Kurt667: I lived here back in 2008-2009 and the whole first floor flooded within the first three months. They also never kept the garbage chute cleaned out and it jammed up all of the time. Doesn't sound like things have improved over the years.
Francisco Landeros: Looks somewhat old. Could use renovation.
Spencer Krul: The dirty south lives on
Austin Rowe: Outdated and in need of many repairs. Lived here for 5 years
Shalin Nagori: All utilities covered and fast mail service but we are not allowed to go on balcony!

Martin Hoemke: I've lived in South Housing for almost 4 years now. It isn't great and it's age shows and could definitely use a renovation but the prices are amazing given that you don't have to pay for any utilities yourself. The rooms are apartment style and maintenance is usually quick but often have sloppy work that will make you have to place another work order to have them come out again. Maintenance can also be rude and barge in. But the RA's and housing staff are usually very good at their jobs and personable.
Talib Abdulmalik: its not that good nor its bad.
asiadobbin95: The place was not taken care regularly, I struggled to have heat during the winter. The maintenence was not efficient.
Walker Child: Good housing, great students and staff!
Karl Hense: Pretty decent amount of selection and options with good people to assist you with concerns.
Fefe Asidi: Even though it's old, it's better than Ruess Tbh.
Matthew Webster: Burn it down. Disgusting. I'm a student here and would never pay to live here.

philip sparagowski: Love this Oakland U campus it's beautiful and worth a look if you got kids getting ready for college
Denise Solis: Hamlin Hall is totally outdated. It has no air conditioning and 2 people are forced to share a teeny tiny bedroom. To make matters worse, the dorm room has a "common" area no bigger than a closet with another bedroom with 2 more people living in it. All 4 people are expected to use 1 bathroom that has 1 sink and is not separated by anything other than a door. This means that only 1 person at a time can use the bathroom. The dorm room was nothing like what we were shown during orientation. With all the money Oakland University charges for housing and tuition, you would think the dorms would be nicer. Unfortunately, OU does not offer single rooms. Very disappointed. Shame on OU for not improving housing facilities.
Aengus McIntosh: Moving another child into Hamlin Hall. Other than lack of A/C it is not a bad first dorm experience.

Madison: I love Hamlin. Was a bit unsure about it prior to move in, but it's so cozy, the rooms are nice. (Upper floors have a bit less nice of closets, the dressers have less drawers or less shallow drawers, so I guess 1 South is where it's at). The setting on campus is very very nice. Everything you need is definitely within walking distance! Having no AC hasn't been much of a problem, fans are a must for the first month or so though.

Isiah Gettel: Went to Oakland for a college visit, but the dorms felt cramped and the tour was very limited and didn't see all of what the dorms had to offer.

oskar.142: Very nice looking place. Delicious food. But I've noticed that you guys are understaffed. I've seen the same few workers for the whole entire day. You guys should get more employees. Also they're not treated that well. The cashiers should get something to rest on like a chair or something. I can imagine how they're legs are exhausted after a whole day of standing.
