The Ski Company Ltd: what do users think?
Kaitlin Grzybowski: Went in a few days ago to buy boots and skis that were on clearance. Super happy with my experience. The workers are very knowledgeable and didn’t pressure me into anything. They also gave me a fantastic deal!!! I’m super excited as this is my first set of skis!! Highly recommend
Aaron Bennett: Really great place to get everything you need for skiing as well as getting equipment set up! It is important to get people that know what they are doing and they definitely do!
Robert D.: Great place for all your winter ski needs. The staff is awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. They take the time to understand your needs and make sure you walk out satisfied. No pressure sales, just professionalism and a top notch place.
Michelle Balint: Love shopping local but also the staff here is soooo helpful! I went in today to get my bindings adjusted because I had convinced myself I needed new ones, the man fixed it for me in 2 minutes. Such great service!
Susan Lassen: They were very detailed and patient with me and helped me pick out the best boots and skis for my needs. They gave me personalized attention. It was worth the drive.
pat winzeler: Solid ski store with knowledgeable and friendly staff. We would recommend this place, my wife bought a new set of skis and boot’s recently and we’re very happy with the product and experience.
Jeff Bramlage: Good and knowledgeable customer service staff!⛷️
Thomas Perry: Just lost an easy $1500 sale because nobody was willing to help me or even acknowledge my presence.
Gary Schultz: Best youth rental program around
Lonnie Freiburger: Friendly staff and wonderful rental program.
Carl Arendall: Friendly service, not too bad in store inventory and good end of season prices. I only wish their online inventory more accurately showed what they have in store. If you're looking for something, call them and ask! I can't wait to get season rental ski gear for my kids for next year! I wish I could give them 4.5 stars!Update: Did the season rental of skis, boots, and poles for the kids. It was perfect. The gear was good enough for them and it was easy to pick them up at the beginning of the year and return them at the end. Renting from them saved us so much money vs at the hill this year! Will definitely do it again next year!
Chad Martin (CHAD MARTIN SELLS HOMES): Friendly, Knowledgeable staff! They are awesome to work with and they have a great selection! They will treat you right. Highly Recommend!
Nichole Gaynier: I went in the shop right after they opened Saturday morning, and found a helmet I really liked. The owner said they have more sizes and colors downstairs. My boyfriend and I told him we were going to look around at a few other shops but would be back later to most likely get 2 helmets. We left and then came back a couple hours later, and noticed the helmet I was looking at was gone. Understanding the high demand for cool gear, we thought we missed out on it. The owner waved us down and said he pulled the helmet for me! Im guessing he realized it was the last one in that size and color. That was so awesome! Definitely give your business to this shop!
Candis Malcolm: What an awesome store!! I dealt with them over the phone as they had a particular Kuhl pant that I could not find anywhere and I live 2 1/2 -3 hours away from the store and they waived the shipping and got the item out the same day and Mark was fantastic on helping me!!!!
Colleen Tuohey: Great experience! All the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Matt in particular went above and beyond to get my board ready for a quick upcoming trip. Would definitely go back!
Andrew A: As a newer person to Skiing, I went to Rochester Ski Shop quite a few times now, and everyone here is super helpful, very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They are making me more comfortable with the sport.I would highly recommend coming here for your skiing needs.
Ann Coleman: Helpful, friendly, direct. They quickly solved a problem I had with a smile and reassurance. I bought 3 sets of first skis for me and my kids and they matched us well as intermediate Michigan skiers. Knowing they service ski teams I can see that they are helpful with the beginner and advanced and will be back when I'm ready for our next sets.
Bill Blomquist: Very professional attention to the high end ski technology they deal in. Always a pleasure to deal with.
Dongbin Fu: Highly recommended. I was shopping snowboard boots, and the staff helped me to find the right size and type of boots for me, and eventually I got a pair of boots with a solid brand and a reasonable price!
Mark Holsbeke: Great product and knowledgeable staff.
Stephanie Zsigo: Best place to get your winter gear! Been shopping there over 20 years.

Schummer's Ski Shop: what do users think?
first patriot: To make a long story short, there are much better ski shops. Next time I will go elsewhere.
Margeaux Mills: Amazing experience here. I recently brought in some old skis I had that one of the bindings completely ripped from. They thought they could fix the ski but after a couple of days they called me letting me know that the ski the binding ripped from was not actually going to be able to be fixed. After I let them know they could pitch the skis and save the bindings, and that I really don't use them very often except once or twice a year with family, they said they had an old rental set in stock that would actually fit me better that I could have. So for an extremely low price of just putting my bindings on, they put them on the new (old) skis. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody. Nice people, amazing customer service, and they do a great job.
Thomas Murphy: Steve was great and helped us immensely.
Joel Layton: Been to a lot of shops over the years and Schumers is full stop awesome. Ms Peggy was so great with my girls and got everything taken care of. It's old school in there. Solid selection and great great service.
milmamc73: Employees are super knowledgeable and helpful.
Mark Franchett: Amazing service : Mike does an amazing job of fitting ski boots. He is very knowledgeable on how to get your boots to fit correctly.
Rachel Prowse: Wonderful experience! Saved hundreds of dollars coming here and just gaining more information about my ski boots. Walked in thinking I would have to replace my boots (that we just purchased), but ended up only needing some orthotics and some tips about storing my equipment and making my boots more comfortable. Truly looking out for their customers, thank you!
Barbara Y: The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have great hours for shopping. Very nice selection of boots, skis, bindings, helmets, pants, jackets in the latest styles and levels of warmth for wherever you ski. Don’t forget to check out their variety of goggles and gloves 🧤 from beginners to advanced they have it all. Thank you to Peggy, Mike and Dennis
Trisha C: What awesome customer service! Our teenage son (relatively new to skiing) learned everything about ski boots, adjusting them, poles, skis and bindings all in one visit. Thank you for your time and patience Schummers!!!
Stacy Gekiere: Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Adnan Medic: Great local ski shop and the owners are so friendly and helpful l...
j lar: A neighborhood icon, timeless and nostalgic, it's always great going back. 50 years ago, it was a toss-up between Schummer's and Bavarian Village. One survived - for good reason. Knowledgeable and helpful, reasonable and convenient. Won't go elsewhere. Thank you, SSS.
Kathryn Koski: Always helpful! Always fair and honest! They stand behind their products. I won't get ski stuff anywhere else!
Robert Duker: This is always my first stop! They consistently provide great advice, service, and equipment and a very fair deal. Mike is without question, one of the best boot fitters around and will take the time to ensure you have a great fit!
Parker Rustmann: Best prices for ski equipment I've ever seen
Paul Burgoyne: Great, timeless local ski shop. If you need it they have it or will get it quickly. Fair prices. Superb service.

Vertical Drop Ski Shop: what do users think?
EJ Levy: Outstanding tune ups for race or recreational skis. The ski simulator is a blast. Great off season training. Boot fitting gets you dialed in.
Jen DeRonne: The Best !
Dan Glasser: Vertical Drop is awesome! They really pay attention, and take the time needed to make sure you get the right gear, and everything is fitted properly. The kids program is also really wonderful. I look forward to coming back each year as our kiddos get bigger.
Nick Hernandez: Great service! Got a nice pair of skis here. Very helpful! I see people over here begging to differ with this but I think there services have greatly improved!
Liam Thibodeau: Amazing recommendations for all sorts of things ski for me to buy!
Ashton Math: They were very nice and helped me find what I needed fast, and they helped me find the right size for me and my riding style.
Mona Goatley: Great training on the simulator. Way different than I ski, good leg strengthening. A good functional ski racing and conditioning tool.
Don Sherman: Happened upon this place after seeing a public interest story on a local news station. The reporter was demoing. the unique ski simulator. I am a recreational skier and happened to be considering purchasing new downhill skis for myself and family. This is a family owned establishment and the owner himself is actively assisting and fitting guests for products. Because of a serve ankle injury I sustained a few years ago I was very interested in the custom fit boot process they have in house. The hole proscess for the fitting takes some time and is pretty impressive. All that to say I picked up my new gear yesterday and hit the slpes down the road at Pine Knob.. Perfect fit and form... I am back in the saddle! Thank you!
Leland Babitch: We purchased new skis from this shop. They were good during the sales process, helping my son get into his first pair of race skis. However, after the sale, communication from the shop was terrible. We never got a call that his skis were ready or that his ordered items came in. Further, we dropped off an old set of skis so that they could be adjusted to fit his new boots, and they failed to complete the adjustments and tuning for more than a month (and 14 days past the time they promised). I called them on at least five occasions and never received a call back. Eventually, my son just picked up his old skis in frustration and will try to use them despite the lack of sharpening, tuning, waxing and adjustment.
alec mccleskey: I came in shopping for a coat for my son. I walked around the whole store and no one spoke to me. I left without buying anything.
Brett Conner: Excellent service. Had a pair of Fischer ski boots fitted with great results.
Pamela Musial: Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Danielle: Great owners, very friendly and helpful!
Keith Van Goor: EJ helped us out and we felt that he went above and beyond. Can't recommend Vertical Drop enough. We will definitely be back!
Tom Pierce: Called them up to get some late season xc skis for my wife. They were very helpful and we drove 1 1/2 hours to get there. When we arrived the skis had been put aside and he already had the boots waiting and they got perfectly! I can't say enough good things about this place!
Joshua Terryah: Very nice people to do business with. EJ and Bob are both very knowledgeable and happy to help. I went into the shop looking for new ski boot. They were able to get me into a new Fisher boot that was custom molded to my feet. These boots are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Thank you for your help guys!
Steven: Very poor consumer service, went in and waited for 5-10 minutes without anyone asking if I needed help.
Stephanie TankLib: They were a busy shop on Saturday morning but they were knowledgeable, friendly and got me set up with a great deal on cross country skis! Thank you!
Mike Ashley: Great ski shop with expert level advice you won't get from larger stores. Yes, the service can be a little slow but that is because it is a small business run by seasoned experts(not teenagers) who take time to make sure they are equipping customers with the right gear.
Kelly Hyer: Phenomenal customer service. Our kids are part of the "grow with me" program where you invest in the initial equipment and each year as the kids grow, you go back for a recheck and only pay the difference if you have to upgrade. This year they only had to get new boots. Because they were the same style boots, no fee this year. Also had my new bindings mounted there and they had them done in 2 days (when they estimated 4 days). Great selection of apparel too and priced decently.
Sara Locricchio: My newbie skier went on the simulator twice before we headed to Nubs Nob. She was able to ski all green runs and even tried a blue. Bob at Vertical Drop is an incredible teacher!

REI: what do users think?
Kevin Lodish: Guys at the bike shop are awesome and really take care of you and your MTB
Mary Campbell: Husband returned some warm weather bike pants flawlessly. Everyone were so helpful. Great discounts. Still the best place for bike stuff.April 2023, got my new water bracket and water bottle today and they are such a great store, used all our bonus points. Yippee.
Elaine Pearson: REI never fails me! The customer service is impeccable and helpful each & every single time. I’m a new camper and I walked out there more broke than when I walked in but listen…not only did REI take all my money but I walked out of there with every single piece of equipment I needed and so much knowledge and comfort in this new adventure. Todd is the MAN!! He was patient and awesome working with me! He had me try out the sleeping bags, the pads, explaining options and didn’t mind while I asked question after question. I don’t care what anyone says, REI is my go-to!
Bryan Eiseman: Store is always very clean and well organized. We are regularly helped by Todd and he is phenomenal - consistently chipper and incredibly friendly.
Scott Herzog: I haven’t been to the Troy store lately but wanted to express my appreciation for an online order that was delivered to my old address. REI stepped up tremendously and re-ordered my items and shippped them immediately to my new address. Unbelievable customer service and outstanding positive company composure and communication. I’ve been with them 19 years and will continue to tell people to shop here. Absolutely amazing service!
glen suszko: A great place for all your outside activities equipment.
DeShawn Hayes: I’ll never shop at any other outdoor store after my experience here. Staff is friendly and PRESENT you can actually find team members to talk to. They have everything you can think of for your adventures even some items you wouldn’t think you needed. Great sales and a cool program you can enroll in for the deals.
Richard Nave: Great stuff. Love the employees. With the member discount it is a great value. I always look forward to the garage sales.Great help with bikes.
Todd: Nice place. Was searching for some ice and rock climbing info, and learned more from the climbing girl in 20 minutes, than I did 3 hours on YouTube.Gave me a hands on equip tour and answered all my questions. Thanks
John Dissimo: Barbara needs to wash her hands. Yes Barbara, you sell outdoor gear but you need to use both soap+water after using the restroom because it’s available to you in this bathroom (this is Troy, not a campground in the upper peninsula), it is a typical Michigan winter and flu/cold season, and DUH you are still a customer representative for REI. Disgusting.
Dominic Carino: Snow was sticking to my cross country skis, so I went into the Troy REI looking for wax. I haven't had a stick of snow since using the wax, that the incredibly helpful employees recommended for me to use. Thanks a ton! My cross country experience just got WAY better!
Jennifer Blackford: The employee that helped show my husband, daughter and I interested items was very helpful, friendly and well informed. I did not get his name sadly but he was very helpful showing us the light weight chairs, and a few other items as well.
hussein Alawsi: One of the best shops their membership is mostly free you pay 20$ a year and they give you gift card with 20$.
Denise Denis: Great person at the register, Emily was very helpful.
Agatha Pawlikowski: Came in to pick up an online order and ask basic questions about buying some new skis. One particular dude at the ski counter was so rude in his response... left really disappointed in REI
antony portuguez: The best camping gear and the most affordable biking options. Great offers for members
J V: Always helpful and always has the right stuff for the job at hand. Reliable and friendly staff. The same great place! I still have stuff from them from the 80's and it works as good as the day I got it.
Jessica Oleskie: Always have great experiences with this location. The staff is the most helpful and honest, it truly makes you feel great as a member and customer to know they want to find you the best equipment for what you are personally seeking. Kyle was the representative in the back that was immensely knowledgeable and extremely helpful, Alexander was our representative in the front who cashed us out and was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Love how their member garage sale location is. We are very pleased and highly recommend this location.
Bobbi: In addition to having superior equipment, this particular location has quality customer service as well. 10/15/22 I made a purchase and didn’t notice until I was already home that I was charged incorrectly. I called the store to explain what happened, hoping I didn’t have to drive the hour back. Jessica Bertollini very promptly handled my issue, requiring her to go above and beyond any standard protocol. The customer service I received from her that day (and the day after) was outstanding, and I’m going to do my best to give my business to the Troy location solely from this experience. Thank you again so much Jessica! Just incredible.
Michael Hickey: Great stuff at this place, plus helpful service for when I had trouble finding a few things. I ought to be a member.
Kevin Belen: Super friendly staff!

Boyne Country Sports: what do users think?
Josh Cordero: Keep your inventory updated! Luckily a refund was smooth and easy, but inaccurate inventory seems to be a trend with these ski shops at the end of the year
Ian Vincent: TLDR: No integrity with members points, prejudice against providing services on items bought else where, manager unprofessional to own employees/customers, spend your time/money at your destination for better service, and be skeptical of local guide reviews.I've been to the Novi and Bloomfield Hills locations and to be honest avoid both these places. The Bloomfield Hills location and I suspect pretty much all Boyne Country Sports will not honor their rewards program. That is IF you spend a considerable amount of money they will not honor the converted points correctly because honestly they would lose sales revenue if they did. Also I suspect these places are just betting on people not tracking their purchases and points. Bottom line, if you spend a lot don't risk thinking I should get the rewards program so I can come back for X item at a discount later because they have no integrity with their in house members program. Also contacting corporate for Boyne Country Sports will not solve anything as they will just follow this endless scripted loop that gets you no where to resolve anything. The Novi location store manager (male with glasses, condescending, & chad-like laugh) is something else. He will try to up-sell you with everything. A job in retail can be some type of way and I even humored him the first time as he showed products and talked about how his store is on the same level as the best innovations in the 20th century for winter sports. OK, jokes aside, what I observed is he does not treat his employees with respect as he will rudely cut them off in the middle of their sentence. The same store manager does not listen to the customers. I came in for a service only to: a) not get what I drove 40 minutes there for, I called prior to check to make sure everything was in order and they said it was, b) passive aggressively get denied service because they didn't sell me the items I brought in for said service, c) see a manager/grown man be disrespectful to his employee, d) me as the customers have my intelligence and time disrespected with multiple nagging attempts at up-selling for the same products.Update: 2022/2023Don't not get your boot fittings done here. They are barely capable of doing a simple heat mould and can't do any advanced fitting that will yield you significant gains anyways. They do carry the main brands associated with winter sports, but the models of said brands are mostly low tier and barely middle tier; again be skeptical of inflated reviews by "local guides". Don't be fooled by the placement and allure of the few to slim high end $$$ merchandise near the entrance or throughout the store. On a final note they will deflect and redirect the customer elsewhere to get off the hook for defective products; thats just poor service. Go somewhere else...preferably get what you need/done where ever you're traveling for your winter trip.
Don Marks: Boyne mountain sports has a huge selection of skis and snowboarding equipment. They carry most of the top end brands.
Ben Goolsby (Ben): Good selection
Joe Pawlowski: Crowded. Over priced. Great selection.
Murray Speers: I came by on a recommendation from a fellow nurse to get my skis assessed for new bindings. Doug could not have been more gracious and helpful. Thanks so much for the excellent service!!
Eric Endlich: Staff is helpful and they have a great selection of winter gear and equipment.
Anthony S: Great wintersports store, perhaps the best in the area. Even though we are towards the end of the season, we were able to enroll two of our kids in their snowboard program saving us both money (rental) and time (long lines during rental) the rest of the season, as well as money (outgrowing gear) in the future. Their store is well maintained and still has decent selection all things considered and their staff very helpful. Looking forward to doing more business with them in the future.
Krishnan Vishwanathan: Great service
KP 25: Staff was helpful and they had lots of choices for snow pants while other store racks were empty.
marty maness: Your place for high end gear.
Aaron Bennett: Boyne country sports is a pretty good store for ski gear usually I have shopped their when something breaks and I’m skiing already.
Ivan K.: TERRIBLE Boot fitting and ski purchase experience.I am a beginner and trusted Boyne Country Sports to help me pick the skis and fit ski boots. When I picked my order up and went skiing for the first time i couldn't undo the bindings. I was LITERALLY BENDING ski poles to unclip. After talking to my expert skiing friends we determined that they incorrectly set bindings DIN setting to Expert level. I could have gotten seriously injured in case of the fall. After taking a skiing lessons, I realized that my foot was sliding inside the boots. When I removed the liner, I had about 1.25" gap to the shell from the heal. Clearly boots were too big. I called Boyne and they told me they will issue a refund and I should bring boots back. When I came for an exchange they sent me upstairs to the fitting department. Their expert fitter got really upset and told me they won't be issuing a refund for used boots and accused me that I specifically told the fitter to upsize the boot, which wasn't the case.I told the guy that I am not trying to accuse anyone, I just need to get it right. After showing his attitude we remeasured my feet and determined that original boots were indeed too big for me. Boyne charged me 15% restocking fee ($59 value) for the return and sole me more expensive pair of boots. So $160 later I finally have right fitting gear. My brand new skis probably had to be redrilled to move binding for the shorter BSL. It really left a bad taste. I will take my business elsewhere next time.
Gene Kula: We found it difficult to find help. Lots of people behind the desk on their phones.
Rob Weir: Excellent staff and selection! Great expertise and very helpful.
Michael G: Friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped me with my ski boot fitting.
君苟: Friendly staff, nice gears
Lu Yating: Good Skii Supply Store , nice environment and really friendly staff. They have a Junior has a fit program, which can always fit your growing up size kids, and give the a lovely winter time.
Devine Taylor: Great selection
Dan stagner: These guys are the best!!
Brian Udebrock: Love this place. My daughter is in their junior snowboard program where she gets a larger size every year at little to no cost. When she is ready for a long-term size everything we have paid is credited toward her permanent equipment. If you have little ones that ski or snowboard this is just great. On top of that the sales staff is knowledgeable and a joy to work with. Definitely recommend this place.

Boyne Country Sports: what do users think?
Natalie Fowler: Tons of selection and helpful staff!
Nina Trabskiy: Lots of skiing and snowboarding equipment! Highly recommend
Kexuan: I bought my ski and got my boots tuned here. Mounting binding and ski took about 1 hour. Boots fitting was professionally and prices are reasonable. Compare to Sun&Snow and REI, I prefer here overall.
Anthony Young: Mix bag for ski fiting services. They have a huge selection of product and a clearance center in the back by the Kids Club rentals.
Jeff Schulz: I have had nothing but an amazing experience with this store and their employees. I have been using this store for several years for the junior ski program and have received fantastic service. Coming in to get fit is something my kids look forward to every year. This year, I purchased boots at the store, Brandon did a phenomenal job getting my fit dialed in. Additionally, the team there has made sure to solve any equipment issues i have experienced and made sure i had the proper equipment for me and my skiing style. I highly recommend them!!
Stephen Williams: Best people, best products, best period.
Shawn Bakewell: If you are looking for a great local business to support in Novi, our family has always had a great experience here. Today we visited to get my son geared up for the season. Steve was so very helpful and took the time to find us the right gear while respecting our budget. Thanks Steve! We appreciate you.
David Lawless: Customer service is a joke. The assistance manager is a Rude . Spent over 4 thousands dollars . Ill Never go back
Rose Soriano: *** Long but VALID concern about this location ***Disappointing and Frustrating ServiceI waited more than an hour to get a ski boot fitting. They have a waitlist sheet to sign up on, which I was on, but was unfortunately forced to wait longer after a customer convinced an associate to jump the waitlist. Expressing that I was next on the waitlist was no use. After more than an hour I was finally called for a fit and the service was NOTHING like I had observed over the last hour. Bill, the associate, treated the boot fitting as if it were a tennis shoe fitting - put it on, how does it feel. A drastic difference from the 2 other young individuals receiving help - a step by step formal fitting. Shocked by the lack of professional treatment, it became clear that I was the only [young looking] individual in the store getting fit that DID NOT HAVE parents with them during the process. Mind you, I am not at the age where I need my parents with me to purchase ski boots, I also had on a $650 pair of boots - I am not a first time skiier, but I am a first time boot buyer - an intimidating process. Whether intended or not, it truly felt like since I was alone, Bill had nothing to prove since no one was looking over my shoulder watching him like the other 2 customers and their parties. Thus, no point in treating me like a ‘regular’ customer that would receive full service. I will not be purchasing from this location.
matthew peacock: They have a pretty good selection of soft goods, but i was there for the hard goods, which they also have a pretty good selection of. I was looking to try on a specific boot and was ready to purchase the boot. I called before I arrived to check stock and the gentleman who answered was extremely helpful and advised they had them in stock and there would be a wait because they were busy, he was right. I waited about 1/2 hour to try on the boots, no big deal, I appreciate that they give the customers trying on boots the time and attention they deserve. During this time I was able to observe 3 of the 4 salesmen work, I would say 2 of those 3 were trustworthy and knowledgeable. The third however, i believe his name was Ron, was nothing but a salesman. I saw him sell a likely beginner (based on conversation and terms, or lack thereof, used) skis that no beginner belongs on and worse, boots way above his likely ability. The guy was trying on 90 flex boots and the salesman ended up selling him 130 flex boots, you are either in the 90-110 flex market or you are a 120-130 flex market, theres no reason the same person should be fitted for boots in such a wide range. The 130 flex boots I came for, they had just been sold, so i tried on the 120 of the same model ended up needing a size smaller, those fit. The salesman tried selling me those boots, because thats what they had in stock not because it was the right boot. He then snapped "ok, take them off" when I told I didn't want that boot, i wanted the 130. I was ready to have him order them from another store, but after the snap i left and ordered them online from somewhere else. Your loss BCS. If you do go here, work with the younger sales/boots guys, they seem more knowledgeable and less slimy.
J Lee: Large selection of items at good prices. Staff is helpful although if busy it may take some time.
Towana Annette Harris: Excellent clothing and equipment
Jamie Boboltz: Exemplary service and very knowledgeable staff while getting grandsons fitted for skis and boots. Highly recommend this business if you need assistance in purchasing skis for children!
Cate Zatkoff: We go here for all of our ski equipment for our whole family. They always have many staff member working at a given time to help with the influx of people on the weekend which is appreciated. I’ve also purchased jackets and other winter gear from here and am always very pleased with the quality. Great service if you are in the market for a new set of skis or snowboard. They also have a good selection.
Molly Bonds: Fitting issues resulting in repeat visits for busy families isn’t okay. They need to work on educating their employees on proper ways to fit kids boots for skies.
Jason Bristow: My two kids both needed new skis for this season and our local shop went out of business. We picked Boyne CS based on location and the reviews and could not be happier with our decision. We thought both kids would need new boots but the professional at BCS told us that they had another year on them. That is the honesty that makes you want to come back again in the future. We walked out with two new sets of skis and will be back again very soon to buy new boots for my wife. I could not recommend them more to anyone in the market for ski equipment.
Andrew: A huge selection of outdoor and skiing outfitters
Mark Williams: Great ski gear selection. Ski program for kids is amazing - highly recommended!
Little Goose Organic Baby Food: Great helpful staff. Good deals.
1969bogdi: Their shelves are almost empty… I really don’t understand how they can keep so many employees without having much to sell… I am very disappointed in how this store is being managed…
Gerald Fortuna: Went there because I was told they know how to fit boots .. they don't

Moosejaw Bike & Snow: what do users think?
Ihor BMV: Good people and shop
Tommy: They carry Jones Boards
David The Wise: This place is amazingly friendly something you dont find in the repair service much anymore the employees are amazing and helpful I called them earlier and I literally made a new friend the efficacy and good work is top notch especially on my classic 1989 rockhopper I'd give this place a ten stars if I could.
Hfmd djgk: Excellent, friendly, accomodating service and great selection.
David Lingerfelt: Update: I've bought three bikes from them so far. The team has been amazing. They are friendly and helpful. Everyone there seems to be a bicyclist and are willing to share knowledge about local trails and bike gear preferences. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a bike or just gear.Previous: I can't say enough good about these guys. I bought a Surly Disc trucker there and they helped me get it all set up and running. I bought that in store and it was a breeze, they even threw all my accessories on for me.I recently bought a Kona big Honzo online and I wish I had bought it in store. Can't change that now. On my first day getting the bike I took it out and managed to break it. I got back into the shop same day and they ordered parts for me and are taking care of it. I am happy there is a bike shop near by that is friendly and fast. I will definitely keep coming here.I highly recommend if you're thinking about a bike to go see them, they can help you find the right one.
David Bridge: This shop is great! The people are very, very helpful and knowledgeable, and the selection is really solid. Eric and everyone at the store are the best - I have always walked out w what I was looking for and several more things that I couldn’t pass up! I really like the bike shop, and the entire selection of outdoor clothes and equipment has always been great!
Erik Romer: love this store
Garrett Peabody: Best shop for technical ski and bike service and advise in Michigan!! Kyle, Brian and the rest of the staff are my "go to" for mounting tech/touring bindings on skis and fine tuning my gravel bike. Thank you MJ crew!!
MikeWithaBike: Went here to get a new bike and had a fantastic experience. The staff was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. They allowed me to take a ride on the bike and even let me know where to head to test it out. After I decided I did want to buy it they helped me do the affirm loan every step of the way. They explained the moose jaw bucks, gave me a couple extras for the bike, and answered more of my questions on the phone after I left. Finally they walked the dang bike out and loaded it in my car as well as explained how the front quick release works. I wanted to give 6 stars but I seem to be limited to just 5. Great experience and can’t wait to be back for tune ups.
Kyle Whittaker: Went in to buy some used skis and to get fitted for boots. They have this cool 3-D scanner for your feet to ensure a great fit. The staff and store manager, Erik, were very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me 4 different boots to try on with different insoles to find the most comfortable fit. I will always come back to this location due to my great experience. Really quick turn around on equipment setup too!
Ian Guswiler: Took my Kona bike in for warranty frame replacement and these guys got me hooked up even though my bike was out of warranty.Super good communication throughout the process, and they tuned my bike up very nicely after the parts swap to the replacement frame. Will definitely be coming here again when the need arises.
Sarah McCuish: Had a great experience buying a bike rack here. They looked for what I wanted over the phone, and let me pay via phone so it was an easy pickup. Very friendly staff.
scott allen: I get my bikes worked on here. Excellent work. Reasonable prices. Quick turnaround. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be around. What more could you ask for from a bike and snow shop?
Victor Torres: No customer service whatsoever. I walked around the store for about 15 minutes looking to buy a new pair of snowboarding pants and perhaps a new snowboard. No one came to help I went up to the register and ask for help and the gentleman behind the desk still barely looked up didn’t acknowledge me and he said everything that we have is out there. So I left
Michael Kulick: Helpful staff and great selection.
Professional Ground Maintenance Services: This store is run better than any shop I have been to in yesrs! The best customer service! Patrick went the extra mile to get me the Thule cargo box I needed in 2 days! ( everyone else could get it to me for up to six weeks! )Good old fashioned customer service! Thanks guys!Ann
Max Wilde: The guys here go above and beyond. They helped me out with a tubeless set up that another bike shop left me high and dry with. One time they even swapped out an xx1 chain from a whole groupset just so I could buy a gold one same day. Nothing but praise for these guys. I feel like other local bike shops would rather the next customer didn't walk through the door.
Bobby Robert: They are particularly helpful and good at customer service.
Pat Harbin: Great folks and even better service!
Jared Sherman: Nicest people. Fixed my bike in a time were very few bike shops were open!
mister dumpling: Knowledgable staff and great quality products.

1969bogdi: This is by far!! the best ski equipment shop in the area. The store itself, the stock they have and the staff are incomparable with all the other stores in the area ( Boyne ski shop, Alpine Valley ski shop and The Peak Ski shop…). It’s a longer drive for me, but it’s well worth it!!!
Nadya Shestakov: There is a lot of useful gear for both snowboarders and skiers. The staff was also extreamly helpful and caring!!!!
Anton Marku: Came here for my first pair of skis, boots, and poles. Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions I had. Evan helped me getting my boots set up, and recommended the perfect skis for me.

Ted Sell: Got hooked up with custom fit boots for one hot rig!!! 🔥💥 Thank you Carl @ Nichols Ski and Snowboard!!!
Kenzie Schodowski: Awesome spot! This shop has everything you need to hit the slopes. The owner was kind enough to have my board transported from the Dearborn location to the Waterford location. The staff was awesome as well! The binding setup took less than 20 minutes and was free with the purchase of the snowboard. Highly recommend this local spot! Can’t wait to come back to stock up on goodies for next season 🏂🎿
Jillian Wuestenberg: This snowboard shop has some amazing gear and the staff is extremely helpful.
