Jacquelyn Culver: I was looking for a relaxing mani / pedi day with my husband and came across Kozy Nails. The reviews looked good so I went for it. I asked for a pedicure and gel-x nails for myself, and a mani/pedi for my husband. The pedicures were great! My only comment is usually the “top” pedicure comes with a callus remover. It was an extra charge here.However the mani & gel - x nails left much to be desired. My husbands cuticles were left pretty bloody after his rushed manicure. He was done before they even sat me down for my nails.I requested Gel-x because I was excited to see them in a salon. I’ve been doing them at home for years and wanted to treat myself. The nail techs said they could do it. They could not. I had to show the tech how to do it by pulling up videos on my phone. Other techs came around asking her questions and laughing. She tried her best. She was nice, but shouldn’t have been in that situation. I wish I just stopped the service when she first had issues.They charged me full price - the nails were crooked, top coat bubbled, and the next evening all the nails popped off. You can see my nails are still shiny, but yet all the nails came off. So that was $50 for one days worth of nails. :(When I do them myself, with no training, they last 2+ weeks. Not 1 day. I know the cost of the product, so I was under the impression I’m paying for expertise.Please don’t say yes to, or offer, services you can’t do. I’m so disappointed and had such high hopes.The cash only and fee thing was also really awkward. And the ATM buttons were mislabeled. That really gave the experience an awkward feel at the end.**Edited to add the owner did reach out and make things right about my nails. Thank you!
Keyera Lee: Ray is the best! He always does my nails (I get dip). He is patient and kind. His wife also does great nails too, if he wasn’t available I would choose her to go to as my next option. I recommend everyone I know to go to Kozy Nails. Yes, some people may have an issue with the price but I promise you get great service and long lasting nails that won’t break after a week. The owner and her sister are very nice as well.

That's ridiculous 😡 not even the massage was long enough to be worth, and the heels were barely scrubbed because I was ticklish and yet I was charged $10 within the $75 I paid and I didn't even put any sort of polish, not even clear on my nails nor toe nails 😔😡 and I forgot to mention that the girl was talking on the phone the whole ENTIRE time 😡 that was my first time there and definitely my last 😡
Sara Vitale: I would like to share my experience because this is the type of place I hate walking into and wish I knew in advance. My review is bad more because of management or ownership issues. First off, services here cost slightly more than any other similar nail salon in the area. The very mediocre pedicure I received was $40. When you first walk in there are signs everywhere about how you will be charged fees to use your credit card and must tip in cash. I do not appreciate businesses that push this cost onto the customer. That is the cost of doing business. And it’s especially obnoxious when they are already charging more than the average such salon. There’s also an ATM inside that they can charge you service fees on so that you can pay them cash. The service form they have you fill out details all the ways they will charge you extra: apparently oval is a special shape and is $5 more. Also a toe polish change is $20. French is $10 more. The young woman who did my nails was perfectly polite but I definitely didn’t feel glad I came and will never come back. The pumice stone part and massage which I think most people find to be the best part were super express. Overall, There is just nothing special at all about the service I received and it makes me feel ripped off when there is a charge for every single breath you take in the building. fagulous83: Edit: 2/20/23 After 5 visits to collect stamps and receive 50% off my next pedicure(which has to be paid in cash btw), I was told it was no longer 50% off but 5% off. The smudged red ink that they used to hand stamp said 50% off but his new cards printed more legible said 5% so that's all he would honor. We explained that we have had these cards since last year but to no avail. They just lost 2 customers for the sake of $20.Went at off peak hours and was helped right away. The pedicure chairs are great and I liked watch HGTV during my service. Only thing I didn't like is that the establishment charges an extra $1 per person and per transaction to use debit/credit cards. We had 2 pedicures and they wanted to charge an extra $2 even though the card would have only been swiped once.
Sarah Desjardine: Everyone was so nice and helpful! I took my 8 year old and they had a little chair her size and made her feel so special! It was very clean, comfortable and stylish! I wish they had drinks to offer but that’s my only complaint! Will definitely be back!
Cassandra Kruger: So, I really wanted to like this place because the staff is great, its close and the price is right but after going here about 4 times I noticed that my nails were not staying nice like they typically do when I go to my other salon that I drive a little farther to go to. My nails were chipping after a week, if not sooner. So, I don't know if they are adding stuff to their nail polish to make it last longer or what cause I was disappointed. I really really wanted to make this my new go to. BUT, like I said, the staff were always really nice to me, the place is clean and the prices are good so I can't really say I won't ever go here again I just can't afford to come in weekly to get my nails done. But I would definitely go here for special occasions. My Aunt actually took me here to pay for nails to get done for my wedding. Lol. Rita A: Honestly this place is a hit or miss depending on which technician does your nails. I had my nails done by Lena and girl knows what she’s doing! She’s fast and efficient. Not to mention her shaping is out of this world.I know a few people who’ve been to her and she never disappoints. I got a dip manicure with tip and the service costs about $60 without tip. They accept tips in cash only and also have an ATM.Saw another customer walk out because they double booked her, felt bad but thankfully I was able to get in.Lena doesn’t do pedicures, however her nail service is phenomenal.

KoKouture Collection: PLEASE READ the bad reviews before going to this business. They will greet you from the front door stating especially if your black that you "must tip" for service and to fill out a tip form in whicj they only gave to me I saw no more else with a slip to fill out and this was my second time coming to this nail salon. My first experience was nothing like this and I glady tip my nail tech at that time but fast forward this second time around I was very confused to why I'm being greeted that way. I said okay and went ahead to my seat, this new nail tech was so rude all because I was asking questions he told me I can find another shop to go to. I stayed anyways because I was just desperate but NEVER again. You can tell by the reviews they have bad service because why are you arguing back with your customers under a google review page. If you don't know nothing about business customer are always right! Please don't support this business!

User P: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! so disappointed in the entire experience from the quality of service to the customer service. I have left the salon with unfinished nails and was charged over $20. First I was taken 15min late and bounced around to 3 different technicians WITH having an appointment. Then the cuticle work was subpar and it showed from the polish which with 3 coats was still lumpy with ridges which means that the nail prep was poor. I was offered a 4th coat but they looked so horrible that I asked for it to be completely removed and just some clear polish. The technician files them to death and leaves them without even putting clear polish. I really should have walked out without paying a dollar but that's not my character. I'm just not sure why I was charged over $20 for terribly unfinished nails an hour and a half later. It's a shame that neither of the owners Christine or Alex bothered to ask a single question or try to make it right. Not sure if they are desperate, greedy or both but it certainly left a terrible impression.
Katie Suhy: Christine is wonderful! I had my nails done at The Nails Place in Warren and the lady rushed through my dip and they ended up cracking and chilling a week later. Christine took her time and reshaped my nails. She is great I will definitely be back!

Miranda Cheers: This was my first time at Ritz and I’ll definitely be returning. Alex fit me in for a same day appointment for a full set, and was completely down to do the nail art I wanted even though it was a little time consuming!! I’ve never had a nicer nail tech, and I’ve never had a nail tech pay such close attention to details and make sure that the acrylic turned out perfectly. susie Cue: to be honest, I used to absolutely love this nail salon however, my experiences from last year have made me switch to a new nail salon. Last July, I unfortunately lost my pregnancy. I was not feeling well the day of but called very early ahead of my appointment to let my nail tech know that I would not be able to make it. instead of just telling me I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well let’s reschedule for another time I was chastised and berated for canceling the day of. My nail tech knew that I was pregnant as I had discussed this with him before this was the second time that I canceled, but I had an uneasy pregnancy from the start. There was no compassion, there was no well let’s find a resolution. instead, I was told that I was wrong for canceling the day of even though I gave well advance just not the experience that anyone should have to go through and that is why I will never be back. It’s already hard enough to find a salon that offers quality work, but it seems even harder to find good customer service. lastly, I did not expect to wake up and not feel well, I did not expect to lose my pregnancy. My intentions were to be going to my appointment, so obviously I canceled for a good reason unless he would have rather me come to the nail salon, and everything happened then. Will not be back Coco nails in Troy is phenomenal. Ask for Kayla.

My only comment is that they don't do foot/leg massage with their pedicures.On my 2nd visit I had a dip manicure removed, and replaced with regular polish. The service didn't include a few things that their description on the wall described. And then the polish didn't look great, and all chipped off within 3 days. Pristine Nails is small but it's clean, comfortable, and I loved it.They cleaned up my previous gel manicure, and my nail tech took excellent care of my nails. They went from overgrown and pained to, well, pristine! My husband seemed to enjoy his pedicure and his manicure too, and I think I've finally found somewhere I'd be comfortable getting a pedicure of my own. Sofía Syntaxx: Fantastic nail spa & my new favorite pampering place. I received a fantastic pedicure that featured a paraffin wax treatment, as well as a very relaxing leg/calf massage. Just wow. I was completely blissed out.The aesthetic of the salon is bright, open, and clean. There are bathrooms and a water fountain; I felt very comfortable during my 2+ hour stay. The front salon area is quite open so I think it would be possible to comfortably maneuver a walker or wheelchair here if you wanted a manicure.I got a full set with Danny, and he did a fantastic job! Not to mention if you ask them to change something you’ll get ignored and they’ll talk about you in front of you to the other techs. It was so awkward sitting there listening to them talk about me 👀The same girl that did my nails checked me out and she obviously wasn’t listening so I still paid but when I called to complain they asked me to drive in the middle of a snowstorm on Christmas Eve to come get it fixed.. apparently they don’t do refunds (probably should considering only half of their techs actually know how to do nails.)

Went to my first appointment and called and made a appointment at 4 o’clock when I got there they said I did not have an appointment that somebody else was in my time this was odd to me and they started speaking in their language among some selves and I started recording the conversation so I said OK mistakes happen not a problem they worked me and made another appointment for next month came in now before I walked in I start a recording and when I gave them my name same situation as the previous month had two people scheduled at the same time got my nails done made another appointment for this month and yes you guessed it same situation said they didn’t have me down put me in rush through it and I left I have realized what they are doing they’re scheduling two people at the same time number one in case someone doesn’t show up or number to whoever has the more expensive appointment they take first. I have all three recordings of their conversation and I have a friend who speaks their language and had them listen to the recordings and that’s exactly what they are doing so so if The owner wants to clap back at this conversation please go ahead please do so. It’s truly ok I won’t be returning, but I just wanted to let you know what was happening if you already didn’t know, but just know this is happening.

For special events & particular nail designs you may need to request specific people that know how to do it. I requested Lynn for a wedding I had this weekend and she did a beautiful dip powder French manicure that turned out perfect and exactly what I hoped for. Love them!

The worst part is I was very haply with the last nail tech it was the so called manager this time. The rudeness and pure disrespect...she should not be qualified to be a manager based on the way she speaks to her customers. I waited for 2 hours just for them to fix one nail that the polish cracked on. The manager came over and said what do you want and I explained to her to just re do the nail. She responded with well we just have to cut it and proceeded to cut my nail down to the very bottom. She kept telling me yes its shellac and I tried telling her it was dip. It wasnt until she cut my nail that she believed it was dip.

Gart Nerduli: it's crazy how different your experience can be based on the tech. the first pedicure i got here was phenomenal - and i found out mid-way through that the person performing it was the manager. they were professional, gentle, and thorough - i even claimed it was the best pedicure i'd ever had.i went in for my second pedicure and the experience was wildly different.-cut my toenails wayyyy too short without asking (part of the reason i went back a second time was because the manager asked me if i wanted them trimmed and left them at a good length when they were trimmed)-the person doing it wasn't even looking at my feet half the time which didn't make sense because i couldn't even figure out what was distracting her-dug out my ingrown toenails which cut up my toes (which you aren't supposed to do unless you're a trained podiatrist - can lead to serious infection)- used my foot as a tray for the dead skin they cut offi know a painless pedicure with ingrown toenails is possible because i'd had one at this location. just goes to show why some people are so married to one specific tech usually.i have doubts about ever going back because going to a salon isn't worth it if i now have to tend to wounds. i don't want to insist on the manager doing my feet -- it shouldn't have to be like that.i paid good money for a leisurely spa experience and left having gone through more pain than some tattoos i've experienced.Service:Pedicure

My toes are just barely okay, all the cuticles are not properly done and unpaid $30 and she couldn’t get the bottle open with color I chose and tried to put another color on which objected to. She was visibly upset saying she couldn’t open the bottle and was worried she would cut her hand. I did finally get the color I wanted butNot pleasantly.Then the manicure what a mess. All I wanted was a manicure and my Nails buffed. She spent 10 minutes on them, some of the cuticles are still a mess and said buffing would cost me $10 extra. I said NO forget it. Needless to say my manicure is not nice and I will NOT go back. Amy was obnoxious and rude. I got charged $60 for this mani/pedicure joke!! Leticia Uvario: Clean place, friendly staff, their work looks good, but I ended up not using their services. They do not have the best time management/scheduling skills. My appointment was for 5:00 pm, I arrived maybe a minute or two before my appointment, was seated and given the pallet to choose from. 10-15 minutes went by and no one came to work on my nails, then 20 minutes, and by the 30 minute mark I was fuming, so I walked out. I just moved to the area and went here because of the reviews, but the wait was not worth it for me. I could be speaking from a place of ignorance, but the few times I’ve had nail appointments, they’re on time. At most 10-15 minute wait while I pick a color and nail tech gets setup, definitely not 30 minutes. I did not have time to have my time wasted today.
All We Do is Twin User: I used to really like this place but today I had an appointment. I told them I would be on my lunch break. They still had me soak my nails for literally 40 minutes and then she started to do my nails, only after I reminded her again, while using the same gloves she was just using to work on someone else's feet. She put 3 coats of clear on before even starting and dried my hands one at a time between each coat so I got back to work late and left without even finishing. Very disappointed and I will not be back. The lady they have that is helping is the only reason for the 2 stars

Missy Normandin: I normally have Cindy do my nails but today some other lady did and she was super rude to the girl next to me. And 4 of my nails had to be rebuffed and top coat put on. On a couple of my nails she didn't file them enough on the sides. My left hand isn't as good as the right and she only went over them twice with the dip . I'll post pics in update. But I won't be going here again.
