S Mapes: I would recommend that anyone seeking care read through these reviews with care. I am uncomfortable with the exchange I had with the doctor, and deeply disappointed in the experience I had with the office staff. I had a surgery scheduled with Dr. Boyd and cancelled as I would not be comfortable entrusting my care with them. I would not, in good conscience, recommend this office to another person without offering additional considerations.Context:* I found Dr. Boyd through a Reddit forum of OBGYN providers who believe in the autonomy of their patients and will perform sterilization procedures without the usual fight (already having kids/needing husband permission/35+/long psyche eval etc.).* I am not seeking pregnancy help, so I was not concerned about the attention and care that a pregnant woman would expect from their provider (evident in prev. reviews) - I was simply looking for a doctor to perform the standard yearly exams and to complete this one procedure. I saw the reviews about bedside manner but ultimately took the chance, as my needs were simple.* Dr. Boyd's office offers a medical records portal, online forms, and e-sign-in that is not set up nor formatted correctly which lends better to delay patient experience, not convenience it. It would work wonderfully for their offices if someone would simply *do* the set up.* Despite there being a medical portal, they still email you HIPAA forms via gmail, but will not return emails sent to the same address.* My experience was that the administrative staff regarded my presence as an intrusion, my questions as an annoyance, and any concerns, dismissively. (Though the nurse who drew blood was professional and personable.)* Dr. Boyd's office answering service does not take messages and there are several times during the day where the phone never picks up.* Dr. Boyd's offices did not call with any test results or explanation and the 'results posted' to the portal are brief and without context.* Dr. Boyd will introduce herself to you as someone who is 'loud and boisterous' and who 'doesn't always suit everyone' and, while bedside manner wasn't the biggest concern of mine, she should take into consideration the vulnerability of their patients - especially new clients - before making offhanded comments or facetious remarks about an individuals' body as they sit there, naked, on a table. Or worse - actively within stirrups.* Dr. Boyd did not open the floor to discuss other sterilization options besides the one I came in with, despite my inquiry.* My surgery consent form was a grainy photocopy of a photocopy of a form with typos. It is 2023 - you want me to let you cut open my body when you can't be bothered to operate a PDF? No. I will find another doctor.Exercise caution and review the testimonials to decide what level of comfort you have in pursuing this physician further. This was far too many strikes for me.
Mira J: Poor communication. I had a difficult time reaching them by phone to discuss follow up visit concerns. Also, Dr. BOYD did not take time listening to the patient.
Lacey Gow: Would never recommend Dr Boyd to anyone. Her nursing staff is absolutely amazing and wonderful but Dr Boyd is terrible. She wouldn't listen when I said I wanted things a certain way during my pregnancy and birth and kept pushing her own ideas like an epidural even tho I'm terrified of needles. While in labor she literally told me to "don't yell, just push" when my pain meds had worn off and my baby tore me. While stitching me, she kept commenting on me wincing and making noise. I was doing my very best to be still but I could feel every stitch and it was painful. Never going back to her and I hope more people read this and find someone better
Nick Lemanski: I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS WOMEN HAS A LICENSE. My girlfriend had the absolute worst experience with this so called “professional.” I have been with her for years and she’s had several gyno appointments with other doctors, never even told me how they went, however with BOYD she called me immediately after HORRIFIED. The lack of compassion and overall disgusting nature of this “doctor” had me write my first review EVER. She left my girlfriend feeling violated. She scolded her about her life choices, to start. She said she did not belong in a childcare environment (she is a full time nanny) due to her tattoos. She scolded her about not choosing to be vaccinated. (Also mentioned she should not be around children due to this). She was very aggressive when proceeding with the exam, causing her to bleed, and then proceeding to tell her that it was my girlfriends fault. If you have any past trauma don’t except this horrible women to be gentle. She was in and out in only a couple of minutes, answering none of the patients questions and leaving her in the room, ready to cry. Other reviews about this ill-mannered lady prove she does this to a lot of her patients, leaving them feeling terrible. She should not earn a dime doing this to women. I hope this, along with other reviews puts her out of business, because she does not belong anywhere near a trusting patient.
Serena Slaiwa: Amazing doctor and the staff is so wounderful and helpfull when I have questions and concerns they fine the answer fast or solve the problem even faster then most doctor office which in my opinion I a God send. The staff like Brianna the front desk girl is amazingand gets back to you super fast. All staff even Dr Boyd is helpfull and listen to like a really person.

Rachel Ann: Dr. Boyd is... Brassy, up front and to be honest, doesn't have the gental touch. I'd suggest a pain pill. But she knows what she is doing 100%. She delivered me from my mom and I have been seeing her since I was 17. She isn't going to beat around the bush and give you some b.s story. Take her with a grain assault. She is a fantastic doctor

Alysia Grant: I was incredibly well cared for by Dr. Boyd and her staff with prenatal care as well as labor and delivery.Dr. Boyd is as smart as they come! This allows her to be confident and direct in rendering advice, but she is also very easy to talk to and and is genuinely caring in her nature. It made me feel that me and my baby couldn't have been in better hands.I also appreciated that she took the time to be thorough with results even if they were unconcerning. It never felt like I was doing tests or treatments unnecessarily because everything was combed over and well explained.The staff are a friendly group of professional women and they keep things there running efficiently. The clinic itself is clean, nicely updated and inviting.My experience here was everything I could have possibly wanted and more.
Drew Shaffer: My first pregnancy in the beginning of 2021, i unfortunately miscarried. I was brought to this office FOUR times, with NO heartbeat detected, NO VISUAL but a blob in my sack, and i was lead on for a month and was not aware anything was wrong until i was in full blown miscarriage and demanded to be seen. she told me, and i quote, bc who could forget something like this. "ill have you back in a few weeks and if you havent processed the miscarriage by then, we'll "get this thing out of you"".... I have been blessed to be pregnant again and was thinking i was being emotional before, so i went to her again and ive still kinda never felt any support from Dr.Boyd... one of her nurses, Tina is great, when i miscarried she was the ONLY one that showed me any kind of compassion. I've been trying to get into another doctor but the appointments are so booked out i mentally cant go long without hearing my babys heartbeat because of my history, or i get really anxious.Her dog is also very cute, i dont know why people are upset about that. i have to ask to see the dog.
Linda: I became a patient after moving since this office was convenient. I had seen Dr. Boyd for about 15 years but I never considered her compassionate or caring. Her cold demeanor made me dread my yearly visit. Dr. Boyd comes across as rude asking about my personal life and prying outside the realm of my medical care. I much preferred to see the nurse practitioner but she has been gone for years. I would not recommend this doctor.

Based on these reviews about her crabbing she sounds like a good doctor who is at the age where she should be retiring. Bedside manner is very important and can't be over rated. I had a doctor who was rude when I was pregnant and I felt scared and vulnerable because of it. I chalked it up to her being professional but no, she was mean. My child has difficulties from her mistakes. Male Obgyn doctors are much more compassionate from my exoerience.

Lourdes Hulett: This woman is absolutely awful. She talks issues about other patients violating what was disclosed to her in private. I should've advised my daughter to find a different OBG Dr. not to mention, she brought students to that delivery room without asking my daughter if that was ok with her for them to be there. Woman beware!. I wouldn't recommend her!.
Sadie Cinato: I love Dr. Boyd! She has been my OB for over 10 years and I’ve always had a great experience with her. She provides great care and honesty without sugar coating, always straight to the point. Dr. Boyd makes me feel like I am her first priority as a patient, she truly cares about my everyday life, family and overall health. I’m so excited for her to deliver my first baby, I know we will be is the best hands. Also, Dr. Boyd has the friendliest nurses and staff. They exude joy in their work. I personally think this is a great reflection of a practice well run. Aside from providing excellent patient care, she’s a dog lover! And dog lovers are the best kind of people.

Jenna Buza: Terrible. Rude, apathetic, judgmental. Tried to force me to get on birth control when I told her I didn’t want it. Said, “oh you’re going to get pregnant, it’s going to happen.” She is not a nice person. She thinks she knows literally everything. I went to her for a procedure and it was way more painful than it should have been. Her equipment is absolutely ancient and she rushes you when you’re speaking and literally is combative in the way she communicates with you. Go somewhere else.
Andrea Transou: Such a smart doctor. It isn't that she's rude, she's just matter of fact and doesn't pacify people. A spade is a spade. I would rather have a truthful doctor rather than a coddling doctor. I am overweight, she said "you're overweight, you need to lose some of this weight, your life will be better for it". I do not see that as being rude. I see it as a medical professional giving an honest and very relevant, accurate opinion.

Hadel Naji: it was a bad experience because I was going and I entered the appointments late I was pregnant and tired she asked me to come two times at week and when I have diabetes she didn't give me a schedule to what to eat and didn't tell me about each bill I was thinking the office was sending my medicade information to all the medical tests centers all the bills came to my house after my labor 😭 and I have to call the center and should to tell them about my medicade unfortunately this happened I wasn't happy in my pregnancy

I thought at first she was really nice but 3 appointments later, she confirmed I have polycystic ovaries and fibroids and Her answer to my pain was that I need to quit smoking weed and that weed has brainwashed me. Now she says there’s no reason I should be in pain.I think she is more interested in a turn over than helping her patients. I have no further appointments with this office. At my last appointment she said, I need to call a cancer institute myself....I’ve never felt so lost

Lena Mar: Ridiculously long wait times! My appointment was at 11:30am, I still haven’t been seen and it’s 1pm. Pap smear tools just sit in a bowl of soapy water. I really hope they properly sanitize them. I’m finding a new ob before my next Pap smear. I’m a working mother of 5. I don’t have time to sit and wait for 2 hrs to just get checked. I could’ve done grocery shopping during that time frame. It happens with EVERY appt. I can’t keep planning my schedule around hers. Definitely don’t recommend.
Ebony Cunningham: I had laser removal from this company in 2015. I was left with sever burns. So much so they left extreme hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, chin and jaw area. I alerted the office of the matter and they refused to do anything regarding this. Dr. Shah asked for pictures, which I provided. Then they stopped answering my calls. Since the statue of limitations has not expired, I am considering legal action for negligence.

AJ Smithy: Dr. Shah is an exceptional doctor. I had a very difficult case and she was extremely patient taking time to explain all of the details of a procedure I was having. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable along the way and never rushed with me. She was accommodating with my needs. Even though I am extremely anxious, she never disregarded my concerns. She went through them one by one until I felt okay. Thank you so much for your care. I am so grateful that you are my doctor.

Brittani Simpson: Extremely long wait times. The nurses are incredibly rude. Dr shah performed an unnecessary emergency c section on me ‘because her husband was waiting for her to go on vacation’ and refused to try to very slightly move my baby despite the other drs request and now I can no longer deliver children naturally. The pap tools are just sitting out in a pan of what looks like soapy water. Definitely do not recommend!!
