Lindsay: contractor used was billed on Majestics contract it’s theirs. New tile was purchased due to the workmanship of THEIR tile guy. I wouldn't rcmd this place. For my initial consult with the owner Don, we had a scheduled appointment time so that I had enough time before work started to meet. Don was 45 minutes late he didn’t call to let me know he was running late, I had to call to make sure he was still coming and the tardiness conflicted with my work start time. Don never reached out to assist with any issues throughout the process, never came on site to check in and see how progress was or to see the finished kitchen. Once I complained about the lack of professionalism is when I received phone calls.-The kitchen flooring was incorrectly measured so I have 6 unopened left over boxes.-I had to point out things that weren’t done correctly that were very obvious. A job shouldn't need a lot of touch ups it should be done right the first time.-cabinets are cheap quality/damage easily when simply moving items around in the cupboards it disturbs the finish on the doors. I was given a touch up marker when chips happened upon installation; no chips or damage should’ve happened to need a touch up marker.-The drywall and ceiling that were originally here were used again instead of bashing it out and installing fresh new drywall that’s not been sitting here for 20 years.-There is wall paint on the ceiling and deformities in the surface that were painted over. A floor board has a chipped corner.-The texture of the drywall wasn’t smoothed so you can see both paint brush marks and paint roller marks.-Paint is flaking and chipping off the window trim.- The stove is about 3 inches from the wall because the safety leg wasn’t removed upon installation.- I cannot move the fridge out to clean under it it’s so tightly in the space it rips paint and plaster off the drywall moving it. There is wall paint on the fridge itself.-The format of the kitchen cabinets by a doorway was a flawed design that impeded the walkway so I had to pay $400 last minute to get diagonal cabinets that allowed for better utilization of the walkway space.-Majestic will not take back or refund the unused uninstalled cabinet that didn’t work or the unused six boxes of flooring.-The backsplash installation was a nightmare you could see my previous turquoise kitchen wall color through the backsplash accent tiles. A lot of the accent tiles were also crooked jagged or cracked. Primer or more prep work should’ve taken place to cover up the previous wall color before tile installation.-Tile glue and grout was left around the edges of the backsplash. I had to rush last minute to go buy a second backsplash accent tile from a different supplier and pay a second time to have it installed and not use the original installer due to his quality. The first accent tile to no fault of mine I paid for it to be in the garbage. No refund or reimbursement was offered by Majestic for the horrible initial install.-On the invoice I was billed for trim pieces to cover up where the cabinets and ceiling met. Trim pieces weren’t installed and it was caulked. All the caulk cracked above all the cabinets and there was gaps in the caulk underneath the window sill in the black splash grout.-Some of the cabinets came discolored, scratched and gouged after I complained to the contractor, LaDonna came out and took all the plastic off the cabinets to assess if any needed to be re ordered. By incorrectly taking the plastic off on the drawers where the face plate is screwed into each drawer, there was plastic wrapping stuck between the screws and faceplate of every single drawer making it next to impossible to remove- Granite and tile guys drove on the grass leaving a mud rut on my lawn when backing into the driveway.-Main contractor was overbooked with other jobs, which resulted in working a lot of half days to get to those job sites, needing a lot of sick days for illnesses and medical problems, doctor appointments, summer vacation, catching Covid which added months onto the deadline.

Joe Smith: We spent a lot of money remodeling our kitchen they ordered the wrong cabinets they installed our countertops crooked we had to have them pulled back out and re-leveled. The contractor was very nice but his work was not after the remodel we still have moldings that are popping off and the drywall repair to the ceiling as noticeable through the paint. The kitchen looks better than what it was but for the price it should’ve been perfect and it is not.

This is the first review I have ever written on a company or product, so pay attention! I consider myself a "tightwad" when it comes to spending money on big projects, like finishing a basement. I received quotes from 5 different contractors and Majestic Home Solutions was 35% lower than all of the others. This is a huge savings, depending on how big the project is, it can save you thousands of dollars. Don't think because of the low pricing you are getting low quality. Zayne's guys, Steve and Scott, are great carpenters for framing and running electrical. Zayne's finish carpenters are top notch!! They made custom bookshelves, glass walls, custom wine rack and all of it came out amazing. Zayne is a great and trustworthy guy, he's very easy to work with and the pricing is fair if you have changes or add-ons as you go. Travis Farkas: I would avoid working with them. It took about 8 weeks for a laminate counter top. That is an excessively long time. Had they quoted that up front, I would not have bought it. On top of that, they waited a week to measure from my order date, lost paperwork and did not realize it. After that 2nd week was lost and I sent them their papers, they wasted 2 more weeks ordering the materials. I was then given 3 "promise" dates that they were shooting for which were missed and when I pointed this out to the lovely lady who answers the phone I was told that unless I have a recording of her saying it, then she doesn't care. She then hung up on me. As I said, go elsewhere.

Sheila Jakel: Products are very high quality, unfortunately the delivery & Service were not. After signing the contract in early Feb and paying 50% of the bill up front, there was shipment delays, and they wouldn't start until they had everything. We waited 6 weeks for a faucet (nothing fancy - we could have got it from Home Depot but that was not an option). They delivered what they had in June, which per the contract bound us to pay an additional 45% of the bill, and we still waited another 6 weeks before they started - they had 95% of our money. It's finally done with a few minor issues with the grout and design. I would have thought the designer would tell me that my sink is X size so to be sure to get a faucet that measures X in length, but I did not get that info so my faucet (that I waited 6 weeks for) looks small on my large sink. We appreciate the recommendation from our friends, and we would certainly recommend Borchert to others.Update:We chose Borchert for our master bathroom project after a good experience with a countertop project two years ago. They and their contractors do high quality work overall, but this time we were disappointed. Our project included new tile, quartz countertops, and fixtures, but kept the overall layout, cabinets, and tub. We had already selected the countertops, so the only major design decision was the tile. We were presented with three choices for tile, as I recall, and we selected the one that coordinated with the countertop material based on the small samples that we were shown. As the tiles were installed, it was apparent that they were very plain except for dark spots that looked like dirt. I wish we had done more homework ahead of time, but then one could assume that this is why we paid a design fee.Fortunately I checked frequently on progress. I discovered that the carpenter framed the niche in the shower around knee level, due to some unclear dimensioning on the drawings. Ron said to tell the carpenter where I wanted it, and he moved it for me.The other issue was damage to our cabinets and (stained and varnished) wood door trim. The side of a cabinet frame was sawed off to make it fit after the new tile was installed, but the damage was far more than necessary and extended above the new tile. Ron provided a new plywood panel to cover the side of the cabinet, but I was left with a repair project installing the panel and some corner molding to cover the damage. The trim around the doors was dented, scratched, and marred in multiple spots, probably during demolition. This required repair and partial refinishing.Now that everything is finished and repaired, the bathroom looks reasonably nice. But after spending so much money, time, effort, and disruption, it’s disappointing that we can’t be more excited about it. We have recommended Borchert to friends and neighbors in the past. Randall Eaton: We contracted Borchert in 2016 3 years ago to upgrade our master bathroom. From the beginning of the professional project design to completion working with Borchert was a pleasure. Borchert handed all the planning, management, ordering and cleanup in a professional manner with the client’s feelings and interest as their number one priority. We are proud of the new master bathroom and show it off when we can.Borchert stands behind their workmanship with a one-year warranty. Borchert followed up one year after competition checking with us if there were any issues before closing the warranty. At that time there were no issues. Now it’s been 3 years unfortunately we discovered an issue with slight drywall water damage at the base of the shower door wall. Calling Borchert about this and asking for help they responded quickly with Ron the company owner coming out to inspect the issue and agreed something was not right from the very beginning and will open a new warranty ticket 2 years after the original warranty period ended. We are amazed that Borchert will work to fix the problem this long after the original warranty ended. Borchert definitely puts their clients first even years later and works hard to make sure of that. I highly recommend Borchert for any bathroom or kitchen remodeling projects, you will not be disappointed. Borchert is a very unusual company making sure the client is satisfied with the workmanship being top rated.

Krista knew what we were looking for in our new bathroom and gave us the suggestions that fit our life style. We did an entire demo of the area and started from scratch. Ryan Kuchenmeister: Had two kitchen remodels ahead of us. First, finishing a small basement kitchen so we could continue to cook while the main kitchen was being remodeled afterwards. Rhonda was helpful in the design of the basement kitchen and her design ended up working much better than what we initially had been thinking.As the project commenced, we found that communication between what Rhonda designed and discussed with us, what Ron understood and what the contractors did was different. I found myself constantly reviewing the drawings and pointing out things to literally every trade. Which isn't really our 'job'.Cabinets- There was an existing half-wall that Rhonda told us we needed to extend with a wood cap to account for the length of the sink/dishwasher/under counter fridge. Because the wall was not extended first, (a mistake that we didn't realize until later) the cabinets were initially installed at the incorrect length, discover by us as the countertops were being measured. Otherwise the counters would have been short by a few inches. The wood for the endcap that was used was not the same species as the cabinets, So when it was stained, the color was similar but the grain wasn't even close, which made it look very different. We were at the end of the project, so we just went with it.Plumbing- Guy was fine, but misread the drawing and prepped the dishwasher on the wrong side. Told him, he apologized and he fixed it right then and there. Extra holes underneath my sink are still there though.HVAC- An existing dryer vent had to be reworked along side the new hood vent on the exterior wall. Both next to each other, neither of them straight.Tile- Tile guy used sharpie to draw his measurements because he couldn't see the pencil (gray tile). He came back and sorta cleaned it. It didn't come all the way off and there are still visible. (He said they'd fade.) Black lines along edges wherever he had to cut. Also, he also misunderstood what an electrical box flange was and he tiled over them, which caused the screws for the electrical wallplate covers to bottom out on the tile. Literally had to cut each screw down myself to make the plate covers work.Countertops- It was an 18" dishwasher and needed a special mounting bracket. I spoke up about it and the response was that nobody makes a bracket that short. Yes, they do. So the dishwasher would just pull out of the cavity when we pulled to open it.Appliance guys- Super nice and helpful. The only solution to the lack of bracket for the dishwasher was to caulk the screwtabs to the underside of the counter top. There were no side mounts to our model dishwasher. It's still secure, but if it ever had to be serviced, somebody would need to scrape the caulk off to get the dishwasher out, then caulk it in again. Not the preferred method.The cleaning crew- Walked in to clean my new bathroom. Help yourself, but we remodeled the kitchen. Wrong room guys. Again, communication was lacking.Even after all of that, we decided to go back to Borchert to begin the big project upstairs because even with the issues, we were happy with how it turned out. Then after some general discussion about what we wanted, she pulled out completed project that was 'similar' and scared us away with quite a lofty budgetary number. Granted, we didn't even design anything, but she felt that it was a good comparison to what we were after. She suggested that my wife and I regroup and talk about a budget. When we did, we decided that because our house is modest, we couldn't justify spending as much money as was softly quoted, and get a good return. We went with another contractor for the main kitchen.Overall, we are happy with the end result. While our upstairs was under construction, it functioned better than our very outdated former main kitchen. We were happy to have the space finished and it looks very nice in our basement. It was our first "outside" contractor project and it taught us not to assume that everyone is on the same page.

Rebecca Pilat: We hired to remodel the kitchen... finally found someone to vent out the hood....which we thought was part of the install.... to now find out that the space between the cabinets is completely off center to the stove... thank you again for such good measuring!! And it’s not off by a little... more like inches ... I would not hire....................!!!!!!I’m not sure why it’s not letting me respond to your response.... but I was just wondering how the stove not being centered between the two cabinets has anything to do with the hood... thank god we didn’t have you guys do it.... the hood is straight and right but the stove is not center to the cabinets above ... it has nothing to do with the hood... the fact my stove should be two inches to the left to be center is fault of your company ... nothing to do with the hood.... anyone would love to hear what my husband has to say about it please feel free to call him!! They were enormously helpful, and most importantly vary patient with us as we looked at many different selections and finally once we selected everything, they talked to us about how the process would move forward. They kept us informed along the way, and all of the various team members were very nice and respectful, answering all of our questions. We did experience one problem once the job was competed; however, the HomeWorks team reacted immediately and scheduled the work to repair the problem. Even though I had already ordered my cabinets based on the design I came up with, Stavannah still gave me more design layouts that I could do with the ordered cabinets. She even tapped off the layout on the floor so that I could see if it would work for me and my wheelchair.I also came into the store with preselected surfaces (shower tiles and flooring, and the main bathroom flooring. She worked with these choices and showed me a couple of other choices that I might like. Together we came up with a plan, and they executed it perfectly.I have one huge suggestion to anyone remodeling. Don't physically start the project until ALL of your materials are picked out and ordered. Stavannah did all design work. Complete new kitchen, master bath, laundry, interior paint, all floors, moving a structural wall, etc. Overall we were very happy with everything. We did have some issues during the job but nothing intentional and to be expected with a big job and Russ and Vlad did all they could to make it right.
