After retiring from Military service and moving to the Greenville area to work for the Dept. of Defense I purchased a home that Sentry Construction had previously replaced the roof on. My roof now around four and half years old developed a small leak in a complicated area. Sentry came out, inspected, and repaired it the same day at no cost. I found out later the leak was caused by an issue with a piece of flashing that was installed by another company prior to the new roof. So many companies will give you grief when it comes to warranties and Sentry Construction could have easily done the same, but they didn’t. Laura Casavant: Kyle and Nate were extremely knowledgeable & processional during their roof inspection. I had hail damage, however algae was also the culprit in my roof leak. My insurance adjuster who wanted to deny my claim because of the algae was convinced by Kyle that hail damage was part of the roof deterioration. Kyle went to bat for me and convinced the adjuster to agreed to pay half of the claim, which was SO MUCH better than a denial which I would have gotten if he was not here! As for the actual roofers, they worked fast in removing a single layer of shingles off my house and a double layer off my detached garage. It took approximately one and one half days to complete the whole project. Throughout both days, Kyle would arrive at my house to check on the roofers progress, which helped me feel confident in their workmanship. The roofers were hard workers and professional installers. Sentry’s price was extremely competitive and beat out two other bids I had gotten. They are local and easy to contact. Even after hours I was able to text Kyle with any questions or concerns I had. Never once did he make me feel I was disturbing him. To top it off the roof is beautiful and no more leaks! Thank you Sentry for being such an upstanding company. Buddy Brooks: Sentry Construction replaced the roof of my primary residence 6 months ago and did a repair on another house I own last month. Both went very well and I have had no problems with the installation. They clearly employed workers that were knowledgeable and capable. I was very pleased with the results especially the roof repair. They repaired an area of about 150 square feet and even though the roof was about 10 years old, you can't tell it has been repaired even when standing right in front of it. William Moore: I called this company because of the good reviews, it was a 5 star. They sent out a salesman to talk with us and he was nice then we set everything up. They sent out a crew of people that didn't speak english so, I could not communicate with them. I was set up for a monthly payment in which later they wanted all the money left due at once, which we didn't have. He said that the person that set everything up was fired because he was a recovered drug rehab that relapsed. So, he said that if we gave 6 reviews with 5 stars then we would call it even. 2 years later our roof was leaking around the chimney so, they sent someone out and that person said that the crew that they sent out liked to take short cuts and that was one of them. Virginia Terry: My husband and I were very satisfied with the new roof that Sentry Construction done on our home, but the best was JD coming out to our house after it was done and talked with us. JD is wonderful person to deal with.UPDATE: 8/22/2021 We have a leak in our roof, we have water circles on our ceiling indicating that water has gotten in the attic. After getting another company to come look at it they found that the shingles were not put on well which caused a leak. I called Sentry about the leak and was told that I only had a 2 year warranty on the labor (which I was not informed of at the time of service) and a 30 year warranty on the shingles. Do your homework and ask questions!

The roof was DONE two days after we agreed on an extremely competitive price (which included some repair work at my neighborhood pool for free.) Chi Ho: Warning: Lengthy review…hope you can read to the end…otherwise, skip to the end for my conclusion.I needed a roof replacement and searched online with a few criteria: BBB (Better Business Bureau) highest rating established for years, no negative customer reviews, preferably local company (considering the support of local business and potentially less overhead compared to larger companies). I narrowed down to two companies, Sentry Construction and another company in my town.Sentry Construction sent two people (Kyle, the sales and Nathan, who took the measurement on the roof) to my house at 4 pm on Wednesday and gave me a verbal quote minutes after taking the measurements on the roof, to be followed up with written quote via email later that evening. That was a very reasonable quote. Better yet, Kyle stressed the point that due to the cancellation of another job, they could work on my roof on Friday and weather forecast showed that Friday would be a very nice day. Such a quick turnaround was one of the main reasons why I decided to hire them. After they left, the sales from the other company called, but I told him not to come as I pretty much decided on hiring another company. I had a few more texting and calls with Kyle to clarify a few things on the contract and ended up signing the contract electronically Wednesday night.As promised, Sentry sent the crew out on Friday 7:30 am. Everything went quite smoothly as expected. The only exception was that when I checked the roof from inside the attic, I saw the crew replaced some but not all the rotten plywood panels. I tried reaching out to Kyle and the crew on site but was not able to get the point across right the way. With persistence, I was able to connect with Kyle on phone and learned that was occupied as he had to take his sick child to see the doctor. Later, I also managed to get the chief of the crew to get up to the attic to see the rotten pieces. Eventually, all the rotten plywood panels were replaced.The rest of the installation went smoothly and was basically finished around 6:30 pm. But the crew found their blower not working. Part of the crew went out and came back with a new blower just before 8 pm. They did a very thorough job cleaning up the larger pieces (1”+) of the debris from the yard. My wife and I told them not to worry about the smaller pieces and the shingle granules considering it was a very long day for them. But they insisted to use their new blower to clean up a bit more. I believed they were concerned about customer complaint of the cleanup. The chief of the crew was willing to spend a few more minutes to check on a few shingles at my request before they finally left at 8:15 pm.The next day, today, Saturday, May 8, 2021. Another contractor stopped by at 11 am to haul away the dumpster of old roofing material. Kyle showed up shortly after to walk through the yard with me and to collect the payment. I took the opportunity to provide positive and constructive feedback to Kyle, particularly on a backup option for customer communication and a stronger project manager presence on site. He took my feedback gracefully and asked if I would care to write a review for them.Overall, my wife and I are very happy about the new roof and the whole experience working with Sentry Construction. I will certainly consider Sentry Construction for future work and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.Service:Roof installation
