Glass Academy: what do users think?
Kathie Flack: Super fun to watch the glassblowing demos. They explain what they are doing. Everyone is very friendly. A large showroom filled with beautiful glass items. An awesome place!!
shreecam40: This is an awesome place. Amazing talent here!!!!!
Carmen Contreraz: The extravaganza was just that. The creations, colors the variety of blown glass ware was eye catching and unique . Saw a glass blowingdemonstration. So interesting to see the finished product Made some purchases.Go and have an experience
Muyu Situ: The people here were not understanding about my situation. A huge storm happened the day before and we got 15 inches of snow. I lived in Ann Arbor and the roads were still not cleared. Also my power and heat were down due to the storm so I had to make sure to deal with that. I tried to tell them that it was difficult for me to get there with everything that happened after this huge storm hit. Refused to refund my money or offer me to maybe take an open space in another session.
Michelene D: If you want an unusual experience, that is fun and exciting, this is it. I took my second class today, and it was as exciting as fun as the first. If not a little bit more. I highly recommend this place. You then have a piece of artwork that you have created.
Mary David: This was an awesome experience! So much fun. Great music, super instructors, interesting project. Learned a lot and had fun. We’ll be back!
Sandy Jimerson: Seriously SO Much FUN!!! I went with a friend for a class, I had never done anything like this before. The staff was wonderful & instantly made me feel comfortable & treated us like long time friends! The pieces we made were gorgeous & I of course added more to my collection from their gorgeous gallery!! Love this place & will be back anytime I'm in the area!!!
Maryann Davino: Love these talented humans! I have several pieces they made and love them all!
Donna Beck: The hand blown mugs, slugs, mushrooms, gnomes, bunnies, snowmen, and everything else is so beautiful and high quality! I’d never dreamed I’d be spending as much as I have on all the products! The people who work here are absolutely amazing and down to earth friendly and personable!
Jodi Busch: Excellent artisans! The Glass Academy and. Batch Gallery sell exquisitely handcrafted glass works of art from drink ware to ornaments, home decor and things for the garden. I’m amassing quite a collection and love every unique piece.
kerry methot: I can't recommend this family run business enough! Professional, kind and very informative, I learned so much about glass and the glass making process. The classes are all very relaxed, interactive and fun! The artists Chris Nordin, his son Jacob explained everything they were doing all while taking questions and keeping us laughing along the way.I took the drink ware class and watched them bring my ideas from a colorful chalk sketch to life right in front of my eyes. I found out pretty quickly that no idea seems too crazy while watching other participants creations also.In addition, I went back to take a seasonal class, the percolla reed which is a decorative glass garden accent. I was interested in this class because it can be used tucked into an indoor plant or it can be placed in an outdoor garden year round. They let me pick the colors and I helped to create this reed standing along side the artists, experiencing the heat and feeling what the glass on the end of the pipe really feels like. Not surprisingly, it was much much harder then they make it look. What an incredible opportunity to have some fun after a year of stress! Personally I would call this a destination experience for anyone who loves art, hot glass and likes to have fun new adventures. I flew in from Connecticut curious after watching live shows on their facebook page and on You Tube. I Googled Dearborn Michigan and found there was so much to do in the area. There are numerous hotels at many different price points so it becomes very affordable. Thanks for the fun Glass Academy!PS....plan on shopping in their large beautifully arranged gallery on the day of your class, they give you a 20% off coupon!!
Jody Bernard: I stumbled upon this wonderful small business because of Covid...one of my greatest finds. I'm in Canada, so it's harder to shop because of the exchange and shipping, but I still do it, and it's worth every penny. I love my GA pieces, and I get so excited waiting for my orders to arrive. Amazing customer service, and sign up for their newsletters...and answer a question or two each week and you can win gift cards and free glass. It's legit...I've won two pieces that I watched being made on their live Tuesday evening shows.
Bill Lutz: This family has an awesome talent with hot molten glass. Have had a few custom orders made where they show their amazing knack on a live feed with glass, form it and show you what their talent can do. Give them your imagination and watch what happens. What I can tell you is ? It will be beautiful jaw dropping art. Definitely getting another mug made. I do have to make a choice on which one I bring to fair. ❤️
Miche Mons: What a wonderful experience! I thoroughly enjoyed it and made a beautiful icicle! I highly recommend this place.
Ashley Lightsey-Thompson (LRW): Wonderful class & beautiful gallery!!!
Erin McMackin: We found out about the Glass Academy from their booth at the Renaissance Festival. We were really impressed by the work, so for Christmas I booked a happy hour class as a gift for my husband. We just went and were blown away by the experience! We made mugs and worked with the artists to design each piece. They were super creative and helpful, coming up with killer designs. The final products were way beyond our expectations! The social aspect of the class is also fun as you have the opportunity to mingle with everyone. Very fun, definitely recommend.
Mike Ott: Took the happy hour class and now we have amazing pieces of artwork to drink from! Thanks to all involved, Jake, Joey, Bess, and Abbey. Awesome experience, we will be back!
Henry Andrusz: I received a certificate to come here for a glass experience and had a total blast. Jody and Oliver were great instructors and helped along the way to make this a really fun experience. Today I made a meditation globe (it’s not as easy as it sounds, but they help you every step of the way). I’ll definitely be back again to make something else. Their gallery has a lot of unique and useful art pieces made by various artisans, so this is definitely a nice place to shop for a gift as well. Also thanks to Amy for the tour of the store and shop and the really helpful red haired young lady who’s name I forgot (sorry!!). She was great to work with and very helpful.
Dan Ristovski: What amazing experience! It was great to see how to work with glass
Kasey Evans: Had a great time. Everyone was super friendly and informative. Joey was a great instructor
Robert Naugle: Very hands on. Finished product was gorgeous.

Merry Go Round Stained Glass: what do users think?
Miranda Roark: Excellent selection of sheet glass and stained glass supplies. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can find everything you need for stained glass crafting at fair and competitive prices. They have many beautiful suncatchers, panels, and other pieces available to purchase. Long time family owned business that has been in this location for many years.
Rick Loniecki: Very helpful staff
Mike Steciuk: Great place with great people. My wife and i went to pick out some stained glass for projects and ended up chatting with the owner, collecting tips on improving our work. This will be my goto place for glass!

Diane Newman: Huge selection of stained glass and finished pieces. Very knowledgeable and willing to chat and share ideas and experiences
Angelique Mathews: Excellent service, beautiful merchandise and great deals. I love it and I will be coming back. 😀
Elena Esposito: I am a student getting my BFA in glass and Merry Go Round will forever be my go-to place for any of my kiln formed needs (and i think everyone in my program would agree). If another major says they are headed out there, we all go. Even if we don’t need anything, we still all go. It’s just that good. I would hangout here. They have pretty much everything you will need to complete any stained or fused glass project. Anything they don’t have in store, they will happily order for you. They have 96 and 90 COE sheet glass and frit and are more than happy to help with any and all questions you may have.I recently ordered 3 casting molds from them for $15 each, when everywhere else i looked they were $100 each. I already had two of the $100 molds from Bullseye and the ones Merry Go Round ordered for me are the exact same, in outcome of the piece, quality, durability, etc.If you are currently going to Delphi, Bullseye or anywhere else for your fused/stained glass supplies and needs, make the switch to Merry Go Round. You have about a 0% chance of being disappointed.
Thomas Castellani: So helpful
Kristina Kolatski: The ladies who work here are super kind and knowledgeable! Any questions I have they have the answers too! If I come to them with a problem I’m having, they help me come up with a solution! Their selection is amazing and their prices are fair!
