Ap G: This place does not know how to estimate time. I did a carry out order 3 hours in advance, went to the store to pick it up and they didn’t even have my order ready or started. Even tho they were busy, the lack of customer service this place has. I use to go here all the time but after this incident I refuse to go back. This isn’t the only occurrence. They have screwed up orders 3 times before that. I do not recommend this place.

Jazzmin Finney: They literally gave me all the same sandwiches and charge me different prices for each, didn’t want to replace my sandwiches unless I sent them photos from my phone. That wasn’t the issue, the real issue is I had to keep the sandwiches on hand until I came back that way to get my order replaced because I was not coming back the same day. Who wants to ride around in the car with garlic sandwiches? Then, she also stated there are signs all around the lobby that says Check your order before you leave because they’re not responsible. How the hell am I supposed to check 5 sandwiches from the inside? How am I going to explain to my family and friends I was digging in there sandwiches because Kabob House are robbers. They do this solely for money, they don’t care about their customers.

Crystal Jankiewicz: The food here was always good… when it’s right. Sadly, I wont be patronizing this restaurant any longer. The last three times I was here what I recieved was not what i’d ordered. Once they replaced my sandwich with a different one because they were out of something without checking with or informing me at all. I live in Detroit and coming back right away isn’t always an option. They are rude over the phone (I’ve been hung up on when I’d call to try to fix a mistake) and not at all helpful with refunds or fixing their own errors. My advice, if you order carry out, please make sure you check that everything is correct and there before you leave.

Jeff Kelley: Food is usually great. Service can be an issue during peak times as they often have only one person covering the register as well as serving eat-in customers. My only real knock on the place is calling in carry out. You call in and order, they tell you 15 minutes. You show up 15 minutes later and they haven't started your order. This happened to me 3 times in a row and I stopped ordering from them.

Joe messina: Tried out kabob Island the other day because my son craved Mediterranean and we both immediately loved the shwarmas. The lamb was tender and seasoned perfectly the chicken was great too. Well long story short, he asked for it again today so we went again. $6 per sandwich fills you up and tastes delicious too!!

Karisa Fowler: Very generous portions! I ordered their chef special. The chicken was amazing, also included rice, side of hummus and choice of soup or salad. They have THE BEST HUMMUS. I love Mediterranean food and have ate at many different places around the area, and their hummus is the BEST I’ve ever had!

Lauren Bauer: I was in the area for the first time in a few years and wanted to order carryout from my old favorite lunch spot. I ordered online mistakenly thinking it was A-1 Kabob and when I put it in my GPS I realized it wasn't (and that A-1 Kabob is out of business now). However, I was definitely NOT disappointed upon opening my fattoush salad, which was huge and covered with perfectly cooked chicken. So good!

Edit: I gave this place a second chance on April 18, 2023. I ordered two chicken shawarmas. I come inside and there's a sign saying "All sandwiches with pop only $7". I get charged $14 for no pop with my sandwiches, I ask how much with drinks and she says $18... So i declined. I take my two sandwiches home, just to find out it has old banana peppers, some old lettuce, and a couple pieces of tomato in each. No pickles. I bite into the sandwiches, and they are probably the driest shawarma wraps I've ever had. Chicken is tough and dry, no sauce inside, and the veggies are just old unsold fill to make the sandwich look huge. Please, I urge you not to waste your time or money on this place as I mistakenly have. There are plenty of other Arab restaurants that are better. I'm a bangladeshi and i can make a better shawarma for crying out loud. Please, don't go, trust me.

sarah alqaddori: I went there and they seemed nice at first. Then the disrespect started but I let that go. When it came time to pay, they told me it was 60$. I almost swiped my card and saw that the total was 75$. I asked why they tried to hide the total, they laughed it off. Almost got scammed. Also they won't tell you any information about the order unless you pay.

Frank LiBretto: The food here was absolutely delicious. The combo plates offer food true to the estimate amount of people they will serve. We ordered a combo for 3 people and it was more than enough food for 2 people. A little bit of tea at the end of our meal helped selttle the food in our stomachs. The place was very busy and loud which makes it hard to hear your company talking but who cares if you are stuffing your mouth with delicious food. They also offer takeout if you prefer to eat at home and skip the wait.

The Meat Teshreeb, while passable, was a far cry from the rich, hearty stew I had anticipated.The one redeeming element of the meal was the Meat Kebab, which was expertly prepared and burst with flavor. This standout dish offered a tantalizing glimpse into the potential of this restaurant, making the overall disappointment even more poignant.What further marred the experience was the service. Despite being generally attentive, there was an unsettling rush attached to it. It felt as if there was an invisible clock, pushing us towards the exit a bit too soon, stripping away the leisurely enjoyment of the meal.Given these experiences, this restaurant doesn't make the cut for my future dining choices in the city. Despite its potential, it falls short in delivering a truly satisfying and authentic Iraqi culinary experience. A revisit seems unlikely unless significant improvements are made
