Eastwick Square Townhouses: what do users think?
Nicole P: Great community with so many friendly people that treat you like family!
Lyn Smith: I love living here. It's well maintained, affordable, and friendly. I am surprised how quiet it is considering it's so near Gratiot. Are there a lot of community rules? Yes. But they're worth the trade off for having a safe, clean, affordable community. Not perfect, but it's a great place to live.
Edward C. Duncan: Very clean.. quiet.
Heather Glomski: Not enough visitor parking but great community
nicole hollihan: WARNING! I lived there and found it to be a horrible experience. In my opinion, the Board of Directors, hand out fines regularly, are highly unreasonable and they show favoritism to the people they know. I suggest that anyone interested in living there take a drive through and ask some of the residents what they think about the people in charge there and you will get an earful. I knew an elderly lady that was so harassed and fined by the Board Members for parking on or slightly over the parking lot lines that I saw her out with a measuring tape one day checking to see if she was parked far enough from the parking line. They have had convicted felons working on the premises as part of the maintenance team although it is supposed to be forbidden. Again, special allowances made for friends. BE AWARE... when you sell your place, the Board of Directors holds $5,000 for 30 days from the sale to make sure all fees and utilities are paid. I went through the moving out inspection and I had minor repair costs for such things as screen repairs and everything else was okayed. The deduction for repairs was taken from funds at the time of the closing. Later the check was cut for the funds with the hold on them and mailed to me for the full $5,000. The day I received the check I got an email that a stop payment was placed. I was charged retroactively... 44 days AFTER I CLOSED on the property, for an additional $425.00 for electrical repairs. The buyer had an opportunity to have an inspection, I had no knowledge of any electrical issues and no issues were discovered by Eastwick Square’s maintenance man when he did the outgoing inspection. Furthermore, the Purchase agreement clearly stated the sale was final. However, the buyer is a friend of one of the Board Members’s daughter. So I was charged fees AFTER the place was sold for electrical work that needed to be upgraded, instead of the buyer. I sent a formal letter of appeal to the Board of Directors and received no response. I did communicate with one of the owners of Marcus Management, the management company, who sent me an email a few lines long saying my appeal was denied for reasons that were not relevant to the issue at hand and when I responded pointing out inconsistencies and said I was filing a complaint and a law suit in small claims court I was advised to not threaten Marcus Management as they have nothing to do with the Board of Directors or their decision, yet it was Ralph Marcus that communicated the denial to me, not a letter from the Board. The Board of Directors made no efforts to communicate with me . They are highly unprofessional. I never heard from any members of the Board, nor was I asked to attend any meeting on the matter. The Board did not address any points that I raised in my letter they simply seized my funds with nothing to back up their reasoning whereas I providerd proof in the form of documentation to back up my position. If you choose to live there, in my opinion, you are doing so at your own risk for all of the reasons mentioned above.
Tiffany Forsythe: More secure place for my grandmother. Its not only gated but a one way in and out for visitors. Plus the security cameras on every building.
