Candy: Not happy at all with purchase. I was promised they would order the missing rear head rests it has been a year and I still do not have them. Spoke with saleman Nuo several times on status of headrests and spoke to the sales manager twice and no follow through. Nuo doesn't return calls or texts for a status. The service they said they did prior to pickup isn't on record for vehicle. I removed my negative review the last time in August when manager promised to follow through. I would not recommend buying from this dealer. All talk no action. Worst experience.
Hannah: I live 1.5 miles away and have previously gone to this dealership for convenience but I have had problems getting service done here. In the past, I have dropped my car off at 7am stating I needed it by 2pm (no flushes being done, just a regular oil change and inspection along with a light replacement) and not been able to get my car until 6pm. I have had to wait 30 minutes to pay at times (gone inside to see plenty of sales people standing around and asked them to simply allow me to pay and they were no help). This last visit was the last straw. I got an oil change and "multipoint inspection" done in April. I was quoted ~$1400 for new tires and an alignment (expected). This is something that I am able to do without Subaru. Upon purchasing new tires and pulling every wheel off my vehicle, I have found out that the tread in my tires was 5-6/32, not the 2-3 I was told. I had a valve stem leaking, and my rear brakes need to be redone. In April, I was also told by the tech at Subaru that a tire roation wouldnt be done because the best tread was already in the front, this was another lie and yesterday the tires with the most tread were moved to the front. Upon the tread in my tires being much higher than quoted at Subaru and all of the other issues missed, I went into Subaru today to talk to the Service Manager and Sean, the tech, about all of this. The Service Manager didn't appear to have much concern with my irritation and basically said that if I wasn't happy with the work being done here than to go elsewhere. If you're comfortable doing your own multiploint inspections to recheck the service done here, I would keep coming to Suburban Subaru. But, if you like the assurance that your car is in good hands, I would go elsewhere.I have been working with a female associate to order the new Crosstrek Wilderness when it becomes available but after these experiences and the lack of integrity in the service department, I will be shopping elsewhere.
Sanja O: Took my car in for a simple tire rotation because I was too busy to do it at home. Shortly afterwards I saw that they had cross-threaded several lug nuts, causing the studs to break off if you touched them. I called dealership and they were reluctant, but did agree to fix this issue. I asked if they could check the other lug nuts and they said they would. However, either they forgot or lied, because I found more cross-threaded lug nuts after taking the vehicle home. I called again and they said they would fix it, but charged me this time, even though they caused the problem in the first place. I've taken my car into other Subaru dealerships for tire rotations and oil changes in the past when I was too busy to do the work myself, and this has never happened. Poor customer service and poor mechanic work.
Felicity Richards: I initially liked this dealership and was interested in buying a used car they had on their lot a few weeks back. I reviewed it with the salesman Hunter who was friendly, went over all the features, and reviewed price options. We had discussed a deal for the car that was reasonable, at the time the car was new on the lot and they didn't have the title. Hunter let me know he'd call me once they had the title to finalize the deal, but he never did. Four days after stopping by the dealership I called to follow up, was informed by the receptionist that my salesman was on vacation and forwarded me to another salesman to discuss the deal. I was informed the car I was interested in sold. I was disappointed, I wish the salesman had coordinated a follow-up so I didn't end up losing out on a deal.
Logan: Flew in to Michigan (600 miles) to grab my car from Suburban Subaru. I had been in contact with a representative here online and the process had been rocky for me because I am a first time car buyer. Their representative (Mr. Gojcaj) was super understanding. When I arrived they unfortunately had technical issues but I was given time to review paperwork, work on a price, and their facilities is relaxing. Buying a car can and probably will be stressful but I'm glad I went with Suburban Subaru 👍

He sent extra pictures to show the condition of the car to make sure we knew exactly what to expect before we drove out there.There was a misunderstanding regarding the extra warranty plan, which caused a minor headache. Kelsey Lank: Okay for an oil change, and very kind people at the Service Desk(!), but not somewhere I would take my vehicle for any work. Be prepared to scan through your bill, analyze and discuss individual charges, and ask many questions. Example: charged an hour labor for work that (after promoting) only took 10 minutes, charged separately for a service that had to be completed as part of the work flow for the main service. If you don't have someone who can help you with this process, I wouldn't suggest it taking your car here-- you may wind up paying more than you should.

None of the fluids were topped, and no car wash was done even though they said it was complimentary with oil change. It was never done. If you have free $$$ to throw away, then this is your dealership of choice. There are so many dealerships in the D that are honest and customer-focused; but these guys train their eyes into draining all your money as though you have insurance paying for cost of servicing your vehicle. It was a waste of time and money giving them a chance to service my car....I'll NEVER EVER go back there. I will stick with my dealership that I have worked with for over 15 yrs.

Brandon Cruz: Terrible experience at this dealership. No room at all for negotiating and they do every shady trick in the book to get your money without giving you any respect. I periodically watch the vehicles I was interested in their lot and they would rather sell their deprecating old lot at auction then to negotiate a deal with you. Go somewhere else.

Was turned away due to not having a appointment!!! This was the appointment, when you give me a “between” time!!! These cars sell themselves but lazy and sleazy salesman is a turn off and will be a past to come. Never coming to this dealership again and will be buying my car from Carvana!!! Charrisa O'Maley: AVOID!! Extremely disorganized, unprofessional, and every negative stereotype car sales has. All around horrible experience.I called to see if a certain car was in stock. A rep named Valerie said it was and then double checked to make certain it wasn’t pending. It wasn’t. I informed her I was driving 4 hours to buy the car & was promised the car would be held. Halfway into my drive, she called to say she made a mistake and the car was actually pending. I started looking at cars at other dealerships when I received a call back from them. They said they had another car very comparable to what I was coming for originally and that it was very close in price. I was sent info and it did look like a great option. Due the prior experience, I had them triple check it’s availability. I explained again that I was driving in from 4 hours away and was told it was absolutely available and promised it would be held. I even called when I was an 45 minutes away to update them and spoke with Shara who confirmed it was supposedly still being held. When my husband and I arrived, we were informed that it was sold just minutes before our arrival. They were not apologetic whatsoever. The manager just shrugged and claimed their was no record of our calls/text and said their system must’ve glitched. Twice. I showed him the text communication and call log. His solution was for us to buy a lesser vehicle that cost several thousand more and to force us to finance for a minuscule discount from the manufacture (we wanted to pay cash). It absolutely felt like a bait and switch.
Hwamok Park: I was helped by Alex and Shaun over the purchase of my 2018 CX-5. They were super throughal in the breakdown of the car as well as already having the price point being highly competitive in a 200mi radius. It was a smooth and quick purchase experience and felt that the communication and ethics were both substantially integrated into the whole process.
Matthew Petersen: By far the worst experience with not only sales and service , but Managers Dustin and John H. Go out of their way to ignore their customers issues at any expense until a complaint shows up on their on their desk. Even then, the managerial staff will just deny and dismiss any relevant concerns that the customer may have. The only thing this staff seems to be good at is ignoring phone calls.

Olivia Johnson: Highly dissatisfied with the service I received. The employees seem to be unorganized. When looking for my first car I fell in love with one that had a few scratches and paint chips. I was assured that the paint guy could fix it as long as I brought it back the following week. I drove out to get the repairs, only for them to tell me “the paint guy wasn’t there” and to bring it back the following Monday. After bringing it back, they then proceeded to tell me that that couldn’t fix pearl white paint. It seemed like it was excuse after excuse. If purchasing a used vehicle, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Sabrina S: The customer service at this place is extremely lacking. I get that there's a pandemic going on, however I expect some level of care to still exist. I reached out THREE MONTHS ago to someone via live chat, told them my situation, and was promised a call back within the next few days. I left my info with her, and no one ever called me back. So I decided to shoot them an email to see whats up (that was about 2 months ago or so) and no one replied to my email. Then, about a week ago I noticed an email in my junk from someone who works at this dealership, saying something along the lines of "were you still interested in a vehicle? We may have better deals now than we did when we first talked" LOL when did we first talk?!?! Anyways I replied and told them I'm still interested and will likely be buying in September, and again I got no response! What the hell?! The entire experience has been so offputting that I'll now likely drive out an additional hour to go to a different Mazda/Nissan dealer.
Billy Welcher: I bought a car here, first time working with a dealership. Took me 10 calls in a day to get a single test drive arranged after they said they couldn't find the title(??). Eventually I was able to, but the car had a distinctly low tire when they pulled around. They took it back, filled it up, and that was good. Brakes acted funny, I could tell it was bad rotors. They said they resurfaced them and replaced the pads. The pads were new, rotors looked alright from the outside. Inner side of the rotors were not resurfaced, where it was actually a problem. One tire ended up leaking and having a nail stuck into it, which was promptly patched after replacing the front rotors for $120. The car works fantastic otherwise, and I wasn't going to find another one like it for the price. But they outright lied about some of the work done on it. Fortunately I knew it was a risk and that the work was simple enough for me to do, so I took it. Still, I don't think I'd be shopping here for another vehicle unless I found another steal like this one.
Jason Nihranz: I worked with Suburban for 3 days only to have the car sold out from under me. Jason scott never once asked for monies down as I would have gladly given him. Also they made me do all of the leg work to get payoffs. Customer service there is none. All they did us pass me around as if I was too much work to sell a car to. Big mistake I'm the corporate buyer of vechiles for my company.

Katie Saigh: Went to them for years, previously had no issues, the last oil change I got they didn't fill my car with oil, my engine was dry by the next scheduled change, and they overtightened my lug nuts which I had to replace. Don't go even if you liked them before.

aleksandar bogoevski: Bought 2 cars from this place and I just remembered why I haven't been there for a service of my vehicle for over 2.5 years.Over 2h to change oil and swap the tires from summer to winter tires(winter tires have their own rims and lugs) with an appointment in the books.I provided them lug nuts for the winter tire neatly in a box they didn't even used them.TPMS sensors not set, went back twice and still not set. Didn't even try to do a test drive to check if the sensors are working.Purely disappointment with the service and their steps to check the car, to make sure your vehicle is safe.

Brad Stevens: Didn’t tighten lug nuts on front driver side in our only family car. I take my year and a half year old son in this car daily. Wheel could have fallen off. Absolutely negligence. Am livid. Brand new wheel damaged, wheel studs need replaced, brand new McGard lugs all show damage. Extremely unhappy with this dealer. Service rep told me brakes squealing were normal and left off write up when asked to look at it. Also damaged blacked out chrome with pressure washer. Contacting Subaru of America and praying they fix the damages their negligence caused.
Pamela S: Time and again, the Service team at Hodges has been incredibly helpful and always straightforward with their service. The most recent experience was when getting the kiddos from school, my very curious 2nd grader decided to explore what moving the internal door latch manually would do. Spoiler: it makes it so the car door will not shut. After some trial and error with a screw driver, a call to Hodges Service advised to just bring the car in. Bungee cords held the door in place for the perilous journey on backroads so the door wouldn't swing open on the freeway. Once onsite, a couple technicians promptly looked at the issue and resolved it in minutes. They said they hadn't seen it before, but they were still able to fix it easily, thank goodness. With the kids in tow and trying to make it to an evening kid's class, I am beyond appreciative for the help. Thanks so much to the Service team!

However after a few years of services, not one mentioning an advisory on control arm assembly, a quick service at Glassman down the road highlighted it as an emergency repair.I asked how the mechanic could have missed an issue with the control arms (and lacerated tire) while doing a tire rotation and oil change. They responded "because Glassman do a more in-depth complimentary multi point check than we do".So off to Glassman we go now!

Mark Rigstad: I had a driver’s seat that would no longer adjust forward and backward. It got stuck in a far forward position, which was very uncomfortable. The service representative had me sign an agreement to pay $140 for diagnostic work, then later informed me that it repairing it was not possible and that it would be over $1600 to replace it. I knew it could be repaired, and said so. After consulting with the mechanic, the service rep acknowledged that it could be repaired, but said that they would not do it for “liability reasons“. So after getting it repaired elsewhere for $130, I called to complain about being charged $140 for them to decline to fix it. The service rep said, “no, we didn’t decline to repair it, you declined to replace it.” That’s a well-practiced snappy semantic answer in what is probably a frequent conversation with dissatisfied customers. It is a fact that I wisely declined not to replace it, and also a fact that they declined to repair it. But he knew they had a policy only to replace seats but never to repair them when I brought the vehicle in. He could’ve informed me of the policy at that time, rather than having me sign a $140 agreement for them to do fake diagnostic work. The only reason for having the customer sign that agreement is so that they make money whether the customer decides to replace the seat or not. It’s a shady practice. Not only will I not use their service department again, but I will also buy my next Subaru from a different dealership. If you can’t trust their service department, you probably can’t trust their sales department either.
