Brian Mikulka: I used this company for a insurance job in 2014. A tree landed on my house. They had to rebuild part of the roof structure and reroofed the entire house in November. In the summer of 2015 the roof developed a leak. They had to come back for a patch job and take care of the ceiling that was damaged by water. Now on August 1st of 2020, the roof is leaking again in the same area. Called and left a message with no call back as of yet. CaptScamp: My chimney/chase/siding and cap were in need of repairs due to wind damage and just poor construction initially. Michigan’s Handyman dispatched Steve to check out the situation which was anxiety ridden for me. I knew it was not going to be an inexpensive repair and I felt there were going to be many unknowns. Steve engendered much confidence and after talking to him for a little while I knew I had the right outfit to repair my damaged chase/siding/cap. Steve and Joe had the main portion of the work done in one day (a new cap/flashing had to be sent out for fabrication). These guys didn’t even take a lunch break. They followed up in a couple of days to complete the work. I’m very happy with the results and there are many details that I am leaving out here. Suffice it to say these guys are on my short list for future projects.

He went to Home Depot and purchased the parts he needed to fix the leak and then he sealed it with a roofing compound. The result was a fixed leak and a stink pipe flashing the looks very nice. Sam Hoff: I read similar reviews but decided to give them a shot anyway. I called and set up an appointment last Wednesday for the following day (Thursday) at 6:30. No one called and no one showed. It was the end of the day so I assume perhaps the foreman they said would come out forgot. I called the following day (Friday) and said no one showed up or called, the person on the other end of the line said they did see me on the schedule for Thursday and that they would call and find out what happened and either them or the foreman would be calling me back shortly. Friday night I called and left a voicemail saying that no one had called me yet, and to please contact me after the holiday (July 4th was a Sunday). I received no calls. I called back Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening with no answer or response. I understand people may be short staffed and sometimes it's hard to get schedules right, but 1. Please let me know before I sit waiting for you the initial day you said you were coming, I wouldn't waste your time don't waste mine. 2. After receiving my call saying no one showed and you said you'd call back, maybe follow up or at least don't lie about the call back. 3. No one is answering or returning voicemails, which leads me to believe you're not in business, not capable of business, or you don't want to work on my house (which is fine just tell me that). I've now wasted a week waiting in limbo, with them knowing I have an active leak in my ceiling/siding. Glad I was able to have this experience before they took any of my money or did any work on my house, if you can't follow up on multiple phone calls and a missed appointment I'm sure that has a strong correlation on your competency as a business. Be wary.

He came out the same day, and was here the following Tuesday to do the job! Friendly, efficient, affordable, and very clean. He was in and out in 90 minutes! I couldn’t even tell he’d been here, except for a day later, I notice my AC doesn’t run all day, and my house is nice and cool with no humidity! Highly recommend Scott and Brohl’s Insulation!
