John Boyle: What a great place! We've been taking our dog there for several months, and he is always excited to go. When we say "Happy Dog" to him, he heads to the door and is ready to go. They love him and he loves them. Every day we see him on camera playing with his buddies, and every night he comes home exhausted. He was a COVID pup, so he wasn't great around other dogs at first - but being there has really helped him. Jim and his staff know the dogs, and love them.

Brittany Hepner: I can’t say enough good things about Happy Dog, and would give them 10 stars if that was an option. My neighbor wasn’t able to watch our dogs like usual when we went on vacation, and I had never boarded them before. The owner, Jim, made sure that my girls would fit in with their daycare pups a couple times before we boarded them. I was so nervous to leave them with a someone I didn’t know, but Jim put me at ease. He sent me videos and updates while we were gone. My 8 year old pup was able to get away from the other dogs and nap on her bed behind the front desk during the day. They even have cameras on during the day so you can watch them all play. You can tell Jim and his staff love the dogs because I would always see them petting and playing with them on the webcam. Our flight home came in at 12:30am. Jim knew we missed the dogs and that they were ready to go home too. He met my neighbor at my house to drop the dogs off for us so they would be there when we got home. He even called me the next day to check up on them and make sure they were doing ok. I can’t recommend them enough. Happy Dog will be our go-to for boarding in the future, and my pups will be happy to go back to play on some daycare days too.

Sean Williams: I spoke with the owner, he walked me through the process, and answered my questions as well as gave advice and suggestions. We took our dog there, it was a great experience for our dog. I really love the fact that they have cameras to see what's going on, and that the dogs have acess to OUTSIDE FRESH AIR, as well as inside. I also like that, the dogs don't go in kennels. Because of the stimulation, the outside air and socialization, our dog was exhausted and rested well. There hours of operation is great! I really appreciate the service they extend to the customers.

Rob Reid: Not long ago I had an emergency where my wife had to go into surgery. I needed someone to board our wire fox terrier and on very short/ no notice. Having done business with other dog daycares I knew this would be asking for a very big favor and during a super busy time for boarding (spring break). Jim and his team were wonderful and very understanding. They took our dog in immediately. This allowed me to watch over my wife at the hospital without any additional concerns. While we were there, his team would also send video and updates on her to let us know she was doing well. And by the way, she had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back. We will always be grateful for Happy Dog Daycare, and how they took great care of us during such a stressful moment.

Celia Jackson: Can’t say enough good stuff about Happy Dog. Our two dogs have been going there for boarding since the fall of 2020. We travel a LOT and probably board them twice a month on average. It’s a no frills place but it's perfect for our no frills dogs. They absolutely love the Happy Dog staff and hanging out with all the other dogs, and we love watching them on the live cams during the week! The live cams were the reason we first tried them out, and the friendly, family vibes keep us there. They especially do a great job screening the dogs and making sure everyone gets along. Highly recommended!

B. D4-A: This was our first time leaving our English Pointer mix, Forrest, @ Happy Dog. I had toured the facility beforehand & was very impressed with the wide-open spaces, the accessibility of the indoor/outdoor areas for the dogs, the cleanliness & organization, & of course, with the attentive caregivers. Forrest is a very active, high energy, sometimes high anxiety dog & I love their approach to boarding/daycare- minimal time in the kennels! Ultimately, we decided to board him @ Happy Dog & moved him from previously staying at a different boarding place. During Forrest’s stay, I communicated with the owner several times- he responded quickly & with great care. After 6 days @ Happy Dog, Forrest came home very happy & very tired, which says a lot for him! We will be bringing him back to Happy Dog in the future! :) Thank You!

Camp bowwow would cram every size dog in one room and walk away. Watching the cameras while my dog was there, I realized my dog was in danger from all the fights I saw happening and found Pet Suite Retreat that same day.From day 1, I could tell Molly loved the staff and the staff loved her. She was not afraid to go to daycare and she was always happy when I came to pick her up. I love the amount of space the dogs can play in as well, nobody else has quite as much outdoor space to let the dogs run.Awesome staff, awesome prices, big and clean facility that allows the dogs to live their best lives. I am glad I found this place!

Anna Baird: My dog Coco has boarded here twice. Each time, it seems like she has done great and been very well taken care of. This time when she came home she was slightly dirty in spots and that made me happy because it meant she had plenty of opportunity to be outside and play! The staff were extremely caring and friendly when we dropped her off and picked her up. They seem to truly know each dog personally and put lots of effort into making every dogs stay a success. Coco will definitely be back! (I would give six stars) 😁

Now I was nervous because they were placed in the socializing room with other cats and my cats aren't the social type, especially Milo (One of my cats)who cant stand even new people being around him. But once I left and came back, I was surprised because.... They loved it there. They were around all the other cats they were originally afraid of, they were kind to the little kittens in there, and they were jumping all over the place. Before we had to pull them out the cage, Today we had to push them in to bring them home. 100% recommend this place

Brandon K: Pet Suite Retreat is awesome! Been taking my dog there for years and he loves it. When we first got him, we took him to Camp Bow Wow and they pack the dogs in like sardines. We found out quickly that our dog is not as compatible with some other dogs and they said they'd kick him out if he didn't change. Pet Suite Retreat had absolutely no problem with our dog in the 5 years we've been taking him. They treat the dogs on an individualized level, making sure dogs are compatible when setting them in the play area. 10x better than Camp Bow Wow for sure.The staff is very accommodating. They knew his name very quickly and recognize myself or my wife when we come to pick him up. Before the pandemic, we took our dog there 3 to 4 times per week to get out all that energy. Since the pandemic and working from home, we try to bring him at least once a week. This place is a life saver and deserves to stay in business.We bring our dog in for boarding and often without scheduling ahead of time. Again, very accommodating. Holidays are usually busy for boarding though, so we tend to plan ahead by letting them know.Oh and not sure they do this for everyone, but to show their appreciation for us bringing our dog in all year, they gave us a nice Christmas gift calendar of all the fun our dog had over the past year. I don't think we got one for this year, but at least 3 years prior we did. But so awesome none the less!

Spencer Kovar: My wife and I went on vacation and while we were away our dogs got in a fight. Our dogs are both rescues and we realize that the change in the environment was a lot of stress on them. Everyone at Troy Pet Suite Retreat were amazing! They kept us up to date how our dogs were doing and made sure none of the abrasions got infected. Couldn't ask for better care. Really appreciate you guys!

Ana Victoria Foley: When I boarded my beagle, I dropped her off with her bed and toys to keep her comfortable. My beagle is 9 and has never peed or pooped inside the house, much less her own bed. She is potty trained and will go every time she is let out. When I picked her up from her boarding her poor bed was soaked in pee, I had to throw it out and instantly buy her a new one there was no way I was going to be able to wash it and make it decent. This just tells me how poorly they took care of her. I will never be letting her stay in this place again. Terrible service, I'd give 0 stars if I could

Jenny Ho: I took my dog to get an assessment done here. The process was very easy and they were communicative. Unfortunately my dog did not pass the evaluation but the staff was kind and they gave me a tour of the facility. They also said sometimes they crate the dogs for a little bit if they are overly excited and need to calm down a bit before being let out to play. But everything seemed cleaned like the boarding rooms and bathing area. I think it’s cute how they make it very eventful for your fur babies. It reminds me of elementary school calendar. It’s a bummer my dog didn’t pass but I guess I will have to stick to his other daycares which is fine. But I will definitely recommend this place with the interactions I have had with them so far.

Danielle Quesnelle: I used to love taking my dog here at least once a week. This past year it has been nothing but issues. Twice I caught them rudely throw my dog in a crate and leave her in there for 30 minutes. Per policy from shift Manger crate timeout is last resort and only suppose to be max of 5 minutes. I didn't see them try to talk or walk her around the room before throwing her into a crate. Then I took my dog to do a craft they didn't text me like usual for me to see if I wanted her to do it and then took her in where usually they ask to confirm and they didn't so I was robbed of that. The staff excuse is always it's busy. Never once has shift managers told the owner or manager of the store. They used to also call to check to make sure dixie is okay if she hasn't been there in a while but they haven't done that. This place has gone downhill over the last couple months. Guess it's time for a new daycare and never got to do a walk through on meet and greet day.

Sandra F: The kennels I could see looked decrepit, very run down and poorly maintained.Website says daycare but was told "We're not set up for daycare."Had an off leash dog running around who she said "is not good with other dogs."Extremely rude and confrontational. It was very concerning to see someone like that in charge of the care of animals.

Bobby Balboa: This is pathetic place now. Used to be good before. I boarded my pet dog for 10 days recently. Upon reaching home after picking up my pet. discovered he had a severe case(wound) of Happy Tail. The skin at the tip of tail was totally exposed and and raw pink. The wound is 2 inches long and I am still working with my Vet to avoid amputation. There was no mention of anything while picking up the pet and upon calling up the next day, was told that none of the Staff had reported anything. This response just goes to show that you're leaving your pet in the hands of folks, who don't even notice when a pet is injured. He was also bathed while there and even then nobody took notice of this injury to the tail.

Mark Cohen: We've been bringing our puppy here for the past 1 year and have had a great experience. The staff is awesome. The hours are longer than other daycares, which really helps because we work long hours. Our dog is excited to be dropped off every morning and they are always sure to bunk her with one of her buddies. Most importantly, our dog comes home tired everyday.

We found the owners to be fantastic people and their staff are the BEST! They treated our Sunshine like she was their dog. If you want the #1 place to take your pet and have it pampered - Longview is the place for you! Bonnie Gall: $35 a day is NOT a reasonsble charge for the area! Very pricey. I use 4 other kennels which charge $21-$25 a night. Almost $500 for a 2 weeks!
