Zarzoor Restaurant: what do users think?
Alaa Saleem: High quality food, very good service, friendly atmosphere.Book earlier or you will wait for a spot.We enjoyed the taste of our Iraqi cuisine.Prices normal to high ( everything is expensive know).
Melad Shamoun: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Anna ###: حلو ونظيف واكله طيب
Daoud Baalbaki: I got Tikka Beef and Saj Shawarma a fattoush and baba gounush. I’ll start off with the goods things which were the baba gounush and Beef tikka. The salad was a 7/10 and the Saj Shawarma was honestly horrible. The chicken tasted like it’s been a day or 2 old and the fries looked like they were taken from another plate. Service wasn’t all that waiter just wanted us to order and they were slow as well. Probably won’t come again.
Mariel Sarim: Very good Iraqi and Arabic selection of food. Has a very nice atmosphere and very clean. I ordered Quzi Zarzoor and it was delicious. Our waiter Ahmed was very sweet and and a very hard worker. Will come again!
Zee: The restaurant is very pretty on the inside, however, I feel like there were more cons than pros.1. We waited almost an hour to get seated because they don’t take reservations.2. Our server literally took our order and never came back, we had other people bringing us our food. The only time he came back was when he gave us the bill. We kept having to ask other servers for water or napkins, and they wouldn’t bring them to us. They would tell our server but he never came.3. It’s very loud. The music is very loud, which I’m not sure why because with all the people in there, it’s already loud enough. They should lower it a little and not try to drown out the sound of the people.4. The food was alright. It wasn’t the greatest but it was also not the worst I’ve ever tried.5. They are very overpriced, for 2 people, we paid around $70-$80 and that’s just with 2 entrees and soup.I probably wouldn’t come here again. It was nice to try it once.
Sara: WORST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD AROUND. I literally would never go here again. The portions are ridiculously small. And when the food came out the rice was undercooked and the meat was cold. The guy in “charge” that night was the rudest unprofessional person I’ve met. I told him as politely as possible and he got confrontational and chased us around as I refused to argue any further. When I simply asked them why there was no shawarma the server pointed to a kabob and said it was shawarma. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This place is not worth the $.

Sana Khan: We came here as a group of six for my sisters birthday.. The attentiveness, patience and accuracy of Ahmed and the zarzoor team was incredible. My family is very picky and does not go out to eat often. But this is a place we will definitely visit again.Clean, friendly, professional, organized.Food was INCREDIBLE. Large portions. This was the absolute best and freshest hummus we have ever had. You cannot beat the hot fresh bread and the light refreshing chai.We got a combo for 5, lentils soup, fattosh salad and mixed platter snd we will have left over for days.Come hungry because you will not be disappointed.
Zafar Khan: ordered mixed appetizers, some lamb with rice, mix kabob and lentil soup. everything was good. went in ramadan they served the shahina. everything was good
Will B: One of the newer best restaurants in the area. The food was very fresh, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and it was a nice and clean place on the inside. If you are in the Sterling Heights area and looking for authentic Iraqi food, this is one of the places to try.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Shawarma, Kobab, Chicken Cream Chop, Lentil Soup, Shawarma, Mix Appetizer Sampler Platter, Chicken Kabab, Appetizer Platter, Hummus, Zarzor Kabab, Fries, Beef Shawarma, Lamb Chops …More

Meg W: I order a chicken shawarma plate, asked for rice and extra garlic/bread- which I paid for. I clearly got everyone’s left over dried chicken, no rice or garlic, and undercooked fries. They were sure to give me mayo and ketchup, for what reason I’m not sure. The place is beautiful but the food wasn’t enjoyable.
Alex Harlem: Ahmed is the best server, we had so much fun, food is amazing , he is super nice and professional
Lily S: I’d have to say, Iv lived in Michigan for 3 years and This is the best Iraqi restaurant I ordered food from and the only one I like so far 😂👍I hope the quality doesn’t change over time.
Simona V: To say the food was mouthwatering and absolutely delicious would be an understatement. Everything from the hummus to the garlic sauce was spectacular and made my tastebuds go crazy. The bread was different than any other bread I’ve had, in a good way. The inside of the restaurant gives off a fancy Dubai sort of vibe. We ordered the Combo for two and it was brought out on a very large fancy platter. So much food and it was sooooo sooo delicious! We enjoyed every bite. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a beautiful lunch with the girls or a fancy dinner.
Sukhi Ajimal: The meat here is the best I’ve had for a very long time. Very tender, cut well, marinated, tastes absolutely amazing. Isla Detroit: what do users think?
Michael Ma: An island in the middle of Sterling Heights. Very very good food! I stopped in and tried the Tropical Ube Cake, Buko Halo Halo, and the crispy pork. The pork was amazingly crispy, even more than a pork rind. The Buko Halo Halo had such good sweet flavors too.Highly recommend this place if you want something different and tasty!
Samah Gabrail: I had a really good and positive experience at Isla Filipino Cuisine. This was my first time trying Filipino food and my first time at this restaurant. The owners of the restaurant were really nice and professional. The restaurant was clean. The food and desserts were really good. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Ashley Lynn: Delicious food! I loved my meal and my bfs. They give you quite a bit of food so it's worth the price.
Craig M.: Drove 20 minutes to meet a friend arrived well before the posted closing to a piece of paper on the window saying closed just on Saturday if they're going to close they should update the internet as most people use the internet to check on a restaurant before they go there very disappointed. I was looking forward to trying Filipino cuisine, probably won't go back. Don't like my time being wasted.
A Z: To start off, the dessert was amazing, but everything else was pretty lacking for me sadly. Upon entering the store, there wasn't anyone at the counter until a few minutes later. I ordered the chicken Adobo, and sadly it tasted pretty mediocre, a little too salty if anything. It was just a bunch of rice and chicken and a little pricy, but nothing too special sadly. I do appreciate the generous amount of chicken and rice that was given, so much that I made a second meal out of it for dinner, but I just wish there was more flavor to it. That's just my opinion though, you might really like it! Highly recommend the dessert though!
Amy Babcock: The food here's fantastic, and I absolutely loved my time dining here. While the place isn't that big, it has large portions and a decent menu. The only thing their missing is fountain pop, but they do bring out big jugs of water for your table.Place isn't cheap, but you do get a ton of food. Even for the heartiest of appetites', you'll still bring home leftovers.

Shawn Kind: Great service wonderful food We really enjoyed my wife's birthday at this fantastic Filipino restaurant in Sterling heightsWheelchair accessibility: I saw a ramp and the door looks accessible for a wheelchair
William Vosotros: I’ve visited them a few times when they were still in downtown Detroit. Their menu seems to get shorter on this new location. Nevertheless, I always order their pork & beans, & it doesn’t disappoint as always. My friends tend to have a not-so-good review of this place but I always end up leaving full & satisfied.
Winter Rose: Amazing food. We had chicken adobo and the Pancit. Will definitely be back. The couple that run it were very sweet too. We're excited to try the Halo Halo next time.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pancit Palabok, Chicken Adobo …More
Lawrence: So good! Just what we needed. Been living in the Metro Detroit area and so glad to have a go-to place to have some Filipino food!
Ay Nako!: . We found this restaurant from a Google search and decided to drive the additional 15 or so minutes to give it a try. My wife was born and raised in the Philippines, so she is always looking for Filipino restaurants, as we lack such places in the Cincinnati area. Anyway, Isla has the best chicken inasal I've had since our last Philippines visit in 2016! I only wished the portion was larger, but any remaining space in my stomach was quickly filled with an amazing banana fritter. I must also mention that the spicy sauce we got with the chicken inasal is easily one of the best sauces I've ever tasted in my life (and I am a huge sauce person
Reneh Gelladuga: Delicious. Tasted like home. Came on a Wednesday and it was nice and slow. Inside is super clean and modern, there’s about five small tables and another seating area near the window, so be conscious of what day and time you’re coming. We dined in and were given menus and were told to come back up front when ready to order. We chose the chicken inasal and lechon kawali. For desert I was originally going to choose the Cashew Sans Rival that was on their little dessert sheet, but luckily Tita Jacqueline asked if we wanted Turon and or Halo Halo, we said yes to both and was not disappointed.Food took about 15 minutes, but Filipino food can take a long time to cook, so I was happy to wait. The food was amazing. It tasted like home, and it was certainly made with love. The portions are perfect. Lechon wasn’t too salty, but still had a crispy bite. Inasal was packed with flavor. And I don’t know what it is about their white jasmine rice, but it tasted wonderful, the fried garlic bits on top really made a difference.Tita Jacqueline also seemed to be conscious of the time frame of where we were in our meal, because just as we were finishing up our entrees, the Halo Halo and Turon were being served. I really really appreciated that it timed out like that.Halo Halo was delicious (and messy as it should be) and the Turon was perfectly cooked. The Halo Halo tasted like the ones from home. And I appreciated the flaky, not overly sweet Turon.I felt as though the prices were a tad bit expensive, but I know Filipino food can require a lot of time and resources to cook to make it taste properly. The Owners were very nice and friendly, and I can’t wait to see them again when I have another pinoy food craving. The palabok and Batchoy is next on my list!
Nia H: Amazing food!!

Kristin Roberts: They know what they are doing. I love the shrimp palabok, spaghetti and chicken wings, pork and chicken adobo.Best dessert is the cashew sans rival and the jackfruit one!I literally keep coming back to them cuz they are that good!
Savannah Byrd: This place is a hidden gem. I’ve been a few times now and can’t say enough about it. The chicken adobo and turon dessert are my favorites. For takeout, it can take a while so order well in advance. The wait is definitely worth it though.Recommended dishes Chicken Adobo …More
