Atomic Daycare: 43 years ago my father and I rebuilt this player piano from the ground up. I was very young but I remember it like it was yesterday. My father just recently passed away and the piano was trapped in the basement as it would not fit up the stairs. These guys moved heaven and earth to figure out a way to get it out and even made two trips after a contractor took out several stairs to make it fit. Its sentimental value far exceeds its worth and any other movers would have scrapped it or walked away from the job but knowing what it means to me, they not only got it out but delivered it to my home without a scratch. Professional, knowledgeable and really good guys. I can't praise them enough! 100% above and beyond!

I communicated with Teresa online and she was very knowledgeable. On moving day, we received a call from Craig confirming that we were still on, and that he would be there between 12:30 and 2:30. They called when they were about 30 minutes away.They were fast, professional, and most of all, careful with moving our piano. Our apartment complex is very tricky when it comes to moving large items. They had it out of the apartment and into the moving container in about 30 minutes. I would highly recommend their services for your piano moving needs.

Benjamin Rush: I used this moving company to move my father’s belongings out of his apartment into a storage facility. The move included a large number of boxes, some furniture, and a grand piano. The move went very well and was completed in less than 3 hours. The 4 movers worked quickly and efficiently and wasted no time. They came prepared with all necessary tools and supplies. They disassembled and reassembled the piano at the storage locker without any damage. They also masterfully placed the belongings in the storage locker, saving us from having to buy an extra unit. As for communicating with the company, it was very easy. The receptionist was pleasant and the quoter revised the quote multiple times per my requests. They do offer optional transit insurance for a very reasonable price, ranging from $2-$7.25 per $1,000 in coverage depending on if the item is depreciated or not. There was a fuel charge for both trucks used ($50), a $228 service charge for transit, a $100 handling fee for the piano, and the labor was $57 per hour per person. The total for the move came to $1,025 including insurance which I thought was extremely fair and within the quoted estimate. The company does offer their own temperature controlled storage for items. We were quoted at $45 per month for the grand piano but declined. We will be using O’Sullivan Moving again.

Chris Jurkiw: Estimate quoted was for 7 hours and 1hr 15 min at $1596! $200 per hour Mon-Thurs deal plus truck fuel at $48 per.They did labor, drove to new home, and unloaded in just under 7 hours. Billed me for basically 9.5-10 hours. They claim the drive time is separate but when they’re done in the amount of hours quoted, I’ll even add the half hour back. It should be nowhere near the 40% up-charge! These people are unethical crooks. Don’t ever use them. This goes without mentioning the unprofessional swearing and arguments between their employees, damaging my new floors and furniture. Every phone call was just a spin game. My estimate clearly stated $200 per hour plus the fuel cost. Lying, deceptive, shady company. I will be putting in a complaint with the AG and BBB!

He comes and say he doesn’t feel like doing the job and doesn’t feel like digging when she was prepared and ready to move. Then pulls off on her with no communication of him doing so. . I’m not sure if he had a bad day or if it was a racial thing. But I wouldn’t recommend anyone to him. Learn how to talk to people who are willing to support your business or don’t own a business at all. I said what I said. The next moving company came and didn’t see any issues about what she had to move and was very happy to help her.

We shot the breeze while they worked, joked around, and they gave advice on various stuff ranging from bed placement to where in the world my bathroom plumbing access might possibly be. Everyone including Kristi, who booked me with only about 9 days' notice, were polite and sympathetic to my situation (middle of divorce) and made me feel taken care of. Nothing was damaged, they worked fast, and were the most affordable of the quotes I got.

They moved my belongings from a storage unit and exercise equipment from a house to my new home and took care to not damage anything like my previous movers had done. Scheduling my move was easy. I can't remember who I spoke with, but he was so friendly. I hired three movers for my move and they showed up right on time when they said they would. They also called about 20 minutes ahead to let me know they were on their way. All three were awesome. Especially, when it came time to move the ridiculously heavy stuff like my elliptical and treadmill. The care they took to ensure my exercise equipment, furniture, boxes, lamps, bike, etc. were moved and packed properly in the truck was fantastic. They also had to shuffle some large items already at my new house to other rooms and were great about that too. If and when I or any friends and family ever need a moving company in the future, I will absolutely call Rendezvous!

When I talked to Kristy on the phone she was extremely personable and helpful. After talking to multiple companies I decided to schedule the office move with Rendezvous. The office move is still pending, but about a week after I first talked to Kristy I found myself needing a personal residence move. I called Kristy and the scheduling/timeline worked great! I had this company pack my entire home (I literally didn't lift a finger to pack!) and move it. It took two days total for the packing AND moving combined. When the movers delivered my things they were very polite and made sure they were putting the boxes in the correct rooms. I would highly recommend this company for packing and moving services.

Peter VanGelderen: Per the quote we were given, they seemed cheaper than Two Men and a Truck, and we decided to give them a shot. Unfortunately, come moving day there were a few issues. First off, right away there was a problem as while my fiancee and I were showing them all of the items right when they arrived, the head mover seemed to ignore her and only seemed to pay attention when I was talking, which seemed very strange and unprofessional. Second, there was damage to our bed-frame, as one of the built in drawers at the foot of the bed was completely torn off somehow, with the other is coming off as well, and the legs holding the bed-frame up were bent from not being set down properly and never adjusted, so now we need to replace that rather quickly as that is a safety issue. Second, we had an elliptical that needed to go into our basement, and the movers did do their best to bring it down there, but because of the shape and weight were unable. (Technically the elliptical was not included on the quote, but there were no options for it on the website so I was unable to add it myself.) However, once we had established it needed to be disassembled first, we advised them not to touch it and to just continue with everything else. We managed to take it apart, and once we did the movers attempted to move it without asking us first. While they tried, they bumped a table that had a soda on it and knocked it over, and now the new place has a large stain on the carpet. When asked about this, Jim tried to imply that it was our fault, as we shouldn't have drinks in an active moving area, but the issue was it was not an active moving area, as stated before we had told the movers to not to do anything with it, so there was no reason for them to have been moving anything near there anyway. Lastly, the movers inaccurately calculated the working hours for the whole day, as they underestimated the size of their breaks and we got billed for time during which they weren't working. Their speed in general was fairly slow as well, taking about 4-5 hours longer than Two Men and a Truck did when they had moved the same amount of things a few years earlier. Essentially, with the billed time being so far over what was quoted, we ended up paying what we would have paid Two Men and a Truck, but without the quality and professionalism that usually comes with a higher cost. When I attempted to call in and speak with someone, we reached Jim, who advised he would talk to the movers and call me back after the weekend, but we never received that call. The following week, I went ahead and sent an email with pictures of the damaged bed-frame since I had not heard anything from them (He advised me to get pictures and have them ready for when he called back) and he responded saying he would review them and get back to me as soon as he could. That was two weeks ago, and he has not attempted to reach out since. Due to these issues, I would advise anyone thinking of using cheaper movers to simply just go for Two Men and a Truck, as you may end up paying the same higher price anyway without the corresponding quality.
