Selfridge Military Air Museum: what do users think?
Jon Lawrence: Excellent collection of local aviation history. Nicely planned museum. Air park has a wide variety of aircraft. Very reasonably priced and convenient free parking.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $6–10 …More
Mariya Jo: Who knew such a small museum could pack such a punch. Our group of 4 adults and 6 children spend 3-4 hours touring and listening to volunteers/workers explain items and aircrafts (and tanks!). The people here are really what makes this museum so special. We were there well through, and past, lunch and the kids never complained they were so intrigued.
Jessica P: Was a nice little trip for the kids. The people running the museum are very knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to help us have a great visit. They provided so much information and detail. It really made the museum all the better.Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $6–10 …More

Dave Page: This past weekend, My son and I visited the museum, this has been a long time coming, and we were not disappointed. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted by Jim and Sam who gave a quick overview of the museum. Sam became our tourguide explaining about the history of the base and the museum as we traveled through the different eras and exhibits. After we finished the inside, we headed out to the SPAD hanagr, the Air Park, and we were given a tour of the restoration hangar where the Sherman tank lives and they are actively restoring a Corsair. This museum is definitely worth the price of admission for the artifacts, aircraft, and the wealth of knowledge provided by the volunteers. If you are interested in visiting, check out their website for more inforation such as days and hours of availbility. The guards at the base just checked my registration and insurance to make sure they were current, ran a quick background check on my driver's license, and then gave me a pass. Children did not need anything to get on base, just the adults.
Mark Van Woert: A must for anyone! Children especially! With the blatant destruction of our American History, indoctrination, and forced wokness, we as parents need to teach and subject our children our country's true history any chance we get!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $6–10 …More
Paul Lederman: My kids loved this place. The volunteers had had ton of knowledge and engaged with my kids a ton (my kids love reading and knew a lot about the equipment already). The people working on the machines were fantastic. Talked with my kids on and off for 4 hours.
Harold Tiburzi: Outstanding Adventure @Selfridge Airshow 2022!!

rad Productions: It was a very enjoyable experience. They give very detailed tours of 2 different planes. They look us go inside a tank. And they give the kids rides in the old ww2 jeep.
Heidi Wyse Seery: Great museum with really fun, knowledgeable and informative Director. Large static display of planes, too.
Wendy Zielen: Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry $6–10More
Frank Guastella: Wonder place to see !! Lots of history
M P: This is a great place, full of great people, great exhibits, and did I mention great people? We went on a tour with Steve, and he was amazing! He shared his experiences jumping out of some of the planes. My son and I had such a great time. I highly recommend it. There is so much history here, I don't want to spoil it, so just go check it out, you won't be sorry.
Raymond Michael Sand: A diamond in the rough. Needs to become a regional attraction.
Zhen Zhang: This is a hidden gem! The staff was kind enough to let us ride on Sherman! Make sure stop by their restoration garage, those tech geniuses are very friendly and knowledgeable!
Karen W: I really enjoyed going to this museum, will plan on going again
Paul Timmins: Awesome exhibits and lots of volunteers
Angela Celeste May: Wow! What an amazing experience we had. I surprised my husband by taking him to Selfridge Military Air Museum located on the active Selfridge Military Base after we were not able to visit the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC on a recent trip because it had not yet reopened. We both come from military families though neither of us have served, and my husband is an avid history buff and passionate about all things military from uniforms, to combat weapons, to aircraft in all branches and all eras of U.S. combat.I can't believe that being lifelong Detroiters we had never visited Selfridge but we will definitely be back! The exhibits inside the museum and all all the historic planes on the field outside, some of which visitors can access, as well as the knowledgeable Personnel makes this trip a must. Everyone was very welcoming and their commitment to being inclusive in telling that history is so necessary and refreshing. This place, second oldest base in the country, is a true Gem!

Michigan Air Guard Historical: what do users think?
Craig: Great place
Joe Hutchens: Great experience
howardrundell: The Selfridge Military Air Museum which is supported by the Michigan Air Guard Historical Association is a true hidden aviation "gem" in SE Michigan. Reflecting Selfridge's proud 100 year history, the Museum has on display many of the aircraft types from all branches of the military which have flown from Selfridge which include a full-scale WWI "Spad" replica, a Cold War Navy sub chaser, the P-3 Orion" and the mighty C-130 "Hercules" transport both of which are open for tours, the F-16 "Viper" and A-10 "Warthog" which are flying in America's defense today. Many artifacts from that same period are carefully displayed in the Museum's main building. Maintained by a 100% volunteer staff, the Selfridge Military Air Museum should be a "must see" on your SE Michigan "road trip" itinerary
