Rehabilitation Institute of MI Sterling Heights Center: what do users think?
emerald ashes: Mia worked with me after 2 reconstructive knee surgeries that resulted in mobility and movement induced pain issues. She was a professional and highly skilled trainer. Within weeks my pain level reduced and my mobility increased.
Julia Przyborowski: Called to schedule an initial appointment, and was sent straight to voicemail. It has been four days, and no one has returned my message. I will go definitely go elsewhere.
Dabius Brown: It is this business job to provide transportation to their patients who need it. The difficulty it is for them to communicate with their transportation staff has been placed on my shoulders which directly effects my case. Great location and business. Terrible communication if you have a case and assigned with an account with them, you may want to go elsewhere due to transportation.
Fadi: Horrible Customer Service. She took me off the waiting list because I was at work and couldn't call back. Her name is Jody. Complete disappointment with the receptionist.
Jacqueline Adams: My therapist is Erin and she has been an angel in helping recover from my total knee replacement.. she is sweet but tough and ty thats what I like about her..The facility is very clean and has a very positive atmosphere. Will continue and refer people to this facility.
chadelaeva: I kept telling them my knee hurts with the exercise ( I haven’t had that pain before I started) she kept ignoring my complaints! Also I asked several times for the exercises to be shown more acupuncture because I wasn’t sure if i am doing them correctly and that was ignored as well ! Sometimes she will not even look at me when i was doing an exercise (myfirst try of a new exercise) I was very upset.. I didn’t mention that I don’t feel well.. but i was told “it is normal “ every single time!
Sandy Joe: Rude receptionist, I called back to ask a question, she put me on hold for 20 MINUTES, just because she saw the same phone number. Thanks God that I didn't transfer my patient to their facility. "YOU DON'T WANT TO ANSWER THE PHONE AND YOU ARE RUDE WHICH IS GIVING BAD PICTURE AND REPUTATION ON YOUR BUSINESS".( BEWARE)
Sylvia Mauldin: I have been to Rehab 5 times and my therapist Erin has truly been a Blessing. I had 2 total knee replacements, she definitely have gotten me back to work after 90 days both times. I messed up my Achilles and that has definitely been a challenge. I started off with Erin my first two times on my Achilles, but my 3rd visit for my Achilles has been with Diane. Because she has been trained with these special instruments dealing with my Achilles. I just Thank God for Therapist like them both 🙌
Venta Med: Can't even meet their appointment obligations. Forced to reschedule because they can't read their own appointment list.

Pomeroy Living – Sterling Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation: what do users think?
Reena Evita: If I could give Pomeroy of Sterling Heights zero stars, I would. A place that WITHHOLDS LIFE SUSTAINING MEDICATION from residents needs to be sued, heavily fined or shut down. Please do not be fooled by the tidy appearance of this place. It is all a mask to conceal the neglect. After a six-day hospital stay, it was recommended that my almost 80-year-old mother be checked into a skilled rehabilitation facility, in hopes to regain some strength. After exhaustive research, my dad and I (her patient advocates) were initially relieved to find Pomeroy of Sterling Heights. The hospital case worker followed the referral submission protocol and provided this facility with details of my mom's medication needs, comprehensive dosage instructions (which were misplaced twice), hospital-stay records, etc. Pomeroy was made WELL AWARE of her medication needs prior to accepting her.I cannot stress the importance of my mom receiving her meds twice a day, in a timely manner - once in the morning and once in the evening. As I mentioned, they are medications she absolutely needs to keep her out of the hospital and/or alive. THESE MEDICATIONS MANAGE SERIOUS CONDITIONS THAT PREVENT MEDICAL EMERGENCIES related to her heart, blood-pressure, type 2 diabetes, seizure disorder, etc. With and ONLY with these medications, her conditions remain stable.Pomeroy failed us.My dad had to drive back there at 10:30pm last night because my mom had still not received her medications. He was able to give almost all of them to her HIMSELF because no one on duty did what was promised. I say ALMOST all of her meds because there were two that WE provided at the request of Pomeroy. These two medications went MIA last night. The nurse/caregiver my dad handed these bottles to tucked them away somewhere and no one knew where. As a result, my mom had to go without these critical medications. Only after arriving this morning, in person, with a lot of insistence, were those medications finally located and given back to us.Just 13 hours after my mom's arrival, we had to bring her home because of all the things I shared above. We have ZERO trust and faith in the staff here doing something as simple as administering critical medications in a timely way.Pomeroy of Sterling Heights isn't a charity. They rake in THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of dollars in revenue for a 1-2 week skilled rehab stay. This is absolutely pathetic. It is disappointing. It is unacceptable. It is DANGEROUS.Go ahead and look at other reviews I have written on Google. I don't blast businesses for fun. I don't expect perfection from businesses and usually if I have a less than perfect experience, I just move on with my life.I am writing this review because anyone reading this needs to know entrusting the life of your loved to Pomeroy of Sterling Heights is a decision you may end up regretting for the rest of your life.My mom is fortunate. She has patient advocates who will speak up for her. What happens to those who do not?
Timothy Cullensla2i9 9 opp wy: My ma was there 7 years an died, man they were so cold hearted, had her stuff packed and waiting in the lobby by the door. No one there to offer condolences just, her stuff is over there, and they stole what little money she had, dont expect any love out of this place, btw pomeroy, keep your reply, its to late
NAJAT KINA: Pomeroy facility is the best my husband is there since five months.the staff is friendly’ helpful and I recommend if you have any relatives or friends I recommend u to put them in this facility and u will not regret .I’m very thankful and grateful of all the staff. My Lord is my witness that I’m not one of their employee or one of their friends.
Lisa: My mom needed to go to rehab from the hospital. Pomeroy accepted her, she took a Covid test and we had the ride paid for. At the last minute the facility said they would not accept my mom if she would need chemotherapy for her cancer treatments at any time in the future! This is criminal and discriminatory! I'm glad she didn't go there if these are the types of people who would be in charge of her care. It's all about the money. So sad. The care of the patient and human life is nothing to this facility! I would have given 0 stars if that was an option!
Max: Placing my grandmother here is my biggest regret. Food not fit for farm animals, Upper management is useless and pretends to care for your concerns, The residents rooms are falling apart and their primary focus is selling more rooms. None of their facilities are any different.
lynn marie: EDIT* after owners response.Call? Now you want to talk to me? What a joke! I spoke with Scott Avery the morning that my mother was taken from your facility by EMS…when I voiced my complaints about the food quality, and the charting of food consumption I was told they could give her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich if she didn’t like her food…get real, no one there likes the food. Its always some form of ground protein or cubed protein with a scoop of mashed potatoes and some gravy. I even asked if they were giving my mother some kind of special diet and the lady bringing the food said no, everyone is getting this.Original post. * As I was on the phone with your social worker driving to bring my mom some dinner I was being called to let me know they were EMSing her to Beaumont. You want to talk now? When I was voicing my complaints to your social worker she told me that she would just release my mother early if I didn’t like the service she was receiving!Maybe you should talk to your people a little more often, the time for talking to me was over weeks ago.At one time this place was a good facility for rehab but they are terrible now. The head night nurses two days in a row didn’t even know why my mother was on one penicillin tablet a day.. one told me it was because of my mothers UTI, the other the following night told me it was for pneumonia. Neither was smart enough to realize that it was not a infection dose but instead a maintenance dose to ward off cellulitis. The food is low grade dog food and don’t let them fool you when they say they monitor how much food is being consumed by your loved one! They may monitor the amount but they do nothing with that data! They also fudge the numbers and were caught in the act doing so with my mother. My mom became so weak after a two week stay there that she could not fight off the MRSA infection she got during her stay. She was transported to the hospital the same day I became aware my mom was hardly eating, by then it was too late, the beginning of the end was starting! I was called as I was on my way there with dinner for her telling me her white cell count was sky high (that wasn’t being monitored often enough) and the EMS was leaving with her.I had a long conversation with the director Scott Avery that very same morning. They were aware that my mother had short term memory issues from dementia. She could not remember that she hardly ate. Also I brought food and kept it in her fridge but no one ever offered any of it to my mother despite my urging them too! Avery or who ever charts those food consumption number lied to me, I asked about a certain day and what they recorded for her lunch, Avery nervously danced around my question and finally said she ate 75%, that wasn’t true. I was there that day and had already brought my mom lunch that she consumed just one hour before the dog food was served. My mother only ate the mashed potato’s from that meal. We also instructed them on several occasions not to include coffee with her meals and to just give her hot tea, every day her meals came with coffee! In my conversation with Avery that morning I told him I was sure after what I saw on the days I was there his salary was clearly more than the food budget. I meant every word of it!My mother died a horrible death shortly thereafter at Troy Beaumont, she was too weak to recover because no one at Pomeroy cared enough to make sure my mother was eating properly or at least were smart enough to call us and allow us to know that most of the meals were at 25% consumption.Don’t trust this place to do the right thing, they just don’t have it in them! Beware of any establishment where the director writes a review about where he works and worse yet his employer pats him on the back about what a great job he does… I’m sure he brings in plenty of cash in the low grade meals he has served!
Coko: Very unprofessional mangerment and work environment. NO team work at all from some of the nurses all the way down to the staffed CNAS. I was harassed everyday for nothing and " favoritism" is at a all time high.Try to address the issues with mangerment but it fell on death ears. This was a VERY high stressful and drama filled work environment.
Kathy Baker: Was told I could visit my dad as long as I wore prop gear. Arrived and was told no, you must make an appt. My dad was transferred in the night and has seen no one
Fife Forte: The Absolute worse place to work and/or leave your family member. They don't care about their employees nor the patients. It's all about the money! Everything about the facility is HORRIFIC and I would highly recommend not dealing with this place of Business! My girlfriend worked there for a year with no insurance. When Covid19 hit she left due the high risk not being insured and unsafe work environment. She was able to draw unemployment only to have Pomeroy fight her claim making it seem Covid19 never happened. Since she didn't want to stay and work in the height of Covid putting family safety 1st she gets punished and now is in debt from the same company that she took care of. Establishment is a complete joke to say the least. Im sure any 5 star reviews are from employees administrators or friends and family of. Dont be fooled.JUST TERRIBLE!!!
Laura Cubbler: My 90 year old mother broke her wrist and was sent to Pomeroy for rehab and thankful she was sent here. Very clean facility and caring staff. Can’t say enough good things about Pomeroy. A few months earlier, she was at Shelby Rehab (the worst imaginable care). Than you for taking care of my mom!
Joyce Lee: Honestly not sure if there could be a worse facility for your loved one to be at. My grandfather has been a resident there for a few years now and it's been so incredibly sad to hear the horrific care and treatment he's received while being there. My grandfather is currently in the process of passing away. He was sent to the hospital after being unresponsive and the hospital said he needed to be on hospice care. As if hearing the news that my grandfather was declining wasn't hard enough, we now had to make an even more personal and emotional decision of which hospice company to use to help walk my family and grandfather through one of the most difficult chapters of our lives. We requested for my grandfather to use hospice services from a trusted hospice company. The trusted hospice company even offered to do everything they could to make the process smooth by driving out to Pomeroy to meet the staff, to drawing up all of the paperwork needed to do a one-time contract just so that they could come care for my grandfather. After letting Pomeroy know that we chose this trusted hospice company to care for my grandfather, they informed us that the trusted hospice company wasn't on their list of hospice companies and then threatened to discharge my grandfather from the facility if we didn't use one of their contract hospice companies. So not only were we not able to have the hospice company we wanted to use for my grandfather, we were faced with the even bigger threat of leaving my family in more distress by refusing to give my grandfather a bed for him to die comfortably in.I am most disappointed that my grandfather was no longer seen as a resident with dignity, but as a business transaction. Simply because we did not feel confident nor comfortable with choosing the hospice companies they were contracted with.Interestingly enough, Pomeroy Living's mission statement is as follows: "Pomeroy Living is committed to providing the highest level of quality care and treating all patients with whom we serve with compassion, dignity and respect". They sure have a funny way of showing "compassion", "dignity" and most importantly, "respect"...As listed on their website: "Pomeroy Living Skilled Rehabilitation has proudly served Metropolitan Detroit for over 30 years with a focus on skilled and personalized care." Beware, their definition of personalized care doesn't apply for when you're making the most important decision of choosing who you would like to support your loved one while they are passing away.
Riddhi Patel: Amazing place to work , very friendly staff .
Nicole Skoczylas: The Pomeroy Sterling Skilled team is like no other. They truly care about the residents and the building. You will always see a familiar face when you visit because of the great longevity of the staff. As an employee who feel proud to work in a 5 star building with a 5 star team and the best residents!
Scott Avery: I have proudly been the Administrator at Sterling Skilled for the past (13) years. The staff understand it is a privilege to be here daily for our residents, and we strive to provide a friendly, warm and positive culture in their home. We are unique, we are caring, we are family, we are Pomeroy Living Sterling Skilled!
kim emmers: I work at this facility. All staff is great to work with and are very respectful and attentive to each other’s needs as well as the residents.
Tena Hermance: I feel so blessed that my mother, who is 86, landed here after a hip replacement and it was determined she could not return to assisted living. I could not have asked for a more helpful, communicative, devoted and kind staff. I never worry that my mother's best interest is secondary. Everyone there is so good to her and she could not be happier (nor could I).!
London Brooke: So far so good! My mum is a current patient and has been treated with the best care so far, I love the fact that all the staff members make eye contact and greet you with a smile....😍😍
mrstyxxx: I was there 7 years ago when it was Cherrywood. I had open heart surgery and needed re-hab. The re-hab staff was great, nursing staff & aids were pretty good too. My only problem was with the head Dr. that visited there & was was in control of when you would be discharged. I was feeling very good & re-hab techs said I was ready to go home, but he would not release me. I ended up telling them I was leaving anyway, then a shrink & another Dr came in and I told them I was otta here. They talked to me as I was packing and finally discharged me. I told them either way I was leaving anyway & for them to do what they had to do. I got the feeling they were trying to keep there to just to make money, I have the best ins & did not pay one penny, except for the phone & TV. I don't think there are any re-hab places that are perfect, they are a business just like any other business. I would go there and talk to patients & their families during visiting hours and talk to some of the people that are there for re-hab. or long term.
Paul Bunion: The absolute worst center! Don't trust them!!! Hiding behind there smiles is awful, uncaring customer service standards with a admission team that does NOT know anything!!!
Bulls 34: There has been times where the food has either been over cooked or not cooked long enough! I have seen one of the head chefs prepare almost a whole meal With no gloves or a hairnet for his beard, and the mangers says nothing! This is very unacceptable and disgusting. I would NOT recommend sending a LOVED ONE here! Get it together dietary.
David Fleming: The manager of dietary need To be under review! She is very lazy & I feel she lets personal problems get in the way of work related issues! She Is The fist to Eat , like soon as the food is ready to be served she comes out get whatever she likes then disappear back into the office . VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! How do you eat before the residents ?

Henry Ford Rehabilitation - Lowell Park: what do users think?
Keyboards Direct: They don't sell cars here
Aimee McCoy: I’ve been here three times for therapy for three different injuries and each visit was great! They also make orthotics and I’ve done that twice too! Great experience with this location and would recommend!
Liz: Had a great experience there, as with all Henry Ford facilities. Everyone is very kind and helpful.
C. M.: Great therapists on staff here that really know how to help patients out.
Leo's finish carpentry llc: This is a garbage place. They take people's money and time in vain . They waste your time , your money and everything. Do not go there. They don't even help you with the pain. Very bad place for everyone. I lost my job and my nerves to go there and they didn't do nothing at all. I don't understand how the government allow these places to be still opened. They deserve zero stars.
Robin Schlief: I was pretty much in tears on my first visit in pain. Barbara gave me some simple exercises' to do at home. Was amazed at the pain relief that happened by doing these exercises and coming to PT. The people at the desk and everyone seemed very kind and friendly. I am going to recommend this place if others ask. Hopefully I won’t need to go back but if I do it’s going to be here! Thank you Barbara and everyone!
Monjoa Likine: Just very rude unhelpful, especially the receptionist Joyce. They billed me an incredibly high amount for one appointment and were crude and condescending when I attempted to figure out why. Joyce gave me a breakdown of the price (which was lower than the amount I was billed) and when I called back to verify the numbers and add her to a conference call with the billing department, she suddenly didn’t know the numbers and could no longer help me.Please go elsewhere for your therapeutic needs.
lina twal: Good environment and my therapist is caring
