When we finished with the classroom portion of the class I felt very confident in my knowledge of Gun laws and gun safety.I went to the range with Scott. He made me and everyone else feel very comfortable as well as very confident firing and handling our hand guns.I highly recommend this class to everyone looking to get certified or to further your training.
