Madonna University Accelerated BSN: what do users think?
maya saleh: Anyone who is trying to decide which curriculum they want to attend should consider the accelerated program at Madonna University. The 16-month program is practical and goes by quite quickly. I'm presently enrolled in my third semester of this program, and I can categorically state that it has challenged me and made me understand that I am much more capable than I had previously believed. It is initially overwhelming, but with the instructors' help, it becomes much more tolerable for us. Numerous teachers and employees go above and beyond to make sure you understand and are always willing to ask questions. In terms of structure, there have been periodic difficulties in the previous semester, but now that there is a new director, she is truly making significant adjustments for this program. She genuinely cares about the students and makes sure we receive the education we pay for. Her goal is to ensure the student will pass the Nclex. The clinicals are very excellent and very instructive; I have had positive clinical encounters. Anyone who chooses to begin this program will receive the fresh updates developed to improve our learning!
Karalyn Niemetta: I have thoroughly enjoyed the program at Madonna University and am extremely thankful for the opportunities I have because of this program. I would not have chosen a different school. The first couple of semester, I felt like the program was disorganized and policy changes and miscommunication made me frustrated with the program. However, I have seen so many wonderful changes that have made my experience wonderful. I feel the program has given opportunities to better prepare myself for the NCLEX and has gained me the confidence is skills when I start a job. With this program being 16 months, it is definitely rigorous and may not be a good fit for everyone-but it is only 16-months. I was unable to work during the program due to the demands. My clinical experience has been exceptional. Discussing with friends from other highly ranked ABSN programs in the state, I actually had more opportunities than them due to the placements and hospitals in Detroit. These experiences through clinical has allowed me to build my resume and set me apart from other new graduate nurses, especially for placements in specialized areas such as mental health and pediatrics.
ali hachem: The ABSN program is a great choice for students who are going back to school to get their BSN. The program has 3 start dates a year so there is plenty of room and plenty of opportunities to get in without wasting time. The program itself is intense but nursing as a whole is a medical professor so the schooling is similar to that of med school courses. Compared to other programs Madonna gives the best clinical experiences and although it is a tough program it will get you prepared for the NCLEX and whatever field of nursing you want to get into.
Maria Repichowski: Although a little unorganized at times, Madonna’s ABSN program has challenged me beyond what I thought I was capable of. They have a great way of guiding you toward independence and pushing you to your limits. Yes, it’s an accelerated program, with a rigorous course load and can be difficult and frustrating at times, but so is any program. I have only had 2 instances where clinical instructors we’re not great, but as this program is only 4 years old- there are still some things in “trial and error.” Other than that, my clinical placements have been educational, beneficial, and have helped me build a surmount of confidence I will take with me when I graduate. There have been a lot administration and policy of changes during my time, but again, it’s expected with a “newer” program. With this program- you get out of it what you put in. The new changes I believe will make this program better and more educational than ever before, and if you’re looking for a program that will challenge you and make you the best nurse YOU want to be, Madonna is the place!
Griff Sawyer: Amazing program that provided me with structure and opportunities to develop as a nurse. The professors and staff have been amazing and provided me with everything I have needed to succeed. I knew absolutely nothing about nursing or healthcare before this program. They teach you everything you need to know and help you learn at a quick pace. The setup, the campus, the classes, and the staff have all been near perfect. I am very lucky to have been a part of this program and highly suggest it to anyone wanting to earn their ABSN.
Reem Awada: Overall, if you are trying to gain as much knowledge and skill as possible in the quickest amount of time, then this program is perfect for you. With it being only 16-months, the workload and time spent on a daily studying is gruesome, but the closer you get to the end the more excited you get. There are so many instructors and staff that go above and beyond to ensure you are understanding and always willing to answer questions. The program just for a new program director and she is already not even a couple weeks into the position making positive changes and addressing every concern students have. This program for me started off very unorganized and overall unprofessional, but now under the new administration and staff, it has already made a huge turn. If you are willing to take 16-months out of your life and work hard daily (because you really won’t have a life) to get that degree then this program is perfect for you!
Scarlet Solway: I am so grateful for earning my nursing degree and the opportunities that are now available… however, I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone. Even after finishing this program in it’s entirety, the faculty is so unorganized and honestly rude. Though I do feel I have the education to be a competent nurse, I do not hail that credit to Madonna, but rather myself and ATI (which you pay 500 dollars per semester for) all of my learning and encouragement came from myself and my sought out help…. Not to mention, requirements and grading was different every single semester making it hard to find a constant when going through such a difficult program. I seldom felt support or encouragement and do not feel that this program produced the nurses it states, my confidence has been killed. Also my bank account, as they claimed this program would cost 40k in its entirety m, which ended up looking more like 60k on top of books, scrubs, shoes, and extra classes required only at Madonna (religion) which they do not disclose to you upon admission. They haven’t even helped me with anything post graduation, after emails calls and every effort for help. I could write a book from my experience these past two years but, I will leave this for those who may be like me and wanting to start a fulfilling nursing career, please do not come here.
Melissa Shepler: Please go to another Nursing program. I was in the program for less than a month. I had to worst experience. I've earned 2 other degrees from Madonna. Bachelors and Masters. Great experience. But, this has been the worst encounter to my education ever. Go to a school that will support their students, accept constructive criticism, and acknowledge when they do something wrong... it's wrong. They'll fix it to make it right. It is a money pit. I actually have been accepted into another program. I'm grateful for that. They definitely need administrative and instructors restructuring. I'm surprised they're licensed with all the learning from YouTube.
Tony Stark: 0 stars. Please do not go here. EMU has an ABSN program. The heads of this program are more worried about their egos than helping student succeed. They are not on your side. This program runs 910 dollars an hour, and they will still charge you for uniforms, ATI programs, supplies, and other random things. If you do do this program, make sure you quit your job, have at least 2k in the bank on standby, and prepare to teach yourself on Youtube. Please do not go here. You will not leave the program a good, or even a competent nurse.
Happy Gujjar: Not a good nursing program.

sweet nothings: Unorganized and accent is too thick to understand. Mainly african Nigerian and etc there so they tend to grasp it easier. Fortunately i already knew what i was doing so even if i didnt understand what he said i was ok. Class is divided like high school ( not due to him) i suggest if you do go here then you should form a study group (you'll figure out what i mean) and study online as well. Youll have better chances.
Mahamed Ndiaye: got cna here good teacher
Medhat Basha: Good
od babe: I was a student here. The owner and instructor was very nice. They take their time to teach you well so you can understand. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking into CNA or dialysis technician classes. They are awesome!

Abcott Institute: what do users think?
Florence Birungi: I completed the Vocational nursing program in July 2022, and by the last day of school I was more than ready for the NCLEX. I enjoyed my nursing career right away because I felt knowledgeable enough to deliver. I have 2 jobs and people think I have been a nurse for years. At times it’s really hard for me to explain that I am a new nurse! The Abcott programs will prepare you for success. Your target should be to study, keep your personal affairs to your self, make few or no friends, abstain from gossip, graduate, take whatever licensing exam and the sky will be the limit for you. Specifically about the Vocation nursing program, I had done my research else where, but the Abcott program was one of the easiest to get in. As a mother and a career oriented person, I had no time to waste. I utilized every second I spent at Abcott (my teachers and fellow students can testify). The program is not fun (you have to study and put in extra effort), but the results are so worth the hustle! I also found the administration and the teachers very supportive.
4ever: I want to attend this school but I got dyslexia . I amScared of failing
Cynthia Norman: Good afternoon Ms. Norman,Abcott has offered me an opportunity to better myself, my classmates and my future clients. It has been a whirlwind experience but one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had. Abcott Institute administration and faculty have been great supporters and allies from start to finish.V/R,Deh'Ron D Goff
Sandra Palmer: Abcott Institute is an amazing place to learn. The admissions team gives you all the assistance you need. They are very informative, and helpful. I originally went to Abcott for the Surgical Tech program. When I took the test for the Surgical Tech program I didn't pass. THIS is when I found out about the Central Processing class. I was approved for the program, and was soooooo excited. I have been in class since November, and have been struggling with a lot of personal issues. However I didn't allow it to stop me. I reached out to Mrs. Norman at Abcott, and she assisted me with resources to help me. If you are seeking a program that will allow you to thrive then Abcott should be your choice. I LOVE ABCOTT!!!!!!
Notasha Pace: Finished the MA program today through abcott. Ms. Mcgee was an amazing teacher and very patient. She answered all my questions and made sure I was prepared for my externship site. I got offered a job at my externship site and I couldn't be happier.
Teionna: HORRIBLE school. They don’t know how to communicate. And they make you compete in the LPN program WOULDNT recommend wasting your time here !
Tee Mill: Excellent place to get an education. Ms McGee is my teacher. She is awesome!!!
Monquelia McClinton: I had a great experience at this nursing school my instructors were very encouraging and when adversity hit me the were in place to hold me up and kept pushing me. I was very pleased with all the uplifting and loving people with whomI formed great professional relationships with. They also helped with tuition and helped me form great professional habits that will last a lifetime. Oh and the Job placement coordinator is excellent. I got hired a week after I received my LPN license it’s a great place to learn .
Uosef Mohammed: A challenging nursing program but if you want to start your nursing career then this is the school for you. Teachers are willing to help you succeed as long you put it in the effort. I have no complaints and I would definitely refer this program to anyone that is interested becoming a nurse.
Artrice Queen: The Institute Gave me what I needed to be successful!!!! Thank you
L. Guyden: Whew Chile…… I’m finally done! When I tell you this has been a journey for ME. If Ms.Norman wasn’t there pushing and believing in me when everyone else gave up on me, I would have Never graduated. Abcott will see to it that you succeed. Great school
Ebinique Stephens: Just focus and get what you need to get out of there. It’s a lot of foolery going in this school program not accredited and make sure when you pay for you certification test and pass get your money back because they will not mention it if you don’t and it’s included in your tuition. Just focus and get what you need don’t make close bonds with the teachers they gossip and tell other classmates business…I know things I shouldn’t know.. I took the surgical tech program…the instructor is very knowledgeable about scrubbing I will say that she knows her stuff but I wouldn’t recommend this school a community college is better it may take longer though
Teia Drayton: Applied here had turned my complete packet into the school was told I was going to be put on a waitlist for the January 2022 class time went on it was getting closer they end up saying they changed their teas score requirements my whole thing was a bunch of ppl have turned in COMPLETE packets why did we have to retest if the whole entire packet was complete I felt we should have been able to start class an apply those new rules to the classes after ….. The surg tech teacher has her children making false reviews she is very rude she’s made students cry by verbally abusing them in front of the entire class I’ve seen videos heard the Audio Ms miller jus do better be better !!!!
Nia Alexander: I love the field I picked at abcott institute. You definitely have to have thick skin to be in ST. It has been times when I wanted to drop out. But I stuck it out. It’s not easy as you think gotta be tough mentally and physically. But now that i understand the importance of CST. Now I understand why Mrs.Miller was tough on us. Only the strong survives if it was easy everyone would do it PATIENT LIVES ARE TRULY IN OUR HANDS & PATIENTS DO NOT GET A SECOND CHANCE. The program can be tough if you don’t do your part & even when you do your part there’s just soooooo much more to learn.
Michiko Unu: Abcott Institute is a great place to help you with a career in the medical field. Abcott also have other areas to advance your career. The instructors are Helpful and encouraging. The Surgical Tech. Program with Mrs.Miller is great, she a firm and knowledgeable instructor. Working in the medical field especially the OR is no game, you are dealing with people lives!! The course is tough, at one point I wasn't so sure if I could finish. I talk to my instructor, made sure I studied more and did what I had to do to improve myself. Mrs.Miller firm but she care for her students and supports them wholeheartedly, you just have to do your part as well. This is not something everyone could do you have to be dedicated!!!
Ticora Harris: The St Instructor Mrs.Miller is a wonderful instructor she honestly just want the best for us. She may be hard on us at times but she just want us to understand how important our role is . I thought about dropping but it is well worth it . She makes us understand patients lives are truly in our hands and patients do not get a second chance!!!!
Artie Alexis: I would not recommend this school. There wasn’t any heat in our classrooms the entire winter. Students had to bring their own heaters and we only could plug up 2 with out blowing out the circuit. (They also have a heating and cooling program )There still isn’t any soap in the cafeteria. Some one put water in an old soap dispenser, and over 100 students share that. The ST (Surgical technician) instructor is rude and unprofessional. I have documents, videos and dates of her yelling at me, cursing, threatening me and no one did anything to her. Actually, when I tried to report her, it actually got worse. I’m not the only one from this school…. or other schools who said the same exact thing. The man from financial aide will call, email and text you several times a day when you have to make a payment. The reviews are fake/ from employees themselves. Take your time and actually research the program before you apply to this overpriced school.
Ashley Kohler: This place is a scam for your money. They use students to milk the government and lie about their accreditation. Go to a community college this place is not worth your time.
Abcott Survey: Abcott has been helping people in the Detroit area get medical training and get employed in the medical field for many years! They have a great nursing program and the instructors and staff there are very encouraging and supportive.
Tamara Owens: Abcott is a great school with wonderful teachers and professors. It is the perfect amount of challenge with hands on experience. The SURG TECH program is amazing with Mrs. Miller is great teacher with lots of experience. She can come off as tough but in the end she makes sure that those who work hard go far! Since she started the whole program has changed with new technology and lab equipment. If you want to be the best she's the perfect person to learn from.
