Sleep & Attention Disorders Institute: what do users think?
Larry: Dr. Sangal has been able to help me get past my sleep apnea and insomnia. Very nice sleep-study facilities and staff compared to what I have experienced in the past. Highly recommend.
Matthew Gagnon: Dr. Sangal has helped keep me alive!!!
Russell Yankovitch: I never knew what was wrong with me fully back in 2015 when I ended up having a mini stroke . While everyone was trying to figure out what had caused it an keep me from ever having one again or worse. In the time and tests I ended up finding out that I have sleep apnea among other things I was battling. I ended up being a patient with sleep & attention disorders institute an placed with Dr . Sangal. And his team they have been helping me get an keep my sleep apnea under control for 8 years now an still going strong. I recommend this place very much.
Rich Womack: Dr. Sangal and staff are very experienced, friendly and helpful. My interactions for sleep apnea have been life changing!
Megan Damico: If you are seeking late ADHD treatment/diagnosis as a women I encourage you to go elsewhere. I'm writing this late because I am still upset over my experience at this office and still struggling with an official diagnosis. I was sent a checklist of sorts that you have to fill in boxes for how they applied to you. When I arrived at the office I was expecting a genuine conversation at the least. I was read verbatim the checklist twice, once with I believe the MA and again by the physician. I was rushed into the next question and felt very dismissed by my attempt to elaborate at all. It was very clear to me that the men that spoke with me already had their minds made up since I didn't check the right boxes at face value. He asked if I had help in the form of therapist/psychologist and I did tell him that I was previously seeing them and put on a SSRI to treat anxiety/depression prior to losing medical coverage and was not addressed for my concerns of possible ADHD. He told me to "get my anxiety and depression under control and come back" if I was still having issues but the evaluation would be a waste of my time and money. I wish I had at least been explained what the evaluation would entail but I felt at that point there was no use and he would have his preconceived doubt regardless of the result. I felt that this doctor had not been concerned or was ignorant to the way ADHD may present in an adult women who have been masking their whole life. Since I did not have any issues in school or in my childhood that I could name it was not likely that I would benefit for treatment. I paid my suprise 300 dollar bill on the way out and cried in my car in frustration. I did not feel seen or heard and I felt like I has wasted my time and money. I am writing because I don't want another women to share this experience as I know we are not taken seriously in the medical field as it is. Anybody seeking late diagnosis knows after researching themselves extensively that a number of issues can present as anxiety and depression. I hope Dr. Sangal takes this criticism constructively and treats any women seeking help with more care and attention then I was shown in the future. There was more attention taken into consideration of that defensive comment then there was my actual appointment. If I knew that I was just going be asked to repeat the answers on the form that was mailed to my home and there was not going to be any further discussion beyond that I would have sought treatment elsewhere. If you have any preexisting metal disorders you will apparently not be taken seriously here. Rather than just defending your dismisivness it would have been nice to see a certain degree of accountability taken or apologies for how I felt from their experience at your office. Just some more feedback for you- your responses to negative reviews come of as unprofessional, apathetic, and clearly not open to constructive criticism. I write this really hoping the office does better in the future. Yikes.
Corsu Moran: I have nothing but amazing things to say about this facility, the staff and the Dr.! I went to another Sleep Center in Rochester 3 times and their staff was rude each time, so I didn't want to go back. At the Sleep & Attention Disorders Institute, I have been there 5 times already and every time the staff is friendly, kind, and helpful! I am so pleased that I found this facility and am getting the long-awaited help (and sleep) that I have needed! Thank you to Jessica, Matt, Gina and all of the other amazing staff for being so very wonderful!
Michelle Curtin: Our course with the team started out great. It did not take long, however, for me to realize the incompetence throughout their office. To begin, I had to explain to office staff how to email me a sleep diary after being told they did not have a digital copy. More concerning than that, Dr. Sangal does not know insurance rules around prescribing stimulants. I had to pay out of pocket due to his oversight. Another time he prescribed only 10 pills when our next appt was 14 days later. My daughter had to attend school at an insufficient dose. Lastly, he put a date on our script prohibiting us from filling it but one day before we ran out, when we were scheduled to be on vacation. (Controlled substances already have a restriction that you can only pick them up within 5 days of running out.) Dr. Sangal would not rewrite the script so we could have it in time for our vacation departure claiming it is “prohibited” to correct or rewrite a stimulant prescription. I asked the Walgreens pharmacist to give the office a call to explain this misunderstanding of theirs. The pharmacist promptly called me back to tell me the staff at Dr. Sangal’s acknowledged the purpose of the call and hung up on her! The pharmacist told me that has never happened to her before and she recommended we find a new doctor.
Don You: Absolutely the worst Dr. Office I have ever been to. 1 visit almost $300 out of pocket, with great insurance. They will definitely take advantage of you financially.
Joe SORRENTINO: This place was the biggest SCAM I've ever seen!!!!! Do not waste your money or time to get false results!!!! First of all I went to 2 different places to get 2 different opinions. The other place I went to explained everything from A-Z.WHAT A JOKE!!!! ALSO HAD A COUPLE DIRTY TISSUES UNDER THE BED!!! I FELT IT WAS NOT CLEAN OR SANITIZED!!!!
Salvatore Ciraulo: Go here. Dr. Sangal fixed my sleep issues. My sleep and and fatigue issues were so bad I couldn't work and go to school. I've never had a better sleep/wale cycle. I can't tell you how great it is it be up at 9am and have a normal day, and I didn't think that would be possible. Thank you, Dr. Sangal!
Guy Shore: Very nice and capable staff! Always a good experience...
Julie White: Dr Sangal and his team are exceptionally professional and treat everyone with kindness. They are all full of knowledge that answers any questions I have had. The sleep clinic is so clean I feel as though I’m sleeping in my OWN bed,,, it’s that comfortable!!!! Their bathrooms are just as exceptional! I came from a doctors office that was filthy the walls had fingerprints all over them and the staff did not care. I feel the total opposite at Dr Sangal‘s office. I would recommend Dr Sangal‘s office to anyone who is having trouble with sleep apnea or attention disorders. Truly a professional office!!! 💯
Larry Thacker: I’ve been going to Dr Sangal since 2015, and I couldn’t be happier.
john zannetti: Visited Dr Sangal and was diagnosed with sleep apnea and insomniaafter a sleep study. The facility and staff were very friendly, knowledgeableand accommodating. The treatment is still ongoing to find the best medication to get me to fall asleep and stay asleep. The bi/pap machine is working well after some adjusting. Dr Sangal always answers my array of questions. Looking forward to healthy restorative sleep!
Anmar Eshaq: I would recommend this to everyone
Ashley Ray: Dr. Sangal and his team have done an incredible job of helping me navigate my sleep disorder. They are always friendly and the facility is incredible. If you have ever participated in a sleep study or overnight stay, you know that you have to be comfortable to sleep! Their hotel-like rooms are amazing and give a real look at the true sleep of a person. I am so happy I found this place!
Nol Finkol: Doctor Sangal is friendly, efficient, and professional. I always get the sense I'm in good hands when I visit. The staff here are also very friendly and patient which is relieving if you're like me and have general or other kind of anxiety when it comes to going to the doctors. My routine visits for medication trialing are very quick. Overall I'm happy I chose this place regardless of the drive to get here because it feels worth it and I'd recommend it to anyone needing help with sleep and/or attention issues especially getting tested for ADHD and sleep apnea.
JAIME VIEAU: Dr. Sangal and his staff have helped my attention issues substantially. I no longer get overwhelmed completing tasks, I am able to focus without distractions, I have less daytime drowsiness, and I am much less forgetful overall. I highly recommend this office for treatment of attention disorders.
Gloria Storey: I was diagnosed with ADD after the age of 40 and can honestly say since treatment my life is MUCH improved. Proper treatment saved my marriage, helped me build healthier relationships, and improved my coping skills. The key word here is PROPER TREATMENT.Dr. Sangal is professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and STRICT. Be warned, he doesn't miss a thing! Each treatment plan is individually and specifically designed. It may not necessarily be what you want, but will definitely be what you need. For this reason alone I have referred other family members to him. Over the years I have come to appreciate and trust his skill as a physician, and feel confident in his ability to help.
Charles Felker: The SaADI works with you and your insurance company to get everything you need for better sleep. They are direct, no non-sense, and timely with appointments and diagnosis.
Tracy Moore: I have been going to Dr. Sangal for more than 20 years. With his help I have been able to improve my quality of life by keeping my daytime sleepiness under control.I'm always amazed how he remember the details of my history without having notes in front of him during our appointments.I would definitely recommend Dr. Sangal if you have sleeping issues.

Sleep Center - Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital: what do users think?
Ramiz Anton: I am very grateful to the sleep center, as they provided me with all the facilities required to complete the examination. The nurses did their duty with all honesty and sincerity. Thanks to the sleep center
Sally Naser: Dr hussain she is so mean she treat People like slave and never answer our questions and want always to talk and everybody listens to her well she is a doctor she have to have answers questions this is her job not our job I don’t recommend anybody to go to her she is very bad doctors
Brent Smetana: Dr. Asima never discussed my diagnosis or offered the Remede System device. Just told me to come in for ANOTHER night to be fitted for a CPAP. Waste of time. They also don't provide you with any medication to fall asleep in their hard beds for the initial sleep study.Go elsewhere. Before this review, the rating was 1.8 out of 5
Jessica L: How do you not have enough sleep study equipment to the point where the sleep tech is harassing you for the equipment that ended up not working anyways. I had to go back and forth three different times I'm glad my husband at least got his done. The doctor and office staff were very accommodating. I just didn't like the ladies attitude that does the actual sleep tech work
Ryan Kennedy: Highway robbery. Had a sleep study done that the front office staff told me was “covered by insurance” only to get hit with a $1,500 bill. When I pushed back they said they couldn’t help me, sent me to the billing dept (who had no idea what was going on), and then some representative who never returned my calls. They insisted I needed a second sleep study which was also supposed to be covered and was hit with another $1,500. I’m now in the hole for $3,000 for a procedure that cost others $300, and no one at this hospital has any answers for me.
Kay MacLeod: Dr. Husain has always been professional with me. She explains everything and takes time to do so. I have been her patient for 5 years.
Chocolate Chip: she does not listen to your concernsLied about sleeping pattern
David Bertrand: Dr Hussain is a Fraud! Was just told by Binson's that I never would have qualified except for the fact that Dr Hussain lied and wrote I had trouble staying awake during the day (which is not true). I've spent thousands of dollars for something I don't need. Avoid Dr Hussain!
