The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the bizarre customer experience I had when picking them up. The man at the counter had me come to the back to find my shoes which took me a few minutes. Then once I finally did find them, I was informed the business was cash only, which I was not told when I brought the shoes in a few days prior. This resulted in an awkward situation where I was forced to use cash that was given to me for a different purpose. Given the other positive reviews for this place I'm assuming I must be an outlier, since the man who helped me seemed unsure of how things worked. That said, I'm very happy with how my shoes came out so I do have to give credit for that.

Shannon Worsham: I had the pleasure of working with Ed when he helped me realize a dream of custom equestrian boots despite my hugely wide claves. I can in with a pair of Dehners I inherited from a friend’s passing. They were tall and big enough in the foot but I no way big enough in the calf. So Ed went about a strategy to get them to fit. I visited eight time over the summer as Ed measured, cut, refitted, redesigned, stretched and kept working. While there I saw people come out happy with simple leather shoe repairs and dyes he easily and reasonably did. My project was bigger and it was one I could not find anyone else willing to do: recraft boots for near scratch.In the end he had stretched, lined, added a zipper, re-carved the foot, dyed, polished and waterproofed these boots for a very reasonable price. The results are strong, as new to the looks as you can get and I ride in them regularly; they fit perfectly.I cannot stress how much I would recommend Ed. Be patient on big projects as he is a craftsman and is going to take the time to do things right but not only is he great at what he does, reasonable and practiced, he is a gentleman too.

Sharon Jones: To start, you have to be buzzed through a gate to enter/exit. Once inside it is not customer friendly. The hours are very short and they vary.I took My Coach vintage Coach bag to be cleaned, polished and strap stretched. The bag was poorly cleaned and polished. The crevices still had debris and dust in them. Also the brass was still tarnished with green calcification on it. They had a rhyme/reason as to why they couldn't do what I requested. They originally charged me $55 but reduce the price when I pointed out the non stretch. I do no recommended and will not go back.

The fur and suede are soft. No leftover stains (including the area I tried to clean myself). The coat looks like new (and smells like new, too!)There is a reason Ram Leather has the reputation for being the best in cleaning leather and fur. I'm very grateful for the recommendation from a trusted vintage clothing dealer and for the job that Jeff and his folks did on this coat.

John Hanna: I have been useing this company for over 25 years in the winter time they do such a great job on all my cleaning work, in the Summer and fall every time every week I get a delivery I have to send back something that needs to be done redone again? Why why why when you try to explain it to the owner Mike he blows it off as nothing ever happened but instead of concentrating on the cleaning work,. It seems like he concentrate on the dollar work. It's not fair to the retail shops that send him the work, my doing he will be losing a lot of customers he would have to understand that this is not right. When you try to talk to him he's in for a couple hours early morning where nobody could get a hold of them . When I have to send the comments back second time and third time that pisses me off he has his secretary Carol that speak so nicely to you and then blows you off at the ends nobody checks the work and send you what is ready Carol open your eyes or get somebody to do it for you.

M Root: It’s not often a business exceeds my expectations. I sent in my “FAVORITE” leather, I’d had for 20 years. It was worn, had an ugly tear on one sleeve and I’d wanted to send it somewhere for years but never got to it so it just hung in my closet. I came across Ram Leather care online and gave it a shot. They emailed me to let me know the day my jacket got there, I was impressed right off with their communication. Within a week I received another email letting me know it was on it’s way back. Service was fast, and the results were knock out, my coat looked new, they fixed the tear in my sleeve put all my color back, cleaned the jacket, I’m serious, it was a WOW when I took it out of the box. Awesome company, great to do business with. On a scale of 1-10, I give them an 11! And no, none of my relatives work there, it was just a refreshing experience and an incredible value.

Valerie: I called The Leather Depot based on a referral. I spoke with Tony the owner about alterations needed to the sleeves of a leather jacket and he was extremely rude and unprofessional, not to mention his pricing seemed very high (quoted upwards of $150). Honestly to have that kind of interaction with somebody who you've been referred to -- it's amazing he's still in business. You think that he would appreciate a referral and go out of his way to try to be helpful but it was the exact opposite. If you check referrals on the web page for his business he only posts the good ones, but based on his treatment towards me I wouldn't trust them. I will certainly take my business elsewhere.

I was expecting to just pay 100 for a brand new set of boots but was referred to the leather depot and saved a good amount of money on a simple repair.
