Mahpara S. Syed, MD: what do users think?
Libby Menendez: I've had lupus for 8 years. Dr. Syed told me I didn't have lupus at the intake appointment and wanted to take me off all my medications. When I challenged her about this, she said she "never said I didn't have lupus." and that I "just didn't have that type of lupus." (whatever that means). I gave her two more appointments to redeem herself. Each one, she insisted I go off all my medications. When challenged or questioned why, she would say things like "Who is the doctor here? I am. I know what is best." or "That's not what I said. I said you should..." and then she would say the same thing in different wording. I don't trust it. So, I left. She also only spends like 3-5 minutes with you and doesn't even do a physical exam, which is weird. Go elsewhere.
choob succ: Arguably the most uncaring and argumentative doctor ive been to which is a shame because all of her office staff are very pleasant and nice. Came in for my ehlers danlos syndrome. She tried to do a beighton score on me and did it wrong trying to bend my thumb backwards instead of toward my wrist.I score a 7/9 when done correctly. She told me to keep taking Aleve for my excruciating joint and back pain. Ordered some tests and xrays that I really wouldnt have needed had the assessment been done correctly. I do have an actual diagnosis for hEDS now and all other doctors Ive seen have sent me for genetic testing without question, without being condescending. Amazing what happens when doctors listen and take you seriously, would not recommend her to anyone.
Marilynn Harvey: Dr is the only one after years of dealing with blood clotting issue, to figure out the cause. Explained to me in detail my results
Cabbage Patch: I will not return to this condescending woman, I suppose a women with lab results of Lupus is lying. She came in on her high horse explaining something to me as if I haven’t dealt with it for 35 years. Perhaps she thought I just wanted the hydroxychloroquine or that it was all in my head…very argumentative and combative. ”oh you have brain fog and you didn’t see a neurologist.” Twice she asked. No because it only happens when I have a lupus flare. “Oh you came to the doctor without your lab work” yes, because it’s in your electronic filing system. How about read my labs and my history before popping in the exam room 15-20 minutes late?!?! Without introducing yourself or empathizing with me. Not to mention, she decided what diagnoses to put in the computer although the lab work said something totally different. She perhaps need time off to contemplate why she became a doctor. Was it for power and control or was it to actual help others and see them get better. The way she is now, I would not get me better and I therefore, will find another doctor.
Lisa Soave: if I could give this office less than 1 star I would. They NEVER answer their phones or return messages and the Dr's are never available to see patients. Worst patient care ever!
Chelsea Bushido: Mahpara Syed is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever seen. She didn't take any of the concerns my PCP or myself expressed seriously, dismissed me for asking a question by saying "are you a doctor?" And told me that my autoimmune disorder symptoms were indicative of a "mental illness called fibromyalgia".....How is it that a physician doesn't know what fibromyalgia is? At that point I should have asked if she was a doctor. She was condescending, incompetent and lazy. She didn't run any of the tests my PCP referred me to her for, so I literally paid her to waste my time. If you're looking for answers, she's not going to be the one to find them for you. The only good thing I can say about my terrible experience is that I was able to get in for an appointment quickly; but, with the low standard of care provided, it makes sense why. I can laugh about the whole thing now, but save yourself the frustration and avoid this doctor at all costs.

Arthritis and Internal Medicine: what do users think?
Dr. Karen Keffer: I love Dr. Nercessian. He listens to what I have to say. He takes his time and never seems rushed. The office staff is pleasant and professional. They are always concerned about not only my issues that are related to the visit, but also my overall well being. I also appreciate that I can get my blood drawn in the office.
Mary Smith: This doctor told me he could not help me because I had to go get a bone biopsy and had to see an infectious disease doctor. I went to another doctor who ran a simple blood test and found out I have an autoimmune disease, not an infection. He did not listen to anything I had to say about my condition or experience and did not help at all. This visit was a complete was of time and money. In addition, this office is vastly behind on the times technologically. I brought in my imaging results on a disc and was told they did not have the ability to look at them. I paid my outstanding balance with my HSA and later had to call and give them all the verification number of the payment because they didn't have a record of it. My chart shows that I was a "no show" for the appointment because they don't "use that system" and can't change it. This office/practice is a joke. DO NOT GO HERE.
Addie Gearardo: I have came to Dr.Nercessian for over 9 years. I have rheumatoid arthritis and Crohns disease. I am able to get my i.v infusions at the office see the Dr on the same day. He is a very good dr, he cares about his patients and always has a pleasant disposition and answers my questions. I have gotten my i.v infusions from Jenny the nurse here and she is such a caring kind person! I dont feel like I am at a dr office I feel like they are part of my extended family now! Jade the medical assistant is very professional and kind as well.
Olivya Salem: He deserves 0 stars. He told me I have RA, then all the sudden he "never diagnosed" me with RA. I have had multiple doctors see me, take x-rays and tell me that arthritis is present, but Berj Necessian denies it. Why would I be sent to a Rheumatologist for absolutely no reason? Absolutely disgusted by this so called "Doctor", he doesn't care what you have to say either.DO NOT go to this office, find yourself a doctor that cares about you, what you have to say and finds a solution.
DAFT 7877: Horrible bedside manner. Didn't care ,nor want to help me in anyway. He exam was a joke, he literally made me feel like he didn't care whatsoever.... Just wanted to refer me to a pain clinic. Didn't want to try and figure out what is wrong with me..... No tests no nothing.... I was referred to a specialist in rheumatology from my PCP. I work for a Beaumont Doctor.. I know what should and shouldn't be done for patient care. I would definitely NOT recommend this Office........ I will be contacting my insurance company to make a complaint!!!!!
Chet Lewis: After my second visit, I decided to stop going there. As a patient, my concerns were not taken seriously. My second appointment felt like a repeat of the first. It was as if I had never been there before. I was the first appointment of the day and arrived early. I still had to wait for the doctor to finish his coffee before he walked in the room 30 minutes after my scheduled time. I tried to convey concerns with side-effects of the previously prescribed meds and he thought it was a joke...even started sharing it with the rest of the staff as if it was entertaining. I just don't feel like they were concerned about me as a patient - just another person to bill insurance off of.
Elizabeth Ruelle: Dr. Nercessian is very smart and great at his specialty. He is the one who diagnosed me and has a great knowledge of autoimmune issues.
Mishelle Walker: Saw this doctor over 15 years ago and he was rude as idk what. Unprofessional and could have cared less. I left in tears. Ridiculous to be a doctor and treat people so poorly. Don't waste your time!
Jessica Stewart: I chose this doctor because everywhere else had a longer waiting time or didn’t accept my insurance. Whomever I called to scheduled the appt with said she would call my doctors office for the referral. The day before my appt I get a phone call saying that my doctors office never submitted the referral and it was on me to do it. Whatever got that taken care of and went to my appt. The doctor was rude and dismissive of why I was even sent there. He ordered a test at a hospital to get done. I planned on going then canceling my follow appt. to find a new doctor. Got a phone call from the doctors office (the day before hospital appointment) while at work that my insurance denied the test after getting a phone call from the hospital that they never submitted anything to my insurance from the hospital. I called my insurance and they also confirmed that they didn’t send anything over. Don’t waste your time there even though you may get in quicker!
kenneth byrd: I have to really wonder how my experience with the Dr. Nercessian could be at the opposite end of the rating. He was right on with his diagnosis and treatment for my problem.
Paulette Wilson: Office staff were polite, but doctor was very rude and condescending. Did not address any concerns or explain test results. Office visit was a total waste of my time, please go elsewhere and don't waste your time!
Mike M: Rude and unprofessional staff.Doctor seemed pretty clueless on how to treat certain autoimmune issues. Very few answers and weak diagnosis.Go to U of M!! They will figure out what is wrong much faster. Better all around experience.

Husain Nasir MD: what do users think?
james zack: Never even made it in had a very nasty lady answer the phone when I called to ask a question . I guess they didn’t need the business after all .
Debbie Mara: What a great office, and Staff. Dr. Hussain the Rheumatolaist is a great physician.
Chanda Jennings: Terrifying experience, l am shocked at the lack of knowledge and education that I encountered at this “top tier professionals” office. Bedside manner was atrocious, abrasive and narcissistic.
Bonnie Karam: Good dr. Listens to me and my disease is one that many dr.'s don't believe in, he does.
shelley sulecki: I feel bad giving him a one star. He doesnt deserve one star. I was shocked at how unprofessional the entire experience was when I went in for my visit. He actually took a phone call on his cellphone during my consultation. He was demeaning in the way he spoke to me and pretty much dismissed my concerns of pain and my test results. I told my family doctor. He was not surprised at all.
Bienvenido Ceballos: Very professional and kinda, I recommend 100%
Kyle T.: I don’t understand the bad reviews. Dr. Husain has been literally the best doctor I have ever had. Quickly ordered an MRI. Found the cause of the problem, admitted me to the hospital and treated me for 6 weeks on vancomycin. Very smart doctor, very thorough, went over years of my medical history and listened to every question I had. If you need an infectious disease doc, and I’ve had more than one, Dr. Husain is the best one you can go to.
Dre G: Unprofessional speaks to his patients condescendingly, his knowledge of his practice is limited and has an attitude to compensate his lack of understanding.
Brittany Bolton: Please don't waste your time. First I was sent to the wrong location for an x-ray. When I went to the office to figure out where I was to go Dr. Hussein was extremely condescending as if it was my mistake and not his staff. When we rescheduled the appt because I didn't have xrays in time I waited 2 hours to be seen. The doctor told me he "fit me in" when he in fact overscheduled. He has zero bedside manner and rather than explaining my options was pushy, rude, and impatient and only gave me one option. There are plenty other doctors out there I'm sure that understand how to treat people with dignity and respect. It's clearly not this guy.

Brystowski Henry MD: what do users think?
Frank Krycia: I have seen Dr. B for about 20 years. He takes very good care of me. Very knowledgeable and gives great advice. Through his care my condition is under good control.
Tonya Hervonen: I saw this Dr after my rhuematologist retired. I had been being treated for anylosing spondylitis and fobromyalgia for 2 years by Dr Manveen Solujia with some success. This man discarded my diagnoses because he didnt see enough structural damage or fusion in my xrays, just some spirs forming. He even told me that the ease in syptoms i felt from the medications i had taken were just a placebo effect. I brought my records from my old dr and he didnt even look at them. He gave me a b12 injection to address my fatigue and told me to take CoQ10. None of which helpled.I was so thrown off by the expereince that it has taken months to work up the courage to start looking for someone else to help me.

Dr. Delfin Santos: what do users think?
Carrie Schochet: I have been waiting to see Dr. Santos for 2 months. Understandably, he closed his office due to inclement weather. I understand that. However, they are not able to provide any appointments for another month. The office staff is rude and impossible to deal with. They lack compassion for the stress their patients may be experiencing as they wait for appointment and answers.
Alyssa R: I love Dr. Santos and his office staff. He’s a great rheumatologist.
M C: Staff goes above and beyond. Helpful and friendly. Mathew is easy to talk to. He listens and cares about your health.
Cyndi Maynard: Dr Santos is knowledgeable; however the front desk staff is extremely rude. It’s difficult to get answers or get refills. I would not recommend going to this office due to the way the office staff treats the patients.
Heide Piccirilli: Dr. Santos and his staff are wonderful. The doctor will take time to answer my questions, explain course of treatment. Christine is theone of the most caring professionals I've ever met.
Marlene Hentschel: Travel from North Macomb County to see him. Best Doctor I have been to in a long time. Been going here about 10 years.

Henein Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center, P.C.: what do users think?
Pamela Myers: Dr. Henein spent almost 50 minutes with me. Very thorough made me feel very comfortable, Answered all my questions. My problem has gone on for over two months and she has given me some hope. Finally going in the right direction! Thank you.
Darlene H: I recently had my first appt. with Dr. Henein. After reading other reviews I agree with all of the positive reviews so there's not a lot that I can add, but I will. I found her to be very thorough, spent about 45 minutes with me. She's a great listener & seems very devoted to being a doctor. I'm truly so glad/lucky to have found her. She also has a wonderful personality & thankfully a good sense of humor.
Heather Sheridan: I'm someone who neglected their health and didn't feel comfortable going to doctors. Months ago, I ended up in the ER with some very scary symptoms. No one in the ER could tell me what happened to me and chalked it off to anxiety. I have a prior mental health diagnosis, so most doctors were very biased and kept telling me my symptoms were psychosomatic, despite several abnormal test results and the symptoms persisting for a long time. I was really scared no one would be able to help me. I wrote up a 100 page extensive medical history and brought it to Dr. Henein. They took copies and read it all without even blinking an eye. Dr. Henein did not judge me based on my prior diagnosis. She took into consideration my whole history, my current symptoms, and all of my test results and was able to successfully diagnose my Lupus/Sjogren's and get me on the proper treatment for it. My quality of life has changed for the better in such a short period of time and I never thought I'd feel like a brand new person from my treatment. Dr. Henein and her staff have changed my life and I would recommend anyone needing a Rheumatologist to go here. Dr. Henein WILL HELP YOU if you give her the chance to. She will make you feel comfortable and like a part of her family. She listens, she believes her patients, she treats her patients effectively and she CARES about your wellbeing!
Valerie McClellan: I was referred to Dr. Henein, Rheumatologist, by my family doctor. Dr. Henein is AMAZING! She is very professional, extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen and answer questions. My situation is complicated, and Dr. Henein dug in her heels to go over every detail with me.Her years of experience in Internal Medicine coupled with Rheumatology afford her the depth that is required to help her patients. From discussions about medications, epidemiology, genetics to management of disorders, Dr. Henein can impart great and clear information and guidance to her patients. She is kind, thoughtful and very caring. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is a bother to anyone. Dr. Henein is a breath of fresh air and a genuine person!I highly recommend Dr. Violette Henein to anyone who is looking for a sincere, dedicated doctor. Dr. Henein stands out, and is a blessing to my family and I.
Maggie Mae: Dr. Henein is absolutely amazing. I would 100% recommend her.
Victoria Bianco: Dr. Henein is wonderful and so is her staff!!! As busy as she is, she always manages to take her time with me and always finds ways to make me feel better! I’m very grateful for you Dr. Henein and Thank You for all that you do!!!!
A Nastas: Very pleased with Dr. Henein and her team. She is professional, knowledgeable, caring. She is on top of everything, and she makes sure you get the best experience and services through her clinic. My husband was reborn since seeing Dr. Henein after dealing for two years with other specialists. I would definitely recommend Dr Henein for your arthritis and osteoporosis needs, she is amazing.
Deereftw: I made an appt for my wife a month and a half in advance. Go to the office on the day of set appointment, for them to tell us we have no appointment made. After they sent us a business card with our appointment details and new patient documents. Why even bother taking the appointment if you’re not going to see the patients. Oh and waste our day, its especially not easy for us to get out to a doctor with a toddler. So waste my day, Thanks….
ella harr: I met Dr Henein a year ago. I had gone to numerous Dr including osteopath, who couldn't help me. I was crippled up barely being able to put on socks, zip up my skirt, sit for long, even get up to walk. I was so scared, I was only 58!! After ONE visit Dr Heneindiagnosed my problem...I had Polymyalgia Rheumatica, after giving me meds, with in 8 hours Ilooked at my family and said I'M BETTER. . She gave my active life back. I appreciate how she helped and still makes sure I'm doing well.Ella Harr.
Pam Delucia: I have been a patient of Dr. Henien’s for years. I love that she never rushes our appointments, truly listens to my issues and is honestly concerned. She has been amazing in controlling my RA and slowing it down. I recommend her all the time. ❤️
Franchesca Weiss: I've been a patient of Dr. Henein's since about 2012. I've NEVER had any issues. The entire staff is pleasant and kind. I trust Dr. Henein, she REALLY CARES. She's patient and kind. She answers all your questions. I wish all doctors were as kind, knowledgeable, caring and genuine as Dr. Henein. :)
a harnden: Just a paycheck. Doesn't care to figure out what's wrong. Just wants to prescribe things without a diagnosis. Waste of my time and money going here.
Edna Barsotti: I am so Blessed to have been refered to Dr. Henein. After years of suffering with pain and rashes she was able to diagnose my illness and get me on the right medication to control it all. Staff is Awesome and Caring and Sweet. Highly recommend Dr. HENEIN AND HER OFFICE. Truly an Angel to me, so blessed to be able to do things again without the pain. Everyone has noticed the change in me. Looking forward to my next 6 month check up. Hard to find the right Dr, but so happy she is mine.
Annette Miller: Her website asks you to leave brief info about you. So I did. I just got a call saying she doesn't see patients like me. She's never met me!!! Her receptionist is kind but this kind of patient practice is not. I have an MRI, pcp referral and family hx of osteoporosis and arthritis. How do I not qualify? So, you suck. I need to find someone who can help me. I'm in the medical field myself, this is not someone I'd send people to. If I could leave 0 stars I would.
Bob Hadley: Dr. Violette Henein is my wife’s Rheumatologist. She is a wonderful caring doctor, and we would highly recommend her to anyone seeking care. She takes the time to listen and answer our questions. She has helped us through countless complications and has found helpful treatments that have improved quality of life. We trust her advice and recommendations, she is highly knowledgeable in her field. The office staff go out of their way to fit us into the schedule when we really need an appointment. They are helpful in working with insurance.
Jenna Ciesluk: Worst place ever! Waited from January until March to even get my first appointment... felt iffy about the doc after leaving. Went to my follow up a month later and will never go back. On my first appointment i got blood work done that her medical assistant was supposed to call with results and didn’t and she just laughed that off like it was no big deal. Then when those results were negative she decided there could be nothing else causing my joint pain and literally said “i don’t know” multiple times during my visit. Then tried to blame the pain on anything else including my birth control and when i said my pain hasn’t been worse since taking that she said “i don’t know” again! She then went on to say that “young ladies my age in this much pain, it gets better with age so wait 2-3 years you will feel much better” MY HEAD WAS GOING TO EXPLODE!!! So i thought to myself so i just paid you $500 for you to tell me to turn 23 one day?!?!? Couldn’t believe it! Everything i asked her i got a response of a nervous laugh followed by an “i don’t know”! Not to mention super unprofessional talking with her hand over her mouth all the time so you can’t understand a word she’s saying. Then i go look at the summary of my last visit on my patient portal and there are not only one but two diagnosis listed, NONE OF WHICH WERE EVER MENTIONED TO ME DURING EITHER APPOINTMENT!!!!! I am completely furious and wish i could get my money back! Her only answer for my unexplained joint pain was that she will “monitor it” whatever that’s going to do?!?
Sandra James: This was probably one of my worst experiences seeing a doctor. She had “copies” of my medical record even though she had a laptop in front of her. The copies did not have previous test results to compare. She listened to my history and stated she wanted to put me on a particular drug. Which by the was is quite costly, but stated she wanted to do labs first. After telling her my history of reflux and how I was instructed to eliminate dairy as it was inflammatory and after doing so my symptoms subsided she responded “well dairy has a lot of calcium”. She then stated “we can start you on that drug today”. I then said “I thought you wanted to do my labs first”. A complete nightmare. Labs came back with a couple questionable results. I followed up a week later with another Dr and had them redrawn with completely different results. Not sure those original labs were mine. Also trying to get a call back on lab results and xrays was nearly impossible. Communication with office was sub par. Don’t waste your time or money
Dawn DiPonio: Dr. Henein and her staff provide attentive, considerate and thoughtful care. Dr. Henein listened to all of my concerns, took her time to discuss how we were going to proceed with my care. Her staff, front and back. were very pleasant and made me very comfortable. I left feeling confident that I was well cared for and will be in good hands going forward.
Kimberly Zaleski: My mother nearly died from Methotrexate toxicity last week and faces 6 months or more of rehabilitation. She has refills through July with no follow up scheduled up for monitoring side effects etc. Not only that but my 58 y/o mother has withered away the past 6 months and may very well miss out on her first Grandbaby's appearance next month. I knew something was happening and my Mom and I couldn't put our finger on it. From a professional standpoint, proper monitoring of a very dangerous drug would've saved her quality of life. I called today to notify the office and was told they would call me right back.....and nothing. Watch out for side effects, be your best advocate, and seek out a 2nd opinion if you're doubting your health and care here.Thinking back to my Grandmother's demise a few years ago, it was very similar to what we just went through with my Mother. Again, she was on methotrexate and no link was made. My Grandmother died and was probably underserved because of her "age". Look out for yourself and your LOVED ones.
Robin Schlief: I really like Dr. Henein. She was very kind and I felt relaxed and at ease talking to her from day one. She has been able to help me with my arthritis pain issues. I feel she does listen to what I say. I am so thankful for her. Her staff is also very kind and friendly. I'm sticking with her! So glad I found her!
